This was a quick and easy process for me when I had to come here to pick up my TV box equipment. I of course made an appointment online beforehand the morning of because I knew if I don't, I would be stuck waiting at the store. Finding parking at the place is kind of easy because it's in a big plaza. I was about 10 minutes late due to traffic but they didn't sat anything. Once I arrived inside the store, a person told me to put in my confirmation number and I saw on the TV that I was the next one up since I made an appointment. The process took no more than like 4 minutes because they tried to promote their mobile service but I wasn't interested. He did not help with my issue when I asked him to add wifi to my new customer phone order (which was incorrectly left off the order) he said he could not do it, we had to call customer service. We asked to speak to a manager and he said there is no manager on duty. I asked to speak to another service representative to confirm and he had me re-sign in again. This is just the beginning of my attempt to make it known how terrible my customer service experience was with Spectrum in general and manager Farman specifically. We have been dealing with an issue on a brand new phone purchased on July 5th. When my wife went in today Farman pretended not to remember her. Rude and insulting. At one point told her that she should consider changing providers if we weren't happy. I am on a mission now to find out who Farman's boss is. This will go further. Today mom,puppy and I walked into spectrum porter ranch to buy A new cell phone for Mom and get phone service from Spectrum. We have had spectrum cable for years and are very happy. We waited about 15 minutes not bad. An extremely nice and knowledgeable young man helped us effortlessly in the process. Everyone was so kind to puppy and got our phone hooked up and serviced in just a very short time. I do not know why everyone is complaining about Spectrum. We have always had good service and good TV watching through the years not to mention they have the Dodgers! Be careful when they say in their commercials "there are no taxes and no hidden fees, what you see is what you pay." We started at $100 a month and once that "promotion" wore off, we went to 150. Now that the latest promotion wore off, we're paying 185.00 a month. I have attached a copy of the charges which show "taxes and fees." When I tried to ask them about the latest bill which went from $150 to 185, they told me that the latest promotion had ended, yet we received no notice and they refuse to adjust. I've had Spectrum since it was Charter and before Charter when it was something else. I've always liked them. Never had issues. Very friendly, helpful and personable reps working for them. HOWEVER....since moving to Woodland Hills, I have at least 3 service interruptions that have lasted HOURS. Hours!!!!! When I called to ask for some type of compensation, I was told I could get a $5 credit. That's $5 for the HOURS, at least 8 hours, it was off. That to me unreasonable. I would at expect at least an offer of $20 or more or 2 weeks of HBO etc. They are very cheap! read more

Forman (that's his name, although he didn't wear a name tag like the others) didn't care to mention that the six new TV boxes he gave me came without coaxial cables to connect to the wall, or the hdmi cables to connect the boxes to the tv's. Had the worse experience at this Spectrum store. Came in and waited very patiently for an hour to be helped. During that hour, I helped two elderly customers make payments on the automated machine so that they could be on their way because no one was helping them. I also helped a third customer check in. Once it was my turn to be helped (after waiting an hour) all I needed was a new SIM card and to have it installed. The first rep rudely handed me the SIM card and didn't offer to install and set it up. He wanted me to call customer service and wait another hour on the phone. A second gentleman approached me and said he couldn't help because I am not an authorized user on the account. I indicated to him that my DL address matches the address registered with the account and I also asked him to call my wife as her number is the primary on the account but he was dismissive. I was convinced I was already an authorized user. I later figured out that being an authorized user with Spectrum Internet doesn't automatically make you an authorized user on the mobile side as if I was dealing with two separate providers! Makes no sense, Spectrum! Very bad experience overall at the store and with the carrier. read more

I called Spectrum before going into the store. The customer service rep assured me she'd left a "note" on the account detailing my issue and they could assist me at this location. The associate was curt, handed me a card with a SIM card attached and told me I could call 661 to set it up. My entire issue was I couldn't use the phone without wifi. So I would have to drive back home, call spectrum and set up. I repeated that back to him because it didn't make sense. I had waited 20 minutes in the Spectrum store for him to tell me to go home and call Spectrum. He insisted he couldn't do it. I recently went to the Spectrum store in Porter Ranch, CA to pick up and swap out equipment. What should have been a smooth visit turned out to be a chain of events that ended with the worst customer service I have ever experienced from the store manager "Farman". I checked in after entering the store, there were 6 people ahead of me, I see four reps, I'm thinking this shouldn't take long. After waiting almost 45mins, four customers before me left frustrated because it was taking too long get help. With 4 customer service members in the store, only 2 were actually helping customers. I asked the manager why he or the other rep weren't helping anyone. Expressing arrogance he replied "they (customers) have to wait." So I asked him why he wasn't assisting anyone, he said "it's not my job." I then asked "seeing people frustrated and leave your store, does that not make you feel like maybe you should jump in and help the line move faster?" he replied "No, they have to wait" I told him this is not good customer service, he said "I don't care." Note: when I first checked in, he was behind the desk helping a customer with another rep behind him. After he was done with that customer, he walked away, and shadowed the other reps while watching customers walk out. I think a manager should have good problem-solving skills, be a leader, maintain good customer relationships and provide excellent customer service which is the opposite of what I experienced. Three stars for the location overall service of previous representatives and 5 stars for the representative Ivan. He resolved my issue of my phone not working by sending out a technician. I was having an issue with my phone service from Spectrum. I came here to sign up service and the representative I signed up with told me the service should be an easy service to set up myself. I tried setting up the service myself numerous times and it did not work. I came to this location multiple times and was refused to have a technician sent to my house because this is an "easy set up". Ivan was very shocked when I told him I was refused service of having a tech sent to my house. He immediately scheduled a technician to my house. The technician found the issue to be in the street wiring. Spectrum needs more representatives like Ivan, he is very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. read more

You would not believe what happened with my Spectrum business phone line. It has been a nightmare for me. All I asked to transfer my business landline to a mobile one since I moved to a different location but wanted to continue using the same phone number. It has been TWO MONTHS and I still have no phone available to receive or make phone calls. If you have a choice save yourself aggravation and prevent your business from losing clients and revenue as a consequence of Spectrum's inability to provide your business needs with simple transitions. The company promises a lot, but they breaking the promise thelp you running your business using their service. Customer service reps are absolutely undertrained and do not know what they are doing. Moreove they screw up every step of the way in any small transition, such land line to a mobile line. STAY AWAY from Business Spectrum if you can. I wasn't offered any information about the phone. Just do I want to order it or not & what color would I like. I tried to make small talk & asked him what he thought about the phones & if he had an iPhone. He said no he has an android. I decided to do research on my own & went ahead & ordered it.
