They are allowing phone scammers to abuse their service using spoofed numbers. The scammers can…read morespoof a number but cannot hide the VOIP network the callers are using. I've been getting calls from all kinds of numbers on their network every day this week.

like apparently everyone else who came to review:…read more I had a myriad of problems today with Spectrum. I talked to 6 (you read that right) representatives and still am not situated with my service. I'm setting up a new service; 2 representatives put orders in for only half of my equipment. Another tells me just to go into the store and pick up my equipment. I get to this location and Amber, the world's rudest, nastiest, and most incompetent "customer service" representative I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to (seriously I really can't fathom Spectrum hiring anyone worse), tells me "the policy changed yesterday" and that she could only issue me the router without the modem. She tells me I have to wait until the 25th (so 4 days without internet as a law student) to get my modem in the mail. She tells me to go call her director or customer service. So I go out to my car, and I call customer service. They then told me to put someone in the store on the phone to tell them I am supposed to have my modem. Long story short, I get my modem. I get all the way home and realized that Amber either intentionally or ignorantly gave me the wrong router. So I go all the way back to this location for them to then tell me they just ran out of "the tall routers" (ie the 5G). So due pretty much largely to the incompetence of the one and only "Amber," I now have to drive 30 minutes to Seminole. So I drive to Spectrum Seminole who, with the kindest service I've received all day from this sub-par company, immediately give me the correct equipment. This location is abhorrent. Do better. And Amber, you're the actual worst.

So disappointed as I was really looking forward to moving my service to Frontier/ Verizon Fios…read more However this was not to be. My original install was scheduled for July 5th. When no equipment or installers arrived, I spent an hour and a half on the telephone trying to sort it out. The four people I spoke with all apologized and couldn't understand why or how it had been canceled. An email arrived advising that I was to do a self install, although no equipment has ever been sent and it would be impossible for me to install FIOS! Another install was scheduled and assurances made that the installers would in fact come the following week July 10, and the equipment would be there prior to that date. When no equipment arrived and they did not show for a 2nd time today, I called in to cancel. 6 different people all politely apologized to me and tried to assure me that they would come on a third scheduled appointment on the 12th! Seriously? Imagine my surprise when I received a bill today from Frontier for services started on July 5 ( original scheduled install date) Dennis in the retention department finally was able to cancel my order, cancel my account, and request credit removing all charges. Yet it will be 7-10 days for approval, he tells me not to pay this account, and there shouldn't be a problem. I have an order confirmation # and it won't be a surprise to me if I have to follow up on this also. I have no confidence in Frontier after so many blunders and wasted time. My service was never even started, but they are billing me for it. Each time I have had to call in, it take several people and about an hour and a half transferring you between departments. Do you have time for this? I would hope this organization takes a real look at their lack of communication between departments and becomes more proactive than apologetic.

I had a very bad experience with this AT&T store. Five weeks into my new phone, I have cracks in…read moreall four corners of the protective glass. I looked online and saw that the specific case I purchased is considered to have a design defect -- it doesn't properly grip the phone and creates pressure that cracks the protective screen when dropped from about a foot -- from head to desk. Gavin, the store manager, not only claimed not to have heard about this defect, he denied it existed even though I can't imagine how he could come to that conclusion without any data. He refused to let me show him websites discussing the defect. I had been told (given an express warranty) that I could get the screen protector replaced for life. I brought up the fact that I wasn't good at attaching the protective screen. My sales rep told me she would do it -- certainly implying I could get a warranty replacement at the store. She certainly never mentioned that I have to email the screen protector company and she very much did not mention that the screen protector company charges a minimum of $10 shipping and handling for a replacement. Even more if you want it shipped quickly. When I was told I would not receive what was promised with regard to the screen protector, I asked to return the case. Well they only accept returns for 14 days and I was on day 37. Meanwhile I ordered a new case from Amazon. So to summarize: I was sold a defective case and I was misled about the warranty on the screen protector. But honestly I think the worst part was the Gavin the manager's incredible condescension towards me. He insisted that 37 days ago his employee never misspoke about the screen protector warranty. I'm glad Gavin sticks up for his employees but of course he was just making that up -- he had absolutely no way to know what was said to me when I purchased the items. Gavin was supremely confident in an arrogant and insulting way. One other point --- this is a third-party AT&T store. In other words, it's not an AT&T store -- it's a private business that only sells AT&T products. This store's only incentive is to sell, sell, sell -- since AT&T provides the support to customers generally. Gavin's store had no reason to treat me well or to honor the express warranty. I think you're much better off going to an AT&T store that is actually owned and managed by AT&T. I still have the notes my sales rep took when she was trying to upsell me on a plan and other products. It would have been nice if she spent that time providing proper support and explanation of what I was buying and how the warranty works.
