I just waited 40 minutes to be told they can't help me with broken equipment that came from them. The manager was hanging phone chargers on a wall while 3 employees were serving the 25 waiting customers. She did not walk around and ask to help people with smaller issues or find out what people needed. Had someone asked me I wouldn't have waited to find out I need to go to Apple . Bunch of liars!! Came in to set up Internet for my mothers house was helped out by a Vietnamese guy and my gf was helped by someone else. We both purchased the same plan but my mother was given the run around and forced to get other services and told it was required for the promotion rate. While my gf was helped after my mother and finished before her. She wasn't given the run around at all from another employee. I can't believe you would hire a bunch of thieves and liars that are inadequate to do their job. I believe his name was Vinh and he asked my mother to write down her personal info on a piece of paper and even asking for her social security number. When I asked my gf if she was asked to give her social security number or other personal info besides the obvious she told me No she wasn't asked that at all. They input info into the computer while Vinh wrote on a piece of paper looking very suspicious. Looked like he was trying to steal my mothers info for identity theft. Karma will get you 10 fold Vinh! I will contact the authorities and file a report. As well as corporate as encouraged by my lawyer. I am very disappointed with Spectrum! I had Frontier and was overcharge every month. When you first go with Spectrum they r very customer service oriented. After one year they charge u almost double for same service. They don't stand behind what the people on the phone say. They r not at all customer service at all. Unfortunately you don't have any options. I did away with my cable and have internet only. If I had any options I would get internet from another service. That is why they r able to treat people with no customer service skills. You don't have a choice. Until other cable companies r available I will keep internet only. We became a customer as of 10/29/18. After the initial set up and wiring, our internet and streaming had no change. It constantly disconnected. I called many times to tech support and they had me do the usual restarts, etc. Tech support sent technician #1. The tech re-did the original install, complained installer didn't know what they were doing. Immediately after tech left, not working again. Techs #2 - 7, also re-wired, installed new (same) modem. Rewired 8' part of the wiring outside, connecting to old wire. Each tech looked in the telephone wiring box to trouble shoot. Called special team to come re-wire complete from inside house across roof, through garage, and direct to telephone box. That tech while drilling left sawdust all over storage boxes which got into stored items, which I spent hours cleaning up. The person who drilled didn't bother to cover up anything and our storage items were damaged. Funny, Spectrum kept telling me they would be sending someone from their 'expert' division. LOL! Over 4 months and 11 technicians, our service was still not working as it should. When I requested a discount on the service that we weren't receiving, they denied that request. They wanted their money, but didn't supply the service we were paying for. Finally, tech #12 said wiring that went into phone box, was connected to a port that was labeled "BAD"!!! Nice work Spectrum. We had to wait while another Spectrum tech with a 'bigger truck' came and fixed to port right away. He asked me how many tech had been here, and if any of them looked in the telephone box and saw the port that said 'Bad'. Absolutely ridiculous, frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of my time, because I had to call, troubleshoot, complain, and be here for all the different appointments. read more

Can't say enough about their security guard! I didn't get his name, but he was incredibly helpful in EVERYTHING! First, He fully rocked the crowd control. People were arriving, but the store was already full. He was able to direct the customers who had returns to the UPS store around the corner (with exact directions, 5 stores down ). Helped people with appointments, even helped me make a payment at the in-store kiosk. This guy, who works for Allied Universal, goes above and beyond. I wanted to thank him on the way out, but he was already helping someone else. He made the experience more pleasant than it could've been considering the bad reviews. I will look up Allied and post a review there. This is an employee they should be getting top dollars for. IMHO, he's an incredible asset. Bravo, Allied! read more

Spectrum Business aka #bunchofcrooks. You would think when you discontinued service that 1) they would cease to bill you for the service 2)the company would return any credit balance for that billing cycle 3) that the credit balance would be processed electronically since I was on auto pay. But then let's consider who I'm dealing with...a cable company. So 1) they processed a payment 7 days after I cancelled service 2) you have to call them to request that they process your credit refund although they are an internet provider you cannot do this online 3) and best of all "the check is in the mail" they want your $$$ electronically but when it comes to their $$$ they send you a paper check via snail mail. Once again corporate is more than happy to take your money & hope you never bother to discover their slimy ways. Sadly but business practices like these must happen all the time. read more

I can see by previous reviews that I am not the only person who is dissatisfied with Spectrum. Unfortunately there are not too many other options in my area. They are a bait and switch on their pricing first off....they will tell you via media advertising that they have these great prices and will cover costs from a previous provider, but they don't tell you that once you swallow the hook, up your rates go. That's only part of the problem with Spectrum. Secondly if you try to have an online chat it is pointless. It's on auto answer and if you can ever get to an actual agent (be prepared to wait in a que) they are less than helpful. "NO there isn't a way to return to your original price agreement, NO you can not change your billing date (why the heck not??) and NO there is nothing we can do about your continually sketchy wifi connection. And remind me again....why did my pricing go up? If you can figure a way to get the services you need from some other company, I suggest you do so. Thanks for letting me rant...hopefully it will help someone else out there who is considering joining Spectrum. read more

Spectrum has the worst cable television and customer service ever! I have been paying $240 a month for crappie cable. I would constantly receive error messages that said "Guide not available" or "Channel not available". The hold time for technical support and customer service is ridiculous. This company doesn't seem to have any idea what customer service is... on a scale of United Airlines to Nordstrom they fall very close to United, perhaps tied. It's always a treat to speak with them on the phone and his time I decided to stop in and handle my issue in person. (I was already nearby). Needless to say the person was less than helpful, they essentially told me to go home and unplug my router and let it reset. The signal has been sent. I had to call technical support anyway, yay! This all happened because they misapplied my previous months AUTOMATIC payment and turned my account off for non-payment. No one seems to care and I'm sure it will happen again since this is the 3rd time this has happened to me since being stuck with them. Ugh. read more

I'm so glad I'm no longer a Spectrum customer, especially after waiting one hour to return my internet modem which took 30 seconds to do once I got called up! Most people are going to come on a weeknight after a work week, which is what I did. Spectrum is great for new customers but not if you are an existing customer. After 12 months thet raise your rates for cable to some crazy prices and will not negotiate. It would be nice if they gave existing customers a deal since I pay my bill on time and in full. Average customer service, spotty quality of connection, and an overall rather forgettable experience. I had signed up with spectrum because when frontier took over Verizon FiOS Internet, it was a debacle. I was a spectrum customer for two years, paying $49.99 a month, and although the quality was marginal at best, I knew the alternatives were not any better. However, recently spectrum jacked up prices by $25 because my promotional 24 month period was over, so I called to see if they had any other similar-prices plans, and they did not. They basically told me I was SOL, which to me makes no sense. Why would you charge a good, loyal customer in perfect standing, who has never missed a payment, more then you charge a new customer? I understand initial incentive promotions, but I also believe in rewarding loyalty. In all, I'd recommend other plans and companies. Very unimpressed with Spectrum and their ridiculous business decisions and pricing plans, where loyalty is punitive and as a sign of gratitude, they charge you more than they charge a new customer. Call me crazy but I dig Time Warner or Spectrum. Make no mistake they were Public Enemy #1 for about 15 years. I was shelling out about $250 a month for a 3 some bundle. ...TV/phone/internet and 1 premium channel. Plus more money on my Netflix and Amazon Prime on my Roku. Over the past 15 years Ive made countless nasty calls about my service. Probally got some gray hairs too. At night calls are outsorted to the Philippines. If your nice, they will be nice. My last call, I tried downgrading my package but instead they knocked $100 off and added every single premium package...Im talking HBO, Showtime, TMC, Epix, Starz, Encore, CMax..., free DVR, free home wifi, all rental fees for about $140 including tax. . It was an offer I couldn't refuse. I am not a fan, but this new price is winning me over. Now if only Sprint could knock $100 off my $250 Cell service Id be extra happy. read more

Our cable service was acting up so I scheduled a home visit. Rodalio came and tried to locate the problem. Our main box is pretty old so I was pretty sure we were going to have to turn it in. I really didn't want to do that since we had several saved programs that I didn't want to lose. Rodalio worked really hard checking connections all over our house and finally fixed the problem. I was really impressed!!! As it turned out, we did not have to turn in our main box and our service is better than ever. We want to thank Rodalio for his excellent service and his ability to find the problem and fix it. I was impressed at how he was willing to take the time to locate the issue. read more

Coming to the store was unnecessary. I have three thoughts about this: 1. I cancelled cable, not internet with Spectrum. Spectrum rep came to my house and updated our cable modem. No mention of returning equipment was made on the phone or during the visit. Due to some internet sleuthing and double/triple checking on an obscure part of the website, I saw we would continue to be charged for all equipment, including the cable boxes we were no longer using. Why the rep who came to the house didn't collect the cable equipment at that time is beyond me, in what seems to me to be a more efficient process. Unless, of course, the plan all along was to get me to keep the cable box so I could continue to pay a monthly equipment fee to have a very nice indigo blue clock. The lack of transparency on what would be charged can be viewed as intentional at worst, and at best incompetence. 2. Checked in at store location using the kiosk. Only to have several customer reps ask, "who's next?" Why force your customers to use technology if your employees don't plan on using said technology? 3. The attendee helping me was very pleasant and I enjoyed our interaction. However, I did not enjoy the attempt to be upsold services I had already cancelled. It's probably store policy, but don't freakin badger me. When I say I'm not interested, that means I'm not interested. TLDR: intentional lack of transparency and overall inconvenience in order to collect a few more dollars does not sit well with me. Two stars for the kind rep. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. This place is just like the DMV. Seriously when I walked in I checked in and was in 25th position. Asked how long it might take and she says 30 minutes to an hour. Keep in mind I'm here to just exchange a modem (a real quick exchange). They had 3 employee behind counters when I first arrived and when 45 minutes have gone by I was in 13th position. Looked around and all but 1 employee was still working. I keep seeing workers coming and going from the back, so not sure what their job was. Heard a lot of laughter and talking going on in the back. Cmon people it isn't that hard to run a store. Make sure you come early if you want anything done fast if not it will just be like waiting at the DMV. read more

Preston really was great which is why I felt the need to leave a review. He was super easy going, friendly and transparent. Told me how long it would take, explained the process, and helped me complete my equipment return and cancellation. He told me the rules about cancelling and how proration works so I was able to cancel to my best benefit. When I asked to confirm all of my equipment was on the return slip he was happy to help instead of upset I had to double check him like others might be (I've seen issues where I get charged after returning ALL my equipment with other providers). Even as a canceling customer, he treated me as a VIP spectrum member. Thanks Preston, would recommend again for sure, even though I just switched to Frontier fiber optic for the price and because I don't watch TV anymore. Cheers! Update: just a side note - after leaving the review I saw they are 2 starts, very shocked, they seem great. There are like 6+ counters and only 2 people working but I'm just happy they are open on a Saturday. If there was 2 counters and 2 people working, you wouldn't even be mad. After leaving the store, I call Spectrum and spent an hour on hold waiting for an answer about whether I was being charged for a phone I purchased and activation. I finally hung up when I realized that I had not placed the order or received a confirmation or receipt or any other paperwork. So they are off the hook as long as no charges appear on my credit card account. Again - employees at the store worked hard to solve the problem and were pleasant with me. The responsible party however needs to hire more people - I suspect the employees are underpaid and overworked - not the ideal job. Original feedback: Something is not working here. Employees all great and work hard but they have no support from manager or spectrum corp. Spent days there for simple porting from another carrier and never was completed. Manager threatened no to refund activation fee $50. Now i have no choice but file suit for fee plus 4 days lost busn income, approx total $4850.00 and still no phone service. read more

After the fourth hour, (two employees including the manager Cyrus) assisting one customer, I nicely asked if the other person could open a register and the other/ the manager Cyrus rudely responded that it takes two worker. Literally said - "no, it takes two to tango" and he laughed at me. Avoid this store!! The have no sense of urgency or customer service etiquette. Completely disgusted. Beautiful store front and innovative design. However, the customer service is exceptionally slow. My journey started at 6:15pm Mid week, 6:15pm check-in, 7 families waiting in the lobby, and only 2 Spectrum staff assisting customers. I've been sitting 15 minutes and all the people before me are also waiting. Witnessed multiple people walk out in frustration for their negative customer experience and long wait. Staff have no issue is leaving for their lunch breaks with a full lobby of customers. No one enjoyed seeing the staff member clock out as we waited in the lobby. As an example of how many customers have left, they just called 5 names out, none were present, but all had signed in. 6:45pm, 2 technicians assisting, 7 families still remain in lobby and 1 person checking in for what will be a very long wait. Dre is super helpful. Make sure to check in on the tablet once you walk in..(it's super slow, think the software needs to be updated). Come early to avoid the long wait. Even with the long wait, grumpy customers...Dre was calm and efficient. He helped cancel our Internet service at our old place and transfer it to our new location. 39.99 a month for 100mb plus 5.00/month for router fee. Spectrum TV is the worst of all the cable and satellite options. I have nothing against the store. The folks there have been mostly helpful. The reason for the poor review is I had cox communications for two years and never had an outage. Once a week I have to reboot my set top box after a channel I pay for days it's unavailable. Cox had the remote you can talk into. Spectrum does not offer that. Spectrum cost $50 more a month than Cox and I get fewer channels. The internet service is OK, but I will say their mobile service is the best value around. I will tolerate the OK internet service for the value the mobile brings but I think it is time to say goodbye to Spectrum TV read more
