I had a drip edge blow off my roof during heavy winds. I checked Yelp and saw their positive reviews and "no job too small". I received a response within minutes of my request for estimate and they were able to come right away and get the job done. While up there he inspected the roof, took photos/videos, and made a couple suggestions. I ended up having a couple other minor things done that could end up saving big problem$ down the road. We found a leaking area on the ceiling of main bedroom. Maria gave us quick response and send Eduardo to give us an estimate. Later Eduardo inspected and explained the damage to us. He arrived on time and fix the leak quickly. When Eduardo checked the damage, he opened the roof deck and drywall and give us clear photos and video for the damage. It was clear from the first inspection to see what the problem was, that they knew what the best solution would be. We waited for the weather, but they finished the entire job in 2 days. After, Eduardo came to inspect and found several spots that needed better adhesion and he sent several workers to take care of it. Currently, giving them no stars. I hired Eduardo to replace caulk and paint my house in addition to cleaning/maintaining the roof and gutters. The caulk and paint was high priority as I have not had that maintained since I had the house painted 13 years ago and there was damage under the siding, which I added to the scope to be replaced in several areas. I am waiting for him to correct his work, or lack of work. So far, I've encountered no show or super late (over 2 his hours, more than once) to scheduled timeframes and the work performed is so substandard, I might as well not have had anything done. It is obvious old caulk was not removed and new caulk was not placed prior to painting as I still have cracking all around the house. Paint job is substandard as there are bare patches and things moved or removed to paint has not been put back. I had my house painted by professionals 13 years ago that brought in a crew of 4 people who were in and out in 3 to 4 days and truthfully, I'm shocked and also angry at the stark difference of the workmanship and how the work was performed. There was maybe 1 or 2 people for 3 weeks. I am giving him a chance to "finish" the job. This review will be updated based on how the situation is remedied. I will take him to court and file many reports if the situation is not corrected because the issues extend beyond workmanship. Alejandra is great. read more

They were very prompt in setting up a time to come and inspect. Eduardo came in and took a look at our subfloor and told us he'd send an estimate in 2 hours. We did get the estimate in that time frame (few others we contacted either said the estimate itself will take a week or never contacted us back). They clearly called out in their estimate that once they open up the subfloor, if there are more repairs required, they'll let us know and get our explicit permission before proceeding. Their team came in on Saturday and started the work. They realized that the joists needed to be replaced as well as the insulation. They very clearly explained why they think that's a good idea, how much longer it would take and exactly what they were planning to do. They got our permission to proceed and gave us a final number after they got all the material required and finished the job. They left the place very clean after all the work and before they started, they also made sure to cover other openings to keep the impact on other areas of the house minimum. I really appreciated the clear communication, time lines (and them sticking to the time line!) and the setup and cleanup. And of course, the actual quality of work itself which was very good. Eduardo and his team did an excellent job on the roof renewal project. Initially we planned to renew the 30yr old roofing and replace the plywood where needed. Once they removed the old roof, we realized there were much more work needed to be done with the framing as we were afraid it would. Thankfully AVS's experienced team gave us fair estimates for the multiple problematic frame areas and fix them as they go. If you have a roof with framing issues hire Eduardo's team. Other roofing companies would not fix those problems if we hired them and the project would be paused until we would find another construction crew. (Which you can imagine would take weeks at least) There were couple of hiccups throughout the project but they were apologatic and willing to fix right away. (Including drywall repair and electrical work(Thank you Franklin!) They even helped with the chimney rain cap with no complaints. After they finished the job they thoroughly cleaned all the waste and nails from the yard and interior multiple times. Fair quotes, honest and reliable work ethic, great communication(Thanks Maria!), long term warranty. We will have plenty of more projects in the future and will definitely work with them again.
