This is a long time coming and I'm so aggravated. I had spectrum for 1.5 yrs with zero issues. I moved in November and I've spent countless times calling re no cable or internet. Despite them coming out on a couple occasions and them leaving only to have nothing working the next day I finally had everything canceled in December 2018. Fast forward to end of January they are still sending Bill's for past due payment. I tell them if I had service I would have pain, then against my better judgment I said if you can come out and get everything to work I'd be happy to just be able to watch the damn news. That guy did a wonderful job and I've had cable/internet since. Wtf am I still getting past due Bill's. I just spent another 30+mins on the phone with a supervisor and guess what?!?! Despite three service calls, I get a constant message saying "press to restart", which results in nothing but the screen showing a circular image that does nothing. I have to turn off the internet button and then reboot all over again. Extremely annoying. I cannot change channels without first either (a) waiting for several seconds before this message goes away or (c) pressing another button over and over again to finally eliminate the button. Next channel I go to starts all over again. Another pathetic feature is the hand held controller. Very poorly laid out with tiny buttons that don't work. In the past when it was Time Warner, the buttons used to help in resetting everything. All that is eliminated so one cannot do that anymore. I also detest their constant raising rates. Just incents me more to move to FIOS and get my bill reduced by $50 a month. Why don't the idiots running these outfits STOP when we all know we will dump them. Instead of keeping any loyalty with customers, why they just go for greed. read more

Is zero stars an option? WOW! I am shocked at the lack of customer service. Not only does the service completely blow but the management of Spectrum is appalling. I had Spectrum for 30 days - most of the 30 days I used my cell phone hot spot to connect to the internet because the Spectrum internet did not work. The tech tried to resolve it, did not work. So I canceled my service and moved to Fios, which by the way is awesome. I called Spectrum because they charged me $140 for the 30 days of "service." They sent me to collections and refuse to waive the fee because I did not spend the time to call in multiple times to report the same issues...ummm ok. I am sorry but I do not spend all day on my sofa reporting internet issues. Why should I pay for something that does not work? If there was an option to not pick any stars I would pick that. I was on vacation and asked them to suspend my services for the time. When I got back my devices were off so I called to reactivate my services. They hadn't suspended my services and had been billing me, so my services were disconnected for non payment when they were supposed to be suspend for the summer. When I called they said that because there weren't any notes from the representative, who obviously didn't do her job in the first place, I was at fault. I will be switching providers and I hope to deter people from going with this horrid company. My name is Madisyn. I have been calling for two weeks trying to get a technician out to my work, The Lodge Four Seasons in Murrieta (a 55+ facility). The two tv's in our gym are not working. I have talked to over 10 different people about my problem and appointment, I have been hung up on, transferred without being told, cancelled on, and believe my company has been forgotten about. We have had people almost fired because of this. This is absolutely ridiculous. I need someone to get out here NOW! I first called Friday July 14th, to schedule a technician to come out and fix two cable boxes and program two remotes. I spoke with Elijah Williams a Business Class Technician, he told me he can get someone out here Monday the 17th. He then emailed me the work order number and the remote manual. I had the appointment set up for Monday, July 17th from 1pm-5pm no one ever showed. I called at 5:30pm (giving the technician time to show because I thought they might have been running late) to speak with someone to see what happened. That day I talked to 6 different people (I was transferred without being told and hung up on). Those 6 different couldn't find my account or my work order. The last person I spoke with was very helpful - he found my account and my work order number easily. He told me the man who scheduled the original appointment made it for Monday the 24th. I asked him if there was any way I could get someone out here sooner. The man said he couldn't help me but will have someone give me a call within an hour to an hour and a half to schedule the appointment sooner. He gave me a ticket number and the customer service number to call if no one called by 10:00 am the next day. Surprise! They never called. I called the following day at 10:30 am giving them my ticket number and they told me the ticket was cancelled. When I asked why they had no answer. They told me that all they can do is keep the July 24th appointment. So, I waited. Yesterday, July 24th the technician never showed - again what a surprise. I called at 5:45pm and spoke with Amanda then was transferred to Alex. He easily found my work order number and acknowledge that the technician is about 45 minutes late. After telling him what I have been going through with this company he told me he was going to personally see what happened and try to get someone out here that night. He also told me someone would call me within an hour to an hour and a half. Another surprise!! No one called. So, I again called at 8:00 pm. After speaking to Jeff, I was transferred to Clayton. After I told Clayton what I again have been dealing with he (the only person) apologized for everything. He told me he was going to email my information over to the appointment center and tell them to give me a call - he did this while I was over the phone with him so I knew he sent it. He told me someone should call me again within an hour to an hour and a half. No one ever called. So today I am going to call again. I had a cable connected to my tv antenna which gives me basic channels. I requested internet service from Spectrum and the service was installed successfully. However, when I went to turn on my tv later on that evening, I realized they used my tv cable to hook up the internet. I had to speak to a manager to get them to have a technician back to my home. The manager said my problem would be fix. However, when the technician got here he said I would have to pay someone to install another cable through the wall. So in my opinion they did not do their job so I will canceling the internet service and get it through someone else. read more

When the service was provided by Time Warner before it became spectrum it was less expensive and the reliability was significantly better. I regularly experience poor internet performance, cable network failures and services like redbox online significantly degraded when going across the spectrum network. read more

I WAS ON THE PHONE OF AND ON ALL DAY TODAY. He said that I had an installation appointment on Monday between 2 and 3 but I needed to call the installation number if I needed to change it. So I did call and they said there's no installation here at all. And as soon as that we can come out is Wednesday. That is not ok. He just gave me a whole Runabout story. And then transfer me to customer service. After 20 minutes on hold waiting for customer service. I finally got someone on the on the line period and couldn't understand anything that they were saying there was a language barrier. She finally after telling me the same thing over and over again that somebody from installation will call me back in 15 minutes to let me know what time tomorrow they will be here I said great Thank you so much. 15 minutes came half an hour an hour hour-and-a-half I finally Called insulation back again.They said you can only have it on Wednesday .When originally it was Monday, and now it's Wednesday? I think this is so ridiculous. I said finally I just want to cancel it altogether. He said okay will let me send you to the right person. I waited on hold for 43 minutes. I'm hoping this is where I can leave a review so that people can understand how awful this company is. I will make sure it's seen in other places as well. We have been customers for two years and have had okay internet and tv at best. They both cut out randomly ruining time that I was supposed to be working and big games on the tv. We were given no help because we had "the fastest speed possible" for our area. We recently cancelled added on channels in an effort to get our bill down to something affordable (-$20) Satisfied we moved on. The next day our bill went up $20 because our promo rate ended. We literally cancelled out extra channels for no reason. After endless conversations with representatives and no help, we cancelled our TV and went with someone else. We were given a price for internet if we cancelled our TV and figured we would deal with that price but when we actually cancelled we were given a rate $15 higher than originally quoted. We have neighbors who are not new customers who were recently given a rate $20 less that the rate we were quoted! How is it that this company can charge any random number to each person?! They also give this rate to brand new customers and won't offer it to loyal customers. We will be cancelling their internet as well as soon as we set up a new account with a different company. We will make sure that none of our ever changing neighbors (military base) go with your company. They only care about the new customers that they lie to in order to get them to buy their services. I am paying almost 160.00 for a bundle package. I first started and the bundle package was 108.00 now price has went high and for the services I got its not worth the money. I called to see how they can help me and they basically said we don't have any other promotions for you but we understand if you want to cancel services. What type of company would rather lose customers instead of making them happy and keeping them? They act like I was trying to get my services for free. This is not specific to any particular local office, but more at their marketing/sales staff. I pay for TV service through Spectrum for my In-Laws. I get a call one day saying that they have a sale going on to bundle internet and phone services along with the TV service. As I am not in charge of the household as far as internet or phone service is concerned I asked the sales person if he could call back the next day so I would have time to speak with my In-Laws about it. The guy told me is was a special promotion and that it was the last day the rates he was offering were available. I let him know I wasn't interested at that point, but thanks for calling and ended the conversation. The next day I get a call from Spectrum. Not sure if it was the same person or not, I didn't bother to ask, but seeing as how I was told it "was the last day these rates were being offered" I hadn't bothered to have the conversation with my In-Laws. It really put me off, and makes me feel that it was just a lame attempt to "pressure" me into accepting the additional services. The TV service (or product) itself seems to always be working, so if this was based solely on that I would have given them a much better rating, however I feel that ratings are based upon more than just the product but the consumer interactions with the company, which unfortunately have sullied my impression of the company. read more

Spectrum has to be THE WORST Internet Service Provider I've ever had the displeasure of subscribing to! Talking to anyone of these so-called "Customer Service" representatives is an exercise in patience. Their incompetence is unbelievable and if I could give a minus-5 Stars, I would! I found out that there is another person's name on my account and I've been going back and forth with Spectrum to fix the problem for over 5 months now! I am constantly being told that the problem would be corrected by "someone" at Spectrum but I've yet to see anything in the way of a solution. Today, I called about the problem again and I was told by a represenative, "You (the customer) have done nothing to fix the problem. I see by the notes that you've been calling in for months now but should have went into a Spectrum store to tell them about the problem." What????? So, now it's MY FAULT??? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SPECTRUM. Several years ago I left Time Warner because of their poor customer service. last week I was shopping for a better deal for my tv and internet service. I made the mistake of calling Spectrum. The guy on the first call got my order wrong. He gave me the latino package. I do not speak Spanish. He also said there was an unadvertised special of $85.00 for internet and TV. The email confirmation said it was $90. When I called back the same day (call number 2) The second guy did not know how the first guy quoted me the $85. I also decided not to get the apple box for $8 a month. The second guy confirmed with me that none of the equipment had shipped yet. he would change my order to the correct tv package and cancel the apple box. Two days later I did not receive an confirmation email with the corrected order. I called again (call #3) She said that the first order went through and she couldn't even see the notes of what the second person promised me. I also confirmed with all three people that shipping labels would be sent with the equipment so I could send anything back. This third person completely screwed everything up and that was when I decided that I would get the router, apple box and Cable card and ship it right back before I even opened it. I received the apple box and router in two separate boxes. Neither had shipping labels. I received an email that the cable card was delayed in shipping. I called spectrum again (4th time) and asked if shipping labels were supposed to be sent with equipment. I was told yes. When I said that I have two boxes and both do not have shipping label the guy gave me an attitude for asking a question I already knew the answer to. He told me I could drop off the equipment at a local spectrum store. I took the router and apple box to the local store. guess what, they accepted the router but would not accept the apple box. I was told to call spectrum customer support and request a shipping label for the apple box. I called (5th time) and was put on hold for 30 minutes. While I was on hold I researched the spectrum website. I learned I could take the apple box to a UPS store and have it shipped out. While I was on hold I walked into the UPS store, near the spectrum store. I was shocked when the lady in the UPS store said she gets angry spectrum customers all the time. She scanned the box, printed a label and gave me a receipt. Now All I got to do is get the cable card and ship it back and GER AS FAR AWAY FROM SPECTRUM AS I CAN. read more

Run in the opposite direction as fast as you can. This is it in a nutshell. Their cable service does not work, they blame you for their deficiencies and they do not like it when you have documentation specifiying how many times they have come out and still not fixed the problem (in a 15 month period). Worst customer service EVER! Each time I called, a different CSR gave me a different story, new charges, etc.... And the billing department is a nightmare! When I set up, I was told no charge for installation, my 1st bill reflected $149.00 of installation & activation fees! WHAT THE HECK?!!!! It took 4 months of stress, many phone calls and hours of my time to finally get the bill straight (well close enough). I highly doubt that my earned $150.00 Best Buy card will ever arrive, the incentive for us to stick with it for 90 days.... SO Not worth it!!! so I just moved to Temecula and my wife favored Time Warner Cable (for whatever reason). We tried calling the Customer Service/Sales Line to order service. Whenever my wife tried to navigate through their telephone menu via voice commands, the system would just hang up on her. So I called and tried navigating with touch tone. The system hung up on me twice so I resorted to the good old "press-the-zero-star-and-asterisk-keys-as-many-times-as-possible"-trick. Finally I got hold of a sales rep that couldn't have been more uninterested, unmotivated and rude. My wife tried ordering new service, resulting in the fact that the sales rep was getting more and more rude and obviously wanted to end the call as soon as possible. Which he ended up doing anyways, as he was trying to play dumb and just abruptly ended the conversation with "we don't offer service at your premises", although I know that Time Warner has been hardwired to our premises. Oh well, Time Warner, keep riding on your high horse. With reviews this disastrous on Yelp! and your customer level people having the worst attitude, you'll need more than a movie studio to keep afloat... read more

I can't believe how much Time Warner Cable sucks. They started out by issuing a phone number to me that they took away after three days. This was after I had given the number to my bank, credit cards, utilities, and family as a contact number. Their explanation for doing this was because they said it was a temporary number. I have never heard of anybody being issued a temp number. Anyway, their customer care supervisors had no answers as to why this happened and continued to ask if I was sure I didn't make the request to have my number changed. How stupid can you be? There are detailed notes when a Customer calls in to make changes to their account, so they should be fully aware that I didn't request to have my number changed. My suggestion is DON'T GET TIME WARNER SERVICE!!! I wish I could give them a negative rating. read more

I like the rest of the majority of customers have no respect for this co! I have written to the CEO and to the FCC regarding their practices but FCC didn't do anything to correct what their doing. Congress let them become one of the biggest companies in the US and because they are one of the biggest their prices have triple they advertise on TV a price but when one calls them on it they don't honor it. I have had some service issues like others have relayed but I can't really complain about their customer service. They have been pretty good when I needed to contact them. My BIG Issue is that I was just informed that my rate would be going up to $220 after a reasonable introductory price and one rate increase to $176 in my second year. I don't have any of the extras except for the $5 sports package. I get totally annoyed every single day when I see the hundreds of Spectrum commercials on every TV station. Maybe if they would stop spending the big bucks on advertising they could afford to not rip off their customers. (Wonder how much they were paying Ellen?) Typical corporation...only concerned about their profits and could care less about providing a service at a reasonable price. The evil of monopolies; we don't have much choice do we? The worst cable company ever! The low scores says it all. They are awful in customer service, and I was so disappointed on how I was treated as a new customer. These people tell you a quote and change their fees all the time. They put you on hold for 40+ minutes at a time. I spent 3 days and a total of 8 hours on the phone with them all to cancel my services. Their merge from time warner to spectrum has made a complete mess out of my account and they are charging me more because I cannot have what time warner was charging me vs. what spectrum is offering. I even had a rep hang up on me after I asked to speak with a supervisor. The worst possible Customer service ever! Time warner came to my home today to install and in the middle of it the technician stated that this is a difficult set up. He left and told us to contact TWC for another install. Now he has left all the wires disconnected and our current services (through frontier) is not working stating there is no server! I'm on the phone with TWC right now and they tell I have to wait from 12-7 for a technician to even come back. It's ludicrous!!!!!! My cables are out everywhere and I'm on the phone with charity a supervisor and now with pam another supervisor at twc and they are suggesting that I contact frontier to fix my service!!! Pam has stated that they cannot semd a technician back to fix frontiers wiring! Really, TWC took them apart!!!!!!!! read more

The new Spectrum cable bombarded us with ads for their new service, first I filled out the order form online. then I got an email saying I needed to contact them about my order. i then spent another 25 minutes on the phone with a less than highly intelligent person basically placing my order all over again. The tech came out for installation, he couldn't figure out how to hook the internet up and disconnected something so now my satellite TV doesn't work. used to be a TIME WARNER CUSTOMER but we changed to VERIZON since we had to moved and that location was not covered by Time Warner that time. and now after all these problem we're having at FRONTIER. i sign up to change back to TIME WARNER again. TODAY was supposed to be our installation appointment but for whatever reason the assigned technician didn't even showed up and no call was sent to me. didn't even leave me a message to informed me about the delay or whatever it is the reason they didn't showed up. i was the one who made a call to that REPRESENTATIVE WHO convinced me to try again there service. being annoyed and pissed all day. i lash out on him. he's very apologetic and manage to check why the technician didn't showed up on my assigned schedule.but didn't tell me the reason he just said that my scheduled was changed to a different date. WHAT THE FUDGE!!!!!! spent all day waiting for that freaking technician little did i know they already changed my schedule and doesn't have the decency to tell me about the change. what a nice first impression. if i already have this trouble now what more in the FUTURE! SO THANK YOU. I had to update: regardless of the bad experienced i had in the past. I need to say something Good for the company. Anyways, they're still my Provider. When I told the rep I wasn't interested and pointed out our 'No Soliciting' sign, the sales guy said that they have a license to go door-to-door.
