The fence was between me and our neighbor, so we were splitting the cost between us. My neighbor wanted to get 2 more quotes and also wanted General Rot to come out and see the fence in person and verify the quote so there wouldn't be any surprises. They happily came out and confirmed the quote. General Rot came in with the lowest bid and we went ahead and scheduled them to do the work. Roman was great to work with and he and his crew did a fantastic job and explained everything along the way. They were able to use all the fence panels, but cut off the rotten ends of the 2x4's at the bottom that would connect to the new post. I really liked that they use screws instead of nails. After he didn't show, I called him, & he rescheduled for the very next day (why did it take him weeks to get me in before?). And then he canceled the SECOND appointment an hour or two before the appointment window was ending, so effectively, a no-show 2 days in a row. (I had taken 2 days off work for him.) He told me he "didn't do" the floor repairs I needed an estimate of, though he had scheduled me for exactly that in the first place, & prior to the FIRST missed appointment, he already had photos of my flooring. Then he never texted back after just telling me he wouldn't help me. His communication was consistently slow or absent. One of the worst parts was that when I wrote a complaint about him on Yelp, he had the nerve to reply & say he had never heard of me & that we had never done business together, not realizing I've got ALL the receipts--incoming & outgoing phone calls to his phone number, and texts showing exactly what he said to me & when he said it--he even signed his name to those texts. When I called him out on his outright lies, telling him I could prove it, he literally immediately deleted & rewrote his reply to me to be all sweet and apologetic, which REPLACED the answer where he basically called me a liar & said he had no idea who I was and that we had never been in contact. Not only did they install a beautiful custom made railing on my interior stairs and the bridge that connects both sides of my upstairs, they also coordinated with their subcontractor, Prymych Home Services, to replace my carpeting with LVP flooring. City Bee ran both the railing and flooring projects so I had one quote, one contract and one project manager. Their price was very competitive, they did high quality work, and they finished in a timely manner. Oleksandr, the owner, project managed everything and made himself available all throughout the project. He was very responsive to all my questions and provided thorough answers so I could understand the technical aspects of the work. It was a big home repair. When their team came out, I kept constant watch on their work. I've had several contractors cut corners in the past. I was so happy to see Arthur taking his time and doing the job correctly, even when it required more work on their end. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile. They put in 11 hour days and brought out 6 people to make sure the job was done within a reasonable time frame. They also cleaned up after themselves. Something most contractors don't do. I'm thankful that I found Absolute Rot Repair. They are polite, hard working and highly professional. I highly recommend them.

Reached out to them for a repair after I cleaned up some moldy MDF baseboards, where the drywall…read moresucked up water coming in under the baseboard. Scope was to replace drywall, paint and texture match, install new PVC baseboards and caulk everything. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work around which was 14 sqft and drywall and 12 linear feet of trim replacement. I keep buckets of paint for all the paint used in the house so matching was easy. The drywall work and paint work was superb, absolutely zero complaints it looks like it never happened. Comparing Fast Patch crew's work to the guys who did the bathroom originally makes the original folk's look like toddlers. Fast Patch made very precise cuts for cutouts and didn't need to slap on mud to fill huge holes. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I know it sounds small but you'd be surprised... I did ask them to caulk the baseboards to the floor and that didn't go so great. I get there can be some weirdness when caulking across a grout line so I expect imperfections in those areas, but the person left the tape used to square the caulk for over an 1 hour on the floor so when it was removed it ripped the caulk and lifted the seal from the floor and ripped out many tiny sections so the gap still exists. So it will need to be all scraped out and redone to get a good seal. In their defense they are a drywall company so not sure if my complaint is too valid, but it does mean more work for me immediately after the repair. If I need a drywall or paint job in a more isolated place i.e. middle of wall ceiling I would 100% use again.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Oleksandr and his team at Kovch Construction!…read more There were over a dozen huge holes in my walls after doing a full plumbing repipe in my new house, so everything needed drywall patches, mud, paint, and texture. There were also holes through the backs of the cabinets under every sink. I collected a LOT of estimates. Most people wanted over twice what Oleksandr quoted - and didn't have the glowing positive reviews he has, especially noting the quality and cleanliness of his work. Spoiler warning: the other reviews were right! Oleksandr and his team were so polite and professional (including punctual and communicative!). Whenever I asked a question or pointed out something important to me (like carefully covering the brand-new mini-split to protect it from drywall dust, or making sure my gecko's heater was safe near the plastic sheeting), they listened carefully and made sure I was satisfied with the answer. That's a big deal for someone with schema about "not bothering people". There were a LOT of little touches that proved they cared and respected my property. I felt comfortable and secure leaving my house for three days while they worked. The other companies I asked told me they "couldn't repair" the sink cabinet holes, despite the fact that I kept the removed pieces which had pretty clean edges. One guy insisted he would only repair them with plywood, but most said I would just have to live with the holes. Oleksandr set my expectations that he could reinstall the pieces, but they might not look perfect. That was fine by me! And yet, they actually ended up FAR better than expected. They fixed the drywall, replaced the cabinet pieces, and sealed the edges - sure you can see the cabinet repairs if you look for them, but in ambient lighting, the under-sink patches are pretty well unnoticeable. The quality of the finished wall work totally blew me away. You would never have known there were holes everywhere. I absolutely marveled when they were done - walking around my house with my mouth agape, like I'd never been in a house before. I'm not exaggerating - I'm so, so pleased. They even smoothed out the ugly screw pops in my stairway! These pros left my place EXTREMELY clean considering how horribly messy drywall dust is. What little I found after they left couldn't even count as being "dusty" (and not a SPECK was on the mini-split). And they remembered to put the carpet protectors back on my sofa feet when they moved it back into place, and very kindly checked the exact placement of my home theater speakers (of utmost concern to me). This kind of project is super stressful for anyone, and especially for a first-time homeowner. It's rare and difficult to find businesses you can trust in this world. I'm so grateful to Oleksandr and his team for making this process so easy on me, and with fantastic results - it couldn't have gone any better even if I'd paid twice as much. I'll definitely call Kovch Construction next time I need anything they do, and I'll gladly recommend them to everyone who mentions a similar project to me!

He provided me a detailed quote via email the following day as promised, and the price was very reasonable for the job I was asking them to do. They arrived every day at 9am sharp, as they said they would and completed in 3 days (also as promised), and it looks perfect! Looks like they installed it over brand new framing. Good drywallers can make it look like its perfect behind those old walls and these guys did it expertly! Will absolutely use this company again.
