I am so upset about the service experience with Spectrum mobile. They offered a great deal for the new iPhone 14 pro and sent me a new device about 1 week after I originally ordered. I received the phone and attempted to activate it with Spectrum over the phone 2 times. Not once did they notify me that I needed to do something on my end to transfer from Verizon to Spectrum mobile, so I'm over here trying to activate it and they're sending me in circles. FInally, I go to Verizon and they say they can't transfer because I am under a business account. I changed my mind and wanted to return the phone. Spectrum mobile said I could, but there was an error on my account, so call back the next day. I proceeded to call back and they said I can no longer return the device because I am outside my 14 day time period. Now I have to pay Spectrum for this device I can't use or drop my company service and pay more on my phone bill. Regardless, I am out $1000 and Spectrum makes money off of me no matter what. I am furious with their miscommunication, their service, and I do not want to use Spectrum mobile, and I do not recommend them to anyone. SIM cards mailed to a bogus address, over a dozen phone calls with customer service and two visits to Spectrum stores where NO ONE including the store manager cared enough to fix the mess they created. The advantages with Spectrum Mobile are several. Comparing it to other mobile services it's the best. Why then? You might ask. First there is an extended grace period when you're late paying the bill. Also, with unlimited, they'll send you a message after you have reached 20 GB that your service will be slower. This is not true because I have had to use my hotspot a lot, and there is no limit. So far have used 130 GB! But my phone is not slow, only for uploads. I travel a lot up through montains and in remote areas, and the coverage is great. read more

I am very upset with Spectrum! I called and set up a new mobile phone line and I was supposed to be trading in my old phone. New phone arrived, got it set up, and I went to call about how to send my old phone in for trade in and my order wasn't put in as a trade in, even though we discussed it! I am now out several hundred dollars and they won't do a thing to fix it! All they did was a $25 credit after I asked if they couldn't credit it. So far the service has been fine and tech support has been available for any questions we have had. Our service was with Verizon before, and even though the basic network is the same for Spectrum, we have had fewer dropped calls and issues since we switched. About a year ago I was sent to collections for a balence that I didn't know I was being charged for. A few years ago I financed an iPhone and had 1 line. I ended up canceling the plan and I was told that I could either pay off the phone monthly or pay it in full but I didn't have to pay the line anymore. After that I paid it monthly for a few months and then I paid it off in full on their website. I waited a few days and called to unlocked and was told that they wouldn't unlock the phone because I still had pending balance owed from the plan. I told them that I canceled the line but they said I didnt. I didnt even have a phone number. i said they had to unlock it because I paid the phone already. they ended up unlocking the phone but a year ago collections sent me a notice that I owed almost $1000. read more

International service gets negative stars due to zero phone service or data. Customer support gets negative stars (eventhough some reps were nice, they were unable to help) I don't have the patience after at least 15 hours on the phone with "support" over the last 2 weeks to write a thorough review. But I'll try. In June I got suckered into switching from Verizon to Spectrum because of the much lower price (true) and the claim that they use Verizon towers (not sure if this is true but I know the service is NOT the same). Like most upset Spectrum customers, I've had Verizon for decades, since my first cell phone ever. I always bragged about how great their service was. I have traveled extensively with Verizon, around the U.S. and around the world and have always had voice, text and data. This month we traveled to Chile. I called Spectrum and spoke to a very nice tech support person (Spectrum calls it "repair") for an extensive amount of time who assured me we were all set to travel, that all our phones would work. Fast forward to Chile...one phone could make calls, text, and VERY limited data, one phone could call, text but no data, and one phone could text only and receive calls, but could not make calls. All 3 of us on iphones, all 3 of us together, and all 3 followed the same process to set them up to work. We separated in travel, and the 2 of us with no data and only limited calling/texting were left together and were beyond inconvenienced! We had no car and were traveling by bus/backpack through a country just ravaged by storms with roads closed, transportation delays, etc. After multiple calls and no success, hours on the line with Spectrum, we texted our son in the U.S. who is far more proficient that the Spectrum support. Over the next several days he had to call Spectrum and once he would get through to support, he would have to 3 way call them to connect them to our phone that could receive calls. During one attempt at help, the "repair" at person at Spectrum DELETED MY ESIM, immediately dropping my call to him and rendering my phone that up until then could at least could call and text completely dead and useless. We were now left with one phone that could text, receive calls but not send calls. We spent hours and hours overs days trying to get service. I couldn't even add a Chilean sim card to get data in Chile because my iphone was locked. Spectrum refused to unlock it so I literally paid the remaining balance of over $700 over the phone so they would unlock it so I could at least buy a sim card and pay for data using a Chilean phone number no one know meaning I could not be reached. It was a nightmare. Upon my return it took another 1 hour and 2 minutes to get my esim reactivated and I finally got transferred to a supervisor who was NOT helpful in any way. And no calls or messages sent to my number appeared once I got reconnected so I lost any calls or messages that were personal or work related for the entire time I was gone. There is no way to measure what that cost me. In the end, she agreed to a $29.99 credit. Don't get suckered. read more

Bri greeted me right away and got me in and out with my new router in literally 5 minutes. She told me about to specials and saved me some money on my package. spectrum has the worst mobile service. I bought a phone for my my elderly mom. it has not worked well since I bought it. The service is horrible and not she can not access her contacts and spectrum told me to contact Motorola because there is a warranty on the phone so I contacted Motorola and they wanted me to take it to a local repair shop which I took it to and was told that they could not fix it because it had no physical damage only technical damage. I mailed the phone into Motorola which I had to pay for the box and now they're telling me that the camera is broken and because the camera is broken and they can't fix the technical damage. i wish I could give 0 stars! i had to file a complaint with the BBB because Spectrum Mobiles incompetence has cost me a lot of money. i bought a new phone over a week ago and called Spectrum to ask about a SIM card for the new phone as I wanted to keep my phone number. For whatever reason the lady put a new phone number to the new phone so I am being billed for two lines. I have spent the last week on the phone with Spectrum mobile and going into the store and it still has not been fixed. If I could leave a negative star, I would. I attempted to switch to Spectrum mobile. The activation and number transfer process was a nightmare! After 24 hours, it never happened. Then the brand new device powered off and would not come back on. I returned to Spectrum and tracking, as well as their own admission, proves they received it December 9. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing, and to this day, they still have not issued me a refund. MY PATIENCE HAS RUN OUT!!!!! It has supposedly been escalated to supervisor on 1/16/23. I was told if I had not hear from them within 72 hours, to call back and they would manually force my refund. So I waited until today, which was 96 hours. NOTHING!!!!! I purchased a new specturm mobile plan and had a Google Pixel 7a shipped to me. I've never had an Android and I've never used Spectrum for mobile services before. The phone arrived with 2 day shipping. I was trying to transfer my cell number from Verizon Business. Additionally, I was traveling for one week. It took me several days plus the Memorial Day holiday. Verizon Business had some issues on unlocking the number. After trying for several days, I had to stay with Verizon to keep my number. Exactly 14 days after I received the phone, I called to return it. They declined because they count from the day shipped (and they only add 2 day shipping). Summary: The return policy is actually 12 days not 14 and they don't care about holidays or weekends. Really terrible experience. I recently went to Spectrum Store to switch my service to my sisters account on Spectrum. The customer service person appeared to be well knowledgeable and replaced my SIM card with theirs and said my phone number would be ported in 30 minutes. After numerous daily calls my number was ported 6 days later. I then again visited the Spectrum Store to update my phone. I told them I was on my sisters account and gave them her phone number which they said was not a good one. They also said my sister had to put me on her account as an authorized User. They would not accept her phone number, address and account security code. They said she had to call them. I decided to keep my old phone and save myself $800. read more

Spectrum sales, added as an "error" a new line and device into my current account. i was transferred 14 times to different associates, trying to fix the account and activate the new device. I contacted my carrier spectrum mobile service at their 800 number today to possibly see about removing some data from my ipad i financed through spectrum. I was transferred to a rep named Wanda who attempted to assist me. From the beginning of the call her tone in the conversation was completely off, quite condescending. Wanda informed me that I would be unable to remove the data plan off my ipad which is fine, however she informed me i signed a consent care form. I kindly asked if I may be provided with this form for my own reference. She rudely informed me it would be in my email and that they ''do not save signed forms''. I am lost as to why such a large company would not save this important information... As I proceeded to inquire if I may request my signed document, she stated that spectrum does not save any signed forms. Which is nonsense... I then asked if there was someone there or in a different department that may be able to better assist me. Wanda stated no she was the only one who can assist. She continuously cut me off and was very unsympathetic. I asked if there was a supervisor available and before I was able to finish speaking, she put me on hold before saying its a 30-minute hold.. Im not sure if spectrum as a company is not providing adequate training for these CSRS but now due to this inconvenience I am rethinking continuing service with the company if this is how I will be treated, and this is what Spectrum represent. read more

I wanted to give Spectrum mobile a try here in Apple Valley, CA so I switched from TMobile. Big mistake. My phone was fine and I had no problem with reception. Spectrum mobile said if I sent them my phone they'd give me $103 dollars credit toward a new one. Now they are reneging. So, NOW I will have two phones, poor reception (drops, audio goes out, on almost every call of any length of time) PLUS, zippo value offered for my phone I had to go through the hassle of sending to them. As soon as I'm able, I'm outta here and don't recommend them to anyone in my area and don't ever believe any phone company when they say they will give you a credit for your phone, Customer service people are all very nice but wait time is very long. read more

They're sneaky. We recently terminated our service with them because we were not getting adequate coverage in our area. Calls would spontaneously drop, it was difficult to get any service so we found a new provider six days before our bill for the upcoming month so we could end our coverage. Upon speaking to representatives they tried to entice us with offers to remain but the simple matter is, we were not getting adequate service. Upon speaking to representatives they tried to spew more enticements upon us staying but we disagreed. When service was disconnected and lines transferred over they some how managed to maintain service upon one line. With that phone it was not connected to the Spectrum network, phone number has been transferred over to new carrier before date of new billing cycle. I thought all was complete until I received a bill on my bank card for new cycle of monthly charges. I called to inquire stating all lines have been transferred over to a new company before cycle completion time, they told me there was still a line on the account. I'm baffled because that line is now in association with the new carrier and upon initial conversation I was told this would not occur. They did not offer management but bantered on about adverse reality. I inquired if there would be any further billing? They told me next month for one line will be billed to me. I have left the previous billing cycle, you're charging me for current and plan to charge me for the next? All phones are paid off in full, we made you aware of our leaving before the end of the current billing cycle but to charge for two up coming? That is quite deceptive. If you are with them be weary and look into other companies, my current I pay a third with better quality service with much better speed along with consistent high quality customer service. Best wishes to all and be aware even with phone number change they WILL claim to be the service provider while not preforming any task. I transferred to Spectrum Mobile from another carrier. I have my granddaughter on my plan. First, they had my cell phone cut off before they sent me a sim card so I was without a phone for 2 days. Then I called them about my granddaughter's line and they said she did not need a sim card and now they are having a problem initiating her phone. Also phone they sold me is no good and it is past the 14 days - that I was not told about - and they will not take it back. This is the worst cell phone experience of my life. After 90 some minutes on the phone and 4 separate verifications I have finally got a refund for the 2 months of service that they did not provide. Had to go to the forth person to get them to disconnect my service. Was told that if I took the phone back to the store where I got they would help me - took it the store and surprise they DID NOT HELP ME! They keep sending me emails about upgrades that I qualify for, because I'm a loyal customer. I call about them, then they tell me that I don't qualify because I'm already a customer. That doesn't make them seem too loyal, or intelligent. The service itself is okay, I guess, though overpriced. You have to use autopay, which I don't like doing. I've been using them for a long time, but I don't like the bait and switch spam they've decided to try out on me. This company is a little too big to feel comfortable trying to scam their customers. Do not ever sign up for spectrum Mobil phone service. They will offer you a Galaxy Tablet for $199.00 and free one year phone service. You can buy this tablet for $125.00 any store. You cannot return it to your nearest Spectrum store but have to mail it back and they charge restocking $50.00 for no reason. You cannot even look at it. That is a scam, be very careful. They know how to talk and get you. They will send this device to another customer and get $199.00 if they keep it because it hasn't even touched. They are very good in bundling to make you fall in to there pit. Offers are very attractive but once you singed up for it there is no way you can get out of it. They increase prices and you are stuck. They don't have contracts but they know how to get you. Be very careful when they offer things you do not need. There is always a catch and they win. They charged my credit card with out getting my consent for the balance of $50.00. That is a scam to my knowledge nothing else. read more

What spectrum has to offer is impressive, a lot of channel choices for less than what is available from Frontier ... but: There is a GIANT problem with pixelization on random channels (we can never tell which channel will turn funny, one day its one and then the next day it is another) and I am convinced (turning in my third remote in two months) that someone or a group of people within the organization got "kick backs" to purchase the remote control. If we switch back to Frontier, it will be because of this awful remote control: Doesn't fully function with our home theater system, barely works with our TV (we have to turn the TV on/off/ and back on again to get it to work) and has this weird setup when fast forwarding to just switch to some random channel and the "back" or "return" button does not work and you have to surf to get back to the channel we were watching. They lie they told me our phones were compatible. They walked us through the setup and then said that they were not. My wife and I both work from home and have not had phones for 3 days. I even spoke to a lead manager she lied said she would call me back and crickets never heard from her she was going to listen to the phone call I had with the sales person who said my phones were compatible. Thinking about taking up one of the promotions from spectrum? DONT. I found an email offering buy one line and get one for free for one year. So my husband and I jumped and switched to spectrum mobile. So my husband got a phone through spectrum and hated it. So I called up customer service and asked if there a was any way he could exchange his phone for a different one in which I was assured was no problem considering I called the same day we got the phone and had a 14 day grace period to exchange. Well one thing after another I never got the confirmation on the exchange so I called back and kept getting the run around. So eventually someone in customer service labeled his phone as a return rather than an exchange and then changed his phone number and charged him for it. Well finally the new phone comes and we send the first one back and after 2 weeks is able to get his phone number back which was needed for work purposes. So a couple weeks pass and everything going fine and my husband comes home from work to inform me that his phone wasn't working. I checked to make sure we were all paid up and we were and then called customer service for what feels like the 100th time at this point just to be informed that they switched him back to the "temporary number' and that a third line was added to our account. So after getting that sorted out I notice on our bill that we were being charged from both line even though we weren't supposed to be charged for another 11 months. So I get on the phone with customer service AGAIN and someone tells me that they'll open up a case for us to get this resolved and never heard anything back. So on our next bill I see that were still being charged so I call AGAIN just to be told that since some costumer service representative labeled my husband exchange as a return that we were no longer in eligible for the promotion. Needless to to say I then said what do I need to do to just switch to another carrier and then I was informed that we need to pay off (without being able to return) both our found that we had just bought in order to switch. Don't be like us and be fooled by the cheaper phone bill. Its not worth it. read more
