They are an all encompassing company that knows how to make a project move along properly. We were unaware of the dryer not being hooked up properly -- FIRE HAZZARD -- and they went out of their way to get this fixed before laying down insulation. They did not respond to me all summer, and when I finally got in touch with them, the head guy blamed ME for not calling the office rather than emailing. I was referred to this company by Issaquah Pest Control when that company stopped servicing Sno Co. Snohomish Pest Control did an adequate job, but then they got a new owner in the spring of 2026 and did not inform the customers. The official company email then stopped working, so I kept trying to email the old email and did not get a response. Then, I completed the "inquiry" form online and got an automated message that they would contact me soon. Nobody ever did. When I FINALLY tracked down the owner, he basically told me it was my fault that I never physically called the office. Well, I'm a busy wife, mother and home manager. I rarely CALL offices during business hours. If I email, text AND submit an online inquiry, I expect a response. We fired Snohomish Pest Control and are back with Issaquah Pest Control. They were out at our place last week and I could not have been happier with their service.

I hired JCL insulation to spray closed cell spray foam in my new build. I was quoted a price and 4…read moredays to complete. They came out and started masking but had to hold off to start spraying because of cold weather. They ran into issues with broken spray equipment running out of foam blah blah blah. The owner is really good at making excuses for his short falls. I get people have things come up and delays happen. (I own a remodel company ) These guys had every excuse in the book. To top it off one night they were working late and the gun was not working but his daughter continued to spray and ruin nearly the entire place. And spray foam on floor, windows,door frames all over everything. After this they had to grind out all the bad foam and then respray. This was another head ache. Guys show up and the no one then I am promised a full crew then one person showed up. Then during the grind out they ground into electrical wires and telecommunication wire. I am not talki one or two. Try 7 separate circuits multiple time and 3 communication wires. Given the wiring is behind spray foam, this was a major problem. They also made a huge mess of the site, all in all I had to fire them and kick them off the property after 5 weeks of back and forth. I also had to file and insurance claim against JCL due to the massive amount of damages and clean up. They ruined brand new sliders and sprayed foam all over shower valves toiles and custom glass. THIS COMPANY TOOK ZERO CARE IN MY PROJECT THAT I HAVE PUT MY HEART AND SOUL INTO. RUN RUN RUN!

And of course ensuring the rats would no longer be a problem in the future. This company has both an insulation service and a pest service. Their process was to removed the old insulation and seal the crawlspace from further pests, making sure over the next 2 weeks there was no new incursion of pests, and then installing the new insulation. We will also use their pest service for the next year at least. I should also note that during their initial inspection, they found 2 water leaks and connected me with a great plumber (Danika Plumbing) to get those addressed before the new installation. The other quote I got from a competitor did not find those leaks. I am very happy with this company. They are professional, competent, friendly, and their price was competitive. I highly recommend them.

We chose this company to completely redo our crawlspace and paid a higher price than other…read morecompanies because we felt the value was in their warranty and the peace of mind of having the work backed for years to come. Unfortunately, the follow-through afterward has been extremely frustrating. The initial crew did a great job. The problem has been the subsequent inspections and the pest control department. The people they've sent out for follow-up inspections have not seemed nearly as thorough or competent as the original crew. On one occasion, the inspector appeared to go only a couple of feet into the crawlspace before saying everything looked great. How is that considered a thorough inspection of an entire crawlspace? We also had a bee problem and contacted their pest control department. We were told they only treat as high as they can reach unless there is a visibly active hive. A handyman eventually found the hives in our gutters and took care of the problem, so we had to hire someone else to resolve an issue we had originally brought to this company. The scheduling and communication have also been extremely poor. They tell you what day they are coming, and if that date doesn't work, it can be nearly impossible to reach anyone in the pest department to reschedule. Calls frequently aren't returned, and emails sometimes go unanswered. This has happened on multiple occasions, not just once. We've repeatedly been told they are short staffed. I understand staffing issues happen, but at some point that becomes a company issue--not something the customer should have to continually deal with, especially when we've paid a premium for ongoing service and a warranty. Most recently, I emailed asking what other dates were available since I couldn't get anyone to return my calls. I was told, "nothing unfortunately." I then asked again for a callback so we could actually find a date and get this resolved. Instead, I received another email saying they were short staffed. So where does that leave me as a customer? I have a warranty that I'm supposed to have confidence in, yet I can't even get someone to schedule the follow-up service. It's disappointing because we specifically chose this company over less expensive options because we believed we were paying for quality, service, and long-term peace of mind. The initial work was good, but a warranty is only valuable if the company can actually stand behind it.

Unfortunately, their bid was over $2,000 more than the other companies we got bids from (these companies were not listed as Energy Trust of Oregon companies). There was a $2,000 energy incentive for us to add more insulation, but we would not have seen a penny of it and they still would have cost more than other companies. I thought the $2,000 incentive was supposed to benefit the home owner, not the company.

Initially I was impressed with how quick Phy came out and gave a reasonably priced quote with quick…read morecommunication about insulating my crawl space. I received quotes from three other companies and decided to go with Phy. We set an appointment, which I apologetically missed due to family being in town. He understood and another appointment was made. This time I made sure we were home. His crew (no Phy this time) showed up on the appointment date a little early and was ready to get to work! Phy told me the project should only take about a day to a day and a half. My first clue that things would not go well should have started when the two gentlemen that showed up were done by midday. As I didn't have time to watch or enter the crawl space I asked them if they had done all the things that were written on the contract. The man who said he was Phy's brother said that they did remove all old moisture barrier and that he rewrapped the ducting as it was starting to fall off. He then denied that any of the other services needed to be done. I should have inspected myself I know. A little while later I was able to go into the crawl space and was not pleased with what I saw. The old moisture barrier including debris and trash was just covered with a new layer of moisture barrier. Insulation was falling down already less than a month after install. The water line was not wrapped as per the contract. The strips of wood they used to secure the insulation were already starting to fall off. There was no wall treatment but to my fault as i did not state so in my communication with Phy or have it put into the contract. Then as I crawled further into the crawl space I find that they did not even finish. The pictures of the nice neat jobs on yelp were not what I received. Phy also told me that he found a rat carcass but the crew that showed said they didn't see one... so who is telling the truth? I tend to believe Phy at this point because all else that was wrong with the install, which means somewhere I have a dead rat in my crawl space. I promptly email Phy and to his credit he quickly replied, apologized, stated he was out of town, and would resolve the issue as soon as he came back. I received no reply in the timeframe he gave. A few more emails with no reply. I then stated I would be leaving a negative review and got a reply. Phy told me he was out of the country with a family emergency and apologized. I get it. When you own your own small business, family things come up and prevent you from being able to do business. (See above that I missed our initial appointment due to family.). Phy replies that he needed to check his schedule and would get back to me. No response. I waited. No response. I tried emailing again. No response. I have tried phone calls with no response. Not sure how else to get a hold of him. Granted my house is better than it was when we had no insulation but I had hoped for better service and quick replies as I started with. Phy does offer a one year warranty but so far that isn't helping me.
