I have been without Internet service for 17 days. i can't get the right type of fix. the service to the Box at the street is broken. I have had 3 techs out to drop a new line to my house from the street, no matter how many times the tech shows that the problem is before that line they keep sending the same bs. Today i get a message that they have done a few things and i should be able to reset the fiber connection in the garage. knowing that it would not work, i did the reset. I have a tech coming out tomorrow. and i am sure that they will leave saying the same thing, it is in the connection before your line, there is nothing that i can do. If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. Frontier is only available Monday through Friday. The customer service is horrible. They're claiming that they will not give me my prorated money back even though I only use 10 days of their service. I need to cancel my service and yet they still say they can't do it. I was a customer in Huntington Beach for many years. There was apparently something wrong with my cabling. When the signal worked, the speeds were fine but it would cut out constantly. I tried for over a year to get a service tech out, and their customer service just tried to upsell me on additional modems which I didn't need for my small home and limited users. I finally switched to Spectrum which involved having to trench a cable but all my internet issues are now gone. Wish I had done it years ago!! read more

Someone came out after 4 days and said the problem was with the line on the pole outside and they needed to get their contractor to come out and fix it. They left. Heard nothing from them by Monday so called them again. Was told there was a ticket out there, unbeknownst to us, for JULY 6th!!!! 2 weeks from now. So they expect us to wait 2 weeks without internet and TV for a total of 3 weeks because they can't get anyone out here any sooner??!! Unacceptable!!! Home phone and internet services (Monrovia, CA) have been down since May 7, 2026 and as of June 20, 2026, there is still no service. No responses nor replies to anything and I have to rely on a Facebook group for updates. I still get billed and received one credit, but as I applied for another credit due to still having zero service, I was denied. This is truly unbelievable! We're trying to change from spectrum to frontier but it's the biggest hassle to even get someone to help us on the customer service line. They literally cannot do anything. We had an appt to set up the wire they needed to. We saw in our cameras that they didn't even try knocking on the door or even calling us if they needed help. They left and never came back and texted us saying they "ran into and issue" after hours. We tried calling the number but couldn't even leave a voicemail. This is the worst. Stay away. read more

Tech came out and the prework was not done. They spray painted my yard and side walk but didn't even lay the tube needed. Tech told me they have to come out lay the tube needed, the original ticket was closed as completed. So the tech would have to make a new one. When I talked to customer service they hung up on me, the next service agent when asked to speak to a manager gave me a phone number to call which ended up being a number to another phone company not a manager! Explored having frontier at my new home (used to have Spectrum) to save $10-20 bucks a month for a year. DONT DO IT! I should have checked their ratings here before I explored it. I have literally been trying to get service for two weeks! I work from home so it has been a horrible experience. Once they set it up it was spotty and didn't work at all tech came couldn't fix said they would reach out never did had to call them several times and they set up a tech and he couldn't fix it either then I scheduled one last appt and they never showed!!!!!! Pissed is an understatement what an unprofessional company (I even called the night before and a rep confirmed the appt. Bec I couldn't see it on my app) ...spent an hour on the phone with them today to CANCEL! Kept getting sent to other departments and finally the last person i talked to was polite and took care of everything. Will never trust this company again or Verizon (part of Verizon). Please save urself a headache! Oh and I have to pay a $50 restocking fee...fine whatever (never had service but ok whatever) and ALSO $100 cancelation fee for ending the service before a year! So, according to the response from my previous Yelp review for Frontier, customer service is available and ready to help. I find this particularly sad when there is no phone number, or easy access this "so-called" customer service offers. Plenty of words, but no action. I have now spoken with technical support 5 separate times, had 3 different appointments that no one showed up for, and promises that "someone is in our area" to fix our issue. The phone customer service is kind and tries to be helpful but there's a missing link of communication. Wrong addresses, no show appointments. It has now been over a month since we began this process. Does Yelp now offer negative stars? I would definitely go for that option. I was very fortunate to have Frontier Associate Kay assist me today. Kay was helpful in getting me a wheelchair. Also had a problem a ticket purchase and she showed me what I needed to do and also wrote it down for me. I truly appreciate Great Customer Service. I had a long layover so I chose to visit the Brewery @ Ontario International Airport and Kiki made a suggestion that I try the Garlic Parmesan Fries and really they are delicious. Also meet a great manager Ms Sadie and she has the best smile and very personable and provided Excellent Customer Service .. and I would recommend this location to others. read more

Seal Beach Zip 90740 area. Not for the faint of heart or technically challenged. Install took 2 weeks to get it working. They just went into Seal Beach, CA with their new 7gbps offering. They're not responsive yet, and their service sucks right now, they're just not prepared or staffed properly to get it up quickly and reliably at this time. The Eero Pro router is the worst on the market. Only good for penetrating one wall in WiFi mode. It lacks adequate antennas/beam forming. WiFi Service is good for one room. If you want better wifi, use an Asus Router- side-by-side my old 5mhz Asus router ax89x works better and has better QOS for tv. Overall, if you need 7gbps like I do, and you want to do that wired from the eero, you'll be ok. Otherwise you need to buy a better WiFi router to pair with this service unless you live in a 1 room apartment. See Dong Knows Tech for reviews on WiFi7 routers to pair with this service. You'll have to buy it yourself (eero router comes with the service). Frontier is very price competitive with Spectrum. read more

After everything I said in my review, all Frontier comments on is the $50 restocking fee. I don't think they really cared what I had to say about my experience or understood their representatives don't know the area code for where to call for damages the tech made to my wall. They think the country code 001 is the same as the area code. Do not switch to this place! I got 2G and have had terrible service in just 2 months. I had constant outages and turtle slow download speeds. They are not cheaper. With my previous provider, I had service on all parts of my property. To have service in my garage. They gave me another router for a 2 bar connection that costs $10 extra. The router has 2 ports? Every time I checked my cameras, they were offline. The tech installed the modem and router in my water heater closet by the ceiling that I can't reach. I've been told 3 different ways of how I have to return my equipment with a $50 restocking fee. It's going to take me at least an hour to get it out of the wall and closet and I have to pay a restocking fee! I was told someone would come uninstall it. Not true! I was told no early termination fee.. not true. Best yet, I was told they'll pay for the damage to my drywall and the phone number they provided to call was 001-305-6163. I kept telling the chat support that I needed an area code and that 001 is a country code. They didn't understand or have an answer. Kept saying 001 is the area code. I went to my previous provider, have full coverage and no ongoing disconnects for $20 less per month. Save yourself the headache! Never again! read more

I regret changing internet providers to frontier. My previous provider always paid attention to my needs unlike fronteir. Fronteir does the very minimum to help the customer out. I have been with no internet about a week and a half. I called twice to follow up and all they tell me that I need to wait. Since there is a contract in place they don't care if the issue is fixed or not. The customer just needs to wait whenever they are available or paid the penalties in the contract when trying to cancel. I will be cancelling after the contract ends. read more

The internet keeps slowing down from my 1 gb plan. Connections keep getting dropped!!!!

We canceled our service due to having to change our streaming services to Spectrum. They offered to include wifi and even our T- mobile service. We asked they cancel our auto pay, since we had already set the wifi with spectrum, and the Frontier customer service rep told us we would get a paper bill for 74.98 and 50.00 for some technical fee. Then they turned around and charged our bank 74.98. We called immediately and we were told to call collections to get it reversed. We were told it would take 3 to 5 working days. When didn't happen, we called again and we were told that for some reason the next step of the reversal hadn't processed. It's been 3 more days. I called today, and that customer service rep said that the 74.98 would not be reversed and we would get a paper bill for 50.00. Of course I lost my s...t. I'm on a fixed income, my wife just got laid off...one should get the picture. They said they would call me back. Oh. And she kept calling sir after I mentioned my wife. We are lesbians. And, I don't sound like a man. I did yell at her not to call me sir. So, needless to say, I'm feel treated badly by Frontiers customer service. read more

I know cable companies have a bad image due to poor or late service but most of the time, they do come through when needed. Not this past week. Called in to get help when the internet went out on Wednesday July 10th and was told it we couldn't have a technician come out until Friday. Okay I guess they are busy but working from home is a little hard when you don't have internet and you requested service. Friday comes and the tech shows up, of course two hours after the scheduled start time, and finds out it's a problem with the line and it has to be replaced. But he can't do that so he says he will put in a ticket. No one shows up. Now it's Sunday and the only support available is their app or calling which refers you to the app. The app tells me "good news, your tech will arrive on Friday the 12th". Yeah well that was two days ago and there's no support on the weekend. No way to address the problem and no one to talk to about it. I had service requested from your company and you failed me. What is the value of staying with you? Not to mention as I started shopping around for other providers, you offer new customers a better rate than you charge me. Nice! read more

For 3 years I've had a Technician come out every 3-5 months because my Internet goes out.. They come out do some work both inside & outside my house, it works for a little while then same thing happens again!! My Internet has been out since July 3 2024, I get a text message on July 7th saying that a Technician came to my house & worked in my front yard & found the problem & fixed it. I turned on my computer & STILL NO INTERNET!! I called back 3 different times & I finally told them to just send another Tech out & check my router. So ANOTHER tech comes out, replaced my router & still no Internet, so THANKFULLY this Technician knew what he was doing & checked my front yard box & the box directly across my street and tells me there is "good news, & bad news", the good news was he found the problem, bad news was they either have to dig up my front yard to get to the wires & if the problem isn't there then they have to wait 6 months for permits from the city to dig up the street to get to the wiring across the street!! He told me they would be here on Friday to start dig on my front yard & nobody shows up or even a phone call from Frontier to let me know what's up.. I work from my home computer & need Internet!! I am a new customer trying to get fiber to my house. I originally had my installation for Friday the 7th but the tech showed up and said the guys who installed the line did a bad job and it's not connecting. So I get on the chat to have them fix it and come Friday the 14th to finish. The second guys come and dig up my yard again but today no tech shows up. The app still shows March 7 as my appointment even though it is passed. My only option for customer service is the chat. This is horrible service for a new customer to go through. No one to actually talk to and get real time help from. I manually changed my appointment to Wednesday to give them one more chance and if they fail I will demand that they cancel this installation for good and I will stay with spectrum who has given me no problems for years, just very expensive for what I'm getting. read more

It was raised 45.99 in March 2024, then raised to 50.99 in August 2024 and now in Dec 2024 it was raised again to 69.99 a month. A total of 30.00 a month increase in a year! The WORST customer service our entire family has ever experienced! We've been customers since day 1 of Frontier's existence and we are absolutely repulsed by the way we were treated today by tech support service over the phone. We have been without TV now for 3 weeks and have called Frontier 5 times over the issue. The set top box we had burned up and died, so we called up customer service and got another one. Tried to set up the new box and after being on the phone with Frontier tech support for a few hours of arguing back and forth, it was determined that the box was defective. Had to call a whole different department to get a new set top box sent out to the house. Got the new set top box and tried to get it up and working. The box has obviously been used. It was sent out to us all dinged up, scratched, dirty and dusty! Plugged everything in and surprise, surprise, it wouldn't work! On the phone again with Frontier customer support/tech support. The tech support person we dealt with should be out of a job. He was condescending, rude, argumentative, and belligerent over the phone with us for about 2 hours! Every single thing he said to us was an outright argument. He even argued with us over whose name was on the account, yet we had the bill right in front of us that clearly showed whose name was on the account! Unplug everything, plug it all back in, turn on, turn off.......this cycle went on and on for an hour and a half! We requested multiple times to speak with someone else and the man refused. Wouldn't even transfer us to someone else to speak with. We requested multiple times to have a technician sent out to fix the problem since it was obvious their equipment was defective. He then tried to charge us $150 for a tech to be scheduled to come out to the home to fix their broken equipment! Unbelievable! Then he did something on his end which completely disabled our entire system! Phone, TV, and internet. This wiped out any devices at our home that were connected to the internet including our home security system! The man then hung up on us, and NEVER called back! So not only is our whole system now rendered useless, security cameras all over our property were not working and we had to spend hours fixing the whole system! Meanwhile the Frontier employee had everyone in the household upset, crying, and some completely irate! The Frontier employee who caused this chaos is getting paid for this behavior?! If I caused this much trouble at work, I'd get written up or fired! This was now phone call number 5 over this issue and the TV is still not working! Tomorrow another phone call will be placed to customer service to either get a technician out to fix the problem or cancel service. I refuse to continue paying over $300 a month for this joke of a service. read more
