Spectrum has one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. I clearly informed them that I was moving, yet they transferred my account anyway without proper authorization. I later canceled the service, returned the equipment directly to the original location, and confirmed everything in person. Despite this, they still billed me and continued the service as if nothing had changed. After multiple calls, I was escalated to a manager who assured me everything had been resolved. However, I am still receiving emails and calls regarding a service I no longer have and did not authorize to continue. There is no reason I would choose to keep paying $256 a month for inconsistent service and ongoing administrative errors. Despite that, Spectrum continued sending me bills as if the account had never been cancelled. I called again to verify the cancellation, but I continued receiving past-due notices and additional charges. To make matters worse, Spectrum reported three months of alleged unpaid service to the credit bureaus after I had already cancelled the account. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering Spectrum keep detailed records of all communications and cancellation confirmations. Terrible experience!!!! I was moving and requested to cancel my service. Internet is included at my new location and I made that clear to the representative on the phone. Still, he made me go through a bunch of offers that I don't need even though I kept telling him to skip all of that. About 30 minutes later, my service was cancelled and I was told to return my equipment. When I went to return my equipment, I had to wait about 45 minutes. My name was on a board with several people ahead of me. Then they removed my name from the board and proceeded to serve a different customer. Finally they served me and still trying to sell me service I dont need. Then they about 45 days later, they had the nerve to charge me $90 for equipment that I had already returned years ago at the same location. read more

I didn't catch the guys name. Was a bigger (gentle)man with dark hair and glasses. Very rude and passive aggressive and the whole place had a negative atmosphere. I returned some equipment and he didn't check me out. Just told me he would email me a receipt but I wanted confirmation because Spectrum likes to hand out hefty no-return fees. Went on to print my receipt out and told me I could have saved some trees had he just emailed it to me. I am Devastated! After having my Business land-line for 30 years. I may have lost the number dealing with Spectrum! I have 3 accounts with them. I decided to switch my Salon number 972-701-0980 from the landline to a mobile number. I was told the stores couldn't help because it was a business line. I called, and the specialist set up the mobile part with monthly payments and address change. Then canceled the internet and wifi at the old address. He put me on hold, then came back with everything was set and said I would get notification on the delivery of the device. I turned in the equipment on January 7th. The phone came on January 13th. I tried to activate the device and got an error! I called and was told that it would take 3 days for the activation or less to go through I called back after a couple of days later check on the phone. I gave the specialist all the information needed, she came back with it. It will take another 3 days. Because she put in another ticket in on the installation. What why I asked, she told me I have to wait. After that Hell broke through after that!! Today is January 28th, and I don't have the phone number!! I stayed on the phone with different specialists for 3 hours! Then, I was told that a supervisor would call me back within 48hrs. I couldn't wait so I called the next day. There were no notes about any supervisor calling me back and was told that no one would be calling me back. Because it was nothing they could do. This story ends with being told I should have waited before turning in the spectrum equipment. Also, in order to remove the error to activate the mobile device with the number. They have to reinstall the equipment at the old address. At this point, it is January 23rd, and I no longer have access to the building, and the electricity is no longer in my name. This specialist told me to do the best I can do in talking to the previous management company where I moved from to allow me access to the building. On January 21st, I got an email from Spectrum on a scheduled appointment on the installation of the equipment. With a total of 196.08 for internet, voice plus installation and taxes. This is crazy!! I lost my salon phone number of 30 years, lost calls, and lost income. Now I have to start all over again!!! read more

I decided to change to spectrum last year, let me say that was a big mistake. I was not happy with their poor service. First when the installer came out he was young and not well trained. He drilled a hole in a rear room in my house for the coaxial cable. Then he said oh sorry , you're not getting a signal in the front of the house so I have to move it. This meant drilling another hole in the front room of the house. Very very annoyed by this !!! So now I have coaxial cable running up and down the side of my house and this huge ugly box as well on the out side of the house. Then I cancelled my service with them in February and paid my final bill. They tried to say I didn't pay my bill and called a few months back and spoke with someone that said he rectified it and I was all good and it was taken care of! Now it stated back up receiving constant text, emails, and paper bills saying it's not paid again. Mind you I cancelled in January 25! So I just got off the phone with a rep and she said that my payment didn't go through. This makes no since when I spoke with someone in the latter part of February when I called the first time to rectify the bill. He never mention a payment didn't go through! So how is that a payment back in December your saying here at the end of April did not go through !! They are full of shit. I paid the bill again so they will get off my back! I WILL NEVER EVER USE SPECTRUM AGAIN! Worst service and they still use all that old coaxial cable and huge boxes outside on your home. I still have to pull all that old cable and fill the holes on my house. I went back to ATT , they offered 150 dollar gift card to come back to them plus they use one thin wire that was already installed at the back of my house and I get great service, which spectrums antique coaxial cable would not work according to the untrained installer ! I will NEVER refer or have any affiliation with spectrum after my experience. This company conducts business like someone out to scam individuals. A salesman came to my house about a month ago and discussed a free trial. He was very pushy and I agreed to think about the trial so I could move about my day. He gave me his card and cell to schedule time coming back. After discussing with my husband, I texted Melvin and told him we decided not to move forward with the trial. Earlier this week I received a call and mail that I had a past due balance on a spectrum account. An account that I did not authorize or set up. A service that I have not used. I tried calling your customer service line but was told I couldn't be helped because I didn't have the account number needed. I was able to speak with a csr when your team called me today. While the rep resolved the issue by closing the account, she forgot to mute herself and I overheard the conversation she had with I assume management. She said things like, I know they are lying & I hope she never calls my line. The feedback I heard from management was to sell me service, and she would be micromanaged if not. Extremely unprofessional on a call with a customer. Signing someone up without consent is identity theft and unacceptable. Sharing this with others because they can apparently bill you without permission and it can go to collections and affect your credit score. read more

I thought Comcast was bad. A'aight. Holly fucking shit, the Spectrum business in Dallas is an absolute horrendous POS. We're taking care of an elderly lady in her 90's, not blood related but almost like a mother to us. She was paying $253 for internet + TV + Voice which is absolutely fucking insane. I switched her to ATT fiber for $55/month, DirecTV streaming for $69 and for voice she got one of my VoIp numbers for free. Saved her around $130, give or take. But it took me literally 90 FUCKING minutes to cancel Spectrum which didn't actually work by the way. Had to wait for 30 minutes to get someone on the phone and another 60 minutes to talk to this fucking idiot who kept giving me the run around and trying to lower the bills or sale me shit I didn't need. I think I said cancel everything like 100 fucking times. UNFUCKING believable the amount of nonsense and disrespect you get from these m'fockers. And to make matters even worse when I went to the store to return all the equipment this mother fucker actually did not cancel anything, he lied through his fucking teeth. Their representatives are in stores pretending to be AT&T. So they signed me up, and when I realized it wasn't AT&T they didn't cancel it so I had to call in. They shipped this equipment immediately, so I had to come to the office to drop it off and make sure it cancels. Once in the store, which is in a busy area, had 2 people working. 11 people in line. I call back within the "guidelines " to qualify for their buy back program after paying $1700 out of pocket- THEY tell me to return the phone I purchased from them and wait for a refund then call back to start the process over (because the original agent notated my account but did not add the promotion to my account) I do what THEY instructed me to do. Then I call back and I'm told I'm not eligible for their $1500 reimbursement because I paid my phones off more than 7 days ago! I learned today that SPECTRUM just cancelled / closed my account w/ no notification. I had to get a new CC due to fraudulent purchases & failed to notify them. Usually, the companies you use auto pay with can / will get your new info. w/ out contact. When I spoke w/ a rep & a supv., I was told they closed my account & to reinstate services, to disconnect my equipment & bring it in or ship it & a new acct. has to be created! THANK U 4 DOING ME A FAVOR - bcuz of Spectrum, I have lost 20 days of downtime & having to use PTO bcuz SPECTRUM internet downtimes - I already signed on WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER! GOOD RIDDANCE.
