A friend and I went to our first Korean spa here. It was amazing. The staff was more than helpful. They gave us a tour, explained how everything worked, and we were off. When you first walk in, you pay for the initial entrance fee. You must provide a driver's license, so don't forget that. You are provided with a spaland outfit and a wrist band with a key to a locker. You may be offered a razor and a toothbrush. Before you walk into the locker room, you must take off your footwear. From here on out you are barefoot. Once you enter the locker room, you locate your locker and use the key on your wrist band to lock up your belongings and change into your spaland clothing. Keep your wrist band on you at all times, this is how they keep track of any extra services you receive. In the locker room, there are two additional rooms. One is a wet spa room, covered as part of your entrance fee. Here clothing is optional. There are showers you can use. It is requested that you shower prior to entering either the hot or cold pools, also located in this room. You can even pay an extra fee for a scrub service. The other room is a yoni steam room. This is also an extra fee. Leaving the locker room, you enter the dry spa area. There are so many dry saunas. We liked the charcoal room the most. It was not too hot or too cold. Continuing your way through the building, you will find a Korean food court, various other relaxation services, a children's play room, and a movie viewing area. Not all services are offered the whole day, so make sure to ask what time they become available. We decided on a 30 minute reflexology. This was an additional $40 +tip. It was fabulous. Do not forget your water in a non-glass bottle. Make a whole day out of it. We enjoyed our time there. Thank you! read more

From a black girls perspective here is my list of things you need to pack: -Deodorant. I bathed like twice. -Black hair products. They washed my hair during a massage. They don't have products for black hair so I looked like Frederick Douglass when I left. -Hair diffuser: they only have regular blow dryers. -Detangling brush: they don't have any -Socks: the sauna floors are like walking on cement in the summer. -Bathrobe: everybody is going to be in their birthday suit. Warning: if you don't speak Korean, you will have problems!!!!!!!! 1. Came with my partner to get couple chair/foot massages. BIG MISTAKE. I communicated with the masseuse three times that he was hurting me (digging his elbows into my back and checking me like I was a hockey player over and over again in my chair). I showed him with my hand to be gentle and said too rough, please stop. After the third time I just gave up and said I only want foot massage. We got charged for it anyway. 2. The woman in the front is rude and didn't care that her masseuse was not trained and that I couldn't communicate with him. She refused to give our money back so we paid for a service we did not get. 3. The women attendants in the locker room will hunt you down if you don't take off your shoes. They are nasty 4. We spent $250 for two people and really subpar service. The food was good but it was difficult to relax as the people who work there are not good at their jobs. I think the saunas should have more seating because I had to stand up in some of them because it hurts me to lay on the flat hard ground. I got the foot reflexology, I don't know if it helped. Today was the first time I came here to Spa Land and I found it on Groupon. I didnt even know it was here. It's been open for about 2 1/2 months now. The place is very clean. If I was rating only cleanliness it would be a 5 star. If you have been to one of the Korean Spas before its the same thing, same set up. Except you dont have the little box just inside the door for shoes. Here you enter the dressing room and stop right away and take off your shoes. Then when you open your locker you will see the place for shoes in the bottom of your locker. There is a restaurant with a large menu. It seems to be more expensive than Jeju. I did not eat there though, so lets hope its better for the higher prices. Juices were $6.00 They have the circuit of rooms, gold, charcoal, hot clay oven, etc. Total of 9 rooms I believe was the count. The reason for three stars is what it DOESNT have. In the mens room every other Korean Spa has a hot sauna. This one does not. Only a steam room. The three small pools, 2 hot and 1 cold have no water movement. Still water, no jets of water like most have. It has no place to really sit unless you sit on the edge of a pool or sit in the steam room. It should have chairs or benches. People can get light headed if they stay in there too long. The competition has a warm marble stone area to lay out. They really should put in a bench or something as often people just like to chill a bit or rest. There is also a movie theater. Seems odd to spend on that and skip some of the basics. The uniforms you wear are Asian sizes. So if your a normal size American dont go for your size, take at least 1 size larger. I suggest 2 sizes. Loose is better for something like this. When I got there there were some misbehaved kids screaming and running around and the Dad could care less. The help let it go on. It went on for a good while. This place needs to take people that let their kids do this and throw em out!!! They have a family special sign at the front desk with details, and a 1 parent pays 1 kid gets in free. Oh no! In my opinion these kinds of places are more for adults and a place to relax and unwind. Not a place to bring the kids to misbehave and ruin everyone elses day. Catering to non paying kids I think is a big mistake. The paying adults will go elsewhere. The place wasnt that busy but thats no reason to let your kids go wild. This is not a playground. However it may become one with these kids deals. If they are smart they should start some NO KID days and test that out too! Normal adult entry is $28. 65 and over $18 You can buy multi visit cards or unlimited memberships too. It is in a shopping complex with plenty of free parking. read more

I used to live in the DMV where I was introduced to Spaworld in Centreville, VA. Spa Land is my first ATL Korean spa experience, and I loved it! @spaland_ga This is a sample itinerary for Spa Land, imo: 1. Check in and get your towel & gown & wristkey. 2. Enter the locker room and start with the hot pools (they didn't have as strong jets as Spaworld, which is probably the one minus) 3. Go out to the common area and try out 3 hot sauna rooms 4. Take a food break at the cafe (the food is actually pretty reasonably priced, and pretty decent portions! We tried the ramen and the kimchi fried rice, yum! It comes with 3 small banchans and 1 bowel of miso soup.) 5. Take a movie break at any of the 3 movie areas: there's one upstairs with nice recliners, one downstairs next to the sauna rooms, and one inside a room towards the cafe area. 6. Try 3 more hot sauna rooms 7. Go for a body scrub or massage or whatever treatment. The body scrub is $50 and you do get a pretty thorough scrub. I felt like she scrubbed me 5x. My pores actually got slightly inflammed when she finished, but she said it was normal and it did go away. Not for people with sensitive skin, but great if you want to do this once in a while! This will NOT finish with a coat of moisturiser, so you have to help yourself to the Lubriderm supplied in the locker room. 8. Try 2 more hot rooms, and save the ice room for last to seal off your pores. You can do this order or not, this is just the order I feel works best, since the body scrub is about 30 min and the last appointment stops at 9:30pm. Keep mind that it's 24hours for your entry ticket, so some people come later at night and stay overnight. There IS a "sleeping room" with pillows, and it is segregated by a wall for males vs. females & family. But...I felt that the charcoal room had a nice temperature that wasn't too hot and would prefer to sleep there perhaps. It's really close to all these Korean restaurants, hotpot places, bubbletea cafes, etc, so you can eat a meal there inside, but also emerge outside for dinner in the area. read more

Spa Land is a place that I usually come to very frequently. I have been going religiously for the past two years. During these two years I experience wonderful service. One of the great benefits is the fact that it is very large so you can have your own space. The facility is very clean & I typically have an amazing experience. The place is so great that I have told many friends and family about it. However .... During my last visit I had such a terrible experience that once I witnessed the situation I had to leave. I don't know if I'll ever be coming back. There was a kind young lady named Angie helping me at the café. I am vegan, I ordered some thing and forgot to ask if there were any animal products inside of it simply because usually when I come, there isn't. There was eggs in my dish but it was my fault not Angie's. I asked Angie once she gave me my food if they change things in the kitchen. She made me aware that they did a few months ago. So I didn't know that this was technically my fault. However, like any restaurant would once you make them aware of your dietary restrictions they can change the error no problem. This was not my experience at Spa Land. The kitchen manager yelled so loudly and made a awful scene in front of multiple customers, including myself over my minor error. The yelling was so bad that it made Angie cry... I feel horrible because I did not think it would've been that big of a deal. However, the fact that they treat their employees that way disgust me. I even pulled the manager aside to have a discussion about the situation and she didn't help much. She Morceau excused the behavior of the chef. I'll think that was one of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had in customer service. I was so upset by the experience and the response from the manager that I had to leave after the situation transpired. Typically I stay at Spa Land for five hours or more I believe because of this issue I only stayed for two. They still have amazing massages. Great sauna rooms and an excellent facility. I would've given them a higher score if it wasn't for this one situation however, I believe Angie deserved better. And that's just not how you treat people. She was yelling to her in her native language, and in English as well, but I did hear her yell shut up very loudly as well as other things. This situation makes me so uncomfortable. For me to spend all the money I spend there for the purpose of relaxation and the managers nasty belittling spirit to completely kill my vibe in the mist of five minutes, really bothered me. I feel like I wasted my money and time. I doubt I will ever be going to Spa Land again. I still feel horrible... to Angie I apologize for my mishap falling back on you. Walking in, I was immediately met with wonderful front-desk staff who welcomed my girlfriend and I with a bright, warm smile. Anyways, they handed me my locker keys and I headed off to the mens locker room. My first impression of this place was cleanliness. It could be because it's the grand opening BUT all I could think about was how clean and upscale everything felt. There were plenty of showers and wonderful amenities that are staples in any Korean-style sauna such as: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The common area was massive! About twice as large as Jeju Sauna, their competitor down the road. This building was intended to become another Super H-mart but apparently they changed their mind so the building was empty for some time before Spaland purchased it. There are plenty of themed rock rooms (Gold, Jewel, Jade, Charcoal, etc.) with beautiful and unique designs. There's an indoor moviw theatre which is great...except it only plays Korean films without subtitles so I guess they know their demographic (although I would love to watch). There is a dining area with pretty good food, a childrens play area, a study/rest area, as well as many reclining chairs and tables and sleeping pads. As of typing this up, the place is pretty empty and quiet which is very nice as I've found Jeju to have become overcrowded and too loud for my tastes. Everyone in GA knows that Jeju was the place to go and relax if you wanted to go to a Korean-style sauna. Finally it has some competition! Will definitely be coming back here! read more

Had no idea that another Korean spa/sauna was opening up. It's about 2 months old btw. Jeju got some competition now. If anything, they need to learn a thing or two about running a sauna. I frequently go to JeJu with my partner since it's the only real, large Korean spa near Atlanta, so we were very excited to hear about a second one opening. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet when we arrived. We had coupons for free admission thanks to a promo they were doing, but I hear the price is competitive to JeJu now but are planning on raising it later. The space is very large, open, and beautiful. It feels cleaner and more upscale than JeJu--this does mean it feels less homey as a result, but I honestly prefer the modern and polished feeling. The lockers are very nice and built so it's easy to organize and store your things. Again, I appreciate how bright, clean, and modern everything is. In the women's sauna room, there are really nice showers (good water pressure and very customizable) with shampoo, conditioner, and soap in dispensers (instead of the bar soap that I hated at JeJu). Towels are easy to find. There are two hot tubs and one cold tub, as well as a steam sauna. The body scrub area was pretty dead, but then again, there were only five people in the sauna room at the moment. In the common area, it's a wide and open space with nice seating areas and a multitude of beautiful, well thought sauna rooms. We appreciated that many of the rooms are true saunas and really do have you sweating. Each room is an experience, body bodily and aesthetically, so we really enjoyed trying them all. They also have recliner areas with television if that's your thing. At first I found this odd, but tried it out and immediately fell in love with the idea. I almost fell asleep right there! The food is also more impressive than I thought it'd be. I expected it to be overpriced and decent tasting, but it's actually quite delicious! We got some tea and coffee, the kimchiguk, tteokbokki, pumpkin porridge, and the roasted eggs. All so good. The kimchi actually tasted decent as well, and the portions they give you are massive! Anyway, long story short, I'll probably go back here instead of JeJu honestly. Definitely a good experience. read more

It's Saturday evening and unlike Jeju Spa which is 10 minutes away and would be crowded, I actually have a table to sit at to eat dinner here at Spa Land and Sauna. Not sure if it is because many people do not know about Spa Land but I love it. Had a great body scrub, the food was good and it seems like more of where the local Koreans come to relax. My husband felt as if the dry saunas were actually hotter than Jeju and was sweating bullets. It is very spacious and clean. I bought a Groupon admission ticket ($37 for 2 people) for my husband and I to go on Friday. When we arrived, we were checked in quickly and they went over the typical rules and services they offered in the back. They do keep your ID until the end when you return with your locker keys. My husband and I had a very relaxing time here. This place was spacious, clean, quiet, not crowded, and had very modern decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff was great and very attentive when I needed something. We did buy kimchi fried rice to eat at the food court and it was pretty good and I also thought that the portion was good for the price. Be sure to check this place out!! Just FYI: - if this is your first time beware, you'll have to be naked in some areas inside the locker room. - you can change in the bathrooms inside the locker rooms if you are not comfortable getting naked out in the open! - to be out in the sauna areas you'll have to be in your sauna outfits (provided by the place) - admission price is good for all day! Short version: skip Jeju- come to Spaland. If you're coming from ATL, it's actually in the same area, so I wouldnt say it's "further out". This place offers all the same amenities but is a newer, cleaner facility and not nearly the same crowd because it is new. Also I would say I've had good experiences with the staff- wish I could say the same for the older competitor. Body scrub is recommended. If you're like me and not a huge fan of the fried food, there is a very good Asian restaurant a couple doors down from Spaland. Overall very good value and worth the trip. read more

I will always give this place a 5 star! Starting off, there is free parking. It is located in a plaza off off Buford Hwy and N Berkeley Lake in Gwinnett County in Georgia. I have only been twice. The first time going, I stayed overnight for my birthday They end the amenities at a certain time, but it is still relaxing to hang out in the saunas. The most recent time that I went, I was able to take advantage of the hot tubs, steam room, body scrub and hip bath services. I wasn't able to get a massage this time, I ran out of time. When you walk in, you pay (I ended up buying a gift card). You go into the locker room and they will give you a shirt and shirt set to change into; to be used when you walk into the coed space. If you are getting a body scrub, hip bath, using the pools or steam room, you go in and shower before each. There is an eating area. You can buy bottled soda or water. They serves traditional Asian foods: fried rice, ramen, teas as well as burgers, chicken tenders, fries, coffee, juices, smoothies etc. Prices are reasonable. You pay by scanning your key that was giving at the front desk. There is also a movie theatre, resting room, sleeping room, and a kids area. There are about 8-10 dry saunas. During covid, there is a 15 min limit and 3-4 person limit in each. Masks are also required. I really prefer this place rather than another because it is a lot less calmer/ less busy. I plan to go at least one weekend a month. read more

I'm using Jeju Sauna as a baseline. Spa land is cleaner and at 9:30am considerably uncrowded. Patrons respect the etiquette of respecting the silence. At JeJu I witnessed many a loud mouth ruining the peace. Spaland saunas don't get as hot as JeJu. If you're looking for a sweating inducing experience this spot probably isn't for you. There was so much room allocated for lounging as in Easy chairs and such. I didn't notice any water bubblers in the main hall; JeJu has/has bubblers. The sizing of the complimentary uniforms ran WAY small. If you want to share the experience with someone this is the spot. If you want to open pores you didn't know you had JeJu! read more
