3 wires and tape to measure the size.
Leigh M.

Every time they come out for my service, they prescribe an expensive fix. The most recent was a quote for $318. I purchased the part from Ferguson for $14.91. A bracket for $15. With a pair of pliers, a screw driver and nut driver for tools, it took me (a very unskilled home owner), 20 minutes to open up the panel, photograph the part. Another 30 minutes to turn off the electric, remove three wires. Screw in a few screws. Assuming a technician could do it faster $288 for 30 minutes of labor. Look at You Tube, it's listed as a top AC scam.

Very clean looking installation

We had a very good experience with Paul Mitchell's Air Care. They installed a much needed 2 Ton Mini Split in our south facing garage. Kevin and Jr did a very clean looking job. From beginning to end...communication and appointments... to the installation went very smoothly. They are very punctual. Thank you. 3/2025

Advanced Installations - Garage Roof Insulation

They first went through and reset all the batting that had been left askew by the flipper who had replaced some lights in the ceiling. I then had them supplement the cold air return plenums with R-38 batting and then add batting to the larger diameter ducts before blowing in enough loose insulation to completely cover the smaller ducts. They added stainless steel sheets around the older can lights to baffle them from the blown insulation. A quality job for a reasonable price. Anyone getting quotes from an HVAC company should get a comparable quote from Jake to save some significant money.

I get a south and west facing sun. My unit is 50 years old and the wall between the back room and the garage is not insulated so the backroom gets warmer than the rest of the house. I contacted Advanced Installations in Indio, CA and they came out and did a great job. From what I can gather the garage temp is 5 to 10 degrees cooler. I will continue to monitor the temperature but I am very pleased with how the insulation was finished off. I had the R38 insulation with the fire retardant liner installed. The guys that worked on this are excellent....professional, hard working and know what they are doing. Advanced Installation made it a great experience!

My husband did the searching for a remedy for us in this unusual CA heat in the summer of 2026 where days INSIDE our 76-year-old home would be 88 degrees. It was just unbearable. Installation was great, very professional, moved swiftly, and got the job done. What they didn't tell my husband at their headquarters or whoever the salesperson was is that you can only use this at night as the attic fans pull the cooler air at night in and dispel the hot air from the days. This part is very disappointing in the sense that during the day it's been hot as hell. We sooooo need this during the day. So we probably should have gotten a mini-split, which we may get anyhow for next summer as we don't think we can go another summer like this. So we've had to continue to use our portable AC, all of the various fans we have, ceiling and floor, during the days and then open windows when and if it cools down at, say, 9 PM until bedtime. And in today's age, probably more females than males, but who wants to leave windows open all over your house while sleeping. No way Jose am I going to open numerous windows at night. Just doesn't feel safe. So the times we do run it all night, which they told us to do and crack the windows about 3 inches, we just do this in our bedroom where we are sleeping so that in case there were any shenanigans by any intruders trying to break in, we would hear them. They should inform you of this part. Not particularly fair to not give those details so we can make an informed decision. Money, money, money. One last thing is that we read that people would feel a 10-degree difference, and I think someone said 15 degrees. There is nooooo way in our circumstances that it's been more than maybe 3 to 5 degrees. If we run it at night just in our bedroom, we notice it holds the cooler temp at about 80 until afternoon when it heats up again, and we are back up to 85 degrees.
