We received 5 quotes for a roof replacement and picked 3 tree roofing. They had a fair honest quote and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. They were very patient with all my questions. All employees were professional, friendly and helpful. I'm so happy with the end result. They replaced the roof, skylight, and gutters. The whole process went smoothly. I'd definitely recommend this company

We got our roof redone by Three Tree Roofing and these guys are great! Not only do they have fair pricing but they were able to get out really quick and replace our roof in only 2 days. All the workers who came were so kind, friendly and respectful, and everyone I spoke to on the phone had above and beyond customer service skills. When they finished our roof there were a couple of small spots we were a little unhappy with, but they came out the very next day and fixed them for us! I couldn't be happier with this company!

Working with Three Tree Roofing was great, starting from the estimate that was well explained by Danny Cretu and moving forward to the project management that was handled by Derek which kept me in the loop. Victor the lead installer was also great and did an amazing job on my house. There was no debris left, everything was cleaned properly and all concerns were addressed immediately. Taking multiple estimates Three Tree Roofing had the best experience even compared to companies that were more expensive and sometimes double the price. There is nothing I would change about my decision.

Nu-Ray NRM 26g metal roof installed

My roof started having minor leaks late or mid 2020 and more in early 2021. I began reviewing Google, Yelp, Porch and Home Advisor for roofing companies. Three Tree Roofing and Tekline came up as the two highly rated reviewed companies. I contacted both and Three Tree Roofing responded first. I ended up canceling the estimate for Tekline due to schedule concerns with my work. Karl from Three Tree Roofing was my point of contact after the initial roofer came out to measure and provide an estimate. I wanted a metal roof to prevent future replacement, given longer warranty. I ended up signing for a Nu-Ray NRM 2000 40-year warranty metal roof with 4 tubular skylights and placed a 10% signed check for deposit during mid-April. April 30th comes around and I receive a call from Anthony at Three Tree Roofing leaving me with a voicemail with an estimated start date of June 3rd. Given extreme heat one week and rain other days, this date appeared delayed and the roofing started mid-July. Jesus, one of the Three Tree Roofing roofers shows up on day 1 of roofing, collects 2nd deposit of 40% upon project start. He starts pulling off the previous roofing material and informed me there are three layers and something about gravel and that I should be getting a phone call 'soon.' I had no idea what this meant. Later, I received a phone call, discussing additional layers found and there would be additional costs. No actual dollar numbers provided then. This additional tear off cost an additional $1,934.96. I later was informed during further roofing tear off that plywood was needed due to Kent City code requiring plywood as sub roofing material and current roof being torn off had shiplap. I was informed this would result in additional costs. I reviewed the contract I signed and do see the additional charges described on the contract. As a first time roof replacement homeowner, I understood plywood would cost $85 per sheet per the contract I signed. I did not know how much plywood was needed for me to come up with any sort of estimate of how much additional costs. How much plywood is needed for my roof? What was my roof measurement? I reviewed my original estimate and later emails and tried to walk back on where I went wrong and wanted to review if I had missed this potential for me to estimate additional cost somewhere. I could not find any measurements in the documents for me to guess this additional cost. This plywood ended up costing me an additional $4,590 in addition to the extra tear off cost of $1,934.96. The additional costs did not sit well with me. This was 22% over the cost of the contract I signed for. This was at that time, over $7,000 extra w/tax. My entire roof was expected to be $37k, the cost of a nice Lexus or 616 nice steak dinners, I reminded myself. I almost questioned myself as to whether I should have chosen another roofing company or looked for more estimates. Situation as it was, nothing I could walk back on. Project had already started. I ended up contacting Three Tree Roofing to cut out 2 tubular skylights to reduce cost, hoping that my impulse decision I would not regret later. I called, explained the concern I had about the cost; Neil at Three Tree Roofing sympathized, explained cost of materials have increased, offered to reduce cost of labor; this helped a bit, however, cost was still significantly more than budgeted. He offered more time to come up with the payment. Roofing just finished today, paid the remainder. Will need to put in placement for gutter downspout/pipes. I was under the assumption that was part of the project, however, was incorrectly assuming and will need to look at attaching/replacing the downspouts/gutter pipes. I would just need to climb a ladder and attach. Roof is beautiful, however, I am a flat roof owner so maybe I will find some time to climb and view when I get bored. :) Roofers were friendly, used a porta-potty Three Tree Roofing rented. Communication w/roofer appear adequate although the days they showed up (such as today) were without advanced warning ahead of showing up. Some communication of when they showed up would have been helpful in terms of scheduling my other contractors I had on site. I had 2 contractors and at times, 3 contractors from 3 different companies were on site. They all seemed fine with each other. Review is docking one star due to communication as the root cause of: - homeowner unable to estimate/guess cost of plywood or how far from original signed contract the cost could have increased; this gave me quite a bit of anxiety. No one likes to owe money or be caught unprepared - days of when roofers showed up; the roofers were fortunate that people were home the days they needed to do internal skylight work. Had I been the only person, it is very possible they would have shown up to an empty house Overall, I am so far, and hope to be happy with the roof. Am waiting for rain to see how well everything sits

A sudden, and unexpected downpour, which lasted 4-5 mins altogether. It poured!

This the only roof work I've ever been around. The company as a whole were great to work with, starting with Danny the sales rep, (who I'm sure I drove nuts with many, many questions), to the crew leader and his team of guys who were all over the roof, (pulling up the old, placing new sheets of plywood, and the rest), like they were walking on the flat earth. They not only removed, cleaned up, installed new roof and venting, but I then requested my old gutters/downspouts come off, and new ones installed. Which they did. I feel very fortunate that I ran into this company, and actually signed up with them.

As the rain falls heavily and the wind has been crazy, my wife and I are truly grateful to everyone at Three Tree Roofing!! We have nothing but praise for this business. Their communication was great, work ethic amazing, craftsmanship superb and the crew was fun to have around for a few days. The job was done in a very timely manner considering they had to do an extra repair. All of our neighbors were impressed as well and like our home's new look. We are grateful that we chose Three Tree Roofing for the job. Their price was a bit higher than other quotes, but we could tell we were going to get awesome service. Thank you to everyone for our beautiful roof!!!!

Just had a new roof put on by Three Tree and we couldn't be happier with the experience start to finish. Danny Cretu, who provided our estimate was enjoyable and thorough to work with. Craig provided timely updates on when our project would start even with adverse weather conditions. The roofing team was courteous and professional going the extra mile pushing through stormy weather. Finally Neil answered all my closeout questions. Highly recommend, we had two other top regional providers bid, but exceptional customer service plus better warranty won it.

We were able to schedule our roof replacement when we wanted to get it done and the job was completed in just two days. We were impressed that it was such a quick and smooth process. After our roof was done, our gutters just took one day to replace.. so in total, it only took 3 days to get a brand new roof and gutters! Also, throughout the entire process, Elijah (the project manager?) kept us updated on how things were going and was also easily reachable for any questions we had. We appreciated the good communication! My only minor "complaint" would be that the cleanup after the job being done wasn't 100%. There were a few scraps and caution tape leftover from the roof job, and then a large ladder was left from the gutter job. However, and more importantly, it was still a job very well done and we are happy with how things turned out. I would recommend NearMe if you are looking to get a roof or gutter replacement!

Mike quoted both to repair and to replace, and we got an honest opinion that replacing was better given the age and possibility for more leaks. We also went with them because their quote was competitive and we liked the Certainteed Presidential TL product they offered. Their crew showed up on time on the agreed upon day and quickly removed the old roof and installed the new one. We love the look of the Presidential TL, it adds an elegance to our house that stands out compared to our neighbors, and we've received many compliments. My only suggestion to Cornerstone is to improve their communication. For example, it was forecast to rain most of the week before our install. Rather than me calling to ask if our install was still on schedule, it would have been nice to get a proactive call from them assuring us of that fact. Also, the install crew was very nice and professional, but on the 2nd day after they were done they just disappeared without a word. I would have appreciated a knock on the door to say they're done and that another guy would stop by next week to do the final cleanup and touch-ups (instead I called to ask if they were truly done and why there were still nails and debris in our yard). Personally I think over-communication to the customer would be preferred with a project of this size.

Home Improvers are great quality craftsmen, very professional and very responsive…read more The Home Improvers crew (2 guys - both of whom were very professional) installed new mounting blocks on the outside of our house for 3 new lights we purchased. The new lights were larger than the "old school" exterior lights that were on our house so they didn't fit the 4 in x 4 in mounting blocks the house was built with. I looked into installing new mounting blocks myself but quickly realized I was in over my head and that it would take me a lot longer than I expected to get the new lights installed. Fortunately, Yelp search for handymen near me connected me to Home Improvers who responded very quickly with a ballpark estimate. They came out the next day with some mounting blocks that had taken them a while to find (had to visit 3-4 home improvement stores to find them) and even those were a bit too small. So the guys *custom made* 3 mounting blocks. They securely attached the mounting blocks (perhaps even trimming the siding to ensure the fit nicely... hard to tell now that they are installed so nicely.) They also caulked and painted the mounting blocks, installed the new lights and used clear silicone around the lights to ensure they were water-tight. We'll definitely call Home Improvers again for our next home improvement items (including tile work, handyman services, etc.) They were very personable and did a high quality job.

On top of that, the contract copy arrived 5 days late after a $2,000 deposit, the office initially had no record of our project, the written contract didn't match what we were told, and the job required three visits -- which altogether felt very unprofessional for a $6,000 repair. - We recently hired Guardian Roofing to repair a roof leak above our dining room. The inspection took place the week before Thanksgiving, and the repair itself was carried out on Thanksgiving Day. We genuinely appreciated that the crew was willing to work over a holiday. However, the weeks that followed involved multiple return visits and repeated attempts on our part to resolve concerns privately. Because these issues remained unresolved for nearly a month, we felt it was important to share our experience for future customers. Because water was actively leaking into our home, we moved forward quickly after the salesperson explained that the job would include replacing the roof plywood and installing a gutter downspout extension. We paid a $2,000 deposit that same day. Although the contract was signed electronically, we did not receive a copy for five days, despite being told it would be sent immediately. During that time, the salesperson became unresponsive -- and when we contacted the company office to follow up, they initially had no record that we had signed a contract or paid a deposit. That was extremely concerning given the urgency of the situation. After the repair was completed, we finally received the written contract -- and only then realized that it did not match what we had been told. The gutter extension was not included in the document, and the plywood had only been partially replaced, even though we had understood the replacement would cover the full section. When we raised these discrepancies, we were told that the company had simply followed the wording of the contract. Only after further discussion, including acknowledgment of what the original salesperson had described, did the company agree to install the gutter extension at no additional cost. Still, for a $6,000 repair, the overall process felt disorganized and unclear. The job ultimately required three visits: the initial torch-down installation, a later trip to add the omitted gutter extension, and then another visit to secure that extension after it was installed too loosely. Even after all of this, our original concerns about finishing quality and water pooling were never addressed. These concerns were not just about appearance. This section of the roof is clearly visible from our upstairs rooms and yard, and even neighbors who can see it commented that the work looked surprisingly rough for a professional installation. The seams and vent patches were left with heavy, uneven adhesive buildup, and in several areas rainwater now collects instead of draining properly. When we raised these issues, we were told that the work met company standards and, in their words, "we are not decorators." The conversation repeatedly shifted toward explaining the nature of torch-down roofing -- as if the outcome were simply inherent to the system -- rather than addressing the quality of the execution itself. What made the experience particularly difficult was feeling that our urgency and lack of technical knowledge were not met with clear guidance and follow-through, but instead left us to discover contractual and workmanship issues only after the fact. In the end, the combination of delayed documentation, unclear expectations, inconsistent internal awareness of our project, multiple return visits, and workmanship that appeared unfinished left us disappointed and concerned as customers. We hope this review helps other homeowners make informed decisions and encourages greater clarity, accountability, and care in both communication and work quality going forward.

Dishonest! They intentionally omit an important "requirement"…read more I requested an estimate for an exhaust vent repair which was simple to do on Guardian's website. Guardian quickly called me, which became a strange experience. The lady from Guardian asked me if my Wife was employed and what her hours were. I asked why she wanted to know that, and she replied that they like to be able to discuss the project with both Husband and Wife. I told her that I'd handle everything myself. She again started down the road about my Wife and asked what time she gets home. I said don't worry about my Wife's hours, she doesn't need to be at home for me to hear how much this will cost. Such a personal question, especially after having asked to stop, is very inappropriate and weird for Guardian to pose. An estimator came to our house a few days later; fantastic employee and experience. He was very professional and knowledgable. I went up on the roof with him and he explained a lot about shingles, etc. He was at our house for an hour. I received a message from Guardian the next day asking to schedule another visit to my home to discuss the estimate. I was confused by their request. I politely declined and asked them to email me the estimate like every other estimate we received. Guardian refused to send me my estimate. Then they emailed me: "Our process does require an in-person review the estimate so we can walk through the details, materials, and options and answer any questions. Since a lot goes into our estimates, we're not able to send the estimate by email alone." No, their "process" is something they made up; no one is making them do this. Yes, they CAN email an estimate...like all their competitors. They want to come out again to try and pressure us. Guardian is saying that I have to take time out of my day, again, to be presented the estimate in person. Their competitors came to my house, then emailed me an estimate the next day. Like every other estimate experience I've gone through in my life. Had Guardian told me they refuse to email the estimate, I never would have let you come in our home. But they intentionally didn't say that, a lie of omission. This is a deceptive tactic. It's also extraordinarily disrespectful of my time.
