Finally after weeks of interruption FRONTIER service tech came out after two DVR's failed neither one working so technician updated updated the Wi-Fi Internet with a new router and Eero wi-Fi extender upstairs and downstairs because the house is 3600 sq feet. Long story short the initial router was the wrong one installed so it just caused havoc with my Internet and reception it was not compatible with everything else in the residence. Had a second technician out that is more of an expert in this field with sound and visual and installed a new router that is compatible with the Wi-Fi extender and the TVs and everything else electronic. In a nutshell everything is communicating correctly with everything in the residence like it should be. I really hated being unplugged from TV but it's all up and running now. The rest of the TVs are streaming this is a 65 inch that doesn't have streaming on it yet and when the DVR goes down it mostly interrupted several TVs. So 5 TVs are back up and running. Best Buy next week for a new 65 inch streaming TV to get rid of FRONTIER/Verizon boxes. Thank you technician you know who you are! I was going to post his name but he did not want to be recognized since he had to clean up the mess from the prior 2 employees from FRONTIER which is now again Verizon because they took over in February so at some point I will have to change again to be Verizon Internet because the FRONTIER equipment won't work if I stay with them! It gets complicated but we will make it work one way or another. If y'all remember way back when it was originally Verizon then they sold their Verizon FIOS to FRONTIER and now they've obtained it back. Welcome aboard again Verizon Internet service I hope it's better until I can move away from all of it. read more

I have been without Internet service for 17 days. i can't get the right type of fix. the service to the Box at the street is broken. I have had 3 techs out to drop a new line to my house from the street, no matter how many times the tech shows that the problem is before that line they keep sending the same bs techs. Today i get a message "we've done some work on our side and results show you can resolve your serivce condition..." I pressed reset the fiber connection in the garage. knowing that it would not work, it did not work! I have a tech coming out tomorrow. and i am sure that they will leave saying the same thing, it is in the connection before your line, there is nothing that i can do. Frontier has loose, dangling, hazardous lines hanging from a Anaheim Power pole and I had 2 employees lie to me that Frontier doesn't service Anaheim, so I call the sales department at Frontier and the salesman tells me that they do service this zip code. Internet quality was great for the last two years. Now that Verizon joined it has been horrible. I left AT&T, Spectrum and Verizon for weak connections, poor quality and ridiculous high prices. All this at the same house. Then I found Frontier, wow no issues and for 109.00 a month. Like the guy on YouTube.. Ray William Johnson says Until ... Yeah Verizon joins Frontier. Now I have weak signal, YouTube is skipping, programs on tv freeze and they have the never to offer 5 gig for more money. Wow I can't say that I'm shocked at the overall 1 star rating. I am also going to be giving a definite 1 star for sale reps Ralph from the Torrance area and Tony from Chino Hills for the horrible experience to set up basic wifi when I moved to my new home. After moving in I was contacted by Ralph but I wasn't sure I wanted wifi at the time. After a month of settling in, I reached out to Ralph and inquired about their deals and packages. I spent over an hour on the phone with him and he made promises that influenced me to sign up. Those promises include $50 monthly for wifi internet, free installation, $300 in giftcards after 90 days of service as well as first month free if I enroll in auto pay. I signed up towards the end of December and before I knew it, I was already getting a bill in January that was over the agreed $50 even though I enrolled in autopay. I called back Ralph immediately and told him the issue. He told me additional charges from the bill was a wifi security charge then directed me to call a number to get that removed. I followed directions and called the number and they told me it wasn't a security charge but rather for the additional days in December that I had wifi before their cut off point for their bill cycle. I then circled back to Ralph to follow up with him promising $100 of credit because I didn't receive my first month free as promised. I contacted him for over a week with no replies. I got in touch with someone from his building and they confirmed he was in the office all week so should have gotten back. Needless to say, he was hiding so I ended up working with Tony. Tony wasn't all that better. For someone who has been working in the field for so long apparently, his communication was seriously concerning. He promised to get back to me on a definite day and didn't. When I reminded him, he emailed me stating things I already told him I knew and ignored questions I was asking confirmation about. He tried to delay the vouchers and I expressed to him that I have concerns when its time to claim my $300 rewards based on the issues I was already experiencing at the moment. I asked for the $100 vouchers Ralph promised to be an immediate credit and Tony said that couldn't be done which was a lie. I called customer service and made a complaint and the person over the phone immediately credit me the $100 that Tony said they absolutely couldn't do. The story doesn't end there though. It's been 3 months and now its time to collect my $300 rewards. I gave Tony another try and reached out to him. He reminded me to keep an eye out for an email. Once I received that email, I followed directions to claim my rewards. It does say it'll take up to 30 days to receive, but I got notification that it was sent out on 4/8. Today is 4/28 and I havent received it. I checked in with Tony and asked him to look into it to ensure there wasn't an issue and that its on its way. 3 days and no reply from him. I am fine waiting the 30 days as long as we know its actually on its way. I really don't want to wait longer only to find out it was never on its way and have to do the whole process again. Like I said, I shared concerns that there will be difficulty claiming my rewards and sure enough, Tony's lack of communication once again confirms it. I guess I have to make another complaint so the right thing gets done. It's a big inconvenience, but my pet peeve is when people/companies owe me money and go quiet when it's time to collect. I would steer clear of this company and any reps that behave like these two. read more

Anyone thinking about switching to Frontier (by Verizon)? Do yourself a favor and don't. We switched to Frontier (by Verizon). What's mess. Worked for several months. Then out of the blue, zero services - no Internet (we have jobs and kids who need access for school) and since TV came over the line, none of that either. Every morning, noon and evening I'd get a text saying restoration of service by X (i.e. 4pm the same day). After a day or two that showed itself to be a straight lie. No human to talk to on the phone, either. This baiting fraud went on for two weeks until we switched back to Spectrum. They owed me $7.01 per their recurring bill and kept it for months and months instead of just sending me a check. Eventually they sent a prepaid MasterCard I never requested containing my $7.01 which, if I activated, screwed me over with annual fees, etc. I finally got in touch with someone in the Philippines who said they'd send me a check; haven't gotten it yet - been about a week. Frontier is about the worst company with which i've had the displeasure of doing business. Shady and unfair business practices at every turn, in my view. Stay always unless you're a masochistic glutton for punishment. Consider yourself warned. read more

ZERO STARS! Do not do business with this company. I tried for days to get assistance with my 85 yr old mom's internet service. Every customer service number does not work unless you say you want to buy service, otherwise the voice-bot refers you to their website. When you get to their website, you can open a chat with another voice -bot! I was finally able to get through to a live agent because I said I wanted new service. I only needed a packing label to return equipment. I'm hoping I'll receive the return box as promised. My fear is they'll charge my mom for not returning it timely. Absolutely awful experience with Frontier Communications. While I was on vacation, their technician disconnected my internet to connect someone else. When I got back, they refused to reconnect me and blamed their own substandard infrastructure. Meanwhile, I was still being billed for service I didn't have. I've been a customer of Verizon/Frontier since they dug up the sidewalks and installed fiber. I think it's going on 20 years. I called up to get my bill reduced since I was on a grandfathered plan which was much higher than what they are offering now. I had to go up to 500 gigabytes from 100 which seemed great since it was a third of the price. They came and installed a new router and box in my garage. It was going in and out so they sent me a new router. The new router didn't solve the problem. I finally partially solved the issue with a new ethernet cable (they provided it) but the internet never hits 500 gigabytes and ghosts me from time to time. Working with technical and customer service is a nightmare. They tried to sell me more services, tell me different things on every call and are generally incompetent. If I could get fiber from someone else, I'd leave them in a second. read more

Everything about Frontiers process is awful. They'll promise the world to you when you install internet (Free service for 2 months or $150 gift card) then will completely forget all about those things when it's time to pay up, requiring you to beg and plead with them to provide what they promised. I've spent HOURS of time on support with them. They had to send no less than 5 installation techs to my house to install internet because each one said it couldn't be done. My husband us SOOO HAPPY! He spoke with Kent in IT support for Frontier. Bruce had been STRUGGLING with the wifi constantly dropping on his pc.. for months! Chatgpt said to call frontier. Kent patiently spent like 30 minutes troubleshooting with Bruce. Turns out, Bruce had a setting WRONG.. and now everything works beautifully! I hate giving such a negative review but this service is simply awful! I have had so many issues and been on the phone for many hours with technical support. The last time was a few months ago and they never even got my issues fixed. The calls always disconnect and you must start all over again with troubleshooting. Very frustrating! Where I live we don't have any other option as our HOA signed an agreement with Frontier. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a cable company in my 25 years as a customer. They just bounce you back and forth between customer service/HOA team/tech support. I will say for the most part the reps are very friendly, although not much help. You can not reach any tech support that is in the US. Strictly India call centers. Those call centers aren't allowed to call the US support or dispatch, only update tickets and wait for someone to get back to them, so basically they know nothing. Field techs are incompetent. The first idiot came out and said a bucket truck was needed, so they scheduled a 3rd party company to come out a week later. They came out with a single ladder and ran the fiber. Now Frontier has no record of the fiber being run and wants to schedule a tech to come out in 10 days to look at it. 2Gig fiber has been completely dead for 2 weeks with at least a week before a tech comes out to see that the fiber is run and probably will have to schedule a future date. Customer service is nonexistent--you cannot get through to anyone, and they don't take phone calls at all. We had Frontier connect us on March 20 2026, they left an exposed cable that stretches across a public sidewalk. We were told they would be out the next week to bury it, it is now June 9th and the cable is still exposed. When I call to complain I am given a new date 4 different times and they stand me up every time. I have sent a complaint to the FCC and the Federal Trade Commision. WORST experience with a company ever!!! The internet kept cutting in and out multiple times throughout every day after a couple of weeks of them installing. It was so hard to get ahold of anyone to help because their phone is operated by a machine automated operator that refers you to their website and then hangs up on you over and over. Once you do get a hold of someone, they just tell you to unplug the device to restart it, but it only helps for a day or 2 and then it cuts out again and you have to waste time trying to talk to someone, getting put on hold for long periods of time and then they finally sent someone out. After all that I still had issues every day with the internet disconnecting from my devices. Took forever to try to talk to someone again to cancel and they charged hundreds to break my contract and cancel. Then when sending the equipment back, the girl at the UPS store warned me to keep my receipt for a year because she has had many customers complain that they were charged for not returning equipment when they did. Sure enough, 6 months later, I got charged without any notification, just saw it taken out of my bank account close to $200. Had to call multiple times and talk to multiple people and give them the proof I returned it to get my money back that they stole from me. They took months to give me a prepaid card in the amount they stole from me. No sorry, no compensation, no nothing. What a scam! Overall, I paid monthly for service that never worked, wasted so much time being hung up on by automated services and put on hold and for having techs coming out which didn't solve the internet issues, got charged hundreds for leaving the contract for a service that never worked, and got charged for equipment that I sent back...if this company isn't a scam I don't know what is!
