I was greeted by the owner, Naaz as soon as I walked in and told her the service I wanted to get done. She was super friendly and very inviting! Within a few minutes, she was done and cost $12 plus tip. I got the look that I wanted and would come back here if I'm pinched on time. The place gets 4 stars for me because I wish that the chair was wiped down after each use. I have used Brow Nook for years and I usually have a great experience. Yesterday I went in to wait for a tech to do a wax. There was only one person working and she was finishing with a client. To my horror, the tech pulled her mask down under her chin and walked over to check out the client. She continued to not have her mask up for the entire payment process and was only inches from her customer's face. I mentioned it to her and she said she will put up the mask when working with a customer. But the rest of the time she is breathing out into the space and its a small space. So I wanted to get individuals to go on vacation the next day and I went to the Brow Nook cause it was around the corner. I got it done here and I REGRET it. As soon as I sat down in the chair and the lady bust open the individuals that you can get at a drug store, I knew I should have left the place but I didn't want to be rude. I could tell she that she had no experience with individuals. Another reason why I thought she had no experience was the way she dipped the extensions in the glue. The glue covered about half of the lash and the placement of the individuals were not centered on my lash line. Reason 3 was she wasn't being sanitary. Every time the tweezer was full of glue she used her fingers to wipe it off. Reason 4 she told the individuals was gonna last a week, but it only lasted a day. It came off not even 24 hours. I got them done around 4:30ish on a Friday afternoon and they came off the next day about 3:30ish that next Saturday. Now I did only pay $35 for the individuals. It was a cheap price but I could have put on false lashes for cheaper and looked better. From far away, it looked good but upclose you can see how thick the glue was and the placement of the individuals were crooked. Please do not go here to get your individuals done. read more

I am very unhappy about the service I received at Browbar Salon. I went in for a $5 eyebrow threading for their grand opening. This should have been a red flag. The lady who did my eyebrows had no idea what she was doing and completely messed my eyebrows up. First, she cut me. I am going to have a scab on my face because of her. Someone saw me right after I got the threading and asked me what happened (the cut). Second, the lady messed up my shape and cut a line through half of my eyebrow! I like my brows to be "on fleek" and they don't do that at Brow Nook. When I get my brows threaded I like my lines to be very sharp and precise. Today I told my brow person that I was dissatisfied with my brows. She then told me how my brows are too thin and poorly shaped and that's why she couldn't get them right. I get my brows done every other week and they always come out great. I showed her pictures of how my brows look after threading at other places and she attempted to make them look better. I've been going here about a year now. I drive pretty far to get their services. I get my eyebrows threaded and everything else waxed. I've used a lot of the technicians but LOVE Freda. Her disposition, technique, she speaks English well, she is patient with my "extraness" with the pain and always gets it right. I've never had to wait a crazy amount of time for any service. I would definitely recommend Freda and the Brow Nook. If I just have to find a complaint, it's that it's in a very popular shopping center. Meh. This place is super conveniently located near my home, but after visiting three times, I don't think I'll be back. I'm not a fan of threading, but I saw they offered waxing as well so I decided to give this place a try. There is never a receptionist there, so one of the women doing the threading always asks what I need when I walk in, and I tell them that I'm looking for an eye brow wax. However, when I'm brought back to be seen, they have started threading my eyebrows each time. When I remind them that I'm there for a wax, they act put off and tell me I should consider threading. If they act like waxing is such a hassle, why even offer it? Threading is popular enough they could surely sustain their business without the wax. Also, the wax never seems very hot and I often sense that the women don't really know what they're doing with the wax. Though they haven't messed up my eyebrows like I've read in other reviews, I often leave without really noticing a difference and wonder what I just paid for. read more

This was my first visit to the Brow Nook, and my first visit to any waxer in Atlanta. I had a wonderful experience overall and a wonderful service from my technician. The brow nook is easy to find in the Edgewood shopping center. It is near the Best Buy and the Wells Fargo and is on the second floor. I walked in with no appointment at about 12:30 on a Saturday (it was today and I had such a great experience I had to come write a review immediately) and was immediately seated. It's not a large place and I can imagine it does get busier at other times. I asked for an eyebrow wax, but after she finished she went through and threaded my brows a little bit as well. I didn't mind the combination, but other people might. I took heed of Melissa H's review for the other location and very explicitly told her that I wanted to keep my fuller brows and I did not want any reshaping, just a clean-up. I tell every eyebrow waxer the same thing, and this time the results were the best I have ever had from an eyebrow wax. I paid $10 for my service and you also get a punchcard for 9 eyebrow waxes and your 10th is free. If you live nearby or are just in the area I definitely recommend for your eyebrow needs! read more

I've been coming here since I moved to Atlanta a couple of months ago and have always had a positive experience until today. The new employee that did my eyebrows did a fantastic job and really took her time to make sure it was perfectly shaped. When I went to pay I showed her my yelp check in deal and she asked for assistance putting it in since she was the. The other employee said there under new management so it's no longer valid. I stated that's not accurate since I used it two months ago. She then stated I could only use it one time and I said the yelp offer does not state that and I've used it here twice before. She allowed me to use and then got on the phone talking in her native language to someone and sounded pretty upset. The girl that did my eyebrows was apologetic and said that the other lady only works on weekends and was talking to the owner. If you're under new ownership and no longer want to have the yelp deal then contact yelp but it's false advertisement if you don't honor it. The salon is on the second level, and as soon as you walk in, you can tell how clean it is, which is important! **According to Yelp, if you check-in, you can get eyebrow threading done for $6. Note: This deal does NOT apply anymore, so I hope Yelp or the salon updates that soon. Since I was a first time customer and I was unaware, they honored the deal for me, which I thought was nice. I had never threaded my eyebrows before, so I wasn't sure to expect. I asked a few questions and she was very short and direct with me. I didn't really get a warm and welcoming vibe. I walked in, she had me sit down in a chair, she threaded my eyebrows, and I was up and out of there in less than five minutes. However I get into the chair eyebrows get arched via threading beautifully when I ask to have my eyebrows filled in because they are somewhat thin I was told they don't do that so you just going to Arch my eyebrows and just leave them thin and half way off huh? Instead I just told her don't worry about it she offered to fill them in with eyebrow powder when I got to look at my eyebrows in that mirror I wanted to slap this lady instead I told her I don't like that remove it. She removed it then we proceeded to move onto my eyelashes I brought my own eyelashes because sometimes I just need to know what style best fits my face. She goes to put the eyelashes on eyelashes had a little and that needed to be cut off so she cut it off on one lash but she left the other lash on my and didn't fix that one eyelashes look beautiful except for when I looked in the mirror one of them was buckling so she attempted to fix it however when I got in the car to go home that same buckling eyelash was still buckling my total charge for this service 20 bucks. I have to say and I highly recommend that if anybody cares anything about their eyelashes and eyebrows at you go somewhere else because these folks clearly aren't ready I don't understand a salon that likes to sell eyebrow and eyelash kits but yet don't use them meaning they have they offer to sell you the eyebrow kit with the eyeliner pencil in it but they don't know how to use it. read more
