I needed help with a random bug my pc developed out of nowhere, it was unusable. Constant freezes and sudden random new tab replications... At first they attempted to replicate the issue at the store but it didn't work, so they've asked me to bring my power cord, mouse and keyboard. They dug and dug and found the issue! A couple of corrupt drives my razed synapse downloaded (or incorrectly downloaded). A few updates later, I got my pc back!!! Thank you guys for being persistent and actually caring about my pc! Felt so excited to visit my parent who needed help with her apple computers cracked screen. Walked in and was immediately eyed up and down by two men who aggressively asked what I wanted. When I explained I had a computer for repair the main person behind the counter crossed his arms and said he'd need $60 before he'd look at it. What a joke! Said thank you and I'd see where else I could go and he said good luck. So my mom Called apple and after speaking with someone helpful got an estimate for the repair right away. Pinellas Computers has become my go-to place for PC repair. I took them a failing external hard drive that I was using to back up my MacBook. After installing Yosemite, my external drive stopped functioning, which was a major blow as it held all my pictures, documents, my music library, etc. -- all the files that I wanted/needed. Another local computer shop somewhat close to Pinellas Computers had my drive for nearly two weeks and never got past the initial troubleshooting or research phase. After dropping my drive at Pinellas Computers, I got a call back within hours with the root cause of the drive's failure, a recommended solution, and a cost estimate for the work. The staff at Pinellas Computers were able to finish cloning my old drive and moving all my files to the new drive in a couple of business days. This was a great turn-around time being that 1) I had a ton of backups to clone (250+ GB) and 2) the drive and backups were in a native Mac format. Since then, Pinellas Computers has also helped me by looking into an issue with restoring some application files from the backup. Even tho we could't get the files restored due to a compatibility issue between different version of OS X, they didn't charge me for their time spent working on the issue. In closing, Pinellas Computers is my only PC repair shop now, for Windows or Mac, hardware or software issues. The staff are very friendly and courteous, yet totally professional and clearly knowledgeable about their craft. What's more, they update service tickets regularly, providing the option of email updates for their customers. Pinellas Computers also has VERY reasonable rates for components and labor. Don't go anywhere else for computer-related issues. PS: this is coming from an IT professional (20 yrs industry experience) with a background in end-user support, and someone with high standards for support and service. I have been using this group for years and they are always responsible and responsive with fair pricing.

They placed a charge on my credit card of $37 six months after I cancelled one of their subscriptions. I am certainly not happy with a random charge of $37 coming through on my credit card six months after the fact. I don't remember agreeing to this $37 charge. I do not recommend signing up for one of their maintenance or virus subscriptions. I was talking today with Ryan, the owner of the company, who says he is 29 years old. He is threatening to take me to court and that I will pay their attorney $200+ per hour for collection actions on this charge of $37. The owner Ryan says that he has sent his attorney to collect charges from his clients before. I don't recommend anyone do business with someone so willing to send their attorney after someone for $37. After I posted a review online, Ryan called me back up and used the f-word 3 times and AGAIN threatened to take me to court. Also, their "contract" in the fine print says that they will charge $75+ if you dispute a credit card transaction and also that they can potentially remotely disable your devices. I don't recommend giving them your credit card number. I wished I had read the fine print!!! read more

Bad experience with this branch of a generally well regarded computer repair business. I spent over $100 having 'multi viruses ' removed to resolve a (as it turns out, well-known) compatibility issue between W8.1 & IE11. The problem returned within 2 weeks and the alleged manager Bob lied (I'll be fair, he may just be incompetent) that it was due to further downloaded viruses and demanded a further $60, without any assurances that the problem would not recur. Awful customer handling. All they wanted to do was sell me anti-virus service. Eventually resolved the problem myself using Microsoft.com and Google. As I said, it's a well known problem and nothing to do with viruses. They should know that. Pinellas Computers, you've lost a customer forever. read more

My computer crashed one day...I took it in the next day and had a new hard drive two days later. This included backing up my files, adding some safe guards to my computer and reinstalling everything I needed. I had phone and email updates along the way. Everyone in the shop is pleasant and knowledgeable. I'm a real computer idiot but they explained things so even I could understand! I can't imagine going anywhere else! read more

My computer was slow and was hanging up using Internet Explorer and unable to update one of the Windows updates and could not send attachments through Yahoo Mail. I had Webroot and Malware up to date and running. Had a free check up and found no hardware problems. I paid the $49 to have a clean up and am very happy with Nick who took care of my computer. I can now send attachments and IE is working fine as well as all updates. I took it in on a Sat. and had it back home on Monday. Very friendly as well as fast and it was to the penny that they quoated me. read more

Initially Pinellas computer tuned up my PC at their location. I was pleased so set up a home appointment to overcome a chromecast/PC compatibility issue. Schedule was set from 2 to 4pm. At 3:45pm I called to check. I was informed that they rescheduled me from 4 to 6 although they did not tell me of the change. (Fool me once, shame on them.) Then after waiting again, I called again at 5:45pm. Personnel said there was a communication glitch with the traveling home techs. So on this day, I waited 4 hours for them without any communication to me although I called them twice. (Fool me twice, shame on me.) I cancelled and will not use them again.
