The Speedy team arrived at 8 am - truly amazing and esp on a holiday weekend - and replaced our rusted and leaking AC unit. I feel the cool air already. Daniel's colleagues, including his son Daniel Jr., were all smart, highly professional and cheerful - and it is 106 degrees today!!!! We read in Next Door about this company and low and behold the next day our air went out. Called them in the evening and they were out the next morning on a Sunday! 116 degrees expected today! I had a service contract with another company that told me if I paid x amount they would give me a discount on repair but they didn't tell me that they don't have enough staff to do repairs quickly-- in la quinta any AC issue is almost an emergency when it's 100 degrees outside. I arrived at my parents rental in La Quinta on a Saturday afternoon and we realized the master bedroom thermostat wasn't working and it was unbelievably hot in that room. I called a few different places and Speedy AC was the only place that was able to come out on such short notice. I called Daniel, he wasn't available. He gave me the number for Carlos, who said he could be there in 30 minutes. I think he arrived less than 15 minutes later, I was so surprised and happy. Recently I had Speedy AC out to get a quote for replacing our HVAC. I called Speedy AC on a recommendation by word-of-mouth from my nephew. Both my nephew and his mother-in-law had their systems replaced here in Palm Desert, and they were both very happy about the price, the service, the commitment to the schedule and the overall experience! So, I thought..."who better to call" than Speedy AC! When Daniel came to our home to evaluate the system, he was straight forward about what he recommended for replacing our system and gave us an excellent quote! He was calm and understanding when we told him that we were going to wait until the fall, when we were finished with our home remodel and ready for him to do his work. We thought we were done with Speedy AC until the fall, when we were ready to replace our system. But two days later when we were leaving for Northern California, we were saying our goodbyes to our friends and neighbors...when our friend walked across the street and told us she had been without AC for three days and it was over 100 degrees in her home. The same day, she had a technician out for more than 3 1/2 hours to repair the system. But, the technician told her the system was fried and left with an assurance his supervisor would be out shortly. When the supervisor finished his two hours, he affirmed the system was shot and he would be happy to write up a contract to replace the system (with a very large price tag!) Our neighbor is an elderly woman and she needed a fully working AC. So that night, I called Daniel at 9:00 p.m. and he was there by 10:15 to see what he could do to repair the system. Within 1 1/2 hours, Daniel had replaced the fan motor, a capacitor and charged the freon! The system was up and running and the temp was dropping fast! Before he left, our friend asked "how much do I owe you Daniel," he just said "let's just see how it does for the next couple of days and we will talk." I almost never write reviews, but it has been years since I have been as pleased with a contractor as I have been with Speedy AC. We received proposals from seven firms and chose Speedy AC. From a good competitive bid to flawless workmanship, our experience could not have been more positive. Maybe the most pleasing aspect were the add-ons made at Daniel's own initiative and his own expense which were not included in the bid scope. There is a new General in the valley, his name is General Daniel Torres and he owns Speedy Air Conditioning & Heating in La Quinta, the best little A/C and heating company I have ever dealt with. His prices are down and dirty, his knowledge, service and response time is unmatchable. I was so impressed with his service after installing 2 new York A/C units in my La Quinta home, I then decided to have him install new York A/C units in my Orange County homes, one of which is a rental. A year after the the new unit was installed in the rental, something failed during a heat wave, the tenant called a local A/C repair company, received a bill for $300.00 which they expected me to pay which I did. At that time I told the tenant that the only company allowed to work on my A/C and Heating was Speedy Air and If they did call another company for repair, the bill was on the tenant. Within a couple of weeks after the $300.00 incident, the system failed again. The tenant called me late afternoon, I immediately called Speedy Air, they dispatched a truck with two technicians early the next morning from La Quinta to Irvine arriving Irvine by sunup. They immediately diagnosed the problem (which the other company totally missed) and had the system back up in 2 Hours. I didn't receive a bill from Speedy Air after driving all the way to Irvine, so I called asking what I owed, they replied nothing, it was under warranty and the company stands 100% behind it's labor and materials. When you call Speedy Air & Heating, you will know that you are getting the best price, straight answers, best trained technicians and a warranty and commitment you can depend on. My AC wasn't getting cold. Called up Daniel and they showed up the next day, refilled the freon and found the leak (which is a whole new expensive issue).
