Amazing massage with John! A true 5 star massage experience with his attention to detail from the beautiful space he created to the amenities included in the service. Will be back for another massage soon :) read more

THE BEST!!! CLEAN,PROFESSIONAL, AND HIGHLY SKILLED !!! A fantastic therapeutic experience and perfect couples massage setting.

Don't let the office building environment fool you. Inside the massage room at Space Massage is a sanctuary. Soft music. Dim lighting and candles. Warm towels. Yummy smelling oil. And last but not least, the massage! John is amazing. He asked me at the beginning of the session what I thought made a great massage and I really was at a loss. It's just a certain quality and whatever that quality is, this place has it. John's strokes are confident, assured and strong. He didn't interrupt my massage at all with any conversation, it was just peaceful and quiet. I felt utterly relaxed and I really did not want to leave. This will be my go to place in Phoenix. read more

Best. Massage. Ever. I felt restored after my massage and John really customizes the massage to your needs. I have had massages that were predictable and by the book. This is not the case here. Massages at Space are truly eclectic and he draws from a wide variety of styles e.g. Thai, deep tissues, etc. The ambience of the massage room is very serene and the music selection is soothing but not dull. Will definitely be coming back! read more

This place is great and John really knows what he is doing. I am so excited, I was able to go to the gym and do certain workouts that hurt prior to my massage! I have gone to atleast 3 different massage therapists over the past year and not one was able to alleviate the pain I was having! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, I would highly recommend Space Massage Studio. read more

Incredible place. My husband and I did a couples massage and both of us can honestly say we have never had a better massage! The owner John is incredible and so devoted to his craft. The space is lovely and it is clear from the moment you enter that you are going to have a very special experience! Prices are just right too! My recommendation-leave your masseuse a big tip!! They surely earn it. read more

Visited with John today, largely due to the excellent Yelp reviews. He is as advertised... Great massage and John took great care to learn about what I needed and tailored his work to meet my therapeutic needs. read more

Therapeutic, relaxing, personal attention. Not your hotel "spa" experience but more skillful application of the hands to achieve the results not the assembly line approach. Highly recommended! read more

Deep massage was lovely. I appreciated the use of heated towels on my back while he was working other areas. All in all I feel very relaxed and am very happy with my service. Its hard to find good massages and I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I'm in town. The parking lot is behind the building. The neighborhood made me a bit nervous but I think it's just because I'm not from here. Came mid day and it was fine. read more

I recently had another outstanding therapeutic massage at Space Massage Studio. This time, I received a detailed deep tissue massage with Stacey Roper, who uniquely determined the best protocol for stretching out my very intense shoulder pain through muscle work and myofascial release. Her massage work was nuanced and careful, providing incredible relief by increasing my flexibility. This warm inviting massage studio continues to impress! read more

I've had two massages at Space and both were excellent. The first was with John who was friendly, knowledgable and was an excellent massage therapist. This week I had a couples massage which was relaxing and wonderful. I had John again and my partner had Stacy and said that Stacy did a great job. We both left relaxed and rejuvenated and both intend to come back again soon. I highly recommend Space Massage Studio. read more

The studio is so peaceful and cute! Everything was so clean and it felt so wholesome. Hailey was my massage therapist and I got the prenatal massage and it was one of the best massages I've ever had! I was able to lay on my stomach with the use of their special holster. Everything was so relaxing and exactly what I needed. read more

WOW,WOW,WOW...John is amazing! He knows how to treat his customers, his prices are very reasonable, he takes the time to get to know you first and find out what your expectations are. He has a very calming personality that just relaxes you before he even starts the massage. What makes John so good at what he does is the fact that he has training in several types of massage techniques. You will not be disappointed. I wish I lived close by, I would see him on a regular basis. I am in town visiting from Georgia. I am a high level cyclist with back and neck issues. He claims not to be a miracle worker, but I think a few more visits to him and I would feel like new again. While waiting for my ride home I got to enjoy the koi pond that is centrally located in the business park too. Very Zen. read more

John was absolutely amazing. He got me in super last minute (as in, the morning of) He was nothing but kind, courteous, and very focused on what I expected/needed out of the massage. I went ahead and did the 90 minute massage for my first time and it was not a mistake. I will continue to go to John once a month as long as I am in Phoenix!! The room completely relaxed me and I felt as if all my problems were left at the door. He recommended I start practicing yoga and it has changed my life. He changed my "life zen" in just one visit. I thought it was insane someone could receive 5 stars on Yelp with so many reviews... But it all makes sense! Totally worth the money plus some. Thank you John for fixing my problems all over my body and mentally! read more

I originally saw John a couple years ago and posted a review then. I feel guilty as I've been busy and haven't been back to see him until today. Long overdue. I've recommended John to quite a few friends and everyone has had an exceptional experience. I went back today for a hot stone massage and, to no surprise, it was outstanding. Everything about the experience was top notch. The decor and aesthetic of John's studio is tasteful and automatically puts you in a relaxed state of mind. John himself is a very calming person who asks relevant questions and tailors his treatment based on the answers you give him. Here it is 3 hours after my treatment and I feel amazing. On top of excellent service and treatment, as read in my previous review, John's an insightful, very sincere person who is genuinely one of the good people out there and those are hard to find! read more

Absolutely fantastic massage! Not your run of the mill massage at all, I truly felt better after leaving and it wasn't just a state of relaxation. I felt like doing yoga and moving around and taking care of my body a bit better than I had been doing before. read more

Stacey from Space Massage Studio was AMAZING! I got a 90 minute deep tissue massage from her the other day. I was visiting Scottsdale from Wahsington, DC and wanted to end my trip with something relaxing. She knew exactly where my body needed the most attention (although my body definitely need 5 more hours) but she was very attentive and caring. She was able to get a lot of knots out but there was much buildup from years. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Stacey!!! read more

I've been coming here once a month throughout my pregnancy. Highly recommend John! He is great for prenatal massages. Space is very serene and relaxing, and prices are great. read more

It doesn't get much better than John at Space! Each time I go to see him he will thoughtfully chat with me for a bit to see where I'm at mentally, what I'd like to achieve with my massage, what changes have happened to my body, my workout, my stress level, etc... He will perfectly cater the massage based on what he learns. I recommend him to as many people as I can, and now I'd like to do so on yelp as well! read more

John is a very talented masseuse. I have never felt so pleased and relaxed walking out of a place. "Space" is a beautiful environment and you will absolutely love what he does here. I highly recommend this place. What a beautiful body artist. read more

Tripped over a cord and fell. Twisted my neck and back. Luckily, had an appointment with John that evening. John worked wonders! John always takes time to listen to your concerns and address them. He's the best massage therapist I've ever gone to! read more

I had a wonderful holiday surprise and received a gift massage from Marna. ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!! I have had many massages in the past and by far, she exceeds expectations with her ability to address areas of concern and provide relaxation at the same time. Space Studio is so beautiful and Marna's technique makes it all the better. I would highly recommend you book an appointment with her. You will not be disappointed!! read more

This is by far the best massage I have ever had and I have a fair amount of massages. Corey was a perfect masseuse. I booked an appointment less than 12 hrs after a flight from NY to PHX with the usual travel pains and left feeling like a brand new person. The knots were tended to and the pressure was perfect with Corey checking in frequently during my 60 min sports massage. The spa is a serene oasis. Do not hesitate to book here, you won't be disappointed! read more

A friend who runs a lot suggested I look up John's studio when I was in a bunch of pain training for my first Ragnar Relay. I echo everything said here by the other yelpers...not only did John take time to ask me about my physical activity levels and inquire as to what I was hoping to gain from the massage, he made several polite suggestions on ways to improve my quality of life once our hour was up. I used to have a monthly membership to a local spa and John said he is in the process of establishing a similar program at SPACE. As soon as that happens I am signing up! Definitely worth the money and I can't wait to go back. read more

This was the first massage I've ever had. A little about me, I'm naturally nervous and do not feel comfortable around strangers; and I definitely don't want them to touch me. Today was different though. I spent the previous night, in so much pain, that I was never able to fall asleep. My lower back was pinched, and my neck and shoulders were extremely tight. I was not going to be able to make it through the day on no sleep, and in this much pain. Thank god I found John on yelp and was able to book an appointment the same day. My desperate search for relief from the pain lead me to Space Massage Studio. Because I was so nervous, I almost didn't make the appointment. After reading so many positive reviews, I felt confident enough in my decision to trust John with my relief. John is a very kind, and calm individual. He took the time before the massage to help me feel comfortable. He was very interested in creating a space for me to relax as much as possible; so that I could get relief from the pain. The experience was wonderful! I started off super tense and unable to calm my mind. By the end of the 60 minute massage I felt rejuvenated, at peace, and John had worked out so much of the tension that I was able to fall asleep. I walked in nervous, and left wishing the massage didn't have to end. I told my husband this is the only place I will ever go if he wants to book a massage for me in the future. I even told my mom about it and I plan to bring her here next time she comes to visit me. The spa is absolutely beautiful; he uses hot towels, aroma therapy, candles, calming music, all at a fantastic price. Thank you Thank you Thank you!! I will most definitely be back. read more

John is the most amazing massage therapist I've ever had. Hands down. I am very active and lift 5-6 times a week, and I visited John 2x a month when I was training hard for a fitness show. Seeing him was essential for my recovery and well being and was equally as essential as completing any of my workouts! I've never had a more relaxing massage or unique experience. John incorporates your needs into the massage sessions, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated/refreshed and never in pain. I have since moved, but every time I come back to Phoenix, I make an appointment with John! He's my man! Visit space massage studio...you'll become addicted! THE BEST!!! read more

Started off good, I will say the owner Jon is very great and helpful with booking the appointment. He scheduled me with a lady named Rebecca. DO NOT see her. As soon as I walked in, she was extremely unprofessional. She was sitting back in a chair and said "hold on, I'm playing candy crush." Coming from a Spa from Biltmore, I would never expect to be treated like this. She put me in the room, left the balcony door open, and constantly kept talking to me. Not relaxing at all. Said she has been doing this for 15 years total but did not seem professional at all. I told her I wanted to focus on my back and that's it. She pressed so hard on my neck and shoulders that I'm still in pain. When I was done, I noticed she only gave me a 60 minute massage not 90. I was going to say something to her but honestly, I just wanted to get out. It has been 2 weeks since this has happened. I wanted to give it some time to see if it's just because I got a deep tissue but I shouldn't still be in pain. My whole right side of my neck and my back is killing me along with having constant headaches. I really wish I was placed with Jon or someone with great reviews especially with it being my first time instead of someone that just started to work there. read more

Being it was my first time, I was little uncomfortable but John made me feel relaxed, he took his time with the hot stone massage. The warmth of the stones relaxed my back like I never felt. Booked my first massage with Stacey for earlier this week. The building is pretty nondescript, but once you go inside it's styled in a really inviting and relaxing way. Stacey was great, friendly and professional. The massage was wonderful, one of the better ones I've had. I left feeling like I was able to move and stretch more freely than before. I will definitely be back for more. read more

I have been seeing john for some time now and always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed! He is very attentive to whatever needs the most work, which for me is usually my back and shoulders since I am a hairstylist. I love that along with the relaxing massage he also kind of stretches me out during the massage which for me is huge. After the massage we always sit down and review the appointment and he is constantly reminding me of how important posture is and different things I can do to avoid having my same issues come back to me. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone! (Super excited to check out the new location as well!) read more

Loooooooved our experience here. I got the 90 minute signature massage and my partner got the 90 minute deep tissue massage. The massages were excellent and the massage therapists were truly amazing. Additionally, the space is very thoughtfully designed and I love the fact that it's a shoe-free space. Met the owner very briefly, who was extremely pleasant. If I lived in Phoenix I would come here every week! read more
