SPECTRUM SUCKS! I had service that was working perfectly well but I switched to save money. My switchover has been a nightmare!!! From problems with the install to phone service that doesn't work. I can call out but cannot receive calls. I have contacted customer support multiple times. They insist it is a phone problem, the manufacturer insists it is a provider problem. I called Spectrum Cable on Feb. 14 to change my service as my cable bill was out of control at $190.00 a month. My intention was to use internet only which was to be $69.99 and the changes were to be made February 17, 2018, which did not happen. Sunday 18 February I checked my e-mail to find a mail from Spectrum stating I am getting Internet, Voice, and TV for $69.99 I assumed that was why my service did not change as scheduled. Checking my bill I find that I am still being charged $190.00 a month for the Triple Play. After many calls to Spectrum Cable, they are now refusing to honor their e-mail price. As a result, I am now getting internet only as of April, 25, 2018. On April 26, 2018 I received another e-mail from Spectrum stating that I was to pay $64.99 for Internet, Voice, and TV.  Really? read more

Worse than the DMV!!! If the high price wasn't enough, at least the service is terrible! Waited for almost an hour to work out an issue with the billing but had to leave with still 20 people in front of me. I swear spectrum is the worse internet service I have ever had that's why I'm canceling my service. Everything buffers like now I have one bar on my phone really???? Then you call they don't to negotiate price to keep you as a PAYING customer. TAX internet has been really good for years.They even survived the outages cause by Verizon cutting TWs cables up daily, to lay down their "fios nonsense" After you have had any problems w TW, they do catch up to you, send techies + fix it good. I also have Dish.TV + too tiers on both. You can't compare them. Each has different channels. TW is huge. In Hemet, TW features a local Hemet station or 2.+ IF YOU NEED A NEW PART, ITS RIGHT IN HEMET PROPER. TW has a great office + store right here no contracts like Dish. TW equivalent to the hopper + their app are ok but working to make it as good as Dish's.Its a darn good TV service Internet is "the best".I can't believe I can see Hemet Community channels, + local evrnts. Dish says they provide that but they dont. Not unless you live in LA. On either service I can't get San Diego or TJ news. Im stuck in the LA region + LA news is boring. Who goes there? Except to work? Im looking for an antenna that will get San Diego news. Their best DVR is really good. Its not a hopper but is great to watch live TV in bed, on your smart phone or tablet. They improving the app so u can also watch the DVR events on your phablet too (thats what they say + I believe them. ) If u call their tech support + u get the rate tech that's reading canned answers, snd u know better, just say "bad connection" + call back + most of their techs are great. Three weeks to get an installer out to hook up my cable. Then the day comes, no call to let me know when they will be there to install. I'm 40 minutes away from my home at my work office since I need Internet connections. Not ONE PHONE CALL to let me know when they would be there to install, and the guy shows up and can't wait for me to get there. He then told me I had to call them back to reschedule. Now I wait another 2 weeks to get cable/internet??? Don't your commercials boast about not having to wait at home all day??? That you provide an hour window for arrival???. Now I have to spend extra money on gas to commute to and from work for another 2 weeks, not to mention additional day care fees since I won't be at home to watch my child. Customer service was gracious enough to give me a 20$ credit...Gee thanks! read more

We just switched from Verizon to spectrum, it was a HUGE MISTAKE. we will eventually go back to Verizon. Spectrum did the install the other day, which took all day. When the installer left we started playing with the tv, and much to our surprise we got NOTHING we had originally requested. I spent the next 4 hours on the phone trying to get what they said we would have. NOT...when we called to sign up we had 2 very specific things we wanted, 1. Caller id on the tv and 2. The western channel. We got neither. Because they have new cable boxes it does not accommodate the caller id feature. The western channel is an upgrade package which of course costs more than what was quoted. When I asked about the caller id, I was told I needed to go to store and change out the boxes and hopefully I could get it. I told them I was a new customer they needed to come exchange the boxes, they told me sorry we will have to charge a service fee. This is how they treat new customers on the day of installation. WE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED, I would never recommend them to anyone. Think twice before you decide to use this company, IT IS A JOKE......from a very unhappy customer read more

Horrible experience. Here's the short version. Moved from Hemet to San Jacinto, about 3 miles. Called to transfer service. Rep who helped me had no clue. So the first thing that happened was she got the wrong address so I got confirm email with wrong address. Called that day and changed it to correct address. Got new confirmation with correct address. Then my internet and TV were disconnected a week early. Wrong stop date too. Day before install I get a call saying they can't locate my address. They still had the wrong address. Really not happy at this point, but when I gave them correct address it showed up. Next day tech comes, installs equipment but no signal. Says it's bad tap, has water in it. He can't fix so it gets sent to maintenance. I had to call Spectrum because I was told 5-7 days for appt. I talk with customer solutions and they send maintenance out in an hour. Maintenance shows up and wouldn't you know it, the tech installed our service on wrong tap. Tech comes back out and finally gets install right. Process took almost 6 hours. On top of that, the original order was wrong, she didn't transfer service, so it was a new service install. Still charged me 10 bucks to transfer a non transfer of service. Had to set up new account so new payment date. When I called about partial refund of old service was told they would credit my account by the end of week. Waited 2 weeks and nothing. Call again and told because it's new service and new account they have to mail check. Wait 2 weeks no check and now they are saying they are all processed in a batch so it could be another week or two. Really??? On top of all of this crap, I had to waste 1.5 hours returning the old equipment, which was fine but couldn't be used since it was new service. Very poor service. We are going to cut the cord. i have been trying to get internet for 4 days. i have called them 40 times and they keep giving me different departments and BS. For the last 3 days they tell me they are going to send someone out to take they block off the pole no specific time and none shows. whats funny if you would owe them a bill they would call, email, or send you letters and they would cut you service off. they lie to you all day and nothing happens to them read more

We changed our cable company about 6 months ago. We were told the company is now Spetcrum. We got miss information from the beginning of installation and changed our boxes out three times in the first two weeks. We have nothing but problems; remote to scroll up or down watch TV or view recordings shows a circle that keeps running around in a circle and we have to reboot system to get it ti work.The comany does updates about 2 to 3 weeks at night. When this it done it creates new problems example a recoded show is replaced with different show, sound on tv or recording goes In and out ect. Call for trouble shooting and teck rebooted system and erased previous recording and all preset show to record. We have had three teck to our home to fix problems. We were informed that the boxes from Time Warner were not comepadable with Spectrum. New boxes on the way and are in other areas but not our. Called the office was informed new boxes were available and we scheduled a teck to bring new boxes. He showed up told us no new boxes were available till Dec.2017. The teck informed us not to call the office or even the president of the compay as they would promise anything to keep our businees.My advice if you are in the processing of changing cable company's don't change till after the first of 2018, at least not Spectrum. I hope this post will help you when choosing a cable company unlike our choice.
