Timos was Fantastic!! I had one company come to my house (since I had a coupon) and to see why my AC was not up spreed...they explained the problem ..charged me $725 only for my AC to go out again after 12 hrs... I called again.. they came back out got it running for only another 12 hours. Called again!! said it would be 10 days before the next service.... My neighbor said to call Timos which it did.. they came out right away and fixed my problem (which the other company said they had done... which was BS.....Timos had me up and running in an hour. I bought a yearly contract with them... 5 company for sure. I Highly recommend them. read more

I still dispute your characterization that I "immediately mocked" your employee, used "aggressive language," or engaged in "abusive behavior." I was certainly upset and frustrated, and I have never denied that. I was standing in a house that had exceeded 100°F during approximately 115°F desert temperatures after your technician had just assured me that I would have functioning A/C throughout the night. The central issue concerning Nicholas has also been misstated in your response. I have never disputed that Nicholas diagnosed the Lennox S40 thermostat as the likely problem or that he placed the system into test mode. The issue is that Nicholas specifically reassured me before leaving that the A/C would continue running cold THROUGH THE NIGHT and into the following morning, until he could return with a replacement thermostat. Approximately ten minutes after he left, the system stopped because the test cycle ended. That is the critical point your response still does not address. Had Nicholas simply told me, "The system is in test mode and will only operate temporarily," there would be no dispute about what occurred. Instead, I relied upon his specific reassurance that I would have cooling throughout the night. This is the key failure here. Your response also fails to address several other important facts: * Why did the A/C stop approximately ten minutes after Nicholas left when I had just been reassured that it would continue operating throughout the night? * Why did your employee laugh while I was distressed and attempting to obtain assistance? * Why was I subsequently told by you or other management that the employee laughed because she was "nervous"? As if that excuses her unprofessional behavior... * Why was I told by Nicholas that a technician would return the following morning with a replacement thermostat, only to have that service canceled? * Why has there been no acknowledgment by Timo's that I had to obtain a hotel room for a number of nights because my house remained unbearably hot after the temporary cooling failed? Your explanation that your employee repeatedly apologized also does not address the fact that she laughed during the conversation. Regardless of whether, as you or another manager later told me, she laughed because she was "nervous," laughing while a distressed customer is explaining that he has been left without A/C in a house exceeding 100°F is inappropriate and unprofessional customer service. I also welcome your preservation of the COMPLETE telephone recording, including the entire context of the conversation, as it will reveal your employee laughing at me over the phone while I was upset while being stranded in my very hot house with no A/C. I was upset, but I strongly dispute your false characterization of my behavior as "abusive". The recording should demonstrate not only my frustration but the circumstances causing it and my repeated attempts to get assistance after the solution your technician had just assured me would last overnight failed within minutes. Timo's was certainly entitled to decide that it no longer wished to do business with me. That is not the central issue raised by my review. The issue is what occurred BEFORE that poor business decision: your technician reassured me that I would have A/C overnight; the system stopped approximately ten minutes later after he left my residence; I immediately called Timo's for help; your employee laughed during that conversation; I was left without functioning A/C in extreme desert heat and had to obtain a hotel room for several nights; and the promised replacement service was subsequently canceled. Fortunately, Comfort Air in Thousand Palms subsequently came to my home, replaced the Lennox S40 thermostat, and restored my system to normal operation. Their staff was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and concerned about resolving the problem. I still stand by my reviews and my description of my horrible experience with Timo's Air Conditioning & Heating. Rather than continuing to falsely characterize an understandably frustrated customer as the central problem and deflecting any accountability, I would encourage Timo's to address the specific service and customer-care issues outlined above. Those issues...and how they were poorly and unprofessionally handled...are the reason I wrote my reviews. read more

Purchased a new split unit for three rooms each room has it own unit. They have not worked properly since they have been installed. The techs that come out are very nice and helpful, but they cant fix the issue. All units have leaked and the pumps unit has been replaced on all units, but the the leakage has damaged art work. Timo's has offered to pay for the repair of the art work, but will not address the larger issue of the AC units not working properly. The sales guy who sold me the units was quick to give me a quote, but has never once called about this issue. So after 4 tech visits the units are still not working and I await the next tech visit. read more

Quick and attentive service. I have a maintenance service plan with them and they found broken flex duct work in my attic (something my real estate home inspector failed to find - another reason to be sure to not hire a bozo imposter home inspector in CV). I am extremely disappointed and upset with the service I received. The technician came to look at my air conditioning unit, and I later found out that the AC coil was visibly leaking. He opened the unit, saw the problem, and still told me he could not find any issue. Instead of being honest about the actual repair needed, all he tried to do was sell me a brand new unit. As a wheelchair user, I could not see the unit myself and had to rely on his honesty, and instead he took advantage of that. A very junior technician came to my home for yearly maintenance. ( I have had a service contract with Timo for over 2 years). after the service and recommendations ($800+) on a unit that is 3.5 years old. I notice that evening water was draining into my carport. that never happened before. I called them and they sent another technician out to look. This technician had to repair the damage the other did and NOW noticed it needed another repair to replace a humidifier pad. Only an additional $200+ dollars. I called back and talked to the service manager Keith Ryan. He was defensive, rude and insulting. Apparently he could not find pictures from the first visit that supported this new charge and said "well maybe he never checked it when he was out the first time" He also never acknowledged that the first service was not only faulty it was incomplete. I asked to have my service contract cancelled and he said "sure, no problem, I am happy to do that for you" and literally said I was a terrible customer. I hope that call was recorded! I had been a loyal customer and I just paid them over $1000 the day prior. There are so many better HVAC companies to use that actually value their customers, do not try to constantly up-charge and that hire experienced and capable employees. I had the sincere pleasure of having Erick Barajas of Timos Air Conditioning and plumbing help me with a leaking water heater. Erick was extremely professional, incredibly kind, and thorough. The air conditioning unit that cools the main part of our house didn't seem to be keeping us as cool as usual. We'd had so much trouble with all four of the York units the builder had installed so before I called our regular HVAC contractor who would just replace them with the same, we did some research and came to the conclusion that new Trane systems would be an improvement in our climate. The Trane website game me a list of local authorized dealers and Timo's had the best ratings and could quickly respond. Frankie came out and did lots of sleuthing to learn where all the system components were installled. He found a dead condenser which had a bunch of melted wires inside. He gave us a quote to repair it and another to replace it with the Trane. We got weak and had him try to repair it which Frankie spent hours to complete. Luckily, the repair failed and we got our new Trane installed by Timo's and for exactly the price I had expected. Frankie is a saint - so patient to explain everything so we actually understood what was happening and why. Now we're the coolest. read more

Hired them for work at the end of the work I was told I have damaged pipes in the bathroom that they had replaced a toilet seal in. Now both toilets fill extra slow when flushed. Super shady business practices. Would not provide me with an estimated cost for a simple AC capacitor over the phone, which I assumed was the problem, which it turned out to be. The representative said the technician had to come by and do the diagnostic. Fair enough. Then without telling me the cost beforehand, he put in a new capacitor and then charged me $485, which is more than twice what others charge. I should have told the tech to pull out the capacitor and take a hike. Buyer beware. read more

Working with Timo is most everything you would hope for when you hire a trade. The salesman I'm sorry I can't remember his name! Was on time, very knowledgeable. (I'm a long time electrical contractor, so I'm quite familiar with when somebody knows what they're talking about.) I like the fact that he stressed quality materials we went with Trane , he climbed up in the attic, took a lot of photos. We went over all the equipment and conditions. The price was fair. Within a few days technicians Tom and Diego showed up, very efficient crew! Very efficient. Anyway, they cleared out the old equipment and put the new in. Everything looks great and works fabulously. Also included with a nice digital Wi-Fi T stat, that they even helped my wife figure out how to use! I live in a gated community and see their Timo trucks frequently around here. Had them come out for a specific error code on my water heater. They provided service and charged me $250 which did not resolve the problem. The next time they came out, they quoted me $800 for a service that only takes an hour and would not separate labor and equipment in the estimate. They say it's a "set cost" which is what every plumber says when they want to overcharge you. Incidentally, this new repair was also not related to the error code and would not have fixed my problem, but they insisted it had to be done first. There is a local plumber that has five stars on yelp who is one of the few that will provide you an estimate BEFORE they come to your house. This plumber came out and fixed it for $160. We've never even considered calling anyone else. Today our technician Jaime Macias serviced our heating system. Timos has a thorough multipoint checklist for annual maintenance and Jaime was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and efficient throughouy. He identified some areas we should consider addressing but there is never any pressure to do more work than necessary. I'm blown away! Kudos to Timo's! I feared my unit was broken this afternoon as it didn't turn on when I set the temp. I'm an annual maintenance member. I called Timo's at 3:55 pm to request service. The receptionist indicated that a Tech would be available between 5-7 pm. I was thrilled with that window based upon the time I initially called. Technician arrived at my condo at 4:30 pm. $650 for a garbage disposal replacement. Ridiculous! The price to purchase one is about $129 and their installation cost is $329. We opted to pay the $69 diagnostic fee and call it a day. $69 down the drain literally. Think twice before calling these guys and call around for a couple of quotes. read more

I paid Timo's $30,000 to replace two Heat Pump units. They pulled City permits and did the work. They never had the work inspected nor closed out the permits with the City. Now they have billed over $1,000 to clean up the permit mess they created by not getting inspections, claiming it was my responsibility. I thought i was paying for a complete job which included closing out permits they pulled. Any professional plumbing and heating company would do that. They have lost me as a customer. read more

Timo's is hands the best, most honorable and responsive company there is. I have never dealt with a company so wonderful. I have Timo's on two houses. They always answer and if the system needs something asap, I have had them be able to come out within 2-4 hours. In 100 degree plus heat, it is critical. Their technicians are exceptional. The super experienced ones like Romeo and Josh are on another level. Their knowledge levels and ability to diagnose a problem and the right problem the first time is WOW. Romeo is so kind, decent, competent and brilliant. I have learned so much from him. I can only hope Romeo gets assigned to my houses whenever I need anything.
