We came in last night around 9:30 after my sons graduation. Instead of telling us the kitchen is closed like most places would we were warmly greeted and given a table for our party of 8. The atmosphere was family friendly and the waiter was nice. Our food was hot fresh and we couldn't have been happier. They didn't even rush us out of the place even though it was boast closing time by the time we finished eating and talking. I love this location and will be back. Overall spaghetti western is just okay. The food is decent but the service is really hit or miss and it can be pretty dirty, meaning it often is. This is definitely a volume not quality establishment, if you're in the mood for that. Their pizza is pretty good as are their calzones. It pains me to write this review. I used Uber Eats to order a Caesar salad with chicken. Instead, a plain house salad was delivered to my house. Further, there was a dead cockroach in the salad. Uber Eats refuses to refund my money because I only took pictures after finding it (in my picture the dead cockroach is next to, but not IN the food), and the restaurant's idea of a fix was to offer me a free entree.... As if I could ever eat a bite from this dangerous place again. Completely insane experience from a restaurant I really wanted to try and an app I have been loyal to for years. I been wanting to go here for lunch according to my co workers all give a high compliment of their homemade pizza. I made it here today for lunch, we ordered the ugly pizza(grill chicken with red onion and spicy chipotle sauce.) and shrimp and chicken pasta. Pizza- it's pretty fresh. I can feel the crispy of the crust. It's between thin and regular crust. Rich in cheese but I don't feel too cheesy. Pasta- a little bit too saucy and the pasta is a little soft. I've driven past the location on shepherd many times. So at least the brand recognition works. I did not realize they had opened a 2nd location in garden oaks/oak forest area. This location has a much bigger parking lot and easier access with less traffic. Once inside, we did not know what to expect, they are a fusion western and italian food? strange. To start off the meal they bring you fresh baked breadsticks, better than olive garden and that says a lot. I stuck to the pastas as far as my entree. I had the man's pasta? I honestly, can't remember the name but it was a bunch of everything. The base was crab cake, topped with grill chicken and then topped with crawfish with a bed of pasta all around. People might be thinking this is not a 5 star location, but the way I am rating is how well a certain spot meets my expectations - I have been here a lot of times - lunch only - they offer special lunch size portions which includes a side salad. All of their pasta is freshly cooked, so you can customize your meal. It is more basic but with a predictable steady quality. It's not a dinner date place - also considering it's location out in the hood lol. They play 80's music and you will spot a lot of these Italo Western movie ad's on the wall. I only keep going back because it reminds me of my friend Joe. He used to love this place and other holes in the wall, some only slightly better and most much worse than this one. Unbeknownst to me and most of his friends Joe had mental health issues. He had switched meds and then gone off of them entirely. That plus other issues pushed him over the edge. Super sad as he was he loudest, funnest, most vibrant, loyal friend you could hope to have and that I ever called my buddy. I miss him dearly. If you do venture into Spaghetti Western you must go full out - order the massive chicken parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo. It's basically a heart attack on a plate but don't let that bother you. This was my first time trying Spaghetti Western. I placed my order online via Slice and my order was ready in Like 20 minutes. I received friendly curbside service and heade to the crib to enjoy my Calamari Rings, which ended up being just a little on the not so warm side, they were still pretty good. Then I tried the star of my show , the Chicken Lasagna. Before tasting I tried some of my tomatillo sauce with one of the fresh baked breadsticks provided and it was tasty with some serious kick to it. I finally sliced into the lasagna and the chicken was VERY tender and juicy, unfortunately the 5-cheese blend was a little bland so it let me down just a little. We went there on Sunday afternoon, which clearly was a slow time for this restaurant. We were well-attended, and the food was served in ample portions. I ordered the Chicken Portobella, which had a large delicious side of fresh spinach sauteed with garlic and lemon, in addition to the chicken and pasta. My daughter asked for added vegetable in her seafood pasta, and they made that addition without any objection. The outside of the place looks sort of sketchy, but we were glad we went in anyway. The restaurant only had one waiter and not only that but the owner was at the bar drinking the whole time we were there. Lost Focus. I've eaten at S. Western for years and always enjoy the food. I always get the Formal Wear, which is a version of Macaroni Grill's Pasta Milano. My review today is about service. Our waiter was a nice guy, so no complaints on attitude. When my meal was served, he brought out a hamburger. Oops, didn't order that, although it looked good. On party got their meal correctly, but I had to wait while mine was prepared. Then, because I had a salad with my meal, my fork was taken with my salad when the server came to clear the table. This was my fault, but I would think a focused server would realize my oversight, but maybe I'm overthinking this. Then another gentleman came to refill out drinks. We were both having lemonade, but he put water in our glasses. The lemonade was light in color and could easily be confused as water. We got new lemonade. Well, it was a good lunch. It was my first time ever trying spaghetti western and I should've known by the name that it was going to be TRASH! We ordered the big appetizer plate and it looked and tasted like a mountain of leftovers. I got the safest thing on the menu when going to an "Italian" restaurant (spaghetti with meat sauce) and even that was disappointing. The good thing about the restaurant was the staff (our waiter) he was very polite and kept up with our big party. Also if you're a mask person maybe don't visit this place none of the staff were wearing mask (didn't bother me but I know people can be concerned by that). This is another one of Houston's best kept secrets, a locals type place. Dont be put off by the exterior, there is plenty of parking also. We went on a Sunday around noon to find it moderately busy. Inside they have a large wraparound bar with plenty of seating and TVs to enjoy, also a traditional dining area with tables and booths. Once seated we were immediately served with menu's and drinks. The menu is fairly large ranging from appetizers, sandwiches salads pizzas, pastas, chicken, veal and fish they also have house specialty which includes pork chops, lasagna, shrimp and scallops. Tyler was our server and did an amazing job. We started off with the potato skins and fried ravioli they were both delicious and good size portions, for my entree I chose a small garden salad and the chicken with spinach calzone. The calzone was incredibly large and could have easily been split with another person, If you have a sweet tooth they also offer several desserts Definitely very good food at a reasonable price, for what this place lacks in ambiance it makes up for with the quality of the meals. do yourself a favor stop in at least once to give this place a try, if you like Italian food you won't be disappointed. read more

This review is based upon ordering dinner to go and having it delivered. I am always on the look out for what place is going to be my favorite Italian eatery in Houston (without paying an arm and a leg for pasta) and was very excited to try this place. I sampled the Grilled Chicken Chipotle and Cheese Tortellini. Both were good and served with a side of breadsticks. I think I need to eat at the actual restaurant to get a full impression of the food since, with delivery, everything was a little cold and congealed. However, even then, both dishes had great flavor. The first time I went here the food was really good but the problem I had was that your salad and your pasta literally comes out at the same time. I thought this was only due to the restaurant being not busy. However the second time I came back they did the same exact thing they gave me my side salad then before I could even take the first bite they were bringing my pasta. So I said that is pretty ridiculous because as you eat the salad your pasta is going to be entirely cold before you can eat it. So I had them hold it and I guess the server did not like this. After finishing my solid this over then proceeded to never come back to my table and continue serving every other people besides mine. ( this lasted about 20 minutes as my friend had enough time to drive from Memorial City Mall to this particular location) A different server had to point me out for him to stop by again. He then asks if I'm ready for my pasta now. I didn't not even want to stay so I asked for the pasta and a to-go box. As he returns with the pasta the bowl is ice cold and there is absolutely no steam coming from the pasta. That means that instead of even trying to keep it warm under the heat lamp they basically left it sitting out the entire time. I'm sure they are no where near as good. Best low carb meal here is the blow carb plate with neither sauteed spinach or veggies. I always get the spinach. For a couple dollars more They will add a second chicken breast to the plate if you're really hungry. Chicken is grilled perfectly, drizzled with garlic and olive oil and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. The spinach is sauteed with garlic and butter and is top notch. Their Italian nachos, not low carb, are pretty good too. Feel free to get the half order unless a lot of people are eating because they are a huge appetizer. The bread sticks are not and fresh out of the oven. Everyone at the table will love them and they are also dusted with parmesan cheese. Full bar with great bartender too and Tv's to watch sports or anything else. Great neighborhood join with fair prices. First time here and can't say I would return. It's a nice little restaurant but the food wasn't what I expected. I ordered the Pasta Man Special (crab cake orzo dish). I wasn't terrible but can't say I loved it. For $18 I better love it. The crab cake was mostly breading not enough crab. The grilled chicken breast was good. My daughter got the chicken Alfredo... my Alfredo at home is way better. Kinda sucks that I didn't like it because prices are reasonable. read more

Great pasta creations! Bowtie & sun dried tomato with chicken, pesto with shrimp, and fantastic pizza! Their salads are always fresh. I love the house salad with feta, tomato, onions, and black olives! Warm garlicky Breadsticks are standard. We've tried tons of things on the menu and they're all good! The Italian nacho appetizer is super unique, if you want something different...and the full size is HUGE! Portions are very large, so be prepared. My two favorites are the tilapia over angel hair pasta with crawfish, crab?, and shrimp on top! It's a lot and I often split it. I also love the "slice" of pizza and salad combo. The slice is more like a small pizza! The meat one is my favorite! (I forget the name. Good, Bad, and Ugly???) And frozen bellinis on a sunny afternoon are always tasty! They have a full bar, too!
