Spectrum is the absolute worst! I believe their claim to be 99.9% reliable is a ridiculous lie. The service seems like it's always out. It prevented me from working online during the Covid shelter in place order. It was out on New Years Eve. It's out again tonight. Jay-Z should have rapped, "I got 99 problems and Spectrum is every one." Thankfully, when I called tonight, I got a $10 credit for our troubles. I was told online that I could go to the local Spectrum store (Rinaldi) and they could transfer my contacts and apps etc. from my old phone to my new Spectrum provided phone. However when I got to the Rinaldi Store the employee said they "didn't have the tools" to do that. He said they could only "activate" the new phone. He said I would have to find a youtube explaining how to transfer from my old phone to "sim Card?" and something about the cloud etc. etc. Sure! That's why I went there to see if they would have the courtesy to do it for us. Anyway, I give them very low grades for their inability to help new customers!! read more

The internet has been gone 4 times in the past week. This has been a problem any time , any where in the entire country from LA all the way to NY . The internet literally suffers an outage , lasting 1/2 to 1 full day every single solitary time there is a cloud on the sky or a single drop of water . Walked in, and I believed they just opened. There was no line & everything was safe and friendly! Was super happy to see that there was no line mainly because the closest one to me in Chatsworth was always a long wait and now they happened to be closed! But I highly recommend coming in here because the people are extremely nice and it was super easy to drop off my old WiFi box and pick up a new WiFi box! I believe Ivan helped me out and the service provided was exceptionally great! My WiFi is working perfectly, and everything is going smooth with my new box! Super grateful to the team here! Business fails on every level. Called to buy streaming service. I wanted to watch Dodger games and Spectrum carries SportsNetLA. Takes almost an hour on the phone with employee. I'm an existing internet customer and jumped through a dozen hoops. Lameness prevails. Asked for list of the 15 channels I can add and told there isn't one. There are few company's I hate as much as spectrum. They have a monopoly in the area so I can't switch providers. They raise the price whenever they feel like it to whatever amount they want. They advertise that they don't make you sign a contact as if that's a good thing. I'd rather have a contract so they can't raise my price whenever they want. We experience frequent outages for no reason at all. For the amount they charge, it's frankly, unacceptable. If it sprinkles outside, you can expect your internet to be out. I recently upgraded my Spectrum service to include cable. During my decision making process I was given many different pricing options and all were different. It seemed the cost of the service depended on the representative or the day. The last representative I spoke with advised that the first month of my cable service would be free. When I received my bill I noticed I was charged for the month. I'm on with Jason at Spectrum now. According to Jason, the month is only free if you cancel within the first 30 days of service. Jason is not interested in receiving my feedback snd abruptly put me on hold saying that he's cancelling the service as I asked. Jason ignored my comments about the mobile app and had no interest in keeping me as a customer. Spectrum has the worst customer service, and I'll be researching internet service next. I wish there was an option for 0 stars because that's the rating I would give to Spectrum. read more

Went into the store, paid my $200, and still had a past due balance of $54, the gentleman in the store said don't worry about the $54 it will be carried over onto my next bill. In the past, Spectrum had a feature that would not allow spam calls through. I called because I was getting so many SPAM calls. I was informed that that feature was taken away. Now it shows me on my TV that it's a SPAM call, rings & rings, interrupting me. I received nothing stating that I would pay more and receive less services. I HATE SPECTRUM!!! This company does not care about their customers. It is horrible because you can't even switch internet providers so you are stuck and they take advantage of that. I just had a customer service representative lie to me about an outage because I asked for a month to be credited because I've called about my slow Internet and was given the run around. I finally got a tech to come out to change my equipment and not the Internet isn't working at all. I've been paying diligently for over a year amda a half for slower than promised Internet speed and I can't even get a month, just one month of credit. Terrible customer service. We needed to return our internet modem and went to this spectrum location to return it. They refused to accept it saying that we either need to ship it through fedex (which we don't have nearby) or go to ups and unbox all of the equipment and have them ship it. I don't know if this is their usual policy or if they were just being rude to us. It's just unfortunate that during Covid we have to go to multiple places and they have to make it so difficult to return their equipment. Won't return to this location again. read more

To my horror of seeing some of the bad reviews I'm an avid Dodger Fan and instead of watching on sportsnet they have it on TBS and it's tileing no mph on pitches, god I hope we don't have to deal with this if the Dodgers continue in the post season. I've always been a gold tier customer but during the pandemic salary got reduced and Spectrum did not care they kept on raising the rate so I had to resort to just the basic services which cost me $150.00 for TV and internet and I don't even have a DVR and if you have to restart your box that takes over 10 minutes. I switched my mobile service on 2 phones from Verizon to Spectrum. Walked into this store with a reservation and was greeted by a very nice host who escorted me directly to the team member with the most skill in mobile service. He was fantastic and my iphones as well as my son's Apple Watch was ready to go within 10 minutes. I live near the Encino Spectrum store which is a total disaster. I tried the Porter Ranch store instead hoping for a better experience and they delivered! I'm going back there tomorrow for another appointment and the drive is well worth it! read more

Spectrum called me to schedule a service call because they were getting a bad reading on my internet. A tech came out on a Wed afternoon around 3:00. He checked all the connections around my house. He went into my attic to check the splitter connection. Told me everything checked out. 2 days later after running my a/c because it got hot, water was running down the wall and out the light socket into the bathroom because somehow the condensation tube was pulled out of the wall and according to the plumber I had to call at 8pm Friday night it was lying on the floor in the attic near the cable splitter. I had out of town guests that night and a grad party for my son the next day so i had no choice but to call a plumber who discovered this. After I filed a claim for the $404 i paid a plumber to put the tube back through the wall, Spectrum denied the claim twice stating the technician never went into the attic. He only went up the ladder and shined the flashlight across the house to see the connection. Total 100% BS. Then his supervisor came out and checked around the house and confirmed the splitter was on the same side as the AC tube but never went into my attic to confirm and denied the claim. Bunch of BS! I'm considering cable service, can't trust them. read more

The day I visited the Porter Ranch store it was woefully understaffed. There were two people helping two individual customers and a handful of folks waiting after having checked in with the "greeter." I had come to the store to turn in my router which had failed. I knew if failed because the Spectrum tech who came to my house diagnosed it. I simply wanted to return the faulty equipment. It wasn't worth it to me to wait so long just to turn in a piece of equipment. I didn't need a replacement, I had purchased and set up my own router. They wouldn't accept a drop-off without me talking to a representative at a window and suggested I make an appointment to return and drop it off. The manager was in the distance so I asked her if I could simply give her the router and leave. She was not helping any customers directly herself. She didn't offer to help. She wouldn't open an available window to serve me or any other customers. So I left. Npw their junk router is in the trunk of my car. read more
