Need to keep using Spectrum for internet, since other options are not yet available in my area. Everything has to be bundled for savings, so that's what I do every 6 months when it expires and a new offer comes onboard, accepting it as a price of doing business...so have stopped into this neighborhood office quite a few times. Previously, it has been helpful...where the associates know this is the game, and that it is their opportunity to upsell you on their latest deals. That's how we also have their mobile plan, which is pretty good (as long as you don't use overseas). Our previous deal for internet/cable expired while we were away for a while, so decided to take a walk to the office. I wasn't in a hurry...you check-in on a kiosk...and I didn't have to wait long. So the person who called me in looked grumpy...like I was walking too slow coming over. She asked me how she could help, and I told her my situation. Her immediate response was "We are a sales location now...corporate is pushing that...so I probably can't help you". Nice start, but then she stated she would look me up (now mind you, I had already given my information on the kiosk so she COULD have been better prepared). While she was working on her computer, I mentioned that I was satisfied with the mobile plan and maybe a deal was available for bundling..she shot that down with a 'totally different plan..nope..you should try t-mobile if you want bundling'. She found out that I had basic, basic cable (because the previous deal was cheaper with it, then just internet alone). She asked me if I watched that..I said 'Nope', and then she stated 'Removed'. At this point, I was going to only give mono-symbolic answers. She told me there were no deals available. Then she asked me what I used it for...streaming and browsing I said (broke my rule, dang-it). She then told me that 100Mbps regular price was $40...which is half of what I was paying. I answered that was what I wanted (didn't know it was even an option). (Didn't want to ask her what the upload speed was..later found out that it's 20Mbps which is fine). She finished off with a 'Done!' and without looking up, asked 'Anything, else?'. I said 'Nope', turned around to walk away and said 'Thanks!' while walking out the door. I did double check my account on-line once I got home, and it reflected what she said (though it's hard to decipher Spectrum's billing cycle...so not sure when the savings will apply). So I got what I wanted, and I know I should be grateful, especially since it didn't take that long. I just think she's reached her breaking point with customers (or just didn't like me...maybe she saw through my fake smile because I needed something). Somebody came over while she was assisting me to ask for help, and she helped...so she must be someone of some authority or experience. It's also crappy that Spectrum had hidden the 100Mbps option...that wasn't an option before..thinking that there must be regulatory pressure to offer that. Always pays to keep checking... read more

Was frustrated with zentro internet, some eastcoast company that took over my old isp who were clueless and had horrible services. Thought it was gonna be a pain and a hassle to switch. Spectrum Reps are really helpful and not pushy and actually found a great promotion for me. KC was sweet and helpful and Jay was knowledgeable and friendly. The location is nice too and has enough support so you dont have too wait long. A big plus that they have people who know what theyre doing. We moved at the end of June and I called to transfer services to our new address. They closed our old account and opened a new one. Ever since we moved there's been outages in our neighborhood about every 6-8 weeks. Fast forward to Novembers when our internet stopped working and they kept telling us our internet is fine and shows it is connected to all devices. come to find out they never stopped charging us for our old address and said we never closed our old account. I'm sorry but how could the account number be CLOSED and I called to transfer services at a new address. so unprofessional and awful. Would not recommend. read more

I've dealt with Spectrum in two areas now, both times have been very unpleasant. To sum up the experience: -Their service quality diminishes rapidly after a few months (frequent dropouts and disconnections) -Their call center customer support team bombards you with propaganda and slander against other service providers when you try to downgrade / cancel a plan -Spectrum generally seem entrenched in outdated technologies and business practices. Spectrum mobile buyout from other carrier is a scam... I submitted all the information they requested but they still denied reimbursement for me paying the balance of devices I had with tmobile, that over 1k at a time I was and am in financial difficulties. I only switch to spectrum per this very deal but it was a scam. I was told by CS that if there were any issues that then will reopen the case till it gets resolved so i dont lose the promo deal; but i just got off the phone and they said i didn't provide the correct information when i did... i even sent in to them a device that had the imei info they wanted, yet they still said this was not sufficient. After you close an account with your previous carrier you no longer have access to your account so you can't get the information spectrum later says they need even though there is no mention of it being a requirement. Do not trust spectrum, they have been know to be garbage for decades and apparently nothing has ever changed. Their promo deals are just scams. If you have spectrum already i highly recommend switching to a different carrier. read more

Spectrum's technical support is minimal to non-existent. For mobile phones that do not have the capacity to change the number of rings before going to voice mail in the phone settings, it is the mobile service that determines this and Spectrum has refused to fixed this. As a result my phone is practically nonfunctional for incoming calls. If you can avoid Spectrum mobile, I would advise not using it. Their BBB reviews are 1 star. read more

So let me get this right.....I purchase a phone and had to get an exchange because it was damaged, I return the damaged device to @spectrum via Federalexpress using the label they (Spectrum) provided me with. Drop off said device at FedEx. Spectrum receives the box but the device is missing. I confirmed with FedEx that there was a significant weight change during transit, from 1.2lbs to .40lbs. Samsung is forcing me to pay for the device and threatening to interrupt my service. I filed the claim with Federal Express because spectrum is blaming me for the device being stolen in transit. Go figure. Pray for me y'all....I don't have $2500 to give to these people. read more

Spectrum is horrible - but it is not surprising since it is owned by Charter services. The spam that comes in is relentless on both our home phone and my mobile phone. You can never contact a customer service agent and, when you do, it is difficult to understand them. Sadly, the only thing that we can do is try to protect others from this abysmal service and share our negative experiences. And the stitch about a free phone when you switch from another provider? pure bullshit. I'd rather send smoke signals. Its easily the worst cell coverage I have ever had. Even when it says it has full bars and 5g, it struggles to load web pages and videos. Calling the customer service "incompetent" would be a grievous insult to incompetent people everywhere. They gave me a year of free mobile with my home internet and still switched, even when its free its not worth it. I have been a Spectrum customer for over 15 years. A new store openbed up on Dinah Shore in (73170 Dinah Shore Dr Suite 101, Palm Desert, CA 92211). I went there for the first time this morning, as I am eligible for an early upgrade. I will never step foot in that store again. I wasted my time, first of all. They didn't have a zFold 5, in black. The very large round gent that waited on me seemed irritated, as if he was ready for a confrontation. You know when an atmosphere is welcoming. After 15 minutes, I just wanted out of there. I'm a black hospital worker. I recognize the attitude I experienced. Sharp answers, and zero pleasantries. It was like a trip to the DMV, or the dentist. I'll never step foot in that place again. I'll try an complete my upgrade at the store on El Cielo in Palm Springs, where I have always been treated nicely. I'll also warn my friends. read more

So I wanted to give a honest review of my experience with Spectrum mobile because no on I knew has spectrum mobile, I also had looked at reviews from people on YouTube about Spectrum mobile before making the switch. What I found on YouTube were mainly people who were most likely being influenced by Spectrum in their opinions for sponsorship reasons or just were very vague with the service. Here's my experience: Before Spectrum, I had AT&T for a few years. Prior to that I had Verizon. I was starting to get upset with the increases in pricing for AT&T so what caught my eye about Spectrum was this deal from Spectrum customers who already have wifi with them that they can get two lines for the price of one ($30.00) for the first year, with the second line being the same price as well, so $60/yr for two lines. This sounded great because at AT&T I was paying $120 for two unlimited lines. It's also worth mentioning that there is a 20gb data cap per line which was done with me because both my wife and I's average data usage was below that amount. We decided to make the switch so we can experience what it was like the first hand. To be honest the only good thing about Spectrum mobile is the pricing. Their level of pricing is probably equal to the level of signal I receive at any given location. The line will constantly drop on multiple phone calls and the FaceTime quality is always horrible. Anyone I Facetime can't hear me or there is lapse in audio on either side. Often times my iphone signal will go to SOS or will have the towers completely disappear. This will happen randomly and I use my personal phone for business and this has caused me to miss personal calls or emergency calls to be effective at my job. It literally takes me restarting my phone for the Towers to regenerate. Also, if your phone battery dies and your phone reboots the phone can't make calls as well and the towers are not present as well. I was told prior to my decision to use Spectrum mobile that Spectrum uses Verizon's Towers for its signals but the level of service and signal anywhere I go hasn't seen the service I received at Verizon. I was also told that Spectrum has the added bonus of using any spectrum wifi network, from my home or anywhere there is a network and have my phone automatically connected to it to help tether the signal. I have made sure the wifi calling on my phone is turned on and the fact that there are Spectrum internet networks where I go has not assisted in making my calls/FaceTime experience better at all, especially knowing the places I go for this spectrum internet has great wifi coverage and signal. To speak to their customer service from a personal touch, their system has become so automated that it's near impossible to get to a live agent and most times you feel like a hot potato to get someone to answer your questions or assist with long waiting times. At this point I am four months into this one year free deal and I don't know if I can stay on this plan for any longer as the pricing doesn't warrant the suffering of my business and my career. Google calls give better service. Ps - I also have constant trouble connecting to web browser on my phone, even as I attempt to write this review with full signal strength. read more
