Quite simply the most difficult company to do business with. They continually verify addresses and phone numbers and account numbers, yet when it comes time to service the account they can't find where you are, or go to the wrong address. I've been on the phone with them for at least four hours this morning and have yet to have them resolve our issue. Since I've had such a great experience with Spectrum for internet and TV, I thought that I would make the transition from T-Mobile to Spectrum Mobile. The service (from what I can tell) is good, but the store on Rinaldi in Porter Ranch is abysmal. It started with not selling me the correct phone as I was assured that an iPhone 12 is the equivalent to an iPhone 12 Pro, perhaps my fault as I should have know this was incorrect from the get-go. Then I came in the next day to exchange the phone as the phone that I got was overheating, freezing and glitching. I use a lot of apps for work and it's clear that the 12 doesn't support the high capacity that is needed for the use of all of these apps. Everything was smooth sailing until the system crashed / logged out the sales rep; most likely this took place because Ivan (the salesman) kept leaving his station to take calls and so forth. So when it came time to actually do the sale, the system did not allow him to complete the exchange because of the lock out due to him taking too long to do the transaction. He called the support and was informed that the lock would be removed in 24 hours - he assured me a ticket was submitted THAT NIGHT. I was annoyed but hey, it happens. Ivan said he would call me the following day with updates. PLURAL. I never received a call. Today, 05/05/2021, I come back to the Rinaldi store and spoke with Eri (who was the guy who originally sold me the phone) and he informed me that the account was still locked. Ivan was there making excuses as he was "waiting for his manager to tell him the status before he called me". They weren't able to do anything so I took it upon myself to call the Spectrum Mobile Customer Service line and was informed that the store had to call and get it unlocked but the store told me that they could not do it; laziness, probably. I run 4 urgent cares and HAVE TO HAVE A PHONE. Patients, doctors and nurses rely on me. The store team did not seem to care - I spoke with the Manager Alicia who pretty much brushed me off as she hit me with a "there's nothing that I can do". She promised to call me tomorrow (05/06/2021) and then she said "oh well I don't come in until 12 so it'll be late tomorrow". At this point I'm over them and their lies so I just say "ok". When it comes to Customer Service, they lack major components. Ivan shouldn't have told me that he would have called me if his plan was never to follow through. I didn't ask him, he offered. I work from home and need a reliable internet service so I can be connected to a server, emails, and zoom meetings. I was getting several short interruptions a day which caused me to get logged out of zoom meetings, company server, and email server. There is a problem with the cables outside of my house and Spectrum refused to send a tech to fix the problem. They had already changed a long cable going from the house up to the pole three years ago because the tech told me it had been chewed up by squirrels. I suspected this was the same problem again, perhaps at another cable junction, but they refused to look into it. The last two so called Spectrum representatives I spoke with were unprofessional and weren't even paying attention. I would not be surprised if they were working from home and probably playing video games or watching a movie at the same time I was on the phone. It felt good to tell Spectrum bye bye-yesterday (cancelled ALL my services, including cable TV). I was told online that I could go to the local Spectrum store (Rinaldi) and they could transfer my contacts and apps etc. from my old phone to my new Spectrum provided phone. However when I got to the Rinaldi Store the employee said they "didn't have the tools" to do that. He said they could only "activate" the new phone. He said I would have to find a youtube explaining how to transfer from my old phone to "sim Card?" and something about the cloud etc. etc. Sure! Walked in, and I believed they just opened. There was no line & everything was safe and friendly! Was super happy to see that there was no line mainly because the closest one to me in Chatsworth was always a long wait and now they happened to be closed! But I highly recommend coming in here because the people are extremely nice and it was super easy to drop off my old WiFi box and pick up a new WiFi box! There are few company's I hate as much as spectrum. They have a monopoly in the area so I can't switch providers. They raise the price whenever they feel like it to whatever amount they want. They advertise that they don't make you sign a contact as if that's a good thing. I'd rather have a contract so they can't raise my price whenever they want. I recently upgraded my Spectrum service to include cable. During my decision making process I was given many different pricing options and all were different. It seemed the cost of the service depended on the representative or the day. The last representative I spoke with advised that the first month of my cable service would be free. When I received my bill I noticed I was charged for the month. I'm on with Jason at Spectrum now. According to Jason, the month is only free if you cancel within the first 30 days of service. Jason is not interested in receiving my feedback snd abruptly put me on hold saying that he's cancelling the service as I asked. Jason ignored my comments about the mobile app and had no interest in keeping me as a customer. Spectrum has the worst customer service, and I'll be researching internet service next. In the past, Spectrum had a feature that would not allow spam calls through. I called because I was getting so many SPAM calls. I was informed that that feature was taken away. This company does not care about their customers. It is horrible because you can't even switch internet providers so you are stuck and they take advantage of that. I just had a customer service representative lie to me about an outage because I asked for a month to be credited because I've called about my slow Internet and was given the run around. I finally got a tech to come out to change my equipment and not the Internet isn't working at all. I've been paying diligently for over a year amda a half for slower than promised Internet speed and I can't even get a month, just one month of credit. Terrible customer service. We needed to return our internet modem and went to this spectrum location to return it. They refused to accept it saying that we either need to ship it through fedex (which we don't have nearby) or go to ups and unbox all of the equipment and have them ship it. I don't know if this is their usual policy or if they were just being rude to us. To my horror of seeing some of the bad reviews I'm an avid Dodger Fan and instead of watching on sportsnet they have it on TBS and it's tileing no mph on pitches, god I hope we don't have to deal with this if the Dodgers continue in the post season. I've always been a gold tier customer but during the pandemic salary got reduced and Spectrum did not care they kept on raising the rate so I had to resort to just the basic services which cost me $150.00 for TV and internet and I don't even have a DVR and if you have to restart your box that takes over 10 minutes. Walked into this store with a reservation and was greeted by a very nice host who escorted me directly to the team member with the most skill in mobile service. He was fantastic and my iphones as well as my son's Apple Watch was ready to go within 10 minutes. I live near the Encino Spectrum store which is a total disaster. Spectrum called me to schedule a service call because they were getting a bad reading on my internet. A tech came out on a Wed afternoon around 3:00. He checked all the connections around my house. He went into my attic to check the splitter connection. Told me everything checked out. 2 days later after running my a/c because it got hot, water was running down the wall and out the light socket into the bathroom because somehow the condensation tube was pulled out of the wall and according to the plumber I had to call at 8pm Friday night it was lying on the floor in the attic near the cable splitter. I had out of town guests that night and a grad party for my son the next day so i had no choice but to call a plumber who discovered this. After I filed a claim for the $404 i paid a plumber to put the tube back through the wall, Spectrum denied the claim twice stating the technician never went into the attic. He only went up the ladder and shined the flashlight across the house to see the connection. Total 100% BS. Then his supervisor came out and checked around the house and confirmed the splitter was on the same side as the AC tube but never went into my attic to confirm and denied the claim. Bunch of BS!
