I had been a long time customer of Brighthouse cable, over 30 yrs. When Spectrum bought them out they refused to give me a break in price so I changed to another cable/internet/phone company. I eventually went back to Spectrum when, as a "new customer" I could get a more competitive rate. Eventually the same thing happened. I could not get a more competitive or similar rate. My bill went up nearly $50/mo! I switched again. Each time I was able to maintain my spectrum email acct without any problem. NOW I have suddenly lost my email account, all of my emails, all of my contacts, etc. I UNFORTUNALTELY spoke to a woman at Walmart trying to get me to switch back to Spectrum. I never should have given her my address! Came home and found my email acct had been DELETED! LESSON LEARNED: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER TALK TO ANYONE TRYING TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICE, ESPECIALLY SPECTRUM. Definitely will not go back to being a Spectrum customer. read more

We have been having internet connectivity issues since last month. Today Dec. 11 we still have no access. This is causing us to incur late fees. I have been talking to company reps, they put a bandaid on connectivity issue, problem returns. My advice to you, request a technician to come to your house as soon as you notice the problem. Don't try to fix it with them by phone. This is a sad excuse for a company. Learn from companies like Amazon. It knows how to provide service right. read more

Stay away!! In all my years I've never dealt with a worse company. Every bill is wrong, every hook up is wrong, and when I call for a correction I'm on hold for hours (literally). Even if it's their fault they won't correct it. Spectrum is the worst! read more

Was misinformed about the difference between the Samsung S22 and the S22+. They admitted it, people at store don't have a clue about any of the phones. But because it was past the 14 day mark, AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMIT I WAS MISINFORMED, they won't do a friggin thing about it!!! So I'm stuck with a phone I hate for 2 years even though they admit I was misinformed because I was past the 14 day mark by 2 weeks. And when I called Spectrum about it, the woman I spoke to filed some kind of grievance and said I would hear something in 24 to 72 hours later, 5 days later I call them back only to be told because I didn't buy the phone on line they couldn't do anything for me me!! Again, the woman I spoke to last week should've known that!! So the guy I talked to today said go to the store and ask for the manager he'll be able to do something for me. Went to the store and asked for the "manager" and they guys at the looked at me like they didn't know what that was, was actually confused as they said "umm we don't have one of those but we have a supervisor he's on lunch" so the supervisor was on lunch, won't be back for at least 30 minutes. Called Spectrum back and the guy I talked to this time didn't want to hear it, was adiment that was the policy and I'm fucked, can't do nothing about it and I'm stuck with this phone that sucks. At one point he cut me off and said "sir, is there anything else I can help you with" so I told him to go fuck himself!! I'M BEYOND PISSED OFF!! read more

Spectrum started charging us for our modem and didn't tell us. They kept increasing our bill too. Ridiculous. We purchased our own and I went to return their box to them. I walked in a little after 10 on a Saturday. I waited over 45 minutes in line and 6 people were in front of me. They had 2 people "working" but neither could care less how long any of us waited on them to get to us. One man was setting up a couple of phones. That took him the entire amount of time I stood in line to do and he wasn't done when I was leaving the store. Others in 'line" or in the 'que' were less than pleased that the other man who was "working" went behind the wall and disappeared for over 5 minutes. Mind you, they just opened at 10 am. And you have over 20 people on the board waiting for you to get to them. There were 4 other kiosks that SHOULD have been open but apparently Spectrum, once again, could care less about its customers. I had no idea I could schedule an appointment on line prior to showing up and had I of known that I sure would have. I also did not know you needed to sign in when you arrive. They have set this store up to be somewhat like "Apple/Mac" and it is ridiculous. They are in no way at the same level as Apple. They are a horrible excuse for internet/tv services and they could care less about their customers. When we called to speak with customer service on the phone and why they kept increasing our bill she could have care less. She didn't try to keep us as customers. She really acted like she wanted off the phone. Anyway, I agree with all of the horrible reviews on here. I wish I could gain control of a business like this. Every employee would be retrained. Every employee would have another chance at treating our customers right. If they can't or won't they would be let go. There are good people out there. You just have to find them. Oh, by the way. There is ZERO reason someone should wait in line to return your modem. It took less than 20 seconds for him to get me checked in and my receipt printed. I do not and never will recommend this store or this service. We have a lack of choices in this area and I get why people use them. But as to the cost vs services... Cost wins and services stink. read more

Be advised hat this company does not prorate your service. If you cancel on the second day of the month, they charge you the whole month. They raise their rates each year, so that after about 2 years, your charges double. This is for TV, phone and internet. Not happy with their customer service, either. read more

For two days my internet was not at the 100mps they claim we get. Today my complex and the complex across the street lost both cable and internet. Woman across street called & was given a Monday appointment. DUH...this is not affecting just ONE Person. My neighbor across from me also called me if I too hand NO SERVICE. So I called to Report Total Lost of Service with TWO Associations. Bad Employee Training. Female employee not believing me there was an outage because she did not see anything on my account. Although she did know she could not access my modem. I ended up getting MAD, asking her why she is calling me a LIAR. HOW MANY PEOPLE need to call in to alert Spectrum that there is NO SERVICE. Finally she came back & said Tech coming out. Meanwhile woman across the street walked over to two guys working with something. OK...these guys Disconnect the electrical box so they could replace it with a new one. I feel Spectrum needs to find out who these guys are. They need to contact their company and ask them NEXT TIME Spectrum needs to know when "their" service to "their" Customers is going to be CUT. Hopefully employees at Spectrum would then know if they get any calls from location, to pass on this information. I do think more training and proper words employees use should be taught to eliminate a customer getting upset with them. Sometimes written dialogue does not match a customer complaint so you have to improvise. read more

If I could review Spectrum/Brighthouse with 0 stars, I would. The service in general has been dismal at best. Lived in my house for 9 years- it took 5 years of calling to finally get them to address the "shared" cable line with my neighbor. Seriously- 5 years. On one visit, the service tech said my splitters and lines were outdated and needed to be addressed but he wasn't the guy to do it. So I called in to let customer service know, they tell me to just get another box. I have done this a few times and still- we get blue screens more than we get actual tv shows. From 6pm to 11pm, we average 3 hours + of blue screen. The box seems to be the bandaid instead of addressing the root issue. All the while, paying $230 per month and having 1 of 3 cable boxes work good. I'm back in line again at countryside to swap for another box. It's criminal what they do- charge a customer for a service that they don't deliver on. read more

The Bright House service was expensive and mediocre at best. Since the Spectrum buy out the service has gotten even more expensive. I contacted Spectrum in response to a mailing I had received implying "better service at a reduced rate". The Customer Service person indeed saved me $25 per month for faster internet and same TV service. This was to be applied immediately with no service call. After 24 hours and no change to my service I called Spectrum back to find out the "package was not completed". After a long sorted discussion with the Customer Service person I come to find out that no one, including Management wanted to honor the original quote. At this point I would like to thank Spectrum for treating me with such little respect. If they hadn't I would still be with them and dissatisfied. I am now with a different provider with more channels, faster internet and saving $50 per month! Don't be afraid to shop around. One other thing - Doing any business at this location expect to wait 45 - 60 minutes. read more
