Spavia Spa Chamblee offers full spa services without all the extra bells and whistles. While I do wish they had a sauna, the quality of the services truly makes the membership worth it. I used my Premier membership for a full-body massage with therapist Kiesha, and she did an excellent job working out the kinks and knots in my shoulders. I left feeling far more aligned than when I arrived. I also had a facial with Videta, which was absolutely amazing. My skin felt hydrated, even-toned, and glowing afterward. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with her to improve my overall skin health. Where do I start? I just had the best massage of my life yesterday. My therapist was so patient, intentional, professional, gentle, attentive, supportive, and highly skilled. It's obvious that this spa ensures they have quality therapist on staff. This was one of the first times-- since a traumatic injury that pains me everyday--that a massage therapist actually focused on that area properly after asking where I needed support at. She actually listened. It's the next day and that already feels a million times better. Hello Gorgeous is what I would say to Spavia if she could talk. Nestled in a residential/ commercial shopping center in Chamblee, this on the go Spa is amazing! The staff is on point!! They are extremely nice and courteous! After checking in and filling out a semi long questionnaire/waiver form, we went to the waiting area and it was cozy with comfy chairs and beverages. There was a tea selection so I made some, of course, but the water was a bit cold for tea. I think the young lady changed it after a while. Kristina was my expert for the day and I got the purifying detox wrap. It was great and just what I needed. A mixture (containing nuts) is spread all over your body. The mixture is also placed on your hands and feet and they are placed in bags to rejuvenate. She wrapped my body up and I laid (aka slept... lol) there for about 10-15 min. When she came back in she unwrapped me and said that my skin absorbed the mixture well. My skin was so soft the rest of the day. I planned to take a shower after, but Kristina suggested that I wait until the next day and recommended that I hydrate well. She offered me mint tea or water, of course I chose the mint tea. I had such an amazing experience at THE Spavia, wow. My boyfriend gifted me a full experience for v-day so I finally got the chance to stop in -- I live in the area, so lovely to finally see what Spavia is all about! I received a few treatments: essential signature CBD 60-min massage + Fijian perfecting foot treatment, 15 mins. I was treated by Kimberly, who I must say was absolutely outstanding. Thank you for tending to my body's needs and taking great care of me. My boyfriend also gifted me a membership, so I plan to be back for Kimberly's hands EACH time! Spavia was such a professional, relaxing, spotless environment; truly a gem. A few things to note: they do offer different tiers of memberships (essential, premiere & ultimate -- 3, 6, 9 or 12 months). They are currently running a special for all new membership sign-ups that takes roughly $20 off the original packaged price, a pretty sweet deal. This allows for 1 service/month, you choose from a massage, body treatment or skin care. They are tucked around a few other businesses and parking can be extremely limited; there is a parking garage with additional parking. Great ambiance and value! This day spa sets themselves apart by really immersing you into it with a personal robe, slippers, small changing room, and private waiting area prior to your experience. I like that more than some of the other chain massage places in town that grab you from the waiting room and throw you into a massage chair. I've been here a few times now and have loved getting their signature massage and facial. The facial with Isabella (she's the main esthetician) is SO RELAXING. She has the calmest demeanor and really helps you relax if that's your goal. I don't have too many skin care issues so I asked her to focus on the massaging and I literally almost fell asleep. My massages here have also been AMAZING although I do wish they focused more on hands and feet. I feel like they don't spend any time in these areas. I usually don't have to tell other places to focus on those and it usually comes incorporated but I feel like they skip out on that here, hence only 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, they do a great job on my usual trouble areas (neck and upper back). Everything here is set to help you relax from letting you choose your music to your lotion scent. I love that! The relaxing experience abruptly ended when I went to pay and my gift cards were not honored. My daughter and I enjoyed a beautiful mother/daughter spa day, treating ourselves to the Premier Signature 80 minute massage. When we went to use the Spafinder gift cards, that have Spavia listed on the front as one of the highlighted businesses, I was shocked and disappointed to find out that the Chamblee location no longer accepts Spafinder gift cards. This news is not posted anywhere in the lobby. Nor was I asked when I booked the massage how I intended on paying. I ended up having to unexpectedly pay the over $300 bill myself! The prices are reasonable, and the spa is very relaxing and clean-- they have lounges with tea, robes and slippers, and hot neck towels while you wait. I have found the staff to be incredibly friendly and professional. I just had a massage with Allison today, and she put in a lot of care and expertise dealing with an issue I've had with my shoulder. First time customer. Scheduled the appointment Monday for Tuesday. Recommended by Groupon. I prefer Spa resorts over chain locations due to the customer service. Greeted by two individuals and completed paperwork. Preparation I was escorted to restroom and changing area. I requested a larger robe and was told it should fit but if not we can get you another one. Well of course you know it did not fit. The young lady was outside of restroom waiting with the larger robe. I changed and sat in the relaxation room. I was never told where beverages are located. After 3 minutes I was called to the back. Mishap I was booked for facial instead of massage 1st. The young lady kept convincing me it is okay. I have been receiving both services for years and I choose the facial afterwards because of the relaxation portion and how you feel after a massage. I have never received the facial first. I was escorted to the front area and was told I can wait 35 minutes and start the massage and then receive facial afterwards. Which should be 2:20pm. Well while I am in the relaxation room the young lady comes and informs me that my facial will not be started until 3:40pm. So a service that should have taken 2 hours is now taking 5 hours. I am a first time customer and my service was terrible. The actual spa is very nice and clean it has a zen feel with spacious lockers. Being that it was my first time here I was excited because the front desk staff were friendly and inviting. After I changed into my robe I waited 30 minutes after my actual appointment time which is fine I had no where else to be, but no one updated me on what was going on. Finally when my esthetician came she told me what happened. I have never received such a terrible facial in my life. She was unfriendly, I'm not sure she was very experienced and the whole facial was rushed. When she applied products it got into my eyes, when she was using the microdermabrasion machine she was missing spots on my face and she let my skin pull. Be aware of your time! I only got a 30 min massage that really wasn't full body and was told I had to pay for 60 min massage. I spoke to front desk agent about only paying for 30 minutes they said they had to contact their owner and they would call me back the next day. I bought a Groupon and sometimes, I expect low quality but this place blew me away! I bought the combo (facial and massage) for the weekday. I made an appointment via phone and got the day and time I wanted without any issues. I strolled I'm on a Tuesday and I saw a man sitting in the small lobby. But nonetheless, it felt like I was the only customer and I love the attention I received! I didn't feel rushed or ambushed by heavy traffic. Natasha was my esthetician and her facial felt so great on my face. Probably one of the best in my life. She listened to me and oblige to my requests (no extractions). She didn't push or shove any services on me. I even fell asleep because it was that relaxing and felt so awesome. Eventually I woke up, looked in the mirror and my face looked amazing!!! My massage was handled by another woman (whose name I forgot‍) and she was so nice. I asked her to adjust the pressure as she started; which she happily applied more pressure. The facial was very good. Everything else was subpar. I believe this started with the receptionist who made the last call to me. I was busy at work and it was the 4th call regarding our appointment. I was short with her, and for that I'm sorry. However, she later called my cousin (who was my guest there for the day) and made a comment that I seemed "overwhelmed". They called once to confirm the appointment...later to change the time.. which was actually the time they'd already give us... they called again to confirm the time and then a fourth time because they forgot to get an email address. Her lack of professionalism was symbolic of our entire visit. A prolonged wait for services, a massage with cold lotion by a woman who seemed inexperienced, and manager who voluntarily gave us a discount and said, "I'm so sorry for all the mistakes during this visit so I'll give you a more than generous discount" Really? My husband made an appointment for me on my 30th birthday. My previous experience here have been wonderful. The spa itself is beautiful and very relaxing. Unfortunately I never got my massage on this occasion. The receptionist came in the waiting area about 15 minutes into my appointment time and said my therapist was running late and had not arrived. She then came back about 25 minutes into my time and said my therapist had over slept but there was another therapist that would be there in 20 minutes. I left as we were on a schedule and spending almost 2 hours at the spa would have ruined the remainder of the day. The receptionist was apologetic and nice but it's still a bit of a bummer. My husband bought me a groupon to Spavia for our anniversary but I was highly skeptical since not every spa is up to standard. I used to be a member at a spa that shut down last year so I was way overdue. Everything about this place is top notch. The low lighting. The privacy. The robes. The slippers. The changing room - which even has a shower available. It's impeccably clean and tidy, and the women's retreat (waiting room) offers beverages and heated neck pillows while you wait. This is a true luxury day spa at reasonable prices - i would have never guessed it was a chain. Scheduling my appointment was easy - they had me in the system so i didn't even have to dig out my groupon printout. Jose Luis is a master masseuse - he made me feel so comfortable and asked about which areas to focus on most. I'm recovering from a back injury so he paid extra attention to that area. He read my pre-appt survey and had all my scents prepared. 24 hours later i'm still feeling loose and happy. I can't wait to go back. Natasha did the best facial I've ever had. She also paid attention to the pre- survey and used products that my skin likes, like vitamin c and citrus. My skin glowed when she was done and when I got home my children kept touching my face (haha!). Both service providers honored my survey request for no conversation, and I thought that was a nice touch. One special note: i'm a very large woman and i'm always a bit nervous that i'll be treated differently or frowned upon. Every single person at Spavia including other clientele was kind and the staff aimed to please at every turn. They were genuinely happy to do their best work. I have large feet as well (11W) and the slippers fit me comfortably, which was a first. The location in phenomenal and is surrounded by other new stores in a brand new retail development. I was greeted at the door by the owner, Natalie. The staff were all very friendly and I was blown away by how clean the bathrooms and massage rooms were. I have been coming this spa since I was at 24 weeks of pregnancy. They have a very professional massage for maternity compared to other spas. At other spas, they just walk you to the massage room without changing. At this place, you take time ro relax your body and your mind. You change your cloths and wait the therapist at the waiting room. The maternity massage is so good. It relaxes my body, back pain and helps me have a good sleep. My therapist was Krista. She did a very good job. I haven't tried other services here. But so far, I highly recommend you guys to try this spa if you are pregnant. read more

This was my very first EVER spa treatment of any kind. I was curious about who it worked and how I would feel after I experienced and I can tell you that it was a great experience. It was an experience that I would love to do again and again. I went with my girlfriend and we got a couples massage on Valentine's Day. We also got our feet and hands done. The massage was with hot stones and it felt amazing. It burned a little at first but when you got use to it I was so relaxing . I felt like my masseuse was very attentive to what I wanted and he even found some areas on my back that I was not aware of. My back and neck hurt from time to time but I didn't know why. My girlfriend however didn't think that her masseuse was as attentive to things that she had wrong like for instance he didn't ask if there were some areas of concern that she wanted him to take care of. She actually has lower back problems so she likes those areas to be worked on very hard. I personally think that the overall experience was great and we will defiantly be back for some more services. I really was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the quiet room, robes, shower and lockers. It was more Spa like than I thought it would be even though Spa is in the name. My one recommendation to the spa would be to add spf face location to the locker room. If you have a facial and then massage you've certainly rubbed off all of the spf. Or if you take a shower after a service having spf face lotion is just a no brainer and would be a lovely complimentary touch. read more
