We hired Daniel to install a mini-split heat pump in our bedroom. After discussing our needs, he recommended a unit and was ready to install it the next day. Last Years my old furnace acted up it didn't want to light sometimes. I had the original installer check it out and said it needed a $1000 part and would have to order that part and would call me. Also suggested replacing it. First, over a month went by and they never called back and the furnace worked ok for the whole rest of the heating season. This yr the same problem happened and I had gotten estimates that were very high to replace it. A Neighbor and good friend referred me to Daniel and I called him at noon and he said he would be by at 3pm. He was on the dot. He looked and checked the system and I asked how much to simply replace it at this point. He gave me number that compared VERY well against what I had be told the fall before. Also the make of furnace was much better. So I asked him when could he install it. His answer was how about tomorrow morning at 8 am. And the next day his men were there at 8 they removed the old unit and by 3 it was all done and old equipment was hauled away by a recycler. HIs quote also included replacing the ac coil and filter rack and he cleaned up the floor and installed sheet metal. I will also tell you I am handy and in retirement I did some work here is PS to fill my time. So I know something about the normal quality of work in valley. I want to tell a story about how impressive and trustworthy Daniel Torres of Speedy Air is. Five years ago we moved to the Desert and our home was built in the early 90's with two 5 ton A/C systems. After several months one of which stopped working. I have electrical experience and can do most all home repairs myself. But, this one was a puzzle to me. Speedy Air was recommended by a friend and Daniel (owner) came same day to check out my system. I had already conferred with a relative who is an A/C tech in Texas and even he could not offer a reason for the A/C to not work. Needless to say, I was prepared to write a check for an entire new system. Within 10 minutes Daniel sent his helper to the truck to retrieve a specialty tool and VIOLA my A/C roared back to Life! Daniel could have recommended a whole new system and I would have agreed and paid. The fee was less than $100 and that A/C is still running great today Five years later. But this house has two units and the other Interior unit the Evaporator and the furnace are ORIGINAL to the house (22 years old) on July 15th, 2023 it was 115 degrees outside and the A/C went out. Daniel came and diagnosed that the system was not salvageable and it would take a week to get the replacement Unit and get it installed I agreed and told him to order the unit. I checked around during that week and the price Daniel gave me was lower than anyone else I spoke with, my relative in Texas stated that it was a great price and that he could not do the job for that price. Here we are a month later and I have a GREAT New system and it is quiet and puts out so much more cold air. I waited a month to write this so as to give the system 30 days to glitch out and it is solid as a rock. I have referred Speedy Air many times to friends and neighbors many of whom have used his company and there have been nothing but glowing reviews. The hottest day of the year and our aging AC unit decided to stop working! I received a referral from a friend/neighbor for Daniel owner of Speedy AC. I called him at 8am...told him the problem he said he could come out at check the AC unit at 3pm (I was expecting a day or two at least!) Daniel texted me at 2:15 pm said he was on his way...arrived at 2:30pm! (I was beyond impressed!) He asked a few questions then went outside to check out the AC unit. He came back in shortly and said the compressor wasn't working. He recommended NOT replacing the compressor due to the age of the AC unit...I totally agreed! They showed up fairly quickly when I initially lost my air a few months back. They diagnosed the problem, ordered it (blower motor) and were back the next morning to install it in a pretty quick time frame. What I appreciate is that 2-3 months later when my unit was no longer pushing air through the house again, they came out of within a couple of hours, diagnosed that the unit must've froze over, and the gentleman went right to work hosing it down for me and got my AC blowing nice and cold again throughout the house. I couldn't be happier I went with Speedy AC! They responded right away and came by just an hour after the call. Now that is fast! I didn't even realize they were located right in my neighborhood in La Quinta until I decided to leave them a review and saw the address LOL. They have very very fair rates. I dealt with a few other HVAC companies in the area before and let me tell you, some were charging DOUBLE their rate for R22. Speedy AC replaced the disconnect, capacitors and recharged the system and it was still less than the cost to just recharge the system with the last company I went with. They also were gracious enough to give me tips on how to keep the system running and a heads up that my fan motor is probably the next to go. When I asked about a specific service, they were very honest and told me it probably isn't worth it. That indicates to me that they truly are honest people that won't try to upsell anything unnecessary. I am impressed all around. I will be using Speedy AC for all my future HVAC needs! During a 115 degree day last week, my AC began blowing hot air. This was about 5:30 in the evening and I began to panic. I knew I was in for a long night and possible long couple of days. Anyway , I called Speedy AC thinking I would leave a message for Daniel. How surprised I was that he answered the phone and said he would be here within 30 minutes. He was here in 20 , looked at the unit , put in some freeon , and explained that this 20 yo unit was done , but I should be ok for the night.
