Spectrum, their service should be considered a crime "STEALING!'' People need to be warned, internet always down (85%). When you call them they keep trying to collect on incorrect bills. Some of the female agents are very rude and hang up in your face. Then later in the day, after you still have not spoken with anyone, you receive a call from a recording wanting to know how professional they're agent was! hahaha! I have been a loyal customer with Spectrum for over 6 years since i moved back to Southern California. However, their bail ends operations could not make me more mad. They bring you in at a great deal, don't notify you that the intro rate is falling off, charge you twice the price and then when you call to work out a better offer they promise great offers to only try to switch things up after you've been with a rep on the phone for 73 minutes, 73 MINUTES! Signed up on line for high speed Internet, then after 2 weeks no one called to schedule an install. I called and they had no record of my account. A week later they installed it and things were ok.. Then I went to the store to return the faulty equipment they gave me and what a pain...waited 45 minutes to turn in bad equipment! They move at the speed of slow!! read more

This company is incompetent. I wanted to move my landline phone number to a landline at another property and was told Spectrum couldn't do that. They sold me a mobile plan and device and said I could transfer to the mobile instead. When I called to activate they said they had already discontinued my landline making it impossible to port it to the mobile. They lost my number of over 25 years. Also, even though they disconnected my service right away, I was charged for the full month because they claim they not prorate for unused services. So I was charged for a service I didn't receive and for the loss of my number. read more

So just on customer service, I had a pretty pleasant experience here. I had to open and cancel my service three times before time warner got it right, but the people here helped me get that out of the way in a timely manner. They actually have a pretty decent intake system now and a much nicer facility than they did a few years ago at the Bella Terra. Now you just walk in, sign in on the ipad, and wait for them to call your name. They also have small snacks and water available while you wait. I also noticed a lot more staff available this time around, compared to the old place that just had 2 people working an angry line of frustrated customers. Well done TWC with this store. read more

The last thing I wanted to do on a Sunday afternoon was wait for an hour to be served. But the angels were looking over l me. I was actually waiting 1/2 hour before the store opened but decided to wait at Target. When I returned two wonen were already waiting and it was 10 minutes before opening time. When the doors opened I was told to go to the counter for assistance. The nice clerk exchanged my remotes and I was out of the store in less than two minutes. It was great. Like others, if I could give a negative star I would. Last night at about 9:40 pm (3/8/14) I was watching Dateline, which covered a crime story. Just as the D.A. was giving his critical position on a murder case the cable box began to re-boot, completely cutting off TV service/reception. About 10 to 15 minutes later the cable box finished booting and the moment was lost; it was like reading a book and having the most important pages torn from the book. This has happened to me a number of times before - the cable box just goes into re-boot mode regardless of the time of day!!! I called TWC when the re-booting process started and I was livid. I told the customer service rep I wasn't pissed at him as I knew it wasn't his fault. I also knew there would be no supervisors working. I shared my displeasure with TWC and asked why the re-boot took place on a Saturday night at 9:40 pm - "Prime Time"!!! I asked for compensation and all the rep could say was TWC would give me $10.00 off for the box. WTF did that mean? I asked for a month's cost discount and was told TWC couldn't do that. I will call TWC on Monday and ask to speak to a supervisor, but I will not hold my breath. I ask you, why would the cable box re-boot on at prime time on a Saturday night????? It makes no sense. We all are at their mercy and they don't appear to give a darn as they have the monopoly. From what I read, satellite isn't much better. Terrible service read more

KIM was the rudest assistant I've ever met! She looked pissed before I even said anything. I came in to return an equipment and I asked her a simple question to make sure I wouldn't get charged for anything later and she FROWNED at me as if I was wasting her precious time! Just 1 simple question!! With that nasty attitude who would want to try out other services that Spectrum offers? Ok here is the update on my switch from Time Warner to Verizon Fios. Fios is working perfectly. The My Fios and Mobile Fios apps are great. I can record shows, watch shows,review phone messages easily from the app. I can record and watch recorded shows on any TV in the house. Picture is great. I have the phone set automatically to "do not disturb" each day at dinner time so the annoying telemarketers don't bother me. What a relief. Internet speed is great. Verizon is both MUCH more customer oriented and MUCH more professional than Time Warner. I wish I would have switched years ago. read more

Within minutes he explained my situation, and he quickly resolved my problem without hesitation. We were elated to see that our problem was  resolved by the great effort by this employee. Unfortunately in Huntington Beach, Spectrum essentially has a monopoly on high speed, semi-reliable Internet service especially where I'm located. Because it's shared cable service, actual performance fluctuates depending on time of day, users online, TV users, etc. TV performance suffers because of this shared bandwidth with dropouts and pixelation. System level reboots, unannounced software downloads ... Be aware. Spectrum bills on monthly basis. No proration. If you cancel on the first day of your new billing cycle, you're on the hook for the whole month. Not just the one day! No statement or notice of this policy. I hate Spectrum. read more

I've taken back everything positive I've said about this place previously. I came and exchanged my cable box yesterday and was happy it took 5 minutes. Turns out the dipshit behind the counter have me a faulty box. I was on the phone with customer service all evening only to have them tell me it definitely was a non working box. Completely inept check in girl. Had to run go ask manager to answer basic questions. Both the lady in front of me and myself were dropping off boxes having cancelled our service due to moving. We were unable to drop off because of the 18 (angry and upset) people waiting in line and we had both been told on the phone we could "drop and go". The girl offered to take but said we were responsible if it didn't get checked in as they accept no responsibility. We could also mail the parts to them but then we wouldn't have proof that all parts were delivered. She advised us to make appointments. I gave up and left. Tried to make appointment online as recommended, but sure enough with my cancelled account and move, I no longer had the information necessary. This TWC office is a fiasco of morons. I needed to pay my bills but the kiosk is always broken and there are little no to employees there helping customers. I had to wait there for 45 mins and the waiting list didn't even move. These people make Trump look honest. When I signed up I was assured that my bill would in the high $80 range; the first bill was $111. Earlier this week I dropped cable and phone, and was told that my remaining ISP service would be 200 Mbps. It is still at 100. I called and they offered to increase the speed for an extra $20/month. Can I give less than 1 star ? They do not even deserve 1 star. I finally closed my service, a customer for 38 years.. My wife told me that it now costs too much. $275. a month !! I had no idea since she pays the bills. I took my equipment to the office on Beach Blvd. today.. Checked in and was 10 on the list.. waited almost an hour to turn in equipment and close my service. There are 7 work stations and only 3 are manned. Then the spectrum employees (one of three) just walks off and disappears, then another one walks off and disappears.. while the room is filled up with WAITING customers.. This is the worst run business i have seen. I guess a business can do this if they have a federal imposed monopoly. I think the streaming services are going to put a big dent in their business. After reading the reviews for Time Warner, I feel incompetent for even considering subscribing to this joke of a company. I recently decided to try out Time Warner after Frontier bought out Verizon wireless (this whole monopoly of internet and cable providers is so frustrating). I shopped around and came to the conclusion that TWC would be the best alternative for the lack of providers in the OC area. The sales representative, Faison I believe, was very polite and helpful. She recommended the 200 mbps internet, and so I purchased it. The technician who came was nice, but cut corners. Shortly after he left, we realized he had knocked out the cable for our pre-existing cable (we subscribe to Dish for sole cable) so my mother's room no longer has cable. We called to straighten it out, and a woman named Rose took our complaint. She said she would call us back in 15 minutes and hung up. Surprise surprise, we did not receive a call back and we had to call again. They set us up with a second appointment. She assured us it would be the same technician who initially set up our internet (it wasn't) and he was not able to assess to problem, but offered to comp the charge of having dish network come out to fix the problem (which has yet to be solved). To top it off, the speed is currently working at, no joke, .25 mbps. What a joke of a company. I will be canceling and making sure I am not charged anymore after paying $105 to be duped. read more

Does anyone else majorly frustrated and upset with Spectrum customer service and billing as I am? If I could give negative stars, I would give as many as I can! Does anybody like their internet or cable TV company or recommend someone better than Spectrum? Btw-I just filed a complaint with FCC who regulates and governs them at 888-225-5322 and the lady was very nice and said they might be able to get me some resolution! I'm so sick of them raising my bill and sneaking in hidden charges and all the sudden my bill is double what it should be or more! You go to cancel and they tell you, 'oh well you just missed your date so we're not going to prorate anything we're just going to charge you for the whole next month, too and you have to call exactly on the 'right date' and if you miss it or can't get a hold of them because it takes so flipping long and they transfer you right and left you're going to pay for another month plus late charges! Does anybody know how to fight these people? I think we should get a class action suit against Spectrum and all cable companies who do this to their loyal customers who pay month after month they're exorbitant prices and they don't care how they treat us they just jerk everybody around! They're absolutely horrible and they rip us off right and left and they get away with it right and left! I feel so sorry for their employees because they must take a ton of abuse because they do this to their customers and their employees have to take the brunt of it. I can't imagine working for a company who treats their customers like this they must treat their staff the same way or worse! It's totally wrong and upsets everybody and they would rather pay employees uphold these horrible, unjust policies rather than just leave our bill as is so we wouldn't have to call and cancel all the time. Obviously, I don't want their cable TV anymore and I'm trying to 'fire' them but again they make it so difficult and you can't set up a date ahead of time to cancel you have to call right on 'the day' where your month ends and I've just had several busy months where that hasn't been possible. And there are 2 employees here that only help non English speaking people, so I have to wait longer because I'm American. This store, convenient...not always filled with employees ready to help people. Some are standing at terminals answering emails and generally screwing off, but once you finally get someone they want to help. However, their website sucks like a vacuum. Being the ONLY account holder, and being told I don't have permission to access call history on my home phone is BULL. I am also shocked that when calling the 888-twc-able number that they could not see the logs either which really chaps me. Now, I have to spend my time to go and get in line to get this information which should be readily available to me on the web (their cloud), or via the app on my iPhone which tells me there's no call history and I was told I should be able to go back a number of years vs. just the month or two that I need. Hope someone digs their head out of the sand and at 9am when I am there can help me with this matter. read more

Spectrum is not all it advertises. Long story short, They are holding my cell phone hostage. They refuse to unlock the phone (I paid in full) unless I get their service for 2 months. This was never told to me last year. At the same time I realized their cable sucked and within a week or so cancelled the mobile service. They made me buy their phone with no where to return it. I will be canceling their service at the end of the month because they don't prorate if done sooner. What a joke. They do have hidden costs and contracts. read more

This review is really about the TIME WARNER internet service VERIZON FIOS WHERE ARE YOU ???? We have had so many issues with Time Warner we finally got Netfix set up. The service tech was awesome. Problems again, so we called to get a service tech because the connection is so sporadic and we had no internet service or Netflix. After one hour on the phone we did get it set up and we asked to have a tech come check everything because the connection is not consistent and we were told NO you have a connection and its because you have to many devices and your Netgear devices are not supplied by TWC. We had purchased the Netgear booster, at the recommendation of the TWC technician who had helped us so much before, and they have no part in that. (The crazy thing is we were advised by the tech to purchase one.) We pay $250 per month and that is our answer... Verizon please hurry we need you !! We have been trying to get this set up for years ! Verizon does have a FIOS fiber optic system we just to get it into the house... The crazy thing is Verizon is also less money and hopefully better service ! Hopefully we can finally say GOODBYE to TIME WARNER read more

I hate having to come here. Normally long waits but today, Sat after 4th of July hardly anyone here. That's great, but having issues with internet connection with my phone. After spending hours with tech support in the last couple of days they decided I need a new SIM card. Since I got the phone activated in store I can go back there and have the sim card replaced and don't have to wait for one to be mailed. So tech support told me. Nope. Representative Kim is short, curt, says no they don't do that here and proceeds to get on the phone with tech support again. I said I've already spent hours on the issue. Tech support isn't aware that there is 'procedure' to follow (no jn-store sim swap) This is the latest in a series of horrible customer services that I won't bother going into here. There seems to be no cohesion between departments. I've been passed around multiple times by people who are generally good reps but 'are not authorized' to do whatever is necessary for the customer. Today, Kim has been advised to swap the SIM card and see if that solved the issue but she is insisting she has to get an 'ok' from her management. Really??? But no one at there 1 800 number could help with out my credit card. finally called new business line and the manager said to take them to a local store and they would take them, no they would not take them either. They have one of the worst customer service departments that I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE SPECTRUM FOR YOUR CELL SERVICE!! IT MAY BE A FEW BUCKS CHEAPER BUT NOT WORTH IT. We ordered TWO cell phones over the phone, received our phones in the mail, took our phones to the local Spectrum Store @ 16434 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA to get phones activated. A couple of weeks later, we received a package that I signed for, no label saying it is from Spectrum and addressed to my husband, so I took it to him in his office. I have been going thru breast cancer and he has been working from home while taking care of me, my dad is sick in nursing home, my brother had a major stroke and is in a nursing home, so we have been very overwhelmed and the box was not opened immediately because we didn't order anything, then we received our first Spectrum bill and it was abnormally high so when we called Spectrum said that we were sent another phone in the mail so we opened the box and sure enough there was another cell phone so I immediately took it to the Spectrum store to return the unopened phone box and to my dismay Spectrum told me it was too late to return, we received it in January..... so I explained that we never ordered a 3rd phone, obviously, the phone was never opened....... I asked to speak to a manager so had to come back the NEXT day, which I did, and the manager was very rude and said it is out of his hands because the transaction was done online and the Spectrum employees that take orders online do this to meet their quotas for commissions, etc....... he was VERY RUDE to me at the store......so we have been trying to speak to a Manager and keep being told a manager will call us but still no phone call from managers. ALL WE WANT TO DO IS RETURN A PHONE THAT WE NEVER ORDERED!! WE HAVE BEEN on the phone for 2 hours trying to speak to a supervisor in the fraud department but keep getting shuffled around, so I am having to resort to filing complaints online which will include this complaint with the Federal Communications Commission. **Also, we switched from T-Mobile (big mistake), so I had an IphoneX Spectrum said they would give us a $240 credit for, but it had a cracked screen, so I paid my $100 deductible to get a new phone so we could do the trade in, but when we tried to do the trade in Spectrum would not honor their original promise, so I had to sell at an online site for $180 instead! Also, when I was waiting to speak to a manager at the store, there was a gentleman sitting next to me on his cell phone speaking to customer service and he was complaining about almost the identical problems we were having!!! And today we received an email from Spectrum saying that my mobile device insurance has been cancelled, which we HAVE NOT CANCELLED...... I can't wait until our contract is up. The only service we have with them is Internet and...it's not fast. They just raised their rates to $75.99 a month....just for Internet! They don't tell us when the rates get raised...it just happens. As for customer service, we've had them for 5 years and they won't budge on any prices. No discount. Nothing. I am writing this review for Store Manager Cyrus. He really helped my mom out. We are from out of state also setting up the phone was a 2 hour process. He was yelled at from people that it was taking forever but it wasn't his fault. Even when customers yelled at him he was still so helpful and thorough with us on what to do when my mom got home. Dont have technician working on weekends. Give you faulty equipment, but when you don't pay on time they want to cut your cable off. BAD BUSINESS COMPANY, leave people without TV services for days. The customer service agents will only be attentive if you're subscribing for new sevice. If not, they are absolutely useless. You will be passed from agent or flat out "hung up on." Also the remotes do not fully function and they have not mastered their DVR technology. The dvrs can't even share your recorded shows or movies with other rooms in your house. Spectrum is a joke. Unfortunately, spectrum monopolizes my residential area so I have no choice but to accept their shenanigans. Because they are fortified by market shares lock-up, they provide the worst customer experiences of any public company. Been with them for over 15 years (Time Warner), but it's services sunk to the abyss immediately after TW became Spectrum. Phone customer service reps are forced to up-sales with long queue wait time. I thought the customer experience would improve by physically visiting one of their stores- wrong assumption. I was bombarded with heavy sales tactics. Rather than resolving my issue, they aggressively tried to up-sales their bundled package. Luckily, I escaped free from further cost commitment.
