Recently made a purchase at the Tyrone store and had a question about delivery confirmation. Store…read morereceipt doesn't show a contact # or name; therefore, you must go on line to determine # to call for help. Discovered that stores do not take calls & all calls are forwarded to a central call center which is not local nor in the US. Simple request to amend contact info resulted in non-resolution & followup call next day showed change not yet made. Again explained what is needed and was told that resolution would be available in 24 hrs. This was very frustrating because when you call, AI responds & transfer to a real representative occurs only when you insist. It appears that, to streamline processing, no one at the store can be contacted directly. This is certainly an awkward and frustrating process. There are very few employees on the sales floor and those who are there are not attentive & assistance must be requested through the service desk at the front of the store. In all the years that I have dealt with Best Buy, this is the worst customer service that I have had. Customer service process stinks!

After waiting well over an hour for Geek Squad (yes, I was a walk-in) member, I was told the Protection Plan would not cover it. I spoke with a manager who said it was policy. I was lied to by the phone company saleman about the protection policy, but the protection policy. Since that Policy money goes to Best Buy, if Best Buy cared at all about customers, their policy would be to give me a managerial override. Their customer service is the worst of any store I have gone to. They could improve by taking lessons in customer service from Publix. They do not care about their customers. Besides, a restocking fee for something they probably sell as open box or at their outlet is another way to bleed the customer and discourage exchanges. That charge is the only reason I kept the phone.
