On my recent visit, I had a 60 minute full body massage with Scott, who was fantastic. He listened to my requests regarding pressure, and his therapeutic technique was one of the best I've experienced for targeting my specific problem areas. The room was spacious, and the heated table made it even better. Afterward, I got a waterless mani and pedi with Candy in their private nail suite. She was friendly, thorough, and did an amazing job! My hands and feet look perfect, and the heated massage chair in the nail room was a great touch! You get a true high end spa experience for what you'd normally pay at a standard nail salon. The atmosphere is really lovely, spacious, and clean. Everyone was very friendly, even offering ways for me to be more comfortable during my experience. The weighted lavender neck pillow was great. However, it's only been 4 days since my mani pedi and I'm already noticing the cuticles lifting and getting caught on things. Some of them are also very uneven and I understand with every nail treatment that's bound to happen but I just thought it would last longer. My facial was nice and I felt my skin was glowy after. But if I hadn't asked questions or said anything during the appointment, I don't think my aesthetician would've said anything. Again, I understand a silent peaceful vibe might have been what they were going for, but it almost felt I was interrupting that by wanting to know what was going on my face. I found this spa on a whim because the spa that I usually visit didn't have any appointments available. I called and was able to book an appointment with the receptionist. You can also book an appointment through the Vagaro app. The spa is located on Decatur avenue. I've passed by here numerous times and had no idea a spa was here. There was plenty of free parking available. When I entered, the receptionist greeted me and had me wash my hands due to Covid-19 procedures. You must also wear a mask the entire time you're in the spa. I arrived earlier than my scheduled appointment and was taken into a waiting area. Christina got me out of the room shortly afterwards. This spa has more of a rustic appeal, but is very charming. Christina introduced herself and asked me what areas I wanted her to work on. She's a fellow Sagittarius and gave off great vibes. Christina's hands are blessed! I caught myself dozing off a few time during our session. I asked for a combination of deep tissue/ Swedish massage and she delivered. The room smelled great and the temperature was cozy. I felt amazing afterwards. This was by far on of the best massages I've ever received. The owner, Kristen, is such a sweetheart and very professional, though not overly so. I am recovering from a breakout and have lots of dark spots from popping pimples (terrible, I know), so she performed a glycolic acid facial. To me, extractions are the best part of a facial because I feel like all the gunk is being cleaned out, and Kristen did a fantastic job! I had a Thai massage with Ashley the other day and it was amazing! I'm pretty picky about my Thai massages (I've had a LOT) and I was not disappointed. Ashley has an amazingly intuitive touch and I left feeling energized yet calm. I came in with a chronic shoulder and arm issue and I feel like she really addressed my problem areas. Infrared Sauna Suite: What a treasure! I tried out Rosefinch's sauna and was not only pleased by amount of heaviness that fell from my shoulders when I nestled in, but also that I could feel this way without having to drive OTP. I was able to do a longer meditation than usual and felt completely renewed as I stepped out of the sauna. A quick five-minute nap on the day bed and I was ready to take on the world. I'm also one for aestetics. Rosefinch decor is charming and inviting so I wasn't terribly surprised to find the sauna room well appointed and as equally relaxing visually. And the towels!
