I'm always amazed for some reason how people are still employed and companies are still business even when they have the absolute worst service. I cancelled my service for a number of reasons and made an appt to drop off my equipment. I brought everything in but the wonderful employee who can't do his job, didn't scan everything in. So now I get emails saying if I don't bring the equipment in, I'll be charged. Of course you can't reach the store directly so you call their 800#. And of course the person on the other line is blaming me for not getting a receipt. Oh and they need 7 days to find the equipment and during that time I'll still be charged. Thanks Spectrum, the store on Dale Mabry in Tampa and the waste of a customer service person on the 800#. Just confirmed the many reasons of why leaving was a great idea. read more

I went in to upgrade my iPhone, and the sales rep told me it would take about 30 minutes to sync and transfer my data. Two hours later, nothing had been done -- it was clear he didn't really know what he was doing. Since I had to leave, I asked for a refund of the $95 in taxes I had already paid. He said the credit would show up within a few hours, but here I am three days later and still no refund. Very frustrating experience. read more

I don't understand why Spectrum has a monopoly on retirement centers. They suck us in with low costs and then it goes up and up. Now paying $80 a month just for internet. This is ridiculous. We need more options other than Spectrum. read more

They have every HOA contract in Clearwater. You have no choice. I pity the people who have to work there. A simple transfer of location caused so many issues. The worst cable company ever. Spectrum strikes again! This horrible company sent me to collection. * Boosted my rate after promising it wouldn't. * Sent my account to collection after I canceled. * I won my dispute with credit agencies. * Collection agency called to say it is demanding $59 AGAIN!! Soectrum cuttimg off ESPN and Disney owned channels at this time of year is a travesty. Both greedy corporations are at fault but for Spectrum to not take the necessary steps to avoid this before football season is beyond unbelievable in terms of telling its customers F you ... we don't give a dam about you! I hope they and Disney both lose billions for putting greed before customers! I would switch to Direct TV in heartbeat if I wasn't living in a condo complex who contracts with Spectrum for our cable services. Shame on both Spectrum and Disney! read more

Since the Drew St. location closed, this one is the closest to my home. I recently decided to buy my own modem and save on the monthly charge for renting theirs. Box blew in storm last night. Spectrum could not bring new box until Tuesday. That does not work as I am work from home. They suggested we come to countryside mall to exchange. Get here and there is an extensive line. Told to expect to stand in line 45 minutes. Very inefficient. They could improve by providing automated returns line. They gave 1 line for everything. Wondering why they do not overnight box and provide return box for non functioning equipment like Direct does. Very disappointing. Got home and the password for the new box is not valid. Just called and waited in queue 30 mins. Listening to them trying to up-sell to mobile phone service. Think they should focus on improving the current Spectrum services first read more

DO NOT , I repeat DO NOT DO BUSINESS IN THIS STORE. Where do I begin, the worst experience of all my life with any company or branch. After a long wait for my equipment from spectrum i called and apparently someone made a mistake there and they were never shipped. So I decided with the help of a agent on the phone to go in one of the stores and take them myself. Drove 30 min to there and told the guy please make sure i have everything because i dont live close he nodded like yeah yeah I know. Drove back just to find out he forgot to give me a key cable to connect. Went to the store and they tried to make me guilty of forgetting TO TELLLLL THEM HOW TO DO THEIR JOBBBB. What a terrible company, what a terrible service. Just TERRIBLE read more

This rip off company deserves less than one star. I was on the phone for more than two hours trying to resolve a simple issue, no representative could help. Few of them told me that there was no supervisor they cannot transfer me to one. The others transferred me and put me on hold for more than 45 minutes and no nobody retrieved the call, I hanged up without my issue being resolved. I decided to cancel my service which was two days after the bill cycle, and was willing to pay for the service I used for the two days, they wanted me to pay the whole monthly subscription. I remember I went out of service for 4 days, they gave me only $10 credit, but they want me to pay the monthly amount for only two days service. This company is ripping people off. Stay away from this horrible company with the worst customer service and ripping people off. I'll make sure that all my relatives and friends won't take service from this company and preventing them from getting ripped off by spectrum. WORST COMPANY EVER. read more

Mom decided to switch from AT&T after 15 years of service to take advantage of family promotion plan. This was going to be complicated and require some time, patience and understanding from the person helping us, luckily that person was Morgan! Morgan knows what she's doing, she's a real professional. She's also kind and caring and that made all the difference. I'm sorry to say this is not the case with another lady who works there. In fact, if she was going to be the one helping us we were not even going to switch. Luckily we got Morgan and we can not recommend her enough. This is a review of Spectrum TV located in the mall. If I could give 0 stars I would. Tried to sign up for service and have had 3 confirmation calls but the technician never showed up! I called 4 times and was first told maybe the tech was stuck in traffic! Hello this is a technology company....wouldn't the driver have a cell phone and have called me or his dispatcher after being an hour late? Second call shows that my first call was never registered and third call I spoke to a nice young man in a big Square Midwestern State who said he would see what he could do but they were already booked for tomorrow . I realize this is a first world problem and I can probably live without cable but if I have to pay over $150 a month just to see television I would think they would treat me a little bit better. I will probably wind up doing what do all the younger people do, skip cable altogether and just use Netflix and Amazon Prime. Meanwhile it's almost 9 pm and my appointment was scheduled between 4 and 5. read more

Waiting in line outside of the store with several other customers not a problem for me but there are elderly people waiting in line too meanwhile the young girl taking names is sitting inside the store. When I mentioned to the young lady that it was not good customer service for her to be sitting inside the store while Spectrum customers are all standing outside waiting in line she said she was on her "break". Then she came out and asked if any one needed to take a seat and one elderly customer said "yes" she allowed him in to go sit. The couple behind me said if the wait was much longer they were going to go in and take a seat. read more

Called to start service. Specifically asked if we get 4 specific channels with streaming. Was promised we do. Also made sure to ask if you can add to the channels if necessary without cable, again promised we could. From the two weeks I called to start service has 6 different people come to my property saying they couldn't do anything. Spectrum charged me the entire time I never had service. I FINALLY get service and it's 25 channels for $90 and NONE of the channels I asked. Called up katelynn on spectrum telling me there's absolutely zero recourse about the complete lies of the previous customer service agent and that if I wanted what I asked the first woman/man/it/they I would have to rent a cable box and pay an extra $45 a month. I have been a client of Spectrum Internet for the last year now. When I started looking for an Internet provider the $29.99 advertised price is what caught my eye about Spectrum. I contacted them to connect to their internet service. I went through all the steps of providing all the required information etc. I was told that the first month was $44.99 which I assumed was for install cost etc. and the amount was not questioned by me. I agreed to do an auto-pay and then a month later I realized that I was still paying $44.99 when I was expecting to pay $29.99. I called Spectrum and I was told that the service was $29.99 when bundled with TV and Talk. I find this a very deceiving marketing campaign. Unfortunately it seems that there is no regulation of this ad campaign as it has been going on for a year already. Its now a year later after I signed up for the $29.99 Internet service which I paid $44.99 for per month. I have just received a letter from Spectrum to indicate that the price is now increasing to $70 per month. That is more than a 30% increase which is unacceptable. I called them to discuss this and I was indirectly told that if I don't like the price I could cancel the service. I was happy to renew another year at $44.99 per month however the retention team at Spectrum were not in the least interested in helping me with better pricing. I told them I would take a few days to consider the new price of $70 per month. I have had major issues with the quality of the connection, it does not stream live tv or movies properly and then there are also other issues like dropped connection. In the space of 1 year I had the Spectrum Service guys here to resolve issues 4 times and Spectrum can confirm this with my records. One of the service days I had planned to be home to be here for the repairs. The technician was scheduled to be here between 10-12pm. He arrived after 3pm so needless to say the service was pretty bad on that particular day. I decided to cancel the service with Spectrum and tried to call their retention's team once again to see if I could get a better price. No interest in helping me at all. I would like to ask Spectrum the following questions 1. Why is it that you constantly fill my mail box with your promotions? 2. Constantly get me to sign up for new services that I am not interested in? I would like to ask how is it that your marketing department works so hard to get new clients yet your price policies make it so easy for your retention staff to just say "Sorry there is nothing we can do to help you" It does not make sense. I have now signed up with Frontier Fios which will hopefully provide a better service. I did not want to end my subscription with Spectrum but I will not pay $70 or $60 when I can now get Fios for $49.99 including unlimited phone nationally. Spectrum Please remove my name from your mailing list and stop harassing me I do not want to do business with you again. I feel used up and spat out. Disgusting you have alienated me as a client. read more

I was in and out! I was returning my Spectrum equipment and I was in there for about ten minutes. Employees were very nice.

Living in an apartment I have only two choices for cable TV - Spectrum or Frontier. When I signed up with Spectrum, they offered me the option to purchase an Apple TV box which would provide access to Apple programming, at an additional fee over and above the equipment cost, and give me unlimited recording of content for later viewing. I am a loyal Apple consumer owning numerous items. The setup may be easy for a computer nerd, but not a computer savvy senior citizen. But any time there is a Spectrum system outage and you are trying to get everything up and going again it generally means a call into technical support. The second they find out you are using the Apple box they say its not their problem and you get transferred to Spectrum's Apple tech support. The Apple tech support will generally refer you back to Spectrum. Or, they suggest calling Apple! Neither tech support seems to be able or willing to help. This scenario has happened to me three times. Make sure you are on a first name basis with a computer technology service person if you go the route i did. read more

If I could give a zero for star ratings, I would. Stuck with this internet provider, and the customer service is lacking, to say the least. Intermittent service often, and they overcharge. They raise your bill annually, and give nothing in return for charging more. No prorated last bill - so they take your money for services even after you've cancelled. Highly recommend staying away from this company if you have another option for an ISP. read more
