I found this spa on a whim because the spa that I usually visit didn't have any appointments available. I called and was able to book an appointment with the receptionist. You can also book an appointment through the Vagaro app. The spa is located on Decatur avenue. I've passed by here numerous times and had no idea a spa was here. There was plenty of free parking available. When I entered, the receptionist greeted me and had me wash my hands due to Covid-19 procedures. You must also wear a mask the entire time you're in the spa. I arrived earlier than my scheduled appointment and was taken into a waiting area. Christina got me out of the room shortly afterwards. This spa has more of a rustic appeal, but is very charming. Christina introduced herself and asked me what areas I wanted her to work on. She's a fellow Sagittarius and gave off great vibes. Christina's hands are blessed! I caught myself dozing off a few time during our session. I asked for a combination of deep tissue/ Swedish massage and she delivered. The room smelled great and the temperature was cozy. I felt amazing afterwards. This was by far on of the best massages I've ever received. I discovered The Rosefinch Spa through a 50% ScoutMob deal. I was long overdue for a facial and couldn't pass on the opportunity to support a fellow entrepreneur, so I decided to go for it! The owner, Kristen, is such a sweetheart and very professional, though not overly so. I am recovering from a breakout and have lots of dark spots from popping pimples (terrible, I know), so she performed a glycolic acid facial. To me, extractions are the best part of a facial because I feel like all the gunk is being cleaned out, and Kristen did a fantastic job! Parking is plentiful and free, and the spa itself is charmingly cozy. It's also spic and span, an absolute must for this germaphobe. Infrared Sauna Suite: What a treasure! I tried out Rosefinch's sauna and was not only pleased by amount of heaviness that fell from my shoulders when I nestled in, but also that I could feel this way without having to drive OTP. I was able to do a longer meditation than usual and felt completely renewed as I stepped out of the sauna. A quick five-minute nap on the day bed and I was ready to take on the world. I'm also one for aestetics. Rosefinch decor is charming and inviting so I wasn't terribly surprised to find the sauna room well appointed and as equally relaxing visually. And the towels!
