The absolute WORST. We're trying to disconnect my mother's service. The guy I front needed manager approval regarding my Power of Attorney because notary public seals are something he doesn't understand. After waiting forever for the "manager" to come out, she ok's it but we have to wait for our original "customer service" person who has been involved with another customer. Go to the Garland location or somewhere else to return your modem. Apparently, this Spectrum location is notorious for refusing to take the equipment and then trying to scam you and claim they never received it when you return it through UPS. It's a problem with this location that's not going to change anytime soon so just make life easier on yourself and drive the extra 4 miles somewhere else. Spectrum only gets customers because they're a monopoly holding citizens hostage and leaving them with no other choice in service provider. The worst customer service I have ever experienced (that they charge you extra for if you want to speak with an actual person). Shoddy and inconsistent internet connection that is not reliable. Frequent outages that have ruined days when I needed to work from home. They have zero value and I would give them zero stars if that were an option. read more

Known con artists! When went to return the equipment at UPS, the UPS rep was nice enough to tell me to hold on to my receipt because Spectrum is notorious for claiming that they did not receive the equipment. So i kept it, and 8 months later when i went to buy a house I was told that Spectrum has reported a negative rating to my credit and ruined my perfect credit! I contacted the collections agency who claimed the equipment was not received. I told them i have the receipt! The said they can open a dispute which would take a month, or I can pay $75 to have it removed within a few days! Guess which option i had to go with considering I was in escrow? Stay away from the Spectrum Store on Park Lane near North Park in Dallas. The personal could not be ruder and more unhelpful. Our visit lasted barely a minute. We walked into a store, empty of customers & with no employees in sight from the front of the store There was a screen at the front door for us to sign in. We tried several time to sign in without success. The screen was broken. We look deeper into the store and saw two employees sitting in the back of the store at individual computer screens. Neither got up to greet. While still sitting, one employee yelled, "You are going to break the machine" (already broken). That was the only contact with the staff. Neither persons got up to help us. We walked. We came in to buy a phone and to add our mobile service to our Spectrum internet and home phone account. Now it looks like we'll need to consider changing all our accounts to an another service. Very bad experience. Left a negative feeling that will not go away anytime soon. What a shame. read more

My internet goes out constantly. They've been here multiple times to attempt to fix it. Still doesn't stay connected. Each time I call customer service they give me a different wrong # to contact but can never transfer me to it? I wish I could give Spectrum as a whole zero stars, not a particular location. I decided to switch over from my provider I'd been with for a very long time due to a $40 increase on my bill despite a call with the loyalty dept to adjust it in order to fit into my budget. I won't go into detail about that because my 6 DAY experience with Spectrum was miles worse. I talked with Able, the sales person mid September inquiring about services and after being promised everything I required, I decided to make the change. The equipment arrived and a tech came and installed it a few days later, a Sunday. The AppleTV boxes I'd been talked into arrived the following Thursday. After connecting them to both TV's I discovered the service was no where near what I was promised from the Sales Dept. By Friday I'd called and spoken with Customer Service as well as Tech Support (each contradicting the other), more than I had my previous provider in a year. Saturday I'd had enough, cancelled the service and reinstated my other provider as I still had all the equipment. I decided I'd rather pay more money than continue on the road of hell Spectrum was attempting to drag me down. It doesn't end there. I've now gotten 3 bills (2 over $600 with a previous balance no less) and had to call AGAIN to address. Once again, I've been assured the bill will be adjusted, but I have NO faith in anything Spectrum tells me. I have no choice but to pay for the Apple TV boxes which can't be returned because they'd been opened (still wondering how else I would have been able to check the service without connecting them to check) and plan to tell anyone who is willing to listen to avoid Spectrum at ANY and ALL costs! read more

HORRIBLE!! the worse experience I have ever had. Agents like CALOS OR CRUZ hang up the call before I complete my complaint they put the call in mute and then proceeded to wait until the call is disconnected they don't have respect for customers they have charged me twice in a month with no answers about this situation. They also don't provide effective information because I've spoken with 5 agents and they all have different answers to my problem. I'll take responsibility for not reading the fine print before signing up. That's on me. I specifically asked if the 400 Mbps was symmetrical (same upload speed as download speed). He assured me it was. I specifically asked if the phone service was land line or voice over IP. He said land line. Important to me because I want hard wired 911. I asked specifically If it was hard wired 911 or E 911. He assured me it was hard wired 911.  (E911 relies on the provider capturing the address location and serving it up to emergency services at emergency time. Hard Wired 911 gets the location directly from the installed equipment.) Then I installed everything: 1. Max download speed is 23 Mbps, not 400. 2. None of their packages have an upload speed above 35 Mbps To get that you have to go to their super-duper premium package. I would have paid the difference to get the upgrade, but they were going to charge me a $120 installation fee. No way to wave it. 3. On the phone front: Voice over IP, no landline option. E911 only, no hardwired 911. First call to support, rather than admitting I'd been sold a bill of goods wanted me to return the equipment and get it replaced. I refused. They hung up on me. Second to call to support I got an honest person who explained the situation re: the max upload speed, and the additional installation fees. There was nothing he could do. He got me in touch with their "sales retention manager", who essentially told me the exact same thing again and there was no way to wave the installation fee... When I called to cancel the service, had to go through the explanation all over again! Final insult: I very carefully packed all the equipment up to take it back to the store. When I got there, they informed me that they don't take the boxes, yanked everything out. Didn't bother checking anything. Weren't particularly friendly. read more

I had made a appointment to switch out modem and router due to the fact that after recently getting a new one installed it stopped working so here I am on my third router and modem because they told me the other 3 were not communicating with each other. I go for my appointment and simply ask can you please tell me if I am hooking things up right because I had pictures of how it was last hooked up by technicians. He said no he couldn't help to call customer service. There was no one else in the store and I said well at least you are not too busy and he said yes and don't tell anyone I don't want people in here. Clearly he is unaware that 6.6 million people have filled for unemployment clearly one of them could replace him. Shameful read more

Spectrum is a monopoly and should be closed down. I cannot wait until 5G runs them out of business! I am paying for 400gb of internet speed but have never got close to 100gb. They claim that it is my computers. Anyway their streaming TV service started having issues so I called support. Wasted an hour going thru all the hoops of unplugging, restarting, etc. Finally they scheduled a tech to visit two days later. He spend an hour at my house and replaced the modem. He tried a few channels on the TV and said everything was fine. Two minutes after he left the TV was pixelating and buffering again. I called tech support back and was promised that another tech would return with an hour or two. Instead I got a call from dispatch that said they don't do same day recalls and a tech would come out the next day. When I asked why they lied to me she hung up. At that point it will be four days without TV. After they finally get it working I will be offered a 15 cent credit. read more

I contacted Spectrum to order internet service. The sales person offered a low cost for bringing my mobile devices. I asked if i could purchase insurance on my devices if I move the to Spectrum. I was told that I will be able to get insurance. THAT WAS A LIE! After moving my devices the customer service representative told me that I can only get insurance if I purchase a new phone from them. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke with a supervisor named Dontennia who was apologetic but didn't offer any meaning solutions. She offered a $25 credit towards my account. Needless to say $25 will not replace or repair a phone if it gets broken. If you are considering switching carriers to Spectrum, DON'T DO IT. They will tell you anything to get your business then not follow through with their promises. Spectrum hires 3rd party sales people so they can blame the 3rd party for the lies and deception! Spectrum should take responsibility for the lies told by the people they hire to sell their products!! read more

They fail to provide new customers with details regarding their accounts, the representatives are incompetent and when you present concerns or cancellations you will be transferred to multiple people and never resolve your issues. Zero stars for Spectrum mobile. They advertise unlimited yet they limit the service if you go over a certain amount of data. So that's a lie. Their mobile service sucks big-time. Spectrum's service in Dallas, TX is a joke! My landline has dropped numerous times, no way to call into Spectrum to correct the issue. Streaming service does not work for ten days but Spectrum will not refund the time the service is down because they were working on the issue (obviously not very well) or the other reason I've received 'it was a known issue' (well known issue does not mean they are planning to fix it!). Time Warner Crap was bad enough but Spectrum seems to be trying to take the customer service and decent customer treatment to a whole new, lower level of crappy service! read more

One of Spectrum's points in commercials is the fact there is no contract. Today I learned what that meant. My bill for service increase over 12% because promotions expired. When discussing the changes they said they gave new promotions that expire in one year, which leaves my bill 12% higher than the original bill. None of the commercials mention the original bill is a promotion or that it expires in 6 months. This is very close to bait and switch which is not a positive way in which to operate a business. My last bill in April did not mention the rate increase for the next bill even though the person to whom I spoke said the Spectrum news would state such changes it did not. BE CAREFUL ask Spectrum what the charges are what promotions make the amount and when they expire..... read more

I've been a customer for 15 years recently looked at my bill and saw a 10% increase over the prior month. These increases have happened with regularity to a point of $225 a month for Internet and cable service. I called spectrum and requested a review of my bill and asked for an adjustment or any discounts that were available they said they had none basically take it or leave it was the attitude. They will give you a ridiculous rate for the first 12 months and after that they will bury you on your bill for the future. It's a bait and switch concept. I went in to get an address unblocked and was greeted so nicely by the employees. They were under staffed but ensured everyone there was taken care of. I worked with a gentleman named Antonio and he got me set up with service regardless of the frustration I showed due to dealing with the online customer service. I left very pleased. Long wait lines. They don't send a technician to your home to install your internet instead they make you pick up your equipment & set it up yourself. To me, that's putting the work on the customer and they profit save money on not having to hire enough technicians to do the job. I picked up the equipment and they gave me tv and internet equipment I had to go back to the store to drop it off because the guy was not suppose to give me tv equipment. Charter Internet was wonderful, we had it at various places for 20+ years, never any issues, good speed, great price and perfect Customer Service. ~5 years ago they bought Time Warner and formed Spectrum. Since then they blew it. The internet service is still solid never an issue. But Customer Service has degraded to what Time Warner used to be.... Worthless, and the exact same service now cost nearly 300% more in 5 years. I'm switching soon. read more

If I could give Spectrum ZERO stars, I would. They refuse to disconnect my mother's service. She is 83 years old and is moving into a Memory Care facility. She has been paying for cable and internet for 9 months and hasn't even lived in her home (she's been in assisted living.) I have called countless times and I'm put on hold each time for over 40 minutes. Supervisors are rude and will not help. I live in Denver and cannot easily drive to a store in Dallas, Texas with my POA. They REFUSE to help at all. RUN, DON'T WALK, from this company. Spectrum is the absolute worst internet provider around. I have been using them for a number of years and every year you get a price increase in your service gets worse and worse you can't do anything that involves internet whether it's watching movie play a game something on your computer without it cutting out on you every 10 seconds to 5 minutes you can get nothing done nothing complete I do not recommend it to anybody and their customer service is crap they do nothing to help you they don't care about you they don't care they are the absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with in my life and they do nothing to make it better except for run you through all the troubleshooting crap that you've already done a hundred other times and it's ridiculous my equipment so out of date they keep telling me that it's up to date I had this equipment before 5G was even thought about coming out and they're telling me my equipment is up to date it's ridiculous absurd the next only thing I know to do is you call the Better Business Bureau so that's what I'm going to do but if you're new to the area do not use Spectrum they are the worst unfortunately in my area spectrums the only thing available they do not care about their customers whatsoever if I could give them negative 10 Stars I would read more

They couldn't set up service for over 2 weeks; kept telling me my bank had refused to accept my credit card despite over 10,000 available credit, screwed up several attempts to gain service due to errors in original application. I bought a Galaxy A51 and they had no hardcovers, nor did Best, which resulted in a broken screen when the phone slid out of my pocket and cracked the screen, they failed to sign me up for the insurance service I requested, which is problematic because the phone has completely ceased operation, just a black paperweight. Once you get it up and running, the access provider is actually Verizon (?) so it functions if you can keep the phone running. They suck. read more

With the exception of the Spectrum Mobile Service I have their internet and cable; both of which I could not be happier. In my efforts to sign on with their Mobile division I took the phone I received in the mail from them for help in transferring my data from my cell to theirs. After 4 hours they were unsuccessful. I returned to AT&T and then took the phone back to Spectrum in order to receive my money back. It was at that time that one of their male agents (the same one who helped me on the first visit) began to verbally abuse me non stop and said it was my fault and that I should not have even brought that phone to a store for information transfer. As a senior citizen and a customer of Spectrum I was shocked and looked down and my hands were shaking. All he had to do was return the phone, credit my charge card and give me a receipt. This could have been done with no conversation. I would suggest anyone who wants their cell service or needs assistance with their cell select another location. This is not how customers are to be treated. read more
