Saunas are average at best. If you go on a weekend, expect a lot of bachelorette parties and girls events. Also, be aware that there are some people who use this as a cheap alternative to a hotel. My upper back is in shambles because I work at a desk 8-10 hours a day. Zhennette explained whah she was doing at each step of the way and continually checked in to make sure that I was okay and wasn't feeling too much pain. However, what concerned me most was what happened afterward. After completing my facial, the esthetician, Mimi, left the treatment room to allow me to get dressed. When she stepped out, she also went to get me a mimosa, but when she returned, she unexpectedly opened the door without knocking, nor announcing herself, or waiting for me to indicate that I was ready. I was still undressed and had not yet put my robe back on. Startled, I quickly told her that I would be right out. I felt that my privacy was violated. The esthetician, Mimi, knew I was in the process of getting dressed, so I don't understand why she would enter the room without any warning. I found this disrespectful and uncomfortable, as though I wasn't being afforded the basic privacy and courtesy that an adult guest should expect. During a previous visit, while relaxing in the Quiet Room after my treatment, I requested another glass of wine. An employee abruptly snapped at me, "Well, how many have you had?" in a sharp, nasty, and accusatory tone, with a frown on her face, as though she were angry with me. Her delivery felt unnecessarily aggressive and condescending, as though I were a child being scolded for simply asking for another drink. I responded that I had only had one glass. Rather than explaining why she was questioning me, she walked away without any explanation. When she returned, I asked her why she had questioned me about how many drinks I had consumed. Only then did she explain that there was a two-glass limit, which I had no issue with. My concern was the disrespectful manner in which she addressed me. Rather than simply explaining the policy courteously, she made me feel as though I had done something wrong by asking. The interaction was unpleasant and detracted from the peaceful, relaxing experience I had just paid to enjoy. I enjoy the spa's atmosphere, but these experiences have made me hesitant to recommend this location. I believe greater attention to customer service, professionalism, and guest privacy would improve the overall experience.

I pretty much exclusively get foot massages because I have severe psoriasis and I'm really self conscious. The massage therapists here are extremely understanding of my health issues and my decreased mobility over the years. They always make it comfortable and welcoming for me and are mindful of my autoimmune flareups. Some days I can't move properly, have zero mobility in my hands, and they accommodate me and help me move a bit better. Some days I scratch myself silly and it looks like terrifying, but they still help me find peace by putting the lotion on my calves and loosen up the muscles. I always add CBD (additional $10) but it helps calm my skin down a lot and it's great for my rheumatoid arthritis flareups. The quality and care Spring Massage delivers is comparable to those of high end "spas" without the hefty price tag. The prices are more than reasonable, their massage therapists are incredibly skilled and are willing to listen to your needs. I overheard another customer who came here for a pregnancy massage, and she had a few special requests. The owners listened and made sure they understood her completely before setting her up with a massage therapist. If you're looking for relaxing self care session that won't break the bank and walk away feeling like you're ready to face reality again, I highly recommend coming here to check it out for yourself. I am writing this one to protect you! This is a declining resort, pretending to offer a luxury, high-end resort experience. There is absolutely no importance placed on customer service. The facilities and grounds are underwhelming for the price. It was not clean. And they do not value their guests. I spent so much money to stay a weekend with my fiancée to celebrate our engagement. We were incredibly excited. Coming home, I felt like I had been tricked out of my money. Our room was not ready when we arrived at check-in time. They scrambled to get the champagne and roses ready, ruining the surprise for my fiancée. The spa was consistently unclean: dirty towels left on furniture, stepping over empty glasses and cups everywhere, and the men's locker room looked like no one had attended it all day. Good luck getting in touch with any of the staff. They are understaffed and disorganized. Whether it was the spa desk, a restaurant, room service, management... we were constantly playing phone games, reaching voicemail, and never getting a call back. The massages were a horrible value. They were very expensive, yet mediocre, and my massage therapist talked during most of it about himself. It was not a relaxing experience. Every place we ate at the resort was overpriced and also mediocre. During our second day, my fiancée had stomach issues due to the food we had eaten. So we were unable to attend our wine tour. When I explained this to management, and tried to get a refund for the tour (or at least a credit), we had to again play many phone games before being told nothing would be done. The lack of customer service, especially for the level of service we were expecting and paying for at a "luxury" resort, is truly the most disappointing aspect of Chateau Elan. Please!! Do not make the same mistake we did, do not waste your money! Personally, I wish i'd stayed at the Hampton.
