TLDR: do not hire for anything other than spot repairs for leaking roofs. So we hired this company to repair a leak coming down in our garage. Sales person came out for review to make an assessment on what would be involved. In the conversation they offered to clean the roof, I told them there's a lot of moss up there and they said they could easily do that. Oh they cleaned something, just not the whole roof. They got the entire north side of my house covered in caked on globs of dirt. This included everything around there like my A/C exterior fan unit, my trash bins, my shed, my storage lockers and my deck boxes. They left a hose, my hose, on the roof and running all night long until my wife spotted it the next morning. My front hose was also used, I know this because instant of rolling it back up using the roll they just left it all piled up at the corner of my house. Now told them about this, and the person who responds just always says they'll get in touch with their "experts" and let me know. Eventually they came back to finish cleaning the roof and clean up the mess on the side of the house. They came and went then I got home and checked, looked like they took about two seconds to clean some of the side but ran off to their next project. It was in no way clean or even in the condition it was in prior to their work. As for the roof being cleaned and moss control applied, I can't get all the way up on the 2nd floor roof to know but my HVAC company came out to do some other work related to "Smokey cedar smell in air ducts, & they climbed up to the 2x!: floor and took photos. There was no moss control applied on the 2nd floor roof and miss was growing everywhere on the west back side, yes this was the very next day after M&H came. Cleaning and moss control were services we agreed M&H would do.m, but they clearly didn't yet still charged me for it. Oh and that donkey cedar smell? Sawdust in the HVAC exhaust line from roof & vent repairs. So basically the roofing company offered a series of services they never fully executed. I had to hire a different company to complete the gutter work and re-clean the lower & upper roofs and apply moss control up on the 2nd roof. Then I had to clean out my HVAC vents, and I had to wash and scrub the exterior of my house. How are they still in business is beyond me. read more

They were supposed to be at my house to give me a quote around 3:30. The guy showed up after 6:00!! Don't even think about them because other roofers told me stories about them. I had high hopes for this company since they showed up quickly (they happened to be working around the corner). A tree branch had fallen through my roof, and I was first quoted $3,600 by Avi. After showing him a competitor's quote for $1,200 (from a company with fewer but still positive reviews), he dropped the price to $2,000. I signed the paperwork and put down a $200 deposit around 11AM, as the competitor didn't have same-day availability. Avi assured me they would return between 5-6PM to tarp the roof so I wouldn't have any leaks. They never showed up. I called at 7PM and was told it "wasn't going to rain" -- even though it was literally raining and I had buckets inside catching the water. I called ten times total and spoke to Mona three of those times, and every time she'd disappear for 30-45 minutes before calling back with nothing useful. For hours, I was left hanging while water poured through my roof -- absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, they stopped answering their phone and even ignored my Yelp messages, which made the whole situation even more infuriating. By 9:30PM I was done waiting. I told them to cancel my contract and refund my deposit. A company's true character shows after they've taken your money -- and M&H Roofing completely failed that test. Poor communication, broken promises, and zero accountability. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

On a scale of 1-10, we give this company an 11, based on the outstanding results and incredible value they delivered. This was an incredibly challenging project. We have a very steeply pitched metal roof on a two-story home with skylights and a turret. We hired M&H to remove many years of mold off our roof, clear and clean all the rain gutters and reseal our skylights. They responded very quickly to my bid request, and within the same day performed a physical onsite roof inspection, rather than just generating an estimate based on a Google Earth photo like so many of their competitors. We are seniors on a fixed income and this is a major expense for us. We solicited quotes from several reputable and highly rated roof cleaning companies. M&H provided us with an extremely competitive bid. Avi committed to a firm, fixed price upfront. All the other bids I received were subject to additional charges during the cleaning, based on how much of the skylights required resealing. M&H included a complete resealing of both skylights and the application of a mold retardant as part of the total project. They included this preventative, cost-saving measure without adding a separate additional charge. What truly sets this company apart from its competitors is their commitment to excellence. The before and after photos speak for themselves. It is like we have a brand-new roof. Their pride of their workmanship really shines through in the final results. The team arrived right on schedule. Each team member worked diligently and with precision until the job was finally completed, approximately 10 hours later. Their cleanup was absolutely pristine. Not reliable. Based on good reviews, I contacted this company. Avi came out and provided within minutes by email an estimate via a document for signature. I asked about a chimney sweep and he gave me a price. I chose to move forward with him and he said he'd send me a new quote "later today" (Tuesday) as he wanted to do the work Thursday or Friday (2 or 3 days later). By Thursday, the day he was to begin work (potentially), I still hadn't received a new estimate. I reached back out. His response was: "Hi I forgot about it Which quote do you need". Although I found his response unprofessional, I proceeded to summarize all that we discussed. He came back with a price quote by text message (not by document for signature, which was what I expected) starting with "The best I'll be able to do..." I noted that the estimate was higher than what we discussed. When I questioned him, he ended up responding that it included tax, yet the numbers did not add up as tax would bring the total higher than his quote. In addition, in my experience, normally if tax is included, it is presented upfront as it is a benefit to the customer. He explained the discrepancy by saying it is a small discount he gave me. However, I still decided to move forward despite my misgivings and let Avi know pricing was fine, but to please break down the costs for each service, including that tax is included. I never heard back from him. I have since used a different company and the communication was like night and day. Incidentally, the repair Avi pointed out and was almost as expensive as the roof cleaning itself, was done at no charge by the other company as it was merely roof flashing (I think) that needed to be simply re-secured.
