Wish I could rate at six stars ! When one of my AC units stopped Cooling, Brian analyzed the situation and gave me a very reasonable quote on attempting a repair. We also looked at the pros and cons and costs of replacing in detail, including permits, inspection, HERS test which allowed him to come to a solid cost estimate. He was also able to discuss the new California coolant vs. the present one in technical detail. We booked a replacement. Absolute guided us on the HOA application and provided all the information they required, set up the city permitting, and completed the job on-time. They were VERY fastidious, and left the garage and roof cleaner than they found it. The whole team was curteous and competent. The workmanship on the roof (Yes, I looked !) was first-rate, as if I had done it myself. And, the new unit runs with less electricity, is incredibly quiet, and cools the home faster and more evenly. Last Friday, when the heat wave was just beginning, we realized our air conditioner was working hard and yet hardly working. I spent a lot of money to have this system installed a year ago. The installation team did a remarkable job and the system works well! Today, my system had its annual check-up and everything was good. Ryan, the Absolute Service Technician was very courteous and thoughtful. He did recommend I have a surge protection device installed on the system to protect against any power surge activities. I appreciated his advice but couldn't understand why that device wasn't part of the initial installation. When one spends $19,165 dollars for a new air conditioning system one would think it would come with such a thing to protect the motherboard. Ryan, prepared an estimate which was over $1000 to put that protector onto the existing system. I would really like to have this on my system, but don't feel like I can spend one more dime on it as I paid a premium price in the first place for it. I didn't know I should have asked for it in the beginning. As I stated earlier, I am a very happy customer and I would be even a happier customer if Absolutely Air came with the Surge Protector the next time they are here for routine maintenance and included it as an act of good will since it should have been installed in the first place. If you are in the market for a new Air Conditioning system, you can certainly count on them to do a clean and neat installation with service technicians who are gracious and know what they are doing. Our existing 5yr old A/C crapped out in the middle of a 100deg weekend with renters in our condo - of course. We called others who tried to fix it before and they still wanted to charge us an f'ing fortune to further figure out what was wrong. Our Realtor said to "call Absolute". We had to wait a week for service appt becuase of the packed schedule, but once the Absolute guys got to our townhouse they showed up with proper leak detectors and determined the problem almost immediately and phoned us what needed to be done. Even sent us detailed photos that evening from the earlier service call showing the problem. Couldnt understand why the other service company didnt see the glaring problem. Didnt matter, thank god Absolute knew what they were doing and figured it out. We begged for fast turn around for our renters and the owner of Absolute juggled other projects to get us a new 4 ton compressor installed the next morning, even offered us financing options. Since we used them for the new install they even waived the initial service call and disgnosis fee - very generous and super professional. I can't tell you how great it was to work with Brian and his crew on replacing our old HVAC units! They were on time, worked fast and efficiently and were genuinely nice people. Brian obviously takes pride in doing a good job and even making the installation of a furnace and AC unit as esthetically pleasing as possible. He took the time to do the "finishing details" after the install including installing our new Nest thermostat, setting it up (which added an extended warranty because it was done by a pro!), and cleaning up the mess afterwards. Everyone from Absolute were first class. I initially got in contact with them through Yelp and they were able to set me an appointment right away. It started with great communication with the office to schedule and Brian came out to diagnose the problem. They used thermal imaging cameras to see what kind of air was coming out. The problem ended up being the fan motor, but he didn't have that exact one on the truck, so they sent another tech to finish up a couple hours later.
