Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this company. I contacted them to come out, look at an HVAC job, and provide me with a quote. They were recommended to me by someone I trust, so I was looking forward to potentially working with them. However, there seemed to be an assumption that simply coming out to provide an estimate meant they had already been hired for the job. I also had another HVAC company come out to provide a quote, which I believe is completely reasonable when comparing pricing and services before making a decision. When it became apparent that I was getting multiple estimates, the interaction became uncomfortable and, in my opinion, the response was unprofessional. At no point had I agreed to hire anyone, and I had not even received a final price. I'm not sure why any customer would be expected to commit to a job before knowing what they are going to be charged. I respect everyone's time and appreciate someone coming out to look at a project, but customers should also feel comfortable asking questions, reviewing pricing, and getting multiple quotes without feeling pressured or made uncomfortable. Recently, I returned home from work Friday evening, about 16:00 (Military time), and found that my Central A/C unit was blowing hot air. Without hesitation, I immediately called the office of Right Away Air Conditioning and the owner, Patrick, answered the phone. I explained the issue and asked, since it was late in the day and they would be closing soon, if someone from his team could come over tomorrow and conduct a diagnostic test. To my surprise, he stated that he would have someone over within a couple of hours and further instructed that I should turn the A/C system off. Shortly, to my surprise, the owner, Patrick, was at my door with his tools to conduct the diagnostic check himself. Within minutes, he determined that I had, wait for it...a blown fuse. The triple digit heat in our Coachella Valley had reached about 123 degrees that day. He changed the fuses and litterally solved the problem. Amazing customer service. Had our AC go out late Friday and couldn't get our unit serviced until the next business day. Gave Right Away a call Saturday morning and Patrick was at our house in 30 minutes. Diagnosed the issue and we were back to getting cool air after replacing the motor. After buying a new washer/dryer I was very upset when I kept getting an error message on the dryer that the vent was blocked. I thought we had cleaned everything before the new machines arrived. After some research I realized that we had not cleaned the vent, that runs up into our attic. After calling a number of companies, Right Away just stood out as a professional and knowledgeable company, so we went ahead and booked there service. Patrick was great on the phone and explained everything in detail, and in fact we ended up getting all our ducts cleaned as well as a service on the air conditioning. Right Away Air Conditioning was recommended initially to me by another HVAC Company, as Right Away specializes in air duct cleaning. Air duct cleaning, to be done properly, needs to be some specialized equipment. Living in the dusty desert, I find it absolutely necessary to be done every 5-7 years. It was an amazing process and the high tech equipment they use is top notch. The service techs were outstanding. Travis, most notably takes the lead and is highly talented in his profession, communicates the issues/procedures, thoroughly. He was able to identify an issue with the routing of my ducts which another company had done when installing a new system. The haphazard way that the other company had routed the ducts, caused inefficiencies in my system in addition to a possible fire hazard. Travis again, was on top of this, had taken photos and described the issues at hand. I had another issue arise later on that was unrelated to their work, but something that caused an issue that I deemed as emergent, close to the end of the work day. Again, Travis cheerfully came to the rescue, quickly identified and rectified the problem, until more work could be done in the light of the next day. I'm very impressed with Patrick and his team.
