I was so nervous to get my eyebrows microbladed - I followed Angela's work for over a year and finally decided to sign up. IT IS SO WORTH IT!! Angela is an eyebrow queen and does incredible work!! I honestly couldn't even believe how amazing and natural they look. This is a permanent tattoo on your face so you need to make sure you do your research and find someone who knows what they're doing. The appointment is about 2 hours, she spends about an hour getting your shape perfected. You both agree to the shape and then she starts the work. It doesn't hurt at all. She does a first pass which is uncomfortable feeling but then she puts numbing cream on it and you don't feel a thing! I am still waiting to get my touch up but I am SO happy with the results right now and looking forward to my touch up. I haven't had to fill them in at all since I got them done so I can't even imagine how much better it'll be once I get my first touch up. She books up for a few months in advance so you need to plan accordingly! Also, go ahead and book your touch up when you make your original because her calendar will be full - because she's so amazing! She gives you all the information for after care and some cream you have to put on your brows. I was out and about that same day and no one even noticed! The 10 days after you just have to treat them delicately but I had no peeling or anything! They looked amazing immediately after. The worst part is you can't sweat for 10 days. I want to start by saying I never come on these sites and review a company negatively- this is a first. My experience with Expressions Brow Studio is simply unfortunate. I did not even have the opportunity to have my service, as the company was completely inflexible with their rescheduling policy. For context I made an appointment in Feb with the first availability for me in June (the 17th). I am now pregnant and tattooing my eyebrows is not allowed, per their policy and of course health standards. I received a reminder email 48 hours prior to my appt and immediately called realizing I needed to notify and reschedule my appt after the delivery of my baby. I was told I had to cancel. I kindly requested a reschedule with my deposit applied to the date I reschedule after my delivery. I was told the studio would not do that. I again politely asked for some flexibility given my situation of now being pregnant and not able to have the service at this time since it's prohibited. At that point I was mocked and questioned if I had just found out "today" I was pregnant? It was an absolutely out of line manner of speaking to a client. What's unfortunate is I have friends who have gone to this brow studio because the "work is good" but the attitude is unfortunate. She may speak to clients in a manner that is tolerable and some acquiesce just to have great looking brows, but I refuse to not mention my unfortunate experience which included her yelling once I questioned her rescheduling policy! Regardless, the owner of this company told me in closing I was banned from the studio (again another first for me). I've never been banned from any establishment but I think it's worth noting this company will ban you for questioning a reschedule policy in pursuit to keep your deposit. Tip: setup your clients for success and email reminder notification greater then the 72 hour cancellation policy or honor rescheduled appointments by applying the deposit to the rescheduled date. Your appointments are booked out months ahead. Your company can sustain the good customer service practice rather then speak disrespectfully over a $100 deposit! read more

After my initial appointment, my brows healed a little too light for my liking. During my touch-up I let Jennifer know I wanted a more "makeup" type look and she gave me exactly what I wanted! I'm not who I'd consider to be the typical candidate for cosmetic procedures. I'm fairly low-maintenance, live an active life and don't dress up often. I wear just enough makeup to cover my dark circles, add some color to my naturally pale face and make my blonde eyelashes slightly more visible :) Having been born with baby fine blond hair, eyebrows were never a prominent feature on my face--nor were they ever going to be. After the pencil-thin brow trends of the late 90's, there was little left of what little was there to begin with! I used latisse for years in hopes that they might grow back or become a bit more visible... with very little luck. So, I did what many of us do--fill in (with varying results! lol) with powders, pencils, gels, etc each day--to give the appearance of a full, healthy, face-framing brow. Being the non-makeup queen that I am, this was a near-daily exercise in futility. If I got them on and looking good (read: *natural looking*), they look MIGHT last a handful of hours--and I'm not the type to care enough to touch up makeup frequently. Enter Angela and Expressions Brow Studio... after seeing her clients' results, I was SO intrigued. I've always thought of permanent makeup as some kind of garish clownface thing, and of course, never considered it for myself. I decided to take the plunge two weeks ago and I can tell you that EVERY DAY has been different for me since. Who knew brows could do that? ;) I now spend half the time I normally would getting ready, which means a LOT to this busy mom and business owner. I now look DONE without being done up--and they look absolutely natural and perfect and don't fade away after working out! I could have never consistently achieved this shape and definition on my own, and wouldn't have bothered to try, either. Now I'll always have that element of polish without needing to spend an hour in the mirror trying to get it right (who has time for that, anyway?). This was my first tattoo (that's technically what this is, although the technique is very different), so I didn't really have an idea of what I'd experience. Angela uses copious amounts of numbing agents and does this at regular intervals so all you really feel is a slight sensation, not pain, during the process. I did have some discomfort in the beginning, but that went away quickly. Knowing that I'll have this part of my get-ready routine HANDLED for the next several years makes a small amount of discomfort completely bearable. Many report that they experience no pain at all--and I should note that I have some redhead-type tendencies and have a little bit of resistance to anesthetics... which likely explains my experience. Angela is an absolute blast to work with, and takes time to listen, get your input, and draw things out perfectly so you can get a good idea of what you'll wind up with when she's done. She's incredibly meticulous and takes her time to create perfection! I really can't say enough about how easy she made this for me... I mean, this is a face tattoo (omg! on my face!) and she left me completely confident that everything would turn out perfectly.... and they did :) THANK YOU for saving me TIME and MONEY and helping me wake up a little more fabulous every day!
