What a joke they originally gave a great price, but then kept raising it over and over again. They started out at 39 and went up to 59 then 79. Explained to them i was going to cancel and then you would drop the price anyway they said no. So I canceled and they dropped the price but I had already switched to Giggle Fiber for 39.95. never goes up great service.I could not have been happier. Over the phone customer service sent me to this location to pick up a modem. My last name did not match my ID due to my marital status. An employee said he couldn't do anything. I had all the other information with me. I called customer service and I was told the employee could check other verification. I went back to let the employee customer service issue a ticket to change my last name and still did not want to assist me after he had seen the change. The representative on the phone apologize for the inconvenience because the employee had access but did not want to help. The representative was able to help me and send the item for next-day delivery. Should have done that from my home instead of wasting time. read more

I just went to the Pasadena store to add a mobile line. Was bit worried cause of all the negative reviews but the whole process was surprisingly smooth. I checked in via phone upon arrival. There were about 6 to 7 people there waiting but I was the only one with the appointment. My name was immediately called. Rep named Aaron helped me with the mobile line setup and also helped me with the the phone upgrade and data transferred from old phone to the new phone. He was very polite and patient and answered all my questions. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. I am impressed. read more

The wifi is fast when you first get it, slows down later. Buffering issues. Goes out during every storm. Was able to get fiber internet in my area, so I cancelled. I used it for two days into the billing cycle and they charged me for the whole month. $87 for two days usage. read more

No name tags so I couldn't name them, kept on telling people to sign in as he did no work and sat behind a computer, both of them. The lady and another big guy were the only one's actually working, once 5 came around they got their stuff and left as fast as they could. My assumption is they keep it slow so people fill the area making it look busy, and since some people are actually busy makes them come back to fill the WAITING room more. There are two Spectrum stores close to me. I have been to both and this is my store of choice. I found the other location to be pretty awful. Here, I love the consistently personable, professional and efficient staff. Went in today to return some equipment and was warmly greeted by the two men behind the counter. I had a scheduled appointment and was promptly called when I checked in. Ryan, the Store Manager assisted me with my transaction. My goodness! He's so kind. The transaction was seamless and fast. I probably wasn't in the store for more than 10-15 minutes. Walked out informed and smiling from the impeccable customer service here. Good job, guys!!! read more

First of all, I am not certain as to where this correspondence should go, because I always communicate with the Spectrum company online. Spectrum is one of the most cold, cruel, and ultra greedy companies ever, @ $300 + a month, yes $300 + a FREAKING MONTH!!! Back during the Covid shutdown, Most companies, that charge you for whatever, be it your rent, utilities, etc gave you some sort of financial break, or not paying at all until a later date, via the government mandate, but NO, not Spectrum. Due to the lockdown, I was broke at the time, seeking work, and needed the internet to survive, communicate, and most importantly FIND WORK. And yet, and still, they were charging me the full premium price, & constantly calling EVERY SINGLE DAY, to harass me, & threaten to send my account to a collection agency. It was an extremely stressful experience. I don't really need cable tv at all, but I absolutely need the internet, however their ridiculous prices are not much different either way. I saw some ads for something like $79 per month bundle, I called them about this and it was a deal for new customers only. That's how they hook you, maybe 6 months of a reasonable deal, then back up to $300 + a month. These oppressive corporations make you hope for a nuke, zombie apocalypse, or the Rapture to come wipe everything out, take us away, & make all money irrelevant. Unreal Damn! They could absolutely charge a lower, fair, consistent price, & still make a profit, but no, instead they will continue to overcharge us. YE$ they are evil, and greedy, but hang in there y'all POWER TO THE PEOPLE ! We will eventually wake up, unite, and strike one day, and cancel our accounts ALL AT ONCE! DO NOT. USE. SPECTRUM. Are you one of those people who loves paying way too much to get about 10% of what you thought you were buying? Do you adore the customer service runaround of "oh, that's going to be xyz department, I can't help you with that but I can transfer you"? And does it just tickle you to learn that after a month of NOT USING A SERVICE BUT STILL BEING CHARGED, a company "simply doesn't do refunds, we do credits but since you are discontinuing our service there's nothing I can do"??? Then, I guess maybe go with Spectrum. I've paid $75/mo for speeds "up to 400mbps" for over a year now. Don't miss that sneaky "up to" - Spectrum sure won't. Over the past year, my speeds have been an average of about 20mbps. On a good day, off peak hours, maybe I'd score 46. More often than not though, I'd be working with a pathetic 7.99mbps or even 1.55mbps! This is with a modem reset, sitting on the couch literally three feet away from the modem/router. Anyway, I finally got a new internet provider. Service was hooked up, and my Spectrum equipment disconnected, on May 24th. I noticed an autopay charge on my account for June, and it turns out my roommate hadn't called in to cancel the service. I figured I'll call and explain, since I'm barely a day past the bill cycle date and you can see on my account that there has been no usage or activity since before the end of the billing period. I end up spending a couple hours trying to navigate all the customer service nonsense just to be told that Spectrum does not give refunds and would not give me the money back for the unused month of service. I tried everything, even pointing out that for well over a year I'd been getting less than 10% of the service I was paying for while they'd been getting 100% of my money (!!), and explained that I wasn't even trying to get into any of that, I just wanted my money back for the month of service I NEVER EVEN USED. Customer service rep told me that the billing cycle was from 5/28-6/27. My equipment and everything had been completely disconnected since 5/24. Are you serious, Spectrum? Worst service from a company I have ever experienced. Summary: Don't get Spectrum. If there's literally any other internet provider in your area, including dial-up, go with that. And if Spectrum is the only one in your area, move. You'll thank me later. read more

Finally dropped cable service from this fascist company. Went there two weeks ago to drop off the obligatory black box. After standing for 15 minutes, one of the clerks told me I needed to sign in. I left the box with a stickie note that contained my account number. They were yelling for me to come back for a receipt. Came back yesterday to drop off black box #2. I was told upon arrival to sign in. I made up a name because i didn't want my full real name to be posted on a flat screen on both sides of that place. I like my privacy and that's not how you offer it to people. Now if only my Internet could be had elsewhere I'd go for it! So much for the illegal presence of monopolies. read more

I had several opportunities to spend time at this Spectrum office as I've made some changes in my coverage. I am so very impressed with the consultants that I've met. I have never had representatives treat me as well, and shown such an interest in what I need. In my second visit I was assisted by a very competent, very accommodating woman, Amanda, who couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. They store was very nice and clean ! Easily was able to check in and have a seat to wait ! Hand sanitizer available as well due to Rona !! Employees wearing mask as well and social distancing marked and or enforced , not that was really needed was pretty empty and i was helped with in 2 min of checking in . I returned my deceased brother's equipment two weeks ago. I waited an hour in line to do so when I was told they don't take returning equipment. I have to go to a UPS. I told them my brother died. They said come back with the death certificate. They need proof. Why would anyone want to stand in line for an hour so they can lie about their brother dying? I came back with the death certificate (which takes 2 weeks to get btw.) They told me they had not closed the account when I notified them two weeks prior. Then they told me I had to call Customer Service and ask for Retention. I was put on hold for 20 min. Hung up, and called back twice. Finally got a live representative, who told me there would be no refund. How to improve horrible service: 1. Put a big sign on the door saying: RETURNING EQUIPMENT. WE DON'T DO THAT. TAKE IT TO UPS 2. Take a person's word that their loved one has died. No one in their right mind wants to stand in line to be told they don't believe you. 3. Don't make people jump through 4 hoops because they no longer need your service. 4. Dead people don't surf the internet. They surf the universe. 100% agree with all the 1-star reviews! I spent more than 2 hrs today trying to CANCEL my Spectrum service and return my cable boxes to this store. To be fair, I don't believe the individual people who work at this store or on the phone are to blame. They are part of the larger organizational Spectrum malaise. It started with me calling the 833-267-6094 yesterday to try to initiate the cancellation. After punching my way through a maze of menu options, I finally got a human being, who then transferred me to the "right department" -- where I received a message that they were closed for the day, and to call back tomorrow. First 15 minutes wasted. This morning, I decided to try to call the 855-707-7328 billing support number that was listed on my bill instead. Again, after a maze of menu options and being transferred by two different people, I was on hold for more than 40 minutes and finally had to hang up because I had a meeting. Another 40 minutes wasted. Later in the day, I called the 833-267-6094 number again on my commute home. After being on hold for more than 25 minutes, I decided to physically head over to the Spectrum store in Hastings Ranch with my cable boxes in tow to try to take care of the situation in person. In the store, I was #5 in line. After 15 minutes in the store, someone finally answered me on the phone (that is 40 minutes into my hold time on the phone). As I tried to cancel my Spectrum service, she instead tried to upsell me on other services and a promise of a credit for my interrupted service due to the Disney debacle. By then I'd had it, and just wanted to be rid of my cable boxes and Spectrum forever. She disconnected my service but told me that I could not receive a refund for the interrupted service and the remaining 7 days on my billing cycle. So basically they pocketed $75 of of my money. (I guess it's not that much given the tens of thousands of dollars I've given Spectrum over the years...) Then, I had to wait another 30 min in store to return my cable boxes and remotes. At this point there were 12 people in line at the Spectrum store and people were starting to get angry with the staff for the wait and for them serving people out of order. I was finally able to return my cable boxes after basically 1 hour waiting in the store. I've been an unhappy Spectrum customer for more than 10 years now. (Maybe closer to 20??) Always hated the way Spectrum treats its customers, but felt trapped. Hated it for internet -- until I found Giggle Fiber, which I've been a happy customer for about 3 years now. Hated it for TV too -- but had to stick with it because my husband wanted to watch live sports on cable. But with the recent Disney/ESPN blockage, he switched to Fubo and is totally satisfied. This place - the Hastings Ranch location in east Pasadena, Ca - is without question the worst cell phone store on the planet. I could not believe what I witnessed while there. The employees are slow, incompetent, uneducated, and downright rude to customers. The level of communication skills that all four employees possessed was at a third grade level. Customers were shaking their heads in astonishment. A few were chuckling it was so pathetic. When I signed-in there were two customers ahead of me. After five minutes, I was next up in the queue. 50 minutes later- still next up! When I expressed my concern for how long it was taking - politely of course - I was met with a rude and combative response. I eventually left without being helped after wasting over an hour of my life. It is quite ironic as I was there to expand my service. Well no no no, not anymore. I have now decided to take my old cell phone company back as they have been inundating me with mailers and e-mail promotions. Really really bad and distasteful service, the 2 staff members-Brian needs to get some additional training or work in a field that does not require face to face interaction with customers. The other lady needs to work in a correctional facility. Spectrum, for as much money as you all take in, it wouldn't be a bad idea to employ employees who are properly trained not only in customer service but actually train them on your own services. Four star customer service at this location (and one star for the Spectrum monopoly in the Rose City). Stopped in here the other day to pickup a new cable modem. The local office here was clean, cool and staffed with friendly employees. No complaints there. Again, the rating here is for the local office and not the service. The only thing I would change is that they should fix the iPad checkin to speed up the process because it lengthened the wait times. read more

This store is very clean and gives faster service. Staff there are very courteous. Recently we came in to exchange the new cable boxes. The new cable box was not as good as the older one. There are no time or channel showing on the box which make it harder for us to record or knowing what channel we are watching. Ever since we changed to the new box, it started having problem with the TV. Such as pulsing the TV, pixelation etc.... Overall this store is awesome. read more

I would have to wait until they helped the six customers in front of me. When I first walked in their were 5 employees working the floor. Within 10 minutes all but one had disappeared through a door at the back of the store. 10 minutes later it was still just 1 employee and 5 of us still waiting. I left. Decided to take the equipment to this local store. 15 people were waiting and they had 4 available employees chit chatting. Most of the costumers were there to cancel their service.
