Looking at it from the attic he could see some roofing nails. All the other 3 companies I had give an estimate said the same thing. My house is 62 years old and is very solidly built. When he did the bid he included 3 sheets of plywood just in case. He did not want to include all the sheets in case it did not need it but said that any additional sheets would be billed at an additional cost. If it was needed, it would take 50 sheets to cover the entire roof. I planned on needing the 50 sheets, so I added that cost to his bid and went with them. When it was all done, he said that it was 58 sheets (which I question, all the other companies I had give me an estimate said it would be 50 sheets). He did not give me the credit for the 3 sheets he added to the bid, saying they were in addition to the extra ones. Needless to say, it cost more than the bid. I would say watch what they are doing and take note of the supplies. The work looks good, except the flashing on the chimney. After not hearing back from them about it, I am having another company come and fix it. I don't really trust them to do it correctly. Only go with them if you want to pay more than they quote.

I have a metal roof and gutters with gutter guards. They company that used to do an excellent job on my roof (I'll call them "JB") is a janitorial firm that appears to no longer do roofs. I called AA based on reviews and explained that my roof was quite dirty with pollen and was clear with them it was metal. They said they would come and blow the roof off and see what else could be done. They did NOT come right out and say they could not clean up pollen. They quoted me a price lower than the previous company had been charging, so I scheduled the work about three weeks out. The tech came out late in the afternoon, spent a LOT of time looking around and talking to the office and then told me that they could only blow debris off. To do a wash would take two people a full day and cost around $2,000. Sorry, that's NOT going to happen! I said go ahead and blow the roof off, there was plenty of Douglas fir cones and other debris that needed to come off anyway. The work was fine for what it was, though there's still a mess of pollen up there. I would have preferred that they just say "we don't clean metal roofs because you won't be happy with the results."

I hired Gale Contractor Services to insulate our garage as it is being used as a workshop. The two guys that were performing the work did not speak English well and we could not convey the concerns to them. We were surprised that there was nobody here to give direction or at least someone we could talk to. 1. They did not vacuum the interior walls before starting the work and we could not communicate to them that we didn't want the rat droppings sealed into the wall. So (we) had to go out there and vacuum up. 2. They did not clean up after the job, leaving debris and staples all over the garage floor. Not what I expected from a professional service. 3. There are some rips in the white covering which I believe should have been taped. Holes cut around outlets, lights, etc. have partial tape. 4. Most staples are only 1/2 way in and look like they will come out very easily. I would like someone to come out ASAP to look at this work and finish it to our satisfaction. I did a lot of research before choosing your company based on recommendations - I don't think that your company has a reputation for sloppy work. I chose your company to to this work for us - correctly." Charles came out and affirmed the installation was done poorly and offered a $150 discount since we had another person coming in to install sheet rock that day and could not wait to have them fix the issues. We ended up paying the sheet rock guy $400 extra for him to fix Gale contractor's shoddy work, which took 1/2 day for him to do.
