After dropping off my computer, I got a call the same day from Steven letting me know that I needed a new hard drive. Steven provided options including a new solid state drive that I chose. He was able to recover everything on my disk, transfer it to the solid state drive, including all my Microsoft software, etc. He even uploaded a free and top-rated anti-virus software. I took my laptop to Discount Computer Repair yesterday for 2 problems: 1)Google maps had begun running extremely slow. And 2) PDFs were not opening. I was told "Google maps is a huge program". No help there. And Vista doesn't support recent Adobe updates. I paid and left. I get home and discover the font on my laptop is nearly unreadable. It is very light and blurry and causing serious strain on my eyes. I call Steven, the repair person, and ask what he did that might have caused this. He says he doesn't know, but I can bring it back. He suggests I change the screen brightness level and hangs up the phone on me. I try that. It has no impact. I call back and ask if he can research the problem online, and he hangs up again. I have taken my laptop to him 3 times before, and whereas Steven has never been what you would call personable, he is downright nasty when told there is a problem with his service. I'm sorry I ever referred business to him. Now I'll have to pay another service to fix whatever he did. read more
