"Look for a Diamond Head Vacations representative, wearing a blue and white aloha shirt either at the gate or baggage claim" It is very very difficult to find the right person wearing a blue and white aloha shirt in Hawaii. No one to greet me at the gate so I had to carry my carry on to baggage claim which is a very long way at the Honolulu airport. Finally found my greeter who knew nothing about my reservation. She passed me off to someone in an orange aloha shirt who dragged me outside after she stopped twice to talk to people and left me out in the heat while she tried to find a shuttle. It is a miracle I did not pass out from heat stroke. I expect to be met at the gate and my luggage carried by them, escorted to the shuttle that is waiting at the curb with the air conditioning on high. Next time I'll just get a taxi. I know where to find them and they won't lose my reservation. read more

Picked up at terminal 1 station and things went smooth. Then we sat for over 30 minutes at the terminal 2 station while we sat and waited and sat and waited for more passengers. The station booked more passengers on the shuttle than there were seats! Twice groups had to be reassigned and we still sat and waited on them to fill it up. Not a great taste to the start of a leisurely week in paradise. Driver was friendly, but staffing crew needs to step up, or I'd suggest you look elsewhere! read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible! All the negative reviews posted here are spot-on. We waited over an hour for a shuttle that was supposed to be there right when we landed. We watched people come and go and come and go, while we continued waiting. And when we dared ask one of the many employees just standing around, we got brushed off with rude and short answers. When we called to talk to a manager, they said they wouldn't do anything for us. Then when we finally got a shuttle and the driver dropped us off, he disparaged our hotel. THEN, when we got picked up a week later, the driver told us to wait to get on because he was waiting on another family. Then all of a sudden, we realize the other family has boarded FIRST and left us with NO SEATS for my 4-year-old daughter, who had to ride on my on my lap, and neither of us could buckle up. Making matters worse, both drivers were terrible drivers. Very unsafe. When we called to complain a second time, they had no record of our first complaint and put us on hold for so long, we finally hung up, which probably was their goal. Use a taxi or Uber or Lyft instead, even if it ends up costing you more. Better that you save all that time and stress and hassle and potentially your life (I'm not being overdramatic here; the driving truly was terrible) than save a few dollars. Scheduled late pm trip to airport with specific off-Kapiolani Blvd pickup location information (confirmed by supervisor as very clear for the driver). Called shuttle 1/2 hr before pickup, advised no problems, no delays anticipated; called 15 minutes after scheduled time, advised driver slightly behind but near by; called 30 minutes after scheduled time, advised driver drove past my location and failed to stop, they said they would refund my credit card. It took the dispatcher 7 minutes each time to confirm the driver's position. They could not call me to advise the shuttle was lost or had missed me. Said they would 'write up' the driver for the missed pickup----big deal, didn't help me. I had to make other arrangements to make my flight . 1st and last time using SpeediShuttle. read more

OMG! Nothing could be worse then this company. It took over three hours to get from the airport to my hotel, 11.9 miles away. Shuttles were poorly timed and then the drop offs were done by memory...and forgotten. I made the mistake of paying for a round trip. The shuttles that came to the hotel three days later to take me back to the airport could not take me (maybe because they already had my money??) for one reason or another. I was a little apprehensive about using the service because of the negative reviews. However, I am pleased to report I did not have any trouble with their service. I booked a roundtrip ticket . The return service was excellent. My driver was on time and got me to the airport in plenty of time. He was at the hotel for 3:40am, to get me to the airport by 415 am. Awful. Used them last year due to the fact that there wasn't much else visibly on offer. Booked the return, the return was an hour late, and when it finally turned up, the driver was the rudest man alive on the island. The driver claimed that none of the delay was his fault given that there was traffic. This, is unacceptable - if I offer to pick someone up or take someone to the airport, I can anticipate when I have to leave to be there on time, and it's not something I do for a living. I sent an e-mail to Speedishuttle when I got home, specifically asking for a reply. Almost one year on, I have yet to receive a reply! Anyway, this time, at the airport, given the paucity of choice (and given the reviews of Speedi, surely someone with half a brain and a couple of vans could come in and sweep them away - where is the competition?!), we did the same thing, assuming that lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice. Well, now we know it does. We sat waiting from 7, for a shuttle at 8:15. It never came. When I finally called Speedishuttle, I was put on hold for so long, that the loop of "we're here to ensure that everything is wonderful, groovy and whatever" ran 4 or 5 times and then stopped, leaving me with the sounds of static to listen to. When the hotel receptionist rang, he, too, was put on hold (but not for such a prolonged period), at which point they informed him that the driver had been, but hadn't found anyone, so had left. A blind-drunk, blind man would have been able to locate us, given that the hotel wasn't the size of Jupiter and there was just me and my wife sitting by a pile of bags. To have the audacity to say that someone came to pick us up (which I sincerely doubt), and then to compound that with the stupidity of a driver who, unable to see the obvious, gives up, and leaves (on what basis are the drivers paid? Surely, clients picked-up and/or delivered, no?!), strikes me as nothing short of stunning. If this is at all indicative of Speedishuttle's business acumen, it's a miracle that they ever managed to get off the ground, let alone continue to exist. We asked Speedishuttle what we should do, and were told that the driver was en route, to be expected in 5 minutes. After 25 minutes, we bottled it, and called a cab which set us back $28. The hotel said that we should get the money back from Speedishuttle. I am somewhat sceptical about our chances. read more

Just my experience but I do this every week so I know the difference in service. Had to wait 1:45 at the airport for a shuttle. Another couple there had been there 2 hours already when we showed up. Once we got on the shuttle it was another 1:30 minutes to our hotel on Waikiki. We flew all the way from Maine so we were anxious to get started on our vacation. From what happened to us, we would of been better off taking a cab. If you're just going to Waikiki, that is my recommendation, the little extra you spend is worth the time you waste. Probably a good deal if you're going to the other side of the island. If it worked good for you, great, didn't for us. read more

we waited almost an hour for the shuttle to arrive, with no where to sit . Then they took us all over terrible parts of town for another 30 minutes to our hotel. Driver was not very nice either. There was condensation dropping from the air conditioning unit onto our heads. Then they promised to pick us up at the pier after our cruise but when we got their they didn't have us on their list so we ended up taking a taxis . Don't let them take you anywhere and be aware! I made my reservations two days in advance. Yet, it took over an hour after walking to curbside at the airport for us to catch a shuttle to ewa beach. And, we were put on a shuttle headed for aulani resort. Those poor tourists had to take a side trip to ewa beach so I could get dropped off! Would advise not to use speedi to get to the airport. We were supposed to be picked up at our hotel by 6:30. At 7:10 our driver still was not there and we kept being told he would be there in 10 minutes. They left 7 of us stranded there and we all ended up having to take a cab to the airport in order to not miss our flight. I sent a couple to the airport using Speedi shuttle this is the text that was sent to after got to the airport. I sent this text to speedi shuttle for a response and have never heard from them Just letting you know that we made it to the airport, however there was some confusion. We were at the Aloha Landing at 7:45. A speedi shuttle arrived at 7:58 and we approached. The driver asked which airline and we replied air canada. We got on board and he continued to 2 other stops. When he arrived to the last stop he didn't have enough seats, so he called his dispatch. He then singled us out and asked us to speak with his dispatch over the phone...all the while other passengers complaining they needed to get to the airport. I refused to speak to his dispatch and showed him the confirmation from you. After another 5 minutes on the line he finally started driving to the airport. Didn't feel good to be singled out in front of the group as if we were somehow responsible.No sorry, I didn't grab them...just content to get off at our terminal. The other passengers were saying he was supposed to pick them up at 7pm...and that he was 45 min late, so I guess it is possible we were on the wrong shuttle, but as he was the only speedi shuttle there at 7:58 we assumed. He didn't ask our names, only which terminal. It was only once he ran out of seats he asked our names. read more

15FEB2016 approx. 3:30 P.M. at the Hale Koa Hotel in the drop-off area a SpeediShuttle Van HI Reg. LCJ 952 pulled up there was parking along the curb, BUT the driver decided to park her van in the middle of the road. She got out let passengers out and proceeded to take suit cases out of the rear of the van. Meanwhile traffic was backing up and cars that were legally parked could not get out. In talking to a driver of a transport bus I understand that this is common practice for SpeediShuttle. It is too bad that management of SpeediShuttle allows there employees to act this way it is not good for their business. There are a lot of customers that saw this and I for one would NEVER use a company that has such disrespect for people. read more

It took 1 hour and 30 minutes from check in to the time I arrived at my hotel, Ramada Plaza Waikiki hotel is across the street of Hilton Hawaiian Village. First stop at Hilton Hawaiian Village from the airport, OK. The next stop, not my hotel but keep going to the other Waikiki hotels before come back to my hotel. I asked the driver why Ramada Plaza wasn't the next stop, his answer was the company told him to do this route. I have been taken this shuttle from and to airport, never happen before. If this routing stop has been changed, I will not take this shuttle from the airport to Waikiki. Wasting my time going around and around the Waikiki even I live in the beginning of Waikiki. read more

Some good, but mostly bad. First of all Roberts was the previous provider for such service, and a round trip ticket to Waikiki from the airport was $15. Speedi is close to $28. Nothing like an 80+% increase in price. Tired from a long flight from Japan I went ahead. Girl issuing tickets was, at best, curt and clearly didn't listen well. When we were taken to the wrong hotel, I knew we were in for more poor service. While the vans are clean, and the drivers are nice, all is not well in SpeediLand. At the drop off, the driver clearly was courteous to the point that a "tip" was his goal. When I told him he had dropped us at the wrong hotel (2 blocks away), and since he had already unloaded our luggage, as well as the fact that reloading and making a long U-turn to get us to where we needed to go, he clearly was pissed that no tip was forthcoming. Incidentally, I am offended by signs posted in vehicles that say "fare doesn't include tip." If I feel a tip is warranted, I don't need to make a 30 minute ride staring at such signs to know that tips are expected. Honestly, I find this a good reason not to tip. The whole tipping culture in the USA is scandalous. Okay, so we try to call to reconfirm our return trip, but the only number on the ticket is a LONG DISTANCE NUMBER - very tacky. We figure since Speedi is relatively new to Honolulu, that they should be working hard to keep the business, especially since they charge almost double of Roberts. Our pick-up time come and goes, no pick up. Two other Speedi vans show up, one headed to the airport and having seats for us, but they won't let us on. The hotel has the Speedi local number, so they call for us. Twenty minutes late the driver shows and tells me he was sent to the wrong hotel. I CLEARLY indicated the correct hotel name when originally buying the ticket, and when speaking to Speedi on the phone the day of departure, when I called since they were late for pick up. Young man on the phone repeatedly gave me the wrong hotel name over the phone, in spite of my repeating it to him. Now, they did show up, in a nice clean vehicle, and the driver was courteous, but should we pay a tip when they are late and repeatedly inept. I felt bad for the driver so I gave a token tip, but seriously, isn't tipping expected because of overall exceptional service? Not in the USA, it seems. It appears to be a mandate. The driver was not happy and didn't say "thank you." He was clearly perturbed that my $2 didn't cover it. I had a $5 bill, but no way. Call me cheap, doesn't bother me, but you are wrong, and Speedi isn't worth the 80% increase over Roberts. I'd rather had the moronic Roberts drivers/guides back. read more

There call center takes forever to answer call and then their dispatch comes up with the lames excuses. Traffic, the shuttle broke down c'mon heard it all. That's why you plan an hour or mins before a pick up, flashback Hawaii has the worst traffic in the states and these are brand new shuttles, at least that's what they told me. I really hope Roberts Hawaii gets the contract back, yeah they where late at times but their customer serves and handling the situations where better. At the airport I asked one of the host how long more and it went from 5 min to 5 more min. Dammit just tell us the truth. Then there so called manager with a stupid look on his face not to mention the ridiculous mustache that went with it, "oh sorry for the delay 5 more min the driver is dropping off upstairs. Yeah so professional. Shuttle finally came. The Driver apologies for the delay and said he jus came form Waikiki, and I'm like well your manager told us 5 more min ten times that you where up stairs? The driver jus shook his head and kept apologizing I told him don't worry its not your fault your mangers and co-workers don't have customer service, he's like you got that right. My return trip to the airport, just unbelievable, shuttle shows up 20 min after my scheduled p/up time but guess what wasn't for me. Driver said nicely that he was picking up his managers, but he was nice enough to call his dispatch where the shuttle was or if he could take me too but was told no and it was another 10 min. Well I couldn't believe what I witness next. Drunk managers walking to the shuttle and one of them looked at me and said your shuttles coming sir with his breath stink of alcohol. Got my things called Roberts for a p/up they said they were in the are and showed up before speedi and get this they ask what happen and I didn't get charged from Roberts for speed i's fuck up sorry for the language. That's what you call aloha spirit. I don't think the owner and his speedi workers know what that means, hell I'm not sure in they know what ohana means. Lesson learned speedi sucks and Roberts hurry up and get the contract back. read more

DO NOT USE SpeediShuttle! Because of their sloppy and questionable business practices, everyone on my shuttle nearly missed their international flight departures. I booked an airport pickup as well as a shuttle from Waikiki back to the airport for my return trip. The pickup went fine; not the quickest option for airport pickup, but the price is right for budget travelers. The hotel pickup for my trip back to the airport, however, was a total disaster. I had booked a 7:45AM pickup (paid in advance), but the shuttle still hadn't arrived at 7:55. I called SpeediShuttle and was informed by the telephone rep that my pickup time had been changed to 8:00. The rep also said they had left a message about it with my hotel. I asked why they hadn't called my cell phone and left a message, since they take your cell phone number when you book a pickup, but the agent didn't have an answer. The rep said she would have a manager call me (I never heard back from anyone). The hotel told me that there had been no messages for me whatsoever. When the shuttle finally showed up (at 8:06), it was very obvious that the driver did not have the correct pickup schedule. All of the other passengers on the shuttle said they had had the same experience as me: they had gotten picked up at times different than those they had scheduled, booked, and prepaid, and none of them had been notified in advance by SpeediShuttle. The driver of our shuttle then went back to two other stops she had already passed, because the couples scheduled for pickup hadn't been there (which was probably because they also hadn't been notified of their new pickup times). The driver actually left the shuttle and went into both establishments, disappearing for several minutes both times. All of us on the shuttle had international flights to make, and we were all starting to get very nervous and unhappy. In other words, for whatever reason, it seemed that SpeediShuttle ARBITRARILY CHANGED ALL OUR PICKUP TIMES WITH NO ADVANCE NOTIFICATION, and then lied about leaving messages for all of us. In the end, despite booking a shuttle that would have gotten me to the airport nearly 3 hours before my flight departure, I ended up getting there just over an hour before my departure. By the time I got through security and to my gate, my flight was already boarding. No time to grab breakfast or take care of any other pre-flight tasks that I had set aside time for (time which was then taken away by SpeediShuttle). I saw one of the couples from the shuttle on my flight, and they said they had just barely made it on the plane. They too had had things to take care of before the flight (in their case, picking up luggage that they'd had sent ahead to the airport from their hotel), and SpeediShuttle's ineptitude had nearly forced them to miss the flight altogether. The told me the thought they were going to be "stuck on that bus forever". I don't know if the other two couples from our shuttle made their flights or not. It might seem petty to complain so much about a service that only costs $14; however if I had missed my international flight or any connecting flight after it, I doubt that SpeediShuttle would have covered my costs for rescheduling new flights. The SpeediShuttle company is DISORGANIZED and DISHONEST. Even though a taxi to Waikiki costs nearly 3 times as much as SpeediShuttle, you are infinitely better off to go with the taxi--especially if you need to be on time. read more

This is a terrible (lack of) service. We arrived, were rather rudely told to "wait over there until you are called". We did so, and after 25 minute wait, and getting close to missing our ferry connection, I went back to desk and asked when we would be leaving. Told "20 minutes" .. I asked "from now or from our reservation time". I pointed out our reservation time was almost half an hour ago. At that point they said "we told you and refused to answer any questions, including what their name was or the name of the manager". The driver tried to make up the time, and we got to the ferry as they were preparing for departure. Kudos to the driver. Four sullen workers hanging around being rude to customers at the airport. That has cost them the return ride PLUS the twenty plus round trip rides when I return with my company leadership in January. if this is your only option, I suggest walking. Well where do I start. Had a prepaid return shuttle booked , flew in from San Francisco and were greeted by a representative from Speedi then waited for nearly an hour for a van to arrive. We made it to the hotel ok . Rang the day before the return pick up and they said they would pick us up at 7pm. We collected our luggage at 6.45 and waited until 7.45 when after 2 phone calls with no response we caught a taxi at a cost of 40 dollars but were happy to know we made it to the airport on time. Our daughter had a shuttle booked that morning and they were 35 min late after 2 phone unhelpful phone calls. Going back in January and will not use them again read more

Hyatt belldesk were helpful and phoned twice, answer was "It's on its way" but no arrival time given. We got concerned about our flight time and took a taxi. Have emailed SpeediShuttle requesting a refund, with no response. Would never use them again, and would advise others not to. read more

I booked with speedi shuttle on line very easy. Had a medical emergency I had to cancel my entire trip. I stated the process of canceling airlines, condo, island trip, ect. I called speedi shuttle and canceled our airport pick up. Very easy took my information and said it was no problem do to canceling two weeks early. The lady on the phone said I would receive my refund on my credit card. October statement shocker no credit. Called lady said we're processing credits this week. November statement no credit. Called lady said I'll give this to the manager you'll have your credit. You guessed it December no CREDIT. I called not very happy this time I was told I never called to cancel my pick up and that their driver was there waiting for us. This is a lie now I have to fight with these people to get $53 dollars. I feel this is a scam that they do to people. read more

We had a return transfer from Waikiki which was suggested by Speedi Shuttle for 8.45am. We rang the day before to confirm and they suggested that we bring it forward to 8.am. No problem for us with the change of time. We waited outside the Moana Surfrider for the pick up as suggested from 7.45 - 8.15. THEY DIDN'T TURN UP!! A shuttle even drove past us and kept going. To make our flight, we were forced to take take a taxi at much greater cost. Be very careful with this shuttle company. Never again will we use them read more

They picked us up 35 minutes after the scheduled pick up time from the hotel. The first shuttle that came to the hotel picked up a couple other passengers. The driver rudely just said there's another shuttle coming for me, got in the van and drove off. He completely ignored me when I asked when the next shuttle is coming. I have already paid and have two seats reserved for 35 minutes ago, what do you mean you don't have room for me on this shuttle?!?! Another shuttle came later, and the driver drove like a complete maniac. I definitely wouldn't use these guys again, ever. If you have enough money to travel to Hawaii, you can afford better transportation than these guys. read more

Two bad experiences: one from the airport into Waikiki and the other on my return trip: The driver was pretty rude which is never a good thing. I was listening to music and expected him to drop me off at my destination when we arrived (it is, after all, a shuttle). He just drove right by my hostel and later on when I asked him about it he told me that they expected me to tell him to stop when we drove by (even though I don't know the city at all). Then he had the balls to ask me for a tip once he drove back to the hostel (and was rude in the way he said things). On my return trip the driver was friendly, but the dispatcher was very unorganized and it took us 45 minutes to leave our original location! I nearly missed my flight because they couldn't get it together. There were four of us who booked the shuttle and he only took two of us at first. Then after 10 minutes of driving he got a call and turned around and went back to pick up the other two. Then another 20 minutes of him walking around outside the van talking to dispatch. I would give one star, but I feel like it could've been worse if the driver was unsafe so I reserve one star for the utmost extreme disaster situations. You're honestly better off taking a cab or going with a different company. read more

Hi my name is KEMO, and my experience with Speedi Shuttle wasn't that great, hardly no one was around I only saw one guy do his job that Greeter was awesome. When I approached the office at baggage claim f 2 the door was always closed, it sounded like there was a party going on inside. I could hear foul language and music blasting. I saw boyfriends and girlfriends holding hands and making out. What a shame for this Shuttle service, I think they need to learn proper people skills and they need to learn on how to treat people with respect. I give Speedi Shuttle 0 stars you guys SUCK big time and thank you to V.I.P for all your help. I got great service, people treated me with respect, and I did not hear any foul languages. read more

On their website, it states "Our Reservation Specialists are warm, friendly and knowledgeable and are available 24-hours a day." I can personally tell you right now, that is a big fat lie. I have been using this company for a while (over 6 months) and always gave them a recommendation as they have so far (until today) been reliable, despite their less than satisfactory service. Their call center representatives are very rude, lack professionalism and have no aloha spirit what so ever. The last two days, I have tried to call them and waited on hold to speak with someone, yesterday for over 20 minutes, and today about 15 mins. Today (at aprox 9am) when finally getting through today and speaking with someone, I mentioned that I had been waiting for 15 mins, she immediately ranted back at me stating that I should place her on mute before I say something "rude" about her/the company and that she along with one other person were the only people working. 1) It is not the customer's fault nor problem how short handed you are, it is not an excuse to talk to the customer like that. 2) IT IS A FACT that I had been waiting over 15 mins for a simple inquiry 3) You're lack of professionalism appalls me, you should not be working in a customer service position if you do not like to interact with people (or maybe don't know how to in this case) 4) When you take someone's money and promise to pick them up so they can make their flight in time, you need to follow through. Your unreliable service just lost you a very valuable customer. 5) When I ask you your name, so I can be sure to follow up/ask to speak with your supervisor, you have the audacity to ask me for mine instead?! Have you completely lost your mind? In the end I can say this: I will NEVER recommend this company to any one ever again and will not use them for myself or my clients. I hope that you seriously makeover your staff and/or give them a class in customer service, they are in dire need of it to be sure. This review is for Speedi Shuttle in Kauai (same company but different island). THEY ARE CROOKS. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. I work in PR for a fashion company and know that service is everything. When I arrived in Kauai, the driver didn't even come meet us near baggage claim and forgot to bring the lei's that we ordered and paid an additional $50 for. When I was leaving Kauai, I booked a private car thru speedi shurttle that was supposed to pick me up at 8am. It was 815am and no one had arrived. I tried calling the service and the phone line kept signaling a busy signal. I had to call a cab last minute and sent Speedi Shuttle an email complaining. When I asked for a refund, they said that they made a good faith effort to pick me up on my departure and wouldn't be able to give me a refund. I brought up that their phone lines were down and that I would have no problem taking this to the better business bureau and they offered me a 50% refund because according to their tracking, their driver was in the area at 8:08am. I was staying at a house that had a drive way, I am not an idiot and did not miss seeing a car there. It's not even the about the refund at this point but about the principle. I was treated rudely by the guy at her front desk at the airport in Honolulu, he acted clueless about my booking which i had a confirmation number for and after i insisted that i was booked he ordered me to stand over there! and basically ignored me, I had to ask a driver what was going on. But it got worse, the driver seemed totally confused as to where he was going and it took forever for him to finally drop me off (i was last on the bus) he seemed to be going around in circles and it turned out he dropped me off at the wrong location even though i gave them the hotels street address and name of hotel. I was dropped off about a mile away and had to walk with my suitcases in the hot sun after 14hours of travel. I wonder if they should be using a GPS and learn some customer service skills. On returning to airport to go home i booked a taxi and it was only $30 which worked out great. My advice is get a taxi, its cheaper if theres more than one person traveling. read more

My mother, 2 children and myself took Speedi Shuttle from the Honolulu Airport. While in transit, we heard a loud crash in the back of the van. When we arrived at our hotel, one wheel on my suitcase and one wheel on my mothers suitcase were broken. The bags were perfectly fine prior to loading into the shuttle as we wheeled them through the airport without issue. I contacted Speedi Shuttle within minutes. They had no manager on duty and was to to call back the next day. I called back, there was no answer. I visited Speedi Shuttle in the airport on my return flight and spoke with a manager. She told me that she would forward the information and call back. The information was never forwarded and I never received a call back. I called back and spoke with another manager, who also said they would forward the information. I forwarded photos as well. I received an email today stating they are not responsible and are unwilling to pay for damages. I was traveling with 2 children and an elderly mother. I had 2 - 50 lb bags with broken wheels for the entire trip. I was hardly able to transport my luggage to and from my flights and hotels along with caring for 2 children and an elderly mother. Wow...on my previous review of Speedi Shuttle I complimented the driving staff on their friendliness and Aloha spirit. Well, like the saying goes "there's always one bad apple (pineapple) in the bunch". On my return trip on 12/26/13, from my hotel in Waikiki to HNL, the shuttle was right on time...kudos..! However, from the moment we saw the driver we knew it was not going to be the normal happy drive to the airport. The driver who's named is "Ken" (haole boy), yeah I'm calling him out. He never smiled, never said hello...no good morning... not even a token Aloha. It was obvious this guy hated his job....(then quit..!). What pissed me off the most was on one of our pick ups the other passenger was a non-english speaking person. The asshole Ken asked her to fasten her seat belt, since she couldn't speak english he thought if he spoke louder and meaner to her she'd understand.....what an ass. We hand motioned to her what he was asking her to do. Normally the drivers talk joke around ask passengers how was their vacation was....not a word out of this driver. In short, though Speedi Shuttle is the largest shuttle service on all Hawaiian Islands, I will look to take my business somewhere else. I don't want to bad mouth or short change the employees of Speedi Shuttle that I've encounter who have fully shown the aloha spirit....mahalo...! DO NOT USE! If I could give NO STARS I would. This is the WORSE SHUTTLE SERVICE I have ever used. They confirmed the day before for a 12 noon pick up. I am traveling with a disabled person (which they knew) and a 14 month old baby. After 3 phone calls to the company and going on over 30 minutes late for our pick up to the airport. We had not option to get a taxi. We were told "we do not know where the driver is? Oh he must be stuck in traffic?" Excuse after excuse. Horrible. We were told by the hotel the company has GPS in all vans. So they know exactly where all of their van are at all times. THEY LIED! They were told where we were waiting in the hotel lobby. THEY NEVER CALLED TO ADVISE US OF BEING LATE. We had to allow extra time at the airport due to the baby and the disabled person. The last straw was when we were waiting after 30 minutes, "you can cancel your ride" We said NO we need to get to the airport as prepaid and confirmed. The hotel was great. They were great and got us a taxi and said we were not the only people having trouble with this company. They also did not want to reimburse us for our trip or the taxi expense due to their GROSS ERROR.! DO NOT USE COMPANY FOR YOUR TRIP. What a way to end a trip to Hawaii.They should have done the right thing and reimbursed us for our whole expenses plus the taxi fare of $42.00 due to their negligence. UNDEPENDABLE and Horrible customer service resulting to Lying to customers! SHAME ON YOU! If anyone has Angie's list please let them know not to use this company. I will also file a complaint with the better business company. Probably, the cheapest alternative to get to your Waikiki hotel from the airport. Only, the city bus is a lot cheaper. But, it takes 1 to 2 hours. If you did not make a reservation, then an agent meets you at the baggage claim. The price they quote you is for a round-trip. One is usually given a one hour window, but I hung out at the bus stop and got a shuttle within 15 minutes. The driver picks up your bag and places in the back area. The van was a comfortable Mercedes Van. A quick narration is given by the driver on the way to Waikiki. It took 20 minutes without traffic to get to Waikiki as I arrived on a weekend. If you are lucky your hotel could be at the front end of Waikiki closest to the airport and you could be dropped early. On the return, I would take that extra 15 minutes to pick up passengers all the way to the end of Waikiki beach. The service was good, the drivers pretty friendly. I realized foreign tourists did not tip the driver, but I did as I live in this country and the driver hand delivered my luggage. The drivers wear colorful Hawaiian shirts with a lei. On the return leg, a 15 minute is given to pick one up as the driver makes stops at various hotels along the way. As is my habit, I got nervous and called the office and was assured the driver was on the way. For me, the return pickup is the most nerve racking even if I had a dedicated car waiting to drop me. I can't give any rating because we didn't receive the service. On July 23, the experience we had with 3 representatives of speedi shuttle at the Honolulu airport was unresponsive, confusing, and rude. I pre-paid on line and after we arrived at 11:30 am, we looked for anyone with a speedi shuttle badge but couldn't find them because they didn't have signs or information telling us they were speedi shuttle employees. It took us 15 minutes to figure this out. Then after asking the first representative where we were to wait, they said that they didn't have us on their list but maybe the other representative did. And I need to say that this person treated us with very little interest. It didn't seem like the person knew there were in the tourist service industry at all. So they pointed us to the 2nd person and he sounded beyond clueless and after asking us what we wanted with him (yes, he actually asked us that), he pointed us to talk with a 3rd person who reacted as if we were annoying him. After 15 minutes of watching this 3rd representative run around and tell people all sorts of inconsistent things, I asked again if we were in the right spot---where do we need to go so we can make this work? He then pointed us to someone "who would know what to do". This person turned out to be the 1st person we started with. After about 10 minutes with this person, I asked again and we were now told that we had missed our shuttle and they couldn't tell us when we could get another. This happened while we were waiting 3 feet from them!!! The person then said they found us on their list but that we had made a mistake: we had not found the person waiting for us at baggage claim. I told the person that we didn't use baggage claim since we carried our bags directly off the plane. I never received instructions telling me to meet anyone at baggage claim. An important detail to let future riders know about. At that point, I gave up hope that we'd get on any of their shuttles because shuttles continued to pull up to the waiting area but we were repeatedly told that we had to wait until there was room. How long would that be? They wouldn't even give me a range. So I asked for at least a reaction to the following: 20 minutes? 1 hour? later tonight? No reaction. So I had my family continue to wait in case we actually got on a shuttle while I went looking for a taxi. Within a minute of looking for a taxi, I arranged for the driver to do what speedi shuttle had already been paid to do. I am trying to get a refund. We'll see. This company needs to reconsider the first part of its name and just focus on providing the shuttle service in the first place. Do not use this service. read more
