The studio was clean, comfortable and super cool with the exposed brick and large loft windows. Jennifer was fun and easy to talk to about anything and everything. We easily hopped between conversation subjects while she painlessly microbladed and microshaded my brows. I literally felt nothing thanks to the numbing agent she applied throughout the service. At the end of the application, she handed me a mirror and I was over the moon with how amazing my brows looked. As someone who has always had sparse eyebrows..she gave me hairstrokes in the front and a shaded, powdery tail. Dream brows kinda brows. I most definitely shared all my concerns with hyperpigmentation and was certainly nervous. I did get the stretch mark camouflage and 90 days post procedure, I can say that I can see a difference. The treatment is not too painful and Britt is very nice and personable.. the most time is matching the pigment color to your skin. If you have stretch marks I would say consider this treatment. Scheduling the first appointment was very easy and Ming seemed to be really helpful and nice. I canceled this appointment, which was my own fault I know. But things seemed to go downhill after that. I'm not sure if she's the only person that works there but it's very hard to get an appointment. She is often booked or has family plans/trips she's going on. If there were more technicians that would make things easier for all involved. Scheduling the actual appointment was probably one of the most frustrating things I've had to do in awhile. Nothing Ming said made sense and all of her days seemed to be confused. She would say she had a day available and then say she didn't have that day and so on. Finally I was able to get an appointment and was very excited. I waited all week for this, taking care not to drink or go in the sun a whole week prior like her website said. On the day of the appointment I drove 35 minutes and got there on time only to get no answer at the door. Not to mention the building was very sketchy and as you can see on here no reviews, so I couldn't tell you what her actually salon looked like. After texting her to say no one was answer the door she called me and let me know that she somehow forgot my appointment. How do you forget that you are going to micro blade someone's eyebrows that day? She says she forgot and was over an hour away. Then she proceeded to ask me why I was even getting done!! I mean micro blading is not just a simple thing and if you don't even know your client who paid a couple hundred dollars is getting this done then you clearly aren't an invested business owner. In my opinion it was a blessing in disguise, and I will pay the extra $200 dollars to go to a real salon, not a groupon deal, and get my eyebrows microbladed by a true professional that will not just forget my appointment and not even know what procedure we're doing that day. I go into the building and up the stairs. I knock on the door and nothing. I stand there and say maybe she's running late. I call her and no answer. I text and nothing. She calls back and first apologized and tells me she's out of town. (Mic drop) I say "it's fine call me when you get back". I promptly block her number and call Groupon for a refund. I ended up getting it done with Adora Tokyo. You can see her verifiable work on Instagram. I also payed less because she had a special on her website. It obviously wasn't meant to be with Ming.

She'd only been doing microblading for a year I think, and was trying to increase her clientele as a new artist. I liked the work I saw on her IG, so I decided to book with her. I was actually happy with the initial appointment! However recently, it's been difficult to book a touch-up appointment with her. Once I finally booked a touch-up appointment with her and paid yet another deposit, she even went as far as to cancel my appointment the day of 20 MINUTES before the appointment time (but only AFTER I text her to let her know I was on my way). The texts (claiming to be from an "assistant") state that she passed out earlier in the day and was at the ER. Of course I'm driving to the location, so I don't see the texts till after I park and start walking up. I'm reading and walking in and Gizelle is sitting at her BOOTH obviously NOT at the ER! She actually has a client in the waiting area with cream on her brows, so obviously she is still working! She claimed that her "assistant" was on her way back to the salon to finish the client and that her fiance was on his way to take her to the ER. When I asked her why did I only get this info at the last minute (since she was clearly just sitting there on her phone), she went into defense mode about how she's done working and "I just told you what it is." I asked her about rescheduling and she would barely let me get a word in cause she kept going on and on about "it is what it is." Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful! She lied about being at the ER because she wanted to service another client. She gave me my deposit back then told me she'd refund me a portion of the services. As I left the salon, I briefly told her client what was going on and of course Gizelle told her client not to listen to me. Not even a full 10 minutes after I left, the "assistant" starts texting me from Gizelle's phone apologizing for the mixup. I have no time for Gizelle's games and unprofessionalism. I would never treat a client this way! Before I left, I remember Gizelle telling me, "it's your fault for still showing up." Ma'am, I was DRIVING, with my phone on the dock (hands-free law) paying attention to my GPS. You sent those texts at the last minute! And I saw them after I parked and started walking up. I will have to find another microblading artist to complete my services. She did refund a small portion of the money, but she also blocked me from her IG? I hadn't even said anything about it publicly, but it seems she's trying to run from the issue instead of taking ownership, and blame an assistant that doesn't exist! Then ladies in front of me might have received that but I sure didn't. She mapped my brows out although they are very sparse. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my brows because I have big eyes I didn't want my arch so high. She explained that's how she had to do them. Yeah right! She mapped them but someone else filled them. You didn't ask was it ok. My brows are first not even. They don't look the same at all. I was told to trust the process. I made my second appointment the same day and made a deposit of another $100 even tho the total was to be $195. Also she took the rest of the money out of my account without asking or letting me know. I was to go to my second appointment and received an email confirming my appointment. Only thing is it was another location that was 30 miles from me. That is not what I agreed to so I requested a refund. She said she understand and asked for my cashapp information. She has not responded nor refund my money. I've sent her several texts. No response. Please do not go to ElevatedbyGizelle. She's a scam.
