He came out in person to walk the property and gave a detailed quote. Ilya helped suggest a look that most closely matched our original cedar lap siding, and his crew was able to preserve some of the historic decorative trim and reuse it with our new siding. We had some leaks and expected there would be areas under the siding with rot, and there were. Ilya was great about sending photos and pricing to get our permission for extra work as his crew uncovered the extent of the issues. They also built a new sturdy railing for our front steps. His pricing was very fair. We are happy with our beautiful siding and no more leaks, and knowing everything is in good shape under the siding now.

Most good businesses have at least 1 employee that will impress you--great ones, perhaps 2-3. Got Rot has somehow managed to only hire individuals that blow you away at every stage. Literally every stage. Starting with sales, meet Vlad, with his honest pricing and "treat you like his family approach," you'll know he cares and that to him you are more than just a number. Next meet Ilya, who with fierce diligence will deal with the city process for you, going above and beyond to make magic happen. Then meet Darik and Artem, incredibly knowledgeable project managers who look out for things that you don't even know about, doing so much work behind the scenes, and before you know it you wake up one day to a beautiful deck. Lastly, meet the best installers, heck some of the best employees, I have ever met in my life, Daniel and Efim. They exemplify the professionalism, integrity, and work ethic of the entire Got Rot family. They are hidden gems of Got Rot, in addition to being kind, driven, and men of character. Businesses love to say "We take pride in our work!" Easy words to say. Got Rot lives it. I am so grateful and delighted to have had Alpine Siding's services over recent months. My 1899…read morehome was in dire need of new siding and upstairs windows, trim, and paint. It's a fairly big home, so not a small project either! Alpine worked to complete the siding near the end of the "gentle season" in the fall and worked in wind and around rainy days to keep the home protected from weather, while efficiently installing our chosen James Hardie product and windows at the same time as they moved from side to side amidst storms. The result was beautiful, with new trim boards added for effect, and everything tidily caulked before winter set in. It looked so wonderful, we even enjoyed the prime siding color before spring came and the paint could put the final touch on the project. Alpine's crews, always kind, upbeat, and efficient, made certain we were early on their spring calendar and completed the rather complex painting job perfectly. Their cleanup crews made sure everything was neat and safe after each work session. We feel very fortunate that Alpine agreed to help us with this project. Their charges were very reasonable and we were able to add details and lower our costs with a full-payment arrangement. We know our home is fully protected from the elements with a product and application that will truly outlast us, and we receive so many compliments on its new appeal! Even 126 years old can be new again! Thank you so much to the hard-working and flexible Andrey and crew, who have given us such pride in ownership and a reliable and positive experience. It is always a joy to return home to our beauty!

Pacific Exteriors - A full cedar re-side

Our project manager Kevin was amazing and paid attention to every detail, including things I never would have noticed. The work team was here every day rain or shine and busted out the whole project in less than 2 weeks. Becca at the office stayed on top of our project and was incredibly supportive while we worked through obtaining our funds. In the end we ended up with the exterior of our dreams. We will definitely be going back to Pacific Exteriors when it is time to do the roof.

We hired Pacific Exteriors last year to paint the exterior of our home and repair some siding. I've…read moreactually been putting off writing this review because I was so frustrated by the experience that I didn't really want to revisit it. Now, a year and $20,000+ later, I've probably willingly forgotten some of the most frustrating details, but unfortunately the issues we're continuing to find with the finished product finally prompted me to write it. The initial consultation and sales process were great, and I also really liked the color consultation service they partnered with, which allowed us to digitally visualize different options on our home. That said, because part of our exterior is vinyl, we were limited to vinyl-safe colors, and the designer wasn't up to date on which colors or paint lines qualified, so that part wasn't quite as helpful as it could have been. I will also give Pacific Exteriors credit for being very patient with me while I chose colors and even changed my mind a few times before the paint was purchased. Once the actual project started, though, things became pretty disorganized. What was supposed to be, if I remember correctly, roughly a two-week project ended up stretching over more than two months. We tried to be very understanding because we know exterior work involves weather, crews, materials and a lot of moving pieces. But this is also what a large, established company does every day, and we felt there should have been a much better system for managing the project and communicating with us. The biggest frustration was that communication was almost entirely reactive rather than proactive. As the project stretched on, we regularly had to reach out ourselves to ask when crews would be returning, what the schedule was, and when the work would actually be completed. Updates generally weren't provided unless we asked for them. There were days crews showed up when we weren't expecting them, and other days or weekends when we were specifically told they would be working, so we rearranged or canceled plans to stay out of their way, only for no one to show up and no one to communicate the change. There were also many mornings when trucks would arrive around 8 or 9, disappear, and then work wouldn't actually begin until around noon. We were genuinely patient about delays and understood that schedules change. What became difficult to excuse was being repeatedly left wondering whether anyone was coming and having to continually follow up ourselves for basic information about a project that had already gone weeks beyond its expected timeline. Unfortunately, the workmanship has also been disappointing over time. During the project, we had to walk through multiple times and point out areas that needed more attention or touch-ups. Within a few months, we already had some peeling. Now, about a year later, we're finding areas where the old paint is visible through the new paint, making it clear those spots weren't adequately prepped or covered. Most concerning, we've also discovered areas where entire strips of blue painter's tape were simply painted over. Those strips are now surfacing and peeling away with the paint. Before leaving this review, I reached back out to Pacific Exteriors to give them the opportunity to come take a look at these issues and correct them. Unfortunately, I received no response. Given how much we spent and how recently the work was completed, I would have at least expected an acknowledgment and an opportunity to discuss the problems we're seeing. I recognize that our experience may not be representative of every Pacific Exteriors project, especially given the number of positive reviews they have. That's part of why we gave them so much patience throughout the process and why I've hesitated to leave this review. But looking back, these weren't just occasional scheduling hiccups or a missed touch-up. A project we expected to take around two weeks stretched beyond two months, with us repeatedly having to initiate communication just to understand what was happening. For a $20,000+ exterior project, the communication, project management, preparation and attention to detail simply weren't what we expected from a company of this size and reputation. And now, only a year later, seeing peeling, inadequate coverage and other workmanship issues, and receiving no response when we've asked them to address those concerns, has made the overall experience even more disappointing.

This was by far the lowest quote we got but it was that and the professionalism that made us choose them. The crew was great - fast, efficient and very, very skilled with Hardie board siding. We had several other projects done at the same time and each contractor commented on how well the Hardie was being installed. They kept us informed and communicated well when there were questions or decisions to be made. The entire project was done in six working days, clean up with thorough and we are 100% satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Energy Exteriors NW and when we need to have our windows replaced, we will definitely be contacting them for the work.

My husband and I hired Energy Exteriors NW for a Milgard sliding door installation, and months…read morelater we're still dealing with the fallout, both from the door itself and from how the company has handled it. The install, twice: The first crew (7/30) installed the door with the frame out of square and the handle missing a part entirely, so it couldn't latch, rattled constantly, and had an inconsistent gap against the frame. They also cut out the old door and frame without putting down any protective sheeting, so concrete board dust (a fiber-cement material containing silica, an OSHA-regulated health hazard) covered the interior of our home, especially our kitchen. When the Project Manager inspected the door the next day, he confirmed the frame was installed incorrectly and promised to reinstall it properly. The second crew came back to redo the frame and reinstall the door (8/03), and while removing and replacing the trim and frame, they damaged our exterior siding. Erin offered to send her own crew to fix it, but after what happened during that reinstall (below), we didn't want any more of her installers in our home, so we're handling that repair ourselves. The incident: During a follow-up visit (8/04) to address ongoing problems, I pointed out that the door still wasn't right. One of the installers snapped at me in our kitchen: he shook the door hard, smirked, and yelled "YOU DON'T LIKE THIS?!" at me repeatedly, then suggested he could just remove the security lock if the rattle bothered us. My husband told both installers to leave. Ownership's response: We called immediately. Owner Erin didn't call back until later that day and showed no real concern. She followed up with a lengthy, polished email questioning our account of the incident, since our home security camera only captured the outside of the house, as if that meant what happened inside couldn't be trusted. It's a telling response from someone whose installer had just screamed at a customer. Where things stand now: Milgard has since come out to inspect the door as a warranty matter, and confirmed that the rattle and stiff latch are common on a large, custom 7.5-foot slider like ours (something we were never told when we ordered it), and that there's nothing more to be done about either one. The scratch on the interior glass, which appeared during the first install, will finally be repaired next week, months after the original install. One more thing worth knowing: their contract includes a non-disparagement clause instructing customers not to post negative comments online. That kind of clause is illegal and unenforceable under the federal Consumer Review Fairness Act of 2016. Its presence alone tells you how this company intends to handle complaints. (Not a lawyer, but this is well-established consumer protection law.) If you look through Erin's responses to other critical reviews here, you'll see a pattern: she replies to nearly every negative review personally, and instead of taking accountability, she consistently questions or minimizes the customer's experience. That's exactly what she did with us. We wanted a door that worked like a brand-new door should, an intact house, and honest communication. What we got was a door we still have to fight with every time we use it, a house we're repairing ourselves, and a company that was never straight with us. Do your research before hiring this company, and think twice before signing a contract with a non-disparagement clause in it. You can save yourself a lot of time, headaches, and potential damage by hiring a company with careful and professional installation crews, and managers who aren't (seemingly) motivated by a compulsion to always be right, even when they are demonstrably in the wrong and making mistakes left and right.
