I would highly recommend Oleg and his crew. They were the 5th crew I interview for the issue and let me say, Oleg knew what he was doing. He was the first person who took out his ladder and really try to find the source of the problem. He is the first person to rip off the siding and showed me the source of the issue. The other 4 companies barely even took out a ladder to take a look and they have 5 star ratings too~! Oleg team came on a short notice and got the issue fix within 2 days. The price was cheaper than the other companies, since the other companies just wanted me to buy a whole new siding when the issue was tiny. Oleg not only save me money but got me sleeping good at night so thank you so much Oleg~! ( btw I dont write reviews on Yelp much so this means a lot to me) Cheers and see you again Oleg! read more

Oleg came out promptly and was able to estimate a quote very closely to what the final job cost. Our job required siding removal, chimney resurfacing, rot repair, moisture barrier, flashing installation, new trim and new siding. It was a big home repair. When their team came out, I kept constant watch on their work. I've had several contractors cut corners in the past. I was so happy to see Arthur taking his time and doing the job correctly, even when it required more work on their end. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile. They put in 11 hour days and brought out 6 people to make sure the job was done within a reasonable time frame. They also cleaned up after themselves. Something most contractors don't do. I'm thankful that I found Absolute Rot Repair. They are polite, hard working and highly professional. I highly recommend them. read more

Oleg was prompt in providing an estimate and very competitive in pricing. Absolute Rot Repair is an honest company that has skilled craftsmen and is very knowledgeable about home repair & rot. They used quality materials in matching the existing wood in our home. Complete cleanup after the job. I would highly recommend Oleg and Absolute Rot Repair. read more

Several townhomes in my development had serious rot issues due to a construction error. Many owners used a construction firm to repair the damage and costs were $30K to $40K. Shocking amounts of money. We called the same firm and they would not give us a quote. We researched and somehow decided to call Oleg out of desperation. Oleg came out and met me, provided a quick analysis of the problem and provided a quote of $15K. We went with Absolute Rot, the work was done quickly and within budget and solid work. The other homeowners texted me to let me know how professional and could not believe the quality of the work for literally a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend Oleg and his crew if you have rot issues. read more

Oleg and his team saved our condominium. Seriously! I am on the Board of our association and the multi-story walkway that serves as entry points into our 52 units had been in danger of collapsing due to rot. Previous Board knew about this but of course did not know what to do and so when I had been elected, it was up to me to deal with this headache. Everyone expected special assessments. We consulted engineering firms, lawyers, and all the experts. No one really gave us a solution until I found Oleg via searching on Yelp for "rot repair" and I reached out to him to give us a bid. He came over to our complex, said yes he can fix the issues, and gave us a very reasonable quote. After months of deliberation, we finally decided to take a chance with Oleg and I am so glad we did! This walkway which was bowing at the vertical posts is actually level now! Oleg had to support a huge walkway while he cut off the rotted pieces, raise it, and replace the cut off pieces with metal supports. Amazing. Also it turned out Oleg has a lot of contacts in other areas and we have used his firm and his vendor network to repair a unit which had a mold problem, caulk our windows, and seal cracks on our balconies. In all of these areas, Oleg's prices were constantly 20% - 40% cheaper against competing bids that we had obtained. And the work was done to our satisfaction. Thank you Oleg for saving our Condominium! read more

Good price, fast & excellent work, amazing customer service. We have two melon-sized holes open up on the wood paneling of our 100-year-old Tudor. Oleg examined the whole house for us, pointing out a lot of quick fixes we could make on our own to prevent rot. They scheduled us just a week or so out to replace the siding. and replaced a large section along the roofline in 2 days. The work was top-notch. But the most impressive thing to me was that there was an honest misunderstanding (due mostly to my poor communication) that required some work to be redone. They had someone out there within two days, and refused to accept my offer to pay for the added cost of materials. Such a class act that I felt compelled to leave a review - something I rarely take the time to do. read more

It is our first time dealing with a contractor while living in another state. We also hired our home inspector to be our eyes and ears for our huge project, and I have to say, Oleg and his hard-working team truly did an amazing job. We hired Absolute Rot Repair to (1) replace entire siding for a 3-story home and (2) repair two 3rd floor balconies. Oleg has been very responsive to my questions and concerns and would always keep me in the loop via texts and calls, even in evenings and weekends. Oleg and his team were punctual and the communication has been great, ensuring that we always knew what was going on and what was going to happen next. Oleg sent numerous pictures of discoveries and progresses. He also offered suggestions for specific materials such as balcony railings, Trex vs Veranda boards, lighting, etc. which saved us a lot of time and trouble. Overall, the results look fantastic. Their work is beautiful. Oleg and his team has done a great job completing the work to our satisfaction. Oleg is knowledgeable, experienced, trustworthy, worked well with other contractors, and we would not hesitate to hire him again for future remodeling needs. Thank you Absolute Rot Repair! read more

We had Absolute Rot Repair take care of some dry rot on our siding in 2017. They did a great job, and when they found some rot we weren't aware of, they provided an estimate for the additional work so it wouldn't be a surprise because we trust them. So, when we had some potential mold in our attic, they were the first company we called. They promptly went in to evaluate the situation, and found no mold or rot. We appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and promptness. Highly recommended. read more

We are very happy with the work Absolute Rot Repair did! We had wood rot on a column due to water splashing from a clogged rain chain gutter on our front deck and needed to have it replaced. We decided to get both columns replaced at the same time. The wooden post inside the columns was found to be wet due to the design of the house, so Oleg's crew came up with a great idea to pour concrete and attach new wooden posts on an anchor inside each column. They also applied a sealed barrier around the bottom of each column to prevent water from getting in. The new columns are better than they were before and are more robust. They also replaced rotted wood on a couple of vertical trims in our backyard and sealed off a gap on the adjacent base boards that water was getting into. Finally, they replaced seals around our garage doors that had deteriorated and cracked. They worked overtime on Saturday to get the work done as quick as possible. We are happy with the quality and the hard work Oleg's crew put into it. We highly recommend them for structural wood and seal damage! Great business! read more

They were responsive and quoted a fair price. Communication was good. The work was excellent and they cleaned up after themselves.

I reached out to these guys after an area on my porch was beginning to show signs of wood rot, they had fantastic communication and came over to inspect very quickly. They showed me that they would rot was much deeper and worse than I could see, and sent me an estimate. Within a week of me agreeing, they had the area completely fixed... Not only that, but it looked absolutely fantastic. the two guys that worked on my porch worked hard, diligently, and produced extremely professional and beautiful workmanship. They were highly professional, knew what they were doing, and made my porch look better than it did when I bought the home. I will always reach out to these guys for any future projects, thank you so much! read more

We had extensive water damage in our kitchen. Water was leaking from the joint between the water supply and the dishwasher. When we noticed the kitchen floor was bulging up, it was too late. We called a plumber and he found the leak and fixed it. Then the mitigation company came and removed all floorings, cabinets, drywalls, and fiberglass that were moldy. We had our home insurance adjuster inspect the damage and he gave us his estimate for the repair. I called Absolute Rot Repair because I had our deck and exterior side wall repaired by them and I liked their job. Oleg and his son, Arthur, came and gave me their estimate. The two estimate were close, so I agreed to have the repair done. After some negotiations we signed a contract. We decided to upgrade the countertop material and replace the window at the same time. It took about a month to repair the kitchen. It is a beautiful new kitchen and my wife and I are happy with the job that Oleg, Arthur, and their team did. read more

Absolute Rot Repair did an amazing job on our garage rehabilitation and deck install! We recently purchased a home, knowing from the inspection that there was significant water damage in the attached garage & the deck atop of it. Oleg provided us with an initial quote and did a great job of laying out what to expect based on the severity of rot & water infiltration that his team might find in the garage. Arthur and his team did an amazing job on the repair & rebuild of the garage as well as the deck installation project. They were extremely professional, kept us well informed of their findings & plan of action and consulted us on any design details to ensure we were all on the same page. The extremely high level of quality done by the team is a tribute to their expertise & dedication to their clients. And everyone on the team was extremely personable & genuine to interact with on a daily basis. The rebuild of our previously-rotted garage (inside & outside) and installation of a brand new synthetic deck on top took the team less than 4 weeks to complete! And the expert craftsmanship is apparent in every detail; our house is in much better condition than we could have ever hoped for. I would recommend Arthur, Oleg & the rest of the Absolute Rot Repair team to anyone in need of repair or upgrade work on their home. read more

We purchased our house less than a year ago and discovered we had a carpenter ants issue a few months ago. One thing led to another and we ultimately found out we had quite a bit of internal rot that was attracting these ants. We called Oleg and they came out instantly to give us a free quote. When the weather improved they were able to do the project and just finished up. The house looks untouched despite all of the fascia and siding they had to rip off and replace to get to the internal rot. His crew worked long and hard hours in the heat wave to get this done quickly for us and everyone was incredibly quick & professional. The rate they quoted us was also almost half of what another company predicted it would be so we are very pleased with Absolute Rot Repair. Hopefully we won't have this issue again but if we do, we'll definitely be return customers. read more

Oleg and his team did an amazing job. They were booked solid and it took a couple months to schedule them but it was absolutely worth waiting. The Absolute crew did a great job on my bath surround and exterior wall. The quoted price was fair and adhered to, even when they found more rotted beams. There was a four week wait to get scheduled, but for Seattle in the summer, that is pretty good. These guys are professional, polite, very tidy, and very skilled. I highly recommend them. read more

We had an issue with wood rot below our patio sliding door and where the builder did not correctly but wood next to concrete. We had the damaged are reviewed by three contractors, and then selected Absolute Rot Repair. Oleg and his team are the best choice. Everyone was courteous and respectful while performing the work and even when we had questions after the job was finish. Oleg offered great advice for other water run-off locations, which I greatly appreciate. The job was scheduled to begin on 6/14, but they were a no show.  Contacted them same day, rescheduled start for 6/16. On 6/18, I called the owner to complain about the methods and competency of his subcontractors.  He told me to send him a text detailing my concerns and that he would discuss them with the subs.  As it turned out, those concerns were never resolved. On 6/23, the owner requested, and I wrote, a check for $5000 as a deposit for purchase of supplies (siding, flashing, Azek trim). These supplies were later delivered, but without the receipts that I had earlier requested to document expenses. After two weeks of part time work (2-3 days per week @ 6 hours /day), the owner came out to inspect progress on the morning of 6/28.  As soon as he arrived he was taking pictures of the work and talking on the phone.  He explained to me then the many things that were wrong, and how much work (effectively all of it) would have to be redone. He was quite clear about the many defects and even remarked on the laziness / shoddy workmanship of his subcontractors.  Long story short, the installed siding and gable vents were of the wrong type and installed incorrectly, flashing of the wrong type and misinstalled, existing underrlayment (Tyvek / Blue Skin / Viccor) cut and damaged during removal of window and door trims and new underlayment sloppily reinstalled in other areas, lag screws penetrating and damaging the roof (scaffolding anchors), etc.  Fired them the next morning 6/29. They left all tools and scaffolding as well as a large pile of siding, flashing, Azek, and construction debris (for the second time in as many weeks). The initial job estimate was for approximately $11000 (January).  That estimate went up in June to approximately $16000 as the price of lumber and materials skyrocketed.  I never signed any other paperwork other than the two estimates. Subsequently, on 7/16, they offered me $4000 in exchange for not taking any legal action "for any miss understandings". I declined the offer due to the fact that additional damage that they had caused need to be assessed and calculated. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid...... read more

We've done a lot of research in regards to hiring someone to inspect and reconstruct a part of our shop. I came across Absolute Rot Repair on the Web and their good reviews urged me to contact them and get an estimate. The scheduling/ admin lady was very polite and professional; which made a good first impression of the company. Once meeting Oleg and his team, they seemed incredibly knowledgeable and experienced for such a job. We hired them on with no regret whatsoever. The charge is worth the great work they put into our shop. THIS IS THE TEAM YOU WANT. I can 100% endorse Absolute Rot. We bought our dream home this summer and after the first heavy rain quickly figured out a little wet spot underneath our master bedroom balcony was hiding a bigger rot and rain damage problem. Absolute Rot Repair responded to our inquiry immediately. Oleg (the owner) was at our house within days. We were concerned about budget, so at our request Oleg was more than happy to provide us with detailed quotes for several repair scenarios. His transparency gave us confidence to go with the Big Plan and fix everything. We were booked within weeks and the work completed on time and precisely to quoted price. During the process, Oleg, Arthur and their team were extremely professional, communicative, and cleaned the job site every day. Oleg explained how every step of the repair would work to prevent future rot and water damage. Oleg even went the extra mile to find the exact balcony railing my wife wanted. The repair looks amazing, and more importantly, it is clearly totally water tight. We are loyal customers for life! read more

Let me say this upfront: they did NOT (and at this point will not) do any job for me. I called them for an estimate of some pretty simple deck maintenance job. I would not have written this review if there was no misleading information on their web site: "We are committed to providing only the best value for your dollar" "Serving the needs of homeowners in their carpentry/ wood repair needs is my passion" Yeah, sure, except that Oleg quoted a downright insane price for a pretty simple job. He said that he works in commercial sector and I should find someone else for a residential sector job. Maybe they do good work, but they certainly don't care about providing relevant information on their web site. read more

I spoke with Oleg and he came within an hour to take a look and give me an estimate. He and his crew came down within the week and started on the repairs. They were very professional in their job and in answering all the questions I had. They explained in detail how they will repair the deck and stairs. I had a wall that was rotten because water from a gutter was running down to the foundation. The water ran down a stud and pooled at the bottom. They made the effort to come out and worked on it very quickly compared to all the others I tried. They did a great job repairing and putting on new siding. I think it is better than it was before when it was new. I hope I never have a job like this again, but if I do, I know who to call. read more
