Order Request: Excellent and professional response. Communication about dates and time work was to be done: Excellent Technician, Genaro, showed up on time and gave us choices on irrigation repair. His advice and work were great, no mess and knocked it out. Not a super hard job but excellent work and one that needed to be done. As SWP did not know my past with their company or connect my personal address they required a CC# on file as to them I was a new customer and they did not want to get stood up, I appreciate that and gave Card# and did not mention my past as that is confusing sometimes. Billing 1) Paid technician via their system at conclusion of job on my CC which he was on site for the job and was given an invoice receipt with explained correct hours, parts, and amounts. Nothing spectacular here just what they do every day. Our bank account was charged immediately this was about a month ago. Billing 2) A problem, 10 days after work was done and paid for I got an email receipt for another billing. Okay just a mistake I hoped but what I saw was disturbing. I got a different amount invoiced for the same job, yes more hours. Not sure how this could happen as I had the work order in my hand with technicians labor and parts detail on it. Someone took it upon themselves to add hours to the job. and I find that a bit sketchy. I called that same day as the second billing was debited out of my bank account. I gave the info of both billings to the person on the phone could only take the information as the accounting person was unavailable. Next day I got an email from accounting person saying they'd credit invoice #2 and I should see it is 2-3 business days. Okay not a problem but no explanation or apology to taking my money without authorization. Now 12 days later still no credit so I emailed and called again two days prior to holiday asking for accounting person but she was unavailable so the very nice person on phone took my info again. Now no communication and still no credit to my account, no apology or explanation. I am just confused how this could happen in this day and age where positive reviews make a brand. Yes, it is not a large amount of money about $500 but it is my money and now my time. So now almost a month later, I have wasted a lot of my time trying to fix someone else's problem. If I owed them money I am sure they'd be calling me everyday threatening to lien my home. Now I will have to spend more time alerting my bank to dispute their invoice #2 debit amount from my account. SWP is a large company and one person is responsible for giving their company a bad reputation, review, and very doubtful I will ever assign them to another job personally or professionally. This is an earned negative review as I went out of my way to resolve several times.

Fine, so they fixed 3 of the 10 items listed on the quote and it took an hour and 45 mins. With two people. Two angle stops and a shortened drain. My contractor shows up and asked all the questions you'd expect and says I overpaid and still need another plumber to come back and fix it all. Gave me a new plumber to contact, (who has 30 years experience in the valley)he came over and fixed everything in less than an hour and put together our vanity plumbing for free. Just to be nice. His price was fair and still less than my updated price from these guys. I had to call Randal's multiple times to get someone on the phone to explain why this happened. Excuses. Spend your hard earned money with a company that is straight forward and won't gouge unsuspecting customers.

They explained that our drains needed a full cleaning after years of buildup from oil and my "oops" egg shell habit. There were complications on their end with sourcing the refrigerant and originally was going to be until tomorrow to finalize the job. We explained that this was going to cost us revenue due to reimbursing guests. She took that to heart, personally went to their storage facility to procure the materials, and then coordinated the work this evening. And to top it off, she called just now at 8:30pm to close the loop and insure we knew it was fixed and tested. KATIE IS A SUNLOGIX ROCKSTAR... please give her and the team a big raise. We've been in our 2nd home in the desert, a 20 yr old structure, for 5 years. We have 4 large and 1 medium size heat pump HVAC systems, with room controlled diverters. Yes, five! I've worked directly with 4 other HVAC firms in the desert, including "THE largest...", and none had quality service people that knew what they were doing. Then we found Timo's, a family owned business that provides quality services, not just the equipment sale and install, but ongoing service...and fairly priced. We had major issues with our old heat pump systems and replaced 2 compressors and 2 air handlers with one firm, and another smaller unit and air handler with another firm. Neither firms installed equipment correctly, or sold us the wrong equipment. And we attempted repairs with 2 other firms (spoke with others that never returned calls or showed). Then we called Timo's since we'd never heard of the them before (didn't want to pay for the big firm's marketing budgets) and were quickly educated by Timo Jr. on what the proper Trane equipment was that should be installed, versus the non-dealer and quick sale dealers did to us. We purchased 3 more air handlers and 2 compressors, fairly priced (nothing is "a deal" when replacing entire HVAC systems) and reinstalled the 2 prior air handlers, suspended from a ceiling in a cramped crawl space - - - a big Residential Job. All 5 units and air handlers are now working well and we're enjoying the savings on electric bills from efficient units. We had bumps along the way with follow-up issues, as with any large job, but the service that Big Marcus provides was the difference for us. Don't let this quiet and laid back big guy fool you, he works quickly and efficiently and KNOWS HVAC systems well, quickly identifying issues. He single handedly installed 3 duct routing vents to divert our separate room air cooling, something a prior "biggest in the desert" promised to do with prior install, but they didn't have the technicians who knew how to figure things out. Plus, Marcus knows Nest! We have 6 Nest thermostats and the 1 required Nexia for Trane's top unit (Fix that Trane! License software to Nest!!). Other HVAC companies claimed they knew Nests, but always seemed to mis-wire one. My wife and Timo Sr. even worked out a compromise on a garage converter unit that she wasn't happy with me purchasing, given the operation wasn't what she expected after the install, maintaining our happy and appreciative customer experience. This may be too-much-info (TMI!) for a review, but given the time and money we've wasted in the desert on finding a competent and capable HVAC service company, hopefully this will spare you the shopping time, stress, and frustrations! "The Timo's Difference" is real for us - - a family owned business that wants to sell quality HVAC equipment and continue to service that equipment with competent technicians! We're glad we found Timo's from a 1 in 1,000 received fliers in the mailbox. read more

Our fairly new air conditioner (1.5 years) was shutting itself off and the thermostat screen was going black. We called Timo's and they sent out Romeo. In less than 2 minutes he discovered the problem, showed me its source, and explained our options. The air conditioning condensation line running from the furnace has an automatic shut-off feature (required in present-day AC installations) in case the water in it backs up. Our house was built 43 years ago when the condensation line was allowed to simply empty into the dirt somewhere below the slab foundation. Romeo used compressed air to clear the blockage. He showed me how to clear the line myself, and he suggested that it might remain clear, since it had worked for 40-some years. He explained the possibility of installing a new condensation line and a pump if the problem returned and persisted. The problem did return and persist so I called back Timo's suggesting that I probably needed installation of a pump and new line. They told me that they could send Romeo to install it (Yay!), and that the installation required about 3 hours. Romeo returned on a Sunday afternoon, on time. He discussed with me the various possibilities for placement of the new line and the operation of the pump. This guy is amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to take time to explain what needs to be done and why. He was comfortable with me "shadowing" him and asking a multitude of questions as he worked (If only I had done that with my own father when I was young!). I very much enjoyed our conversation as he worked and I was impressed with his speed and efficiency (finished in under 3 hours). Most impressive was watching him solve problems and resolve difficulties as they arose. Because of my being able to watch and converse, I am confident of the quality of work and the professionalism of this technician and this company. I give Timo's an "A" and Romeo gets an "A+." I don't care how many AC/Heating companies in the Coachella Valley CLAIM they are No 1. They can't hold a candle to Timo's! I first met Timo about 13 years ago when we were renting a house in Palm Springs. He came over, he'd just opened his business and fixed our problem right away. OK, that's nice but what's so special about that you might wonder? ALL of Timo's employees have the SAME high standard work ethic as Timo. He just wouldn't stand for shoddy work, work that 'sort of' got finished but really didn't, rudeness. Nope, none of those things come with ANY of Timo's guys. Once we got into our permanent new home, we had Timo install a new AC for the whole house. It has never disappointed us. His company calls regularly to check on our appliance, offers Plans where they automatically come and give you a Winter and then a Sumner service, and when the machine stops running ( ours has a quirk - it ONLY stops on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings around 5 to 7 PM )- so you'd think you would not be able to get service until the next Monday morning, right? We live in the desert and our summer daytime temperatures can easily reach 120 degrees so when the AC goes out, you need help FAST. All you have to do is call the Timo's number, an operator connects you right away with the technician who is on duty that evening, and they come right out! Reasonable weekend/holiday rates and always fix the issue. Sometimes they go WAY over and above the call of duty and clear out the entire AC enclosure - that maintenance should be the homeowner job but Timo's guys - like I said at the beginning, have a work ethic that is VERY VERY HIGH. Forget that guy on TV who brags that his company is Number 1 in the desert. Call Timo's - just once and you will see what I am talking about - they are different - they are polite, experts, on time, amazing! I would not call ANYONE else - for the last 13 years! read more

I had a great experience with your company today! Andrew Hernandez was my tech and he was professional, kind, informative and respectful. He had on gloves and a mask and respected my space by staying at least 6 ft. away while in my home (and also instructions about the courtyard gate and my front door since I have two dogs that I wanted to make sure did not get out). He was late about 30 minutes but I appreciated both the emails and the texts advising me of his ETA. He was here for about an hour and was thorough in his performance duties. In fact, he did a couple of things I had never seen before during annual routine HVAC maintenance - he did a temp check in every room and also went into the attic to blow out the furnace hatch. He kept me apprised of everything he was doing before he did it and why he was doing it. I left him a $20.00 cash tip which shocked him. I was just so appreciative of his service and that people like him are out there during these trying and scary times making sure our a/c equipment is in tip top shape before the hot temps arrive in a few days (102 on Thursday!). Paperwork and payment were all contact less and done over the Internet. Within 5 minutes of him leaving, I had an email with both the invoice and a very detailed report of everything he did. I opted for the annual maintenance which was $149 and includes two visits (one in the spring for a/c maintenance and one in the fall for heater maintenance) - this seems to be a standard annual price among HVAC companies so this was more about "what do you get for your money?". I'm so glad I switched from Comfort Air who only spent about 20 minutes when they were here last and the tech spent the next 15 minutes trying to sell me on equipment and services I didn't need. read more

It is so refreshing to have had the opportunity to work with Timo's crew that included, 'Vinny', 'Jose', and 'Albano'! My AC was going on the fritz. A call was made to have the problem diagnosed. Within about a week or so, a rep came to do a preliminary look around, shortly thereafter, a full assessment was made by a second rep, and two days ago, Vinny, Jose and Albano came prepared to do the install. Let me tell you, I've worked with a lot of 'teams' throughout my life - from the east coast to west - and this trio team has been the best. It was an 11-hour job. They arrived on time, in 90+ degree weather, did the complete install which included a lot of work having to be done on the inside and outside, testing the install, cleaning up after themselves and not leaving until they got the 'seal of approval.' Throughout those 11 hours, while the temp rose to over 100, these boys worked tirelessly and professionally. Unbeknownst to them, they kept me entertained by their great moods, the comradery amongst the three, the help they gave each other without changing moods, the joking with each other in a 'I got your back' way. I was finding myself giggling while working - in that 97+ heat - (I know, don't say it) - and enjoying the day all things considered. If I need a crew to come in again, be it for a 3-person or 1- person job, I'm going to request these boys! Don't know how much the job cost, but to me, it was invaluable! Disabled person living in Palm Springs, CA. I switched a/c companies shortly after my HVAC unit was installed over 10 years ago due to poor customer service from my original a/c installer. I chose Timo's after a neighbor used them to install a new a/c unit and raved about their friendly, professional technicians. I can't overstate how extremely happy I am since making that switch and choosing Timo's as my new local a/c and heating provider. Everyone from the office staff and sales team, to the in-field technicians are all top-notch. Since switching to Timo's, I've installed a mini-split a/c and heating unit in my garage and I couldn't be happier with the purchase and install, as well as the service they provide every 6 months for maintenance. Their rates are fair and the technicians are hardworking and trustworthy- yes, trustworthy! Over the past 8 years, Timo's have proven their honesty time and time again by explaining issues when they arise and offering solutions and alternative solutions that don't break the bank. I've waited three months to post a review in case there were any after-the-job uh-ohs. I'm happy to report that Timo's is hands-down the best HVAC in the desert area. Several other HVAC providers said they won't even service the Joshua Tree area. Many of the HVAC servicers in the Morongo Basin (MB) were not capable of completing the job. Compared to the one other HVAC servicer in the MB that could do the job, Timo's bid was the best and they made it worthwhile to upgrade to the Trane. They removed all of the old air handling system and vents; installed new ones; installed the Trane; and installed two stand-alone units in two remote rooms. The job was completed professionally, on-time, and on-budget. They've returned to Joshua Tree twice to ensure the system was functioning as promised and even replaced the air filters each time (monthly servicing). Since it was installed during December we've used both the heating and cooling functions (hello high desert extremes). Goats chewed off some of the insulating materials on the outside condenser and Timo's replaced it without any issues during the monthly servicing. Timo's was a breath of fresh air to deal with. We live in Florida and opted to have the Old System removed and installation of a new one in Palm Springs for my elderly father-in-law. Being so many miles away Timo's staff made it an easy process for our family. They had someone out to the home Less than 24hrs. Tim was our contact going into the home and even had a portable unit set up to get by a few days until installation. He was very informative and gave us the information we needed to make the decision to either replace what was broken and maybe fix our problem or go with a newer system that wasn't original to the home. No sales pressure whatsoever and several recommendations were given. I loved that they have the feature of knowing exactly when your tech is on the way and also how they will handle the city permit and HOA approval. Our first call was on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and we were surprised to get a response from a real person and set up an appt with Ken a technician the Tuesday after the holiday weekend. Ken was prompt, polite, professional and personable. He basically sold us on the system. Vinny and Jose were there the next day on time and ready to work. They were also prompt, polite, professional and personable. They laid out the game plan for the 4 unit mini-split install. They protected the surfaces with skid free drop cloths. They worked a solid 8 hour day with focus, efficiency and were able to answer all of our questions. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old system. They returned on time the next morning to get the system up and running. Vinny gave us a mini tutorial on working the remotes, simply explained how the system works and and gave professional advice on how to use the system in our absence. It was top notch from start to finish and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Timo AC and Plumbing. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the excellent customer service I have continued to have with Timos. upon moving to the desert our first call was to Timos to get an honest review of our current system. We had a quick and pleasant experience setting up the appointment as well as my many questions. Twice a year when they come for the winter/summer checks we have had more of the same treatment. Our technician that came out always did a terrific job. Today I just had a terrific experience with Nick Mata. Nick not only took the time to answer my many questions he also also explained tips to keeping our system running as flawlessly as it has been for the past 4 years. I believe that he should be acknowledged for being a terrific brand ambassador for Timos. Nick took his time too do a thorough job and I appreciated that. After dealing with a number of poor quality and dishonest HVAC providers over the years, I was delighted to find the team at Timo's, Every person, including Tyler in sales, Vincent, Garay, Adam, and the rest of the installation team including their manager Ricardo proved themselves to be highly competent and knowledgeable. Each one worked very hard to make a big installation go smoothly, even when extra hours were needed. Vincent's knowledge of the new system, along with his persistence and problem-solving skills proved to be the key to the success of the installation. The team left the job site in a better condition than they found it. This was not the case with my previous HVAC contractors, who left debris everywhere. I am very satisfied with the new system, and the firm has committed to follow up on a few items. Sam Gayer of Timo's Air Conditioning came to my home, because my new Air Conditioning was not working. He diagnose the problem and said that the system has failed and I needed a new Condenser. Sam called the Manufacturer to get a new Condenser. They told him that it would take up to 4 to 6 weeks or more for delivery. Sam told them that was unacceptable. It was summer in the middle of the desert and it was very hot that day. Also a person in the household is on Oxygen 24/7 hrs per day. Sam fought and went to bat for me with the manufacturer for a faster shipment of the new system. Sam was successful and got a new Condenser the same day. Sam, Adam Pedroza and Jose worked until evening to get the new system up and working. I cant thank Sam Gayer and his crew enough. My experience with Sam and his crew was exceptional. As a property manager I have dealt with my fair share of heating and A/C companies. With that said there is only one now that my clients use and that is Timo's. A big reason for this is due to Marcus. I met Marcus 4 or 5 years ago when he was repair specialist and found that he was honest and always put my clients first. I remember one time when I had a client arriving at 7pm and I had turned down A/C around 12pm only to find it blowing hot air!! I called Marcus and told him the scenario and he was there within two hours with parts to do repair, saving the day. So when it came time for me to upgrade my Heating and A/C unit I called Marcus (now involved in sales, but will do repairs when needed) and he set me up with best unit available. The install was perfect and the follow up to see how the unit was doing sets Timo's apart from the rest. I cannot express how incredibly amazed I am about this company. at our personal home our air conditioning went out of course when temperatures were above 110 degrees. We called this company and they actually had someone in the area and they came right over. Even though it was so hot they still had a smile on their face and they fixed the air-conditioning perfectly. Recently we needed to have a company maintain our business air conditioning system. They were called... Came by... And we signed a maintenance contract. Recently we had a small drip in the ceiling and they literally came right over. It is so unusual in this desert to find a company that responds this quickly. My experience in the past is when they say they will be there on Tuesday... I had a situation where it was extremely hot here in PS and I called numerous service companies and no one was able to do an immediate service. I called Timo's and spoke to Ed Susanna who really reassured me that they would be able to take care of my situation. I was so relieved and grateful. She returned my call immediately and said she had a technician in the area finishing a job and had him scheduled to be at my residence in 20 mins.Much to my surprise Jason was exactally on time. Jason did a test to find the problem with had to do with the condenser and had me back in the cool air withing 30 mins. I am so grateful to Susanna who took the time to listen and understand my situation, and for Jason that handled the problem quickly and efficiently. Great service from this organization from start to finish. I bought a house in Rancho Mirage and tried to install my own Nest Thermostat. When I pulled the old one off of the wall, it was wired with 2 wires and the Nest doesn't work that way. I called Timo's, they offered to come out the same day to check it out. Eddie called me prior to his on-time arrival. He showed up neat, clean and he was very professional. (Everything from clean trucks to personal appearance matters when you're inviting someone into your home-- Timo's & staff present themselves very well) Eddie had the Nest wired up quickly and he had to go to the roof to re-wire years of "custom" low-voltage wiring. He tested the system in all modes and waited to make sure it all cycled correctly and shut itself off. A year ago Timo's replace our old, unreliable, inefficient heating and AC system with a quality Trane system including the air filtration. We chose Timo's based on Yelp ratings, Angie's List rating, and BBB ratings. Chris, who originally came to meet with us a year ago and to help us choose the right system, came back to personally inspect the system and make sure that we were happy with our purchase. That's integrity! The sales department actually followed up to make sure that they kept their promises! Chris is great to work with and the installers where very professional and thoughtful about cleaning up after themselves. We highly recommend paying for the upgrade to the whole house filtration system. It makes an enormous difference for cleanliness and allergies when the desert dust is blowing. I rate Timo's 6 stars out of 5. (The extra star is for Chris.) read more

I live in Indian Walls, CA in a mid-century modern home. I needed an A/C replacement. The installation had some complexity due to the locations of the A/C components. I received two bids, and Timo's had the best package and price. They replaced the furnace (indoor unit), the condenser (outdoor unit), and the plumbing water heater. Everything was great except there was a noise in the furnace that was an issue. I worked with Keith and Jose at Timo's to solve the noise issue. They agreed the noise was not normal and needed to be resolved. They tried different part replacements which did not solve the problem. Then, they asked to replace the entire indoor heating unit! They performed that work under warranty, and the equipment replacement solved the noise issue entirely. Based on that experience, I highly recommend Timo's for your A/C needs. Tom Sager read more

Most of these reviews relate to repair and maintain. My own situation was requesting for an estimate to replace 1 or up to 3 of my 3 ton HVAC systems (condenser, coil and air handler). As I will note with respect to other vendors that I called, I wrongly assumed that this firm's advertising and name recognition would not only make them a volume dealer but a competitive bidder. They provided limited pricing and configuration options for us and ended up being one of the three highest priced proposals on a per unit basis (no discount or break for multiple units/project) -- we actually got 11 bids. No negotiation or reduction of bid once they were told they were high. It appears many of the valleys a/c contractors work on super high fixed profit margin without regard to their actual cost of equipment and labor. read more

We had Comfort Air install our new HVAC system seven years ago and called them when we had an…read moreoutage. The tech came out, fixed it, and then noted our whole duct system was inadequate. We contracted to have it replaced for a little over $9k. The crew who came to work didn't seem to have the full work order and did not provide tarps or anything to cover the mess that fell from the ceiling during the job. We were promised a portable AC unit during the day while the AC was off but that didn't happen either. Our order called for all new vents, but that was news to the crew on site. They did leave and eventually return with replacement vents. The original tech said he would follow up the next day to make everything right, but that's two weeks ago and no word. I'm not 100 percent sure that everything on my work order was installed, but the vents and system are working well. I guess I expected better customer service since we had a great experience the first time. Update: the general manager is following up to investigate our concerns. He was immediately responsive to my review. Hopefully all will be made right.

Less than a week after the install, we noticed a wet patch on our ceiling caused by faulty plumbing from the heat pump. Today, the blower motor began running continuously. They gave us a 10 AM to 12 PM window to fix it but didn't arrive until 2 PM--where one technician admitted they made a wiring and a second tech denied any errors on their part. They sent out 7 technicians and not one stayed to properly check and test the system before leaving. Nearly a year of continuous breakdowns and endless excuses. Look elsewhere if you value your time and money.

The company that installed it ghosted us even though they had been out here from Feb. through April trying to fix what they said was a leak. So my daughter did a lot of research to find this trustworthy company, All Day Heating and Cooling INC. Dominick came out and found an incorrect installation of the coil and evidence of shoddy past repairs (e.g., parts taped back together). His company had loaned out all of their portable AC units to other customers, so he was able to get permission to purchase a new portable unit for us to use overnight until the repairs could be made the following day. That never happened with our former company. Israel and his team came in around 8am the next morning and took pictures before, during, and after the repairs were made. They were there at least 7-8 hours installing the new coil, making repairs, and cleaning the compressor, as well as running tests to make sure there were no leaks and that everything was working well. Since Dominick had written a detailed report about all of the problems he had found in our HVAC system, we will use the pictures Israel took and Dominick's report to go after our former dishonest HVAC company. By the way, Dominick said the same corporation that bought our former company has also bought up many of the familiar AC companies in the desert. So when people get bids from various companies, they are often owned by that same corporation. Beware! Dominick texted me yesterday to make sure our system is working well in all of this heat. I was so impressed! All Day Heating and Cooling INC is honest and has integrity. They communicated effectively throughout the process, were punctual, took care of our house and cleaned up well, and did excellent work supported by photos. I am thankful to have worked with this small, local, family-owned business. So glad to know that they have a tech on duty 24/7!
