Robert and his crew are great to work with. We originally hired another company to dig two holes due to a electrical issue. That company left a complete mess (and a huge invoice significantly above their bid). We asked Robert to come estimate on the filling of these two holes as well as to fix the newly broken downspout drainage pipe (the original company also burst the main water pipe). Also asked him about some asphalt areas that were affected by tree roots. Hired him to do all of it. They did a great job filling, removing, and paving. Everything was also completed before deadline and any debris was cleaned up. In the future, my plan is to hire him to seal my asphalt. His price is very competitive also. And scheduling was easy. He responds immediately when you contact him, and most importantly I find he is a honest businessman. read more

We needed our sidewalk replaced for safety reasons. Roberto came to our home, listened carefully, and made a competitive proposal. Not only that, but he also made certain it followed county building codes. The final price was exactly what Roberto quoted, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. This is the second time we have hired Roberto and his crew. I can't say enough good! read more

Thank you TRJ Construction!!! We needed a cement contractor for our garage project who could follow our approved permit plans. After five bids, we selected TRJ Construction. Inspection from City of Lynwood and our contractor got approved without any problems. Robert is very personable. He answered all our calls and/or concerns immediately and/or called back in a timely manner. They worked diligently through snow and/or rain. Would definitely use TRJ Construction again. read more

TRJ Construction did a great job on my 180 ft sidewalk & asphalt project. Inspector said it was an excellent looking sidewalk as well. Robert the manager was always around to make sure the project was going smoothly and all the guys are nice and very hard workers. This team is professional and I will definitely be hiring them for future work. Thanks again TRJ. read more

Roberto and his team did an excellent job installing an exposed aggregate patio in our backyard. They removed old steps and landing and a lot of dirt to make sure the foundation was level and supported by rebar. They followed our design to a tee and got job done in only two days! His whole team was very kind and easy to work with. We plan to work with them again for our driveway. Highly recommend. read more

I called, got estimate from Robert, he was quick to schedule an appt to stop by, gave me estimate for my front and back walkway. I love his recommendation and idea over other quotes, he is reasonable when it comes to pricing. They schedule me and got it done in 2 days. It looks great! His crew was amazing, they worked really hard in this hot weather. I highly recommend them as I had a good experience. I would use them again in the future. read more

Had an old driveway slab removed and replaced with new concrete. I had asked another company to quote prior but they never showed up, so it was a pleasure to work with Robert. He was responsive, quick, and very knowledgeable. I did some research on pricing online prior to looking for quotes and he was in line with what I found. I will be using TRJ again for sure for another slab on my property that is in need of replacing. read more

I would give TRJ Construction 10 stars if I could! I'm still in awe of the work Roberto and his crew performed in only 2 days, one of which was during a wild rainstorm! I posted a request on Yelp for masons to give me an estimate to widen my driveway. This entailed removing an existing concrete wall, hauling it away, removing the dirt, installing a drain pipe behind the wall, adding gravel, installing concrete blocks to build the new wall, and filling it back with dirt. Out of the 6 masons contacted, one never answered; another said they don't work with concrete; three gave me estimates that were THOUSANDS of dollars more than TRJ (over $6,000 more). Roberto answered me immediately, came to my house, gave me an estimate right away, and performed the job exactly how and when he said he would. They made sure my drain was working perfectly before they left. They removed all of the moss and plants growing in the driveway and added gravel on the side where the retaining wall had been so it was smooth and blended perfectly. And that was not all! His crew took care to replant a large fern and, as an extra favor, they shoveled the pile of garden soil that was already in my driveway on top of the new area for me. My neighbors were very impressed with their work ethic and have asked him for estimates for their own property. I wish Roberto and his team well because they really deserve it. read more

I recently had Roberto and his team install a set of concrete steps on my property. During the project we had a number of unforseen changes required, but the team handled everything quickly and efficiently. We love the work, and even had them install a new fence to go with the steps. Would highly recommend TRJ for any projects! read more

Look no further, Robert and his guys are great. Robert has mastered the art of communication like no other contractor before. He got back to me in minutes of my request at 10pm at night. We messaged about the project by text / phone. He came by first thing the next day and gave me an estimate. I said "let's do this" and he was back with his crew the following morning. They got it done in a few hours - wow! He knows his stuff and did everything I could have asked for and more! He even got accosted by a random SDOT inspector but talked sense into them. If you need an expert who communicates better than anyone I've ever met, Robert is your guy. I am thrilled my driveway is fixed, no more car bumper scraping or trip hazards, and in record time. It looks great too. read more

I had this team install a concrete driveway with exposed aggregate. The driveway is about 800 ft.² and is irregularly shaped. They took the extra initiative to expand the driveway footprint so that it looks much more symmetrical and fixed some flaws in the existing driveway design without my asking. They cleaned up after themselves every day and finished exactly when they said they were going to. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I'd definitely use them again. read more

The TRJ Construction crew are total pros from start to finish. They just replaced our crumbling, single-car asphalt driveway that had a serious lack of drainage. They initially estimated it as a 2-day job but easily finished in a single day. I was especially impressed with the crew's depth of experience and attention to detail, especially when cutting a tricky curved edge on an existing concrete walk. They gave extra attention to developing as much slope as they could squeeze out. Was also very pleased with every step of planning and clear communication. I'd say our curb appeal has gotten a big boost! read more

Had them do a small project (move a retaining wall back 5 feet and remove associated dirt) this last month. Overall I was very pleased with the work done and the cost associated. My only complaint (very small) is that communication could be a little more timely. But the communications I received were always clear and any dates in the communications were met. Because there was nothing dependent on their work, it had no impact on my overall impression of the work. I would not hesitate to hire them again if I need more work done. Mike McMahon read more

Worked with Roberto on a new concrete slab, broom finish. He and his team were efficient, fast and cleaned up after like they had never been there! They came earlier in the morning than scheduled and brought concrete from a nearby concrete plant, rather than doing any kind of mixing on the spot. This resulted in an evenly poured slab that looks great and has been solid thus far. Roberto was friendly, very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining the details of the project with me to ensure it would be a quality result. Look forward to working with him on future projects! read more

Roberto and team did an excellent job on our recent RV Pad paving project. They responded quickly to our request for a cost estimate and were reasonably priced. A supposed employee of the company came by and looked at our chimney which he saw needed work. He looked at the job and said he would get us an estimate. The next day he showed up again and was writing out his proposal. He then said he would email the proposal to me as the document didn't have enough room to write it out. He said that he would email the proposal to me. He never returned or sent me any proposal. I was very unimpressed and later contacted another business who came by the same day and explained what needed to be done and gave us a proposal. I am uncertain if this person even worked for your company. If he does you need to straighten this out and make some heart felt apologies. read more

Hired to replace my large, deteriorating driveway. Roberto is wonderful - polite, informative. The crew was amazing. Tore up the old asphalt and laid gravel bed the first day. The next day they did the tamping and leveling, then laid the new asphalt, again tamping and leveling. Beautiful job! Cost was competitive. They completely cleaned up all mess afterwards, even replacing the rock borders around the plants. I have complete trust in and wholeheartedly endorse and recommend TRJ. read more

We had a 10x20 concrete pad poured. Robert came to our house for a bid the day after we contacted him. He was very responsive to emails and arrived with his crew when promised. I had Robert and his team pave our driveway last year. They did a fantastic job. His cost was competitive and he paid very close attention to the small additions I had requested. He also didn't blink when I asked him to remove a tree root that was bulging and cracking the previous asphalt. Other contractors were nowhere near as "can do" when I bid the work. The only small issue was timely communication. read more

I had a hard time finding someone to pour our concrete patio under our deck, and I'm so glad i found Roberto! Found him here on Yelp and based on previous reviews had him come bid. His price was fair, and I also really liked him. Roberto was kind, seemed knowledgeable and also gave me good suggestions for our patio that was being poured on very uneven ground. Our job got delayed by the insane heat wave when nobody could be pouring concrete. They came out the very next week and did our whole job, including very extensive prep work, in 3-4 days. We love our patio!! They did a very professional job, took care to not damage our plants or deck posts our house, and made even the cuts in the concrete look good. Would hire him again in a heart beat! read more

These guys are a breath of fresh air. I called, they answered. We set an appointment, Roberto showed up on time. He gave me a written estimate in a matter of minutes and was able to work me into his schedule. Few days later the crew showed up on time and got right to work. Their prices are reasonable. They were thorough, fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. The repairs were finished in one day. When competency, customer service, efficiency, and asphalt collide you get TRJ Construction. I had two other companies that were highly rated on yelp and google both no show to appointments and not return calls or answer the phone. Those companies were only interested in complete demolition and contracting a totally new driveway and that's why they ghost people seeking repairs. Thank you Roberto and crew for the great work, really appreciate you guys! Looking forward to sealcoating when the weather heats up. read more

The quality of work and final product are great. But the communication was poor, almost as if they were taking advantage of my inability to understand spanish. The first order of stones were not the stones we ordered, their mistake. They WAY over estimated the amount of stones needed, to the tune of about 5 pallets, and left them for us to get rid of. In the end, we paid approximately 15k more than originally quoted. I feel like we were taken advantage of because we didn't understand the reasoning for the price increase. Not recommended. read more

TRJ redid our concrete driveway for us and they did a beautiful job. It's still new so I can't say how it will be in a few years but, their bid for the job was appropriate, they arrived on time and did the work in the amount of time I expected. We have a small patio project (250sf) where we plan to reuse pavers. Robert came out, was pleasant, had good ideas, and sent us a bid for the project that was reasonable and we agreed to it. But when it came time to schedule, he said he was first out of town, the behind on a pool in Kirkland, and then he stopped responding to our messages. I'm guessing it ended up being too small of a job for them, but would have appreciated him being up front about it. read more

Ghosted, I was promised a quote and never got it, don't bother with them, just a waste of time.

Robert and his team are professionals, craftsmen, and artists. They've done great work for me on multiple occasions, most recently pouring this beautiful stamped concrete border around an existing pad, then pouring exposed aggregate connecting the existing pad with the driveway. He worked really well with my fence contractor, pouring around pre-set posts and getting the stampwork beautifully consistent. His sprinkler guys similarly partnered well and did great work. Robert and his team were always responsive and willing to deal with my exacting requests. Their dedication shows in their quality; so long as they're in business they'll have my business. read more
