This is just the beginning of my attempt to make it known how terrible my customer service experience was with Spectrum in general and manager Farman specifically. We have been dealing with an issue on a brand new phone purchased on July 5th. When my wife went in today Farman pretended not to remember her. Rude and insulting. At one point told her that she should consider changing providers if we weren't happy. I am on a mission now to find out who Farman's boss is. This will go further. They intentionally make it nearly impossible to contact them. They have no incoming phone call capabilities. Farman...you are terrible at your job. Today mom,puppy and I walked into spectrum porter ranch to buy A new cell phone for Mom and get phone service from Spectrum. We have had spectrum cable for years and are very happy. We waited about 15 minutes not bad. An extremely nice and knowledgeable young man helped us effortlessly in the process. Everyone was so kind to puppy and got our phone hooked up and serviced in just a very short time. I do not know why everyone is complaining about Spectrum. We have always had good service and good TV watching through the years not to mention they have the Dodgers! We have a second home in Palm Desert and we have frontier cable which isn't half as good and no Dodgers! We cannot switch to spectrum because the HOA pays for our cable service. read more

Be careful when they say in their commercials "there are no taxes and no hidden fees, what you see is what you pay." We started at $100 a month and once that "promotion" wore off, we went to 150. Now that the latest promotion wore off, we're paying 185.00 a month. I have attached a copy of the charges which show "taxes and fees." When I tried to ask them about the latest bill which went from $150 to 185, they told me that the latest promotion had ended, yet we received no notice and they refuse to adjust. When I asked them if they have a program for veterans like DISH ("Stars and Stripes") they said they offer no discounts for veterans. Well, thankfully we don't have a contract. read more

Also, the worst experience I had was with rep "Daniel" who gave me a hard time and lied to me about charging me for boxes that are free for a year - there are no supervisors at this store - I have been to this location twice and both times I have had horrible experiences - from Spectrum losing the boxes I returned and trying to charge me and two months of phone calls to get refunded to just trying to pick up two new Xumo boxes and being told I'm going yo be charged for 4 boxes because the FedEx delivery Spectrum promised never showed up and could not be tracked. I don't do many Yelp reviews at all but felt compelled to let people know that all you will get at this location is a nightmare - so yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I've had Spectrum since it was Charter and before Charter when it was something else. I've always liked them. Never had issues. Very friendly, helpful and personable reps working for them. HOWEVER....since moving to Woodland Hills, I have at least 3 service interruptions that have lasted HOURS. Hours!!!!! When I called to ask for some type of compensation, I was told I could get a $5 credit. That's $5 for the HOURS, at least 8 hours, it was off. That to me unreasonable. I would at expect at least an offer of $20 or more or 2 weeks of HBO etc. They are very cheap! read more

Cut the cable! Forman (that's his name, although he didn't wear a name tag like the others) didn't care to mention that the six new TV boxes he gave me came without coaxial cables to connect to the wall, or the hdmi cables to connect the boxes to the tv's. Amazing customer service! The associate that assisted me was Ivan Hernandez. I went in to get Wifi for my new apartment. Ivan went over all the available offers with great detail also asking me what my usage on the Wifi would be to see what offer would suit me best. Had the worse experience at this Spectrum store. Came in and waited very patiently for an hour to be helped. During that hour, I helped two elderly customers make payments on the automated machine so that they could be on their way because no one was helping them. I also helped a third customer check in. Once it was my turn to be helped (after waiting an hour) all I needed was a new SIM card and to have it installed. The first rep rudely handed me the SIM card and didn't offer to install and set it up. He wanted me to call customer service and wait another hour on the phone. A second gentleman approached me and said he couldn't help because I am not an authorized user on the account. I indicated to him that my DL address matches the address registered with the account and I also asked him to call my wife as her number is the primary on the account but he was dismissive. I was convinced I was already an authorized user. I later figured out that being an authorized user with Spectrum Internet doesn't automatically make you an authorized user on the mobile side as if I was dealing with two separate providers! Makes no sense, Spectrum! Very bad experience overall at the store and with the carrier. read more

I called Spectrum in the beginning of Sept 2022. I have been a customer with them for 25 years. I have seen many for new cust who are getting much better prices for cable,internet and phone. I spoke to a few people in sales and they were of no help. I finally spoke to a retention specialist and she said would the bill.. I just received my new bill and it was the same.Today I called and spoke to someone in sales. According to the representative they have a record of me calling and talking about of the bill. . Conveintly they record of my converstation with region specialist. I think this is outrageous is bacically calling me a liar. I called Spectrum before going into the store. The customer service rep assured me she'd left a "note" on the account detailing my issue and they could assist me at this location. The associate was curt, handed me a card with a SIM card attached and told me I could call 661 to set it up. My entire issue was I couldn't use the phone without wifi. So I would have to drive back home, call spectrum and set up. I repeated that back to him because it didn't make sense. I had waited 20 minutes in the Spectrum store for him to tell me to go home and call Spectrum. He insisted he couldn't do it. I want everyone to know that when making a payment at the spectrum store (especially the van nuys plant store) payment will NOT be posted for7 to 10 days. I'm my case they lost it and did not post it. They call and beraid you everyday until the process is completed. They also did NOT help me in any way. You would not believe what happened with my Spectrum business phone line. It has been a nightmare for me. All I asked to transfer my business landline to a mobile one since I moved to a different location but wanted to continue using the same phone number. It has been TWO MONTHS and I still have no phone available to receive or make phone calls. If you have a choice save yourself aggravation and prevent your business from losing clients and revenue as a consequence of Spectrum's inability to provide your business needs with simple transitions. The company promises a lot, but they breaking the promise thelp you running your business using their service. Customer service reps are absolutely undertrained and do not know what they are doing. Moreove they screw up every step of the way in any small transition, such land line to a mobile line. STAY AWAY from Business Spectrum if you can. I recently went to the Spectrum store in Porter Ranch, CA to pick up and swap out equipment. What should have been a smooth visit turned out to be a chain of events that ended with the worst customer service I have ever experienced from the store manager "Farman". I checked in after entering the store, there were 6 people ahead of me, I see four reps, I'm thinking this shouldn't take long. After waiting almost 45mins, four customers before me left frustrated because it was taking too long get help. With 4 customer service members in the store, only 2 were actually helping customers. I asked the manager why he or the other rep weren't helping anyone. Expressing arrogance he replied "they (customers) have to wait." So I asked him why he wasn't assisting anyone, he said "it's not my job." I then asked "seeing people frustrated and leave your store, does that not make you feel like maybe you should jump in and help the line move faster?" he replied "No, they have to wait" I told him this is not good customer service, he said "I don't care." Note: when I first checked in, he was behind the desk helping a customer with another rep behind him. After he was done with that customer, he walked away, and shadowed the other reps while watching customers walk out. I think a manager should have good problem-solving skills, be a leader, maintain good customer relationships and provide excellent customer service which is the opposite of what I experienced. I work from home and need a reliable internet service so I can be connected to a server, emails, and zoom meetings. I was getting several short interruptions a day which caused me to get logged out of zoom meetings, company server, and email server. There is a problem with the cables outside of my house and Spectrum refused to send a tech to fix the problem. They had already changed a long cable going from the house up to the pole three years ago because the tech told me it had been chewed up by squirrels. I suspected this was the same problem again, perhaps at another cable junction, but they refused to look into it. The last two so called Spectrum representatives I spoke with were unprofessional and weren't even paying attention. I would not be surprised if they were working from home and probably playing video games or watching a movie at the same time I was on the phone. It felt good to tell Spectrum bye bye-yesterday (cancelled ALL my services, including cable TV). Three stars for the location overall service of previous representatives and 5 stars for the representative Ivan. He resolved my issue of my phone not working by sending out a technician. I was having an issue with my phone service from Spectrum. I came here to sign up service and the representative I signed up with told me the service should be an easy service to set up myself. I tried setting up the service myself numerous times and it did not work. I came to this location multiple times and was refused to have a technician sent to my house because this is an "easy set up". Ivan was very shocked when I told him I was refused service of having a tech sent to my house. He immediately scheduled a technician to my house. The technician found the issue to be in the street wiring. Spectrum needs more representatives like Ivan, he is very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. read more

We have had our service quality decline steadily since the switch to Spectrum. Constant outages, slow internet and unstable connection even when it IS connected. I would have given 1 star but the guy at the front door was nice & professional. I came in to see about ordering an iPhone 13pro max. I was directed to an associate Daniel. I wasn't offered any information about the phone. Just do I want to order it or not & what color would I like. I tried to make small talk & asked him what he thought about the phones & if he had an iPhone. He said no he has an android. I decided to do research on my own & went ahead & ordered it. I told him I wanted gold. I got home & looked at the invoice. He ordered blue! I had to call spectrum customer service. They said I had to cancel the whole order & do it again. Quite simply the most difficult company to do business with. They continually verify addresses and phone numbers and account numbers, yet when it comes time to service the account they can't find where you are, or go to the wrong address. I've been on the phone with them for at least four hours this morning and have yet to have them resolve our issue. Since I've had such a great experience with Spectrum for internet and TV, I thought that I would make the transition from T-Mobile to Spectrum Mobile. The service (from what I can tell) is good, but the store on Rinaldi in Porter Ranch is abysmal. It started with not selling me the correct phone as I was assured that an iPhone 12 is the equivalent to an iPhone 12 Pro, perhaps my fault as I should have know this was incorrect from the get-go. Then I came in the next day to exchange the phone as the phone that I got was overheating, freezing and glitching. I use a lot of apps for work and it's clear that the 12 doesn't support the high capacity that is needed for the use of all of these apps. Everything was smooth sailing until the system crashed / logged out the sales rep; most likely this took place because Ivan (the salesman) kept leaving his station to take calls and so forth. So when it came time to actually do the sale, the system did not allow him to complete the exchange because of the lock out due to him taking too long to do the transaction. He called the support and was informed that the lock would be removed in 24 hours - he assured me a ticket was submitted THAT NIGHT. I was annoyed but hey, it happens. Ivan said he would call me the following day with updates. PLURAL. I never received a call. Today, 05/05/2021, I come back to the Rinaldi store and spoke with Eri (who was the guy who originally sold me the phone) and he informed me that the account was still locked. Ivan was there making excuses as he was "waiting for his manager to tell him the status before he called me". They weren't able to do anything so I took it upon myself to call the Spectrum Mobile Customer Service line and was informed that the store had to call and get it unlocked but the store told me that they could not do it; laziness, probably. I run 4 urgent cares and HAVE TO HAVE A PHONE. Patients, doctors and nurses rely on me. The store team did not seem to care - I spoke with the Manager Alicia who pretty much brushed me off as she hit me with a "there's nothing that I can do". She promised to call me tomorrow (05/06/2021) and then she said "oh well I don't come in until 12 so it'll be late tomorrow". At this point I'm over them and their lies so I just say "ok". When it comes to Customer Service, they lack major components. Ivan shouldn't have told me that he would have called me if his plan was never to follow through. I didn't ask him, he offered. Alicia could show more compassion and actually have a care about the issue at hand SINCE IT WAS THEIR FAULT THAT IT HAPPENED but nope. Nothing. She was emotionless.
