The air conditioning unit that cools the main part of our house didn't seem to be keeping us as cool as usual. We'd had so much trouble with all four of the York units the builder had installed so before I called our regular HVAC contractor who would just replace them with the same, we did some research and came to the conclusion that new Trane systems would be an improvement in our climate. The Trane website game me a list of local authorized dealers and Timo's had the best ratings and could quickly respond. Frankie came out and did lots of sleuthing to learn where all the system components were installled. He found a dead condenser which had a bunch of melted wires inside. He gave us a quote to repair it and another to replace it with the Trane. We got weak and had him try to repair it which Frankie spent hours to complete. Luckily, the repair failed and we got our new Trane installed by Timo's and for exactly the price I had expected. Frankie is a saint - so patient to explain everything so we actually understood what was happening and why. Now we're the coolest. read more

System still not working right after $30,000 thrown at it for a new everything including new ductwork. I'm sure the bugs in my attic are happy that I'm air-conditioning it for them, but I can't seem to get any cool air in my master bedroom below as a picture of their fine work where the ductwork as an attached to the Plenum properly and it's blowing cold air into the attic. read more

$650 for a garbage disposal replacement. Ridiculous! The price to purchase one is about $129 and their installation cost is $329. We opted to pay the $69 diagnostic fee and call it a day. $69 down the drain literally. Think twice before calling these guys and call around for a couple of quotes. read more

Hired them for work at the end of the work I was told I have damaged pipes in the bathroom that they had replaced a toilet seal in. Now both toilets fill extra slow when flushed. That wasn't a problem before they came. They say it can be fixed but they would charge me almost 10k. Never again read more

Super shady business practices. Would not provide me with an estimated cost for a simple AC capacitor over the phone, which I assumed was the problem, which it turned out to be. The representative said the technician had to come by and do the diagnostic. Fair enough. Then without telling me the cost beforehand, he put in a new capacitor and then charged me $485, which is more than twice what others charge. I should have told the tech to pull out the capacitor and take a hike. Buyer beware. read more

They always answer and if the system needs something asap, I have had them be able to come out within 2-4 hours. In 100 degree plus heat, it is critical. Their technicians are exceptional. The super experienced ones like Romeo and Josh are on another level. Their knowledge levels and ability to diagnose a problem and the right problem the first time is WOW. Romeo is so kind, decent, competent and brilliant. I have learned so much from him. I can only hope Romeo gets assigned to my houses whenever I need anything. Working with Timo is most everything you would hope for when you hire a trade. The salesman I'm sorry I can't remember his name! Was on time, very knowledgeable. (I'm a long time electrical contractor, so I'm quite familiar with when somebody knows what they're talking about.) I like the fact that he stressed quality materials we went with Trane , he climbed up in the attic, took a lot of photos. We went over all the equipment and conditions. The price was fair. Within a few days technicians Tom and Diego showed up, very efficient crew! Very efficient. Anyway, they cleared out the old equipment and put the new in. Everything looks great and works fabulously. Also included with a nice digital Wi-Fi T stat, that they even helped my wife figure out how to use! I live in a gated community and see their Timo trucks frequently around here. I'm blown away! Kudos to Timo's! I feared my unit was broken this afternoon as it didn't turn on when I set the temp. I'm an annual maintenance member. I called Timo's at 3:55 pm to request service. The receptionist indicated that a Tech would be available between 5-7 pm. I was thrilled with that window based upon the time I initially called. Technician arrived at my condo at 4:30 pm. Had them come out for a specific error code on my water heater. They provided service and charged me $250 which did not resolve the problem. The next time they came out, they quoted me $800 for a service that only takes an hour and would not separate labor and equipment in the estimate. They say it's a "set cost" which is what every plumber says when they want to overcharge you. Incidentally, this new repair was also not related to the error code and would not have fixed my problem, but they insisted it had to be done first. There is a local plumber that has five stars on yelp who is one of the few that will provide you an estimate BEFORE they come to your house. This plumber came out and fixed it for $160. I recommend them instead. read more

I paid Timo's $30,000 to replace two Heat Pump units. They pulled City permits and did the work. They never had the work inspected nor closed out the permits with the City. Now they have billed over $1,000 to clean up the permit mess they created by not getting inspections, claiming it was my responsibility. I thought i was paying for a complete job which included closing out permits they pulled. Any professional plumbing and heating company would do that. They have lost me as a customer. read more

Timo's recently expanded their service offerings to include plumbing, and they had a special offering I took advantage of, for a toilet that has a mind of its own....works when it wants to; clogs when it wants to. Anthony came out to look it over. Within a few minutes he had an idea what the issue was and, surprisingly, not only did he NOT try to upsell me on services I don't need, but he also made some suggestions on things to consider changing at some point. If all the service people at Timo's are as honest, friendly, and helpful as Anthony, I'd definitely call them again or recommend them to others! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because, ultimately, the toilet issue wasn't fixed, but it wasn't because of Anthony or Timo's services; I have to tackle the issue differently. read more

Timo's Came out to fix my AC. While I had to wait a few days (it's been 118F and everyone is melting), I was happy to see Jose -- the same tech who fixed my heating system in January. Note to self: now that I'm a member of Timo's maintenance program, set up the maintenance program in April / May BEFORE summer heats up. I already have an October appt for my winter needs. Timo was contacted to repair an in wall leak caused by faulty installation by the builder. The tech Raul was great...friendly, professional, showed up earlier than expected and fixed the leak. We felt the charge of $300+ for leak detection when we knew exactly the location and $600+ to replace a 1" piece of plastic pipe with an elbow was ridiculously priced but felt insurance would cover it. Our $1000 deductible however didn't cover the repair. An attorney contacted us saying that they would go after the builder and would cover all costs but needed a plumbers report on letterhead. I have requested that report 4 times and Timo's has yet to even reply. If you need cooperation for an insurance claim, Timo's is not the company to choose! read more

Timo's is an outstanding company from their office staff to the highly skilled technicians. I was experiencing cooling issues with my air conditioner during this recent 110° weather. I have health issues that require me to be in the coolest environment possible. Nicholas was the technician that came to diagnose and fix the air conditioning problem. He found the problem quickly, informed me of the situation and that he needed to order a part, but would put coolant in that would keep me safe and comfortable until the new part would arrive. They ordered the part quickly, arranged an early appointment, and Nicholas completed the repair. In addition, he made sure to check all the vents and air flow in the house and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working correctly. I was so impressed with all the staff members, the technicians and how organized and professional they were. In today's world it's very rare to find a company that has not only skilled staff and technicians, but people that are truly concerned for others welfare.
