Terrible customer service, not sure if the Jimmy was having a bad day, but instead of helping me resolve my issue he said what I was trying to do was not possible and ultimately gave me two options and in result gave me more equipment to take home, equipment I did not need. Once I got home, I was able to speak to a spectrum rep who resolved my issues and apologized for the store rep. I have now returned all the equipment and am streaming my cable service on my Roku! read more

The only thing worse than their internet service is their customer no-service! When you're ready to cancel, don't call them and wait on hold for an hour to have them argue with you or wait in line at the store! Here's what you do: Go to the UPS Store and return their equipment. You don't need a box or even an account number, but make SURE you keep your receipts and take a few photos for good measure. Then change your credit card number on your account, use a gift card, or privacy.com disposable card number. Anything so they can't keep charging you. You're done! They can't charge you anymore, and it might take them a couple months to figure out you canceled, but that's their problem, right? read more

They are just terrible. Company policies are incredibly consumer unfriendly. They 'leave it to the tech' to decide if they bill you $50 for a visit to get your service working, even in the first month. Our internet was at 40 of a promised 400 from day one, it was just a few days after starting service, the supervisor said they wouldn't bill me for it if it truly wasn't working, it's still at just 80 after the techs visit, and yet they billed me $50! Expect to spend an hour or more and many levels of supervisors / departments to get it resolved, I am heading into my second hour on the phone now over this issue. I had even called just to disconnect originally and THEY OFFERED the tech visit to get it working. Awful, awful, usurious company. Individuals are usually nice, but the company policies are fundamentally abusive. It seems clear they tell the techs to bill most or all visits. read more

I needed to return a piece of equipment. Upon entering I noticed all of the nice big instructions regarding social distancing and the available hand sanitizer. The center was clean and clutter free. The staff was understanding and fast. All in all a pleasant quick trip that went much smoother than I anticipated. read more

My complaint is not for this particular spectrum store but to spectrum services in general. Spectrum has frequent outages with their roku streaming app. This last for a few hours and without doing anything it comes back on. When calling to report it, spectrum denies the outage and wants you to reset your modem, disconnect and reconnect the app. We've done this in the past w/o calling and it usually doesn't work so we lost faith in trying to troubleshoot it. It doesn't make sense for us to reset our internet modem if we have no issues with our internet connection instead its their streaming app services. We know its the streaming app because when logging in to different devices it doesn't work and says unable to connect to server right now. I live in a neighborhood where they claim is far away from cell towers. Today i called to report the issue but didn't follow the resolution prompts they recommended and instead hung up and moments after what a coincidence that the streaming started working again. I don't recommend their service if you have alternative. read more

I made new internet account and got a phone line my sisters both got new phones and new phones numbers and all with in one hour ! Beware of false claims and fraudulent business practices. Bad practice of cramming in extra equipment and charges. Quick to send out equipment you don't need. You must go through the hoops of returning or face exorbitant charges. If you are streaming you should just stick to YouTube TV. read more

When I entered I had a young man yell across the floor to check myself in. I sat and waited for a bit, soon after I saw a man waving at me to come over so he could help me. He didn't call me by name or even attempt to know my name. He very rudely told me to stand on the blue circle behind the desk. I let him know i was exchanging equipment and he took it, got another box and started checking me out. I was trying to explain which box I wanted. He looked up at me but didn't say anything. Then ended with you're all set. He made me feel insignificant and with service like this I could see why brick and mortar are becoming a thing of the past. I am giving a review for the company Spectrum, not the Whittier store. I purchased a phone on a Monday. It wasn't in stock, so it got ordered. Ryan R. was very helpful. However it's what ensued after that is frustrating and disappointing. It's now day #6 since I purchased the phone and I have nothing to show for it!!! I was told on day 3 that it is pending review. After many Facebook messenger messages, which gives me the run around, I still don't know why it's pending review. Spectrum customer service is the poorest of the poor! read more

I canceled service the day after my billing cycle. Representative told me I would not be charged for the month so I set disconnection for that day. I ended up being charged for the month. Very poor service. Totally useless. I purchased a new phone because Spectrum was offering a free year of T Mobile. I went in the store to migrate my data from my old phone to the new one I just purchased. The women at the coutner told me to download a certain app. It was not downloading. She would not look at my phone or touch the phone, or in any way help me. All she was able to tell me is that I needed to go to Geek Squad, (which requires a paid subscription). They need to either train their staff or get someone that can help with a basic request like this. Very unprofessional and disappointing. read more

The staffs are just standing there chatting with each other until they see glares from customers only then they move to the back room to finish their gossip and leave the customers waiting. My frail, elderly parents have a Spectrum bundle that includes the telephone. Their entire service went down. Spectrum was able to fix the internet and television. However, NOT the telephone, leaving my 90 year old parents without a means of communication! No method of calling for help! Spectrum is too busy and "cannot fit them in" for 3 days! Horrible horrible service. I have had the internet from them going in 5 years and worst thing possible. I would switch but only Verizon dsl is available in my area and that is too slow for my needs. I do give them when it works it works super fast. There are just too many outages. The internet is always going out and disconnecting and they always want you to swap out your wireless router and modem which never works. A technician from them came out and said it is their wiring but was told he doesn't know when they will fix it so why the heck do I have to pay my bill if it's your end that's not working. Horrible, if you can get another internet company with as close as possible speeds to spectrum go to them and not spectrum. read more

Internet has issues as it constantly shut down. We requested to have a technician come about the issue and later on were charge $50 without advance notice nor consent. The technician told his company that he has notified us of the charge. However, we were not informed of the charge when we made the appointment nor when the technician was here. After 30 minutes on the phone with the company, the general attitude from the management was "It is too bad for you." read more
