I came here after being recommended by the only lash artist that I truly like their work and trust. However, she has become so busy that it's almost impossible to get a session. Booking online with About Face was easy and convenient. Locating the place was a little tricky, but thanks to other Yelpers I was able to verify that I was at the correct place. I arrived extra early as it was my first time, but know that Sharalton only sees one client at a time, so you must wait in your car until your appointment time. The spa is decorated well and appears clean. Sharalton took his time to get a sense of what I wanted, like and don't like. As a result, he gave me lashes that I am extremely happy with. About Face Atlanta (AFA) is a hidden gem - it doesn't even begin to describe how my skin regimen has changed since I've started receiving facials at About Face Atlanta. I recently moved back to Atlanta and have seen estheticians in multiple cities and received consistent facials from larger corporate spas (Hand Stone Massage, Couture MedSpa, etc) and by far About Face is hands down the best facial spa I've experienced. I've been to AFA 5 times prior to this review. He, consistently, takes his time to ensure that you are aware of the facial you are receiving including techniques and products he is using. Doesn't oversell the type of facial you need or push products on you (as with traditional corporate spas). Rather advises on the current state of your skin and what his recommendations are which is respectful and courteous. He's also very knowledgeable about how different climates, travel, ethnic background will affect your skin. About Face has 2 locations and are conveniently located to the city. The locations are meticulously (& seamlessly) designed to ensure you are relaxed and have a 'spa' experience. Personally, I care a lot about how I feel in the chair, the temperature of the room, overall look and feel of the studio. Sharalton is amazing! I surprised my sister for her birthday with a facial and she LITERALLY could not have been any happier with the experience and results. My sister has struggled with blackheads and bumps for years so the Deep Pore Cleansing Facial was a perfect fit for her. Sheralton knows his stuff! He explained his procedure, the purpose of the service, and equipment and gave me honest feedback and unbiased reviews of certain services tailored to me. He doesn't nickel and dime you and mislead you like other places. I informed him of procedures I look forward to, and he gave his opinion of what's is and is not necessary. Rather than agreeing to all and happily quoting me. I considered buying a series for a service, but he trusted I'd benefit from one or two visits opposed to the three. He was willing to work with me if he was not right or if I decided to increase the amount of services. I was comfortable since the place is quaint, it's a suite that serves one at a time. I never had microdermabrasion but wanted to try it after my forehead broke out. I dug deep into my skin trying to bust them & cause my forehead to scar bad & hated that it was taking forever to clear so I came to my trusty Yelp to find someone who performed the procedure. Got a Half Off Depot certificate for microdermabrasion-- enjoyed my visit, my face feels like a baby's bottom! It was the most thorough facial I've had in a long time and the treatment wasn't rushed. The only reason for four stars is that my décolleté got no love (which is usually included in a standard facial.) OMG! Who knew? I was hesitant about microdermabrasion... I had visions of Samantha at Carries book party on Sex & the City. But Sharalton was so sweet and made me feel at ease, so I decided to go for it. I have to admit, after the first session he gave me a mirror and I didn't see much difference. But later that day I did notice my skin looked and felt smoother. A few sessions later and my complexion is so much better. Sharalton is awesome, and the Half Off Depot deal is great. I bought a facial deal, booked the appointment via phone, and I went on a Friday morning. The salon is in an area that has been increasingly growing/expanding so there are great places to eat/drink around there as well. This is Sharalton's own personal business, and he takes pride in his work. I am particular about my facials because my pores are easily clogged, and I require extractions like no other. I had a wonderful experience. I got the minx eye lashes as well as the brow extensions. I am absolutely happy with my eye lashes. They are long big full and bold just how I like them ! Not only is Sharalton absolutely amazing, his skin care boutique is fabulous. Booking online was easy, it asked for a 25$ downpayment that later was included in the final price. I went in for a much needed deep pore cleansing facial and was extremely satisfied. Sharalton took the time to understand my skin and later explained to me in detail about my skin type and the type of cleansers that work and don't work, as well as moisturizers. Sheralton is fantastic. Over the holidays, i had a horrible skin allergy on my face. Let's just say, it was ugly. I went to About Face and met Sheralton. He helped me repair the skin on my face with microderabrasions, chemical peels, and other small additions from his array of tools. There were a lot of "extractions" done. FYI, if you have any kind of blemish you want to make sure is gone, he'll get rid of it. You can't wimp out, though. It's not the greatest feeling in the world but he'll make sure they'll heal beautifully. My skin is now smooth and blemish free. The scars i have are minimal but are slowly lightening after a few microdermabrasions. Sherlaton is PHENOMENAL. I definitely came out with better results than I could ever expect. I went recently for a deep pore facial and he got all my blackheads out. I have struggled with that for many years and he helped me clear it out. Told me what was going on and what I needed to do. He is so sweet, attentive, and intentional. I never had a facial, let alone microdermabrasion done to my face. I arrived and was greeted by Sharalton. He was very friendly! He made me feel very comfortable and gave me great recommendations for my skin. The microdermabrasion hurt a little but I knew somewhat to expect since they are basically taking off a layer of your skin and I had done a lot of research before deciding the treatment. Sounds scary but it's not at all. Felt like a very rough and scratchy cat tongue. He soothed it with cold steam and many different creams and cold and hot towels. Lots of extractions done which I was very excited about. It is a little hidden so you may want to call when you are close by.
