I typically go to Space Massage Studio's other location, so I was excited to try out their new spot the other day! Trent was an INCREDIBLE masseuse and apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so; as I was coming in, another customer was raving about his skills to the woman working the front desk. Like the other massage location, the Midtown space is in an older brick building along with various other offices; I prefer the Arcadia location mainly because the bathrooms are external and shared with other companies instead of in the spa itself (much more pleasant in Arcadia), although that's such a minor thing! Otherwise, the setups are very similar, with comfortable massage tables and gorgeously decorated rooms. I'll definitely be back! I used to try multiple different massage studios in Phoenix, but now I'm a Space loyalist. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that my booking request was responded to immediately, and I was able to book my appointment for the next morning. He attentively listened to my concerns, what I was looking for, and assured me I was in the right place. I received a 90 minute massage. He integrated stretching into my massage, as I had requested, along with his presence - so often I feel that body work is being done "to" me instead of in rhythm with my body. John was highly skilled at attuning to my needs and asking in-depth questions to approach the massage from a holistic perspective. I got a 60 minute massage here and it was amazing!! It was definitely expensive but they targeted all the problem areas thoroughly. She used hot oil and did a combination of firm pressure and stretching. I have had bad massage experiences in the past, but the masseuses here made me feel really comfortable. The overall vibe of the place was calming with soft music, plants and fresh scents. I want to come back but would appreciate lower prices for sure. read more

I booked a massage at Space Massage for a birthday treat - an excellent decision. After researching various studios in Phoenix I chose Space Massage due to the combination of positive online reviews and competitive pricing. I was also able to take advantage of a discount through Yelp. Scheduling was incredibly easy and communication from the studio was excellent. In between scheduling and the appointment Space Massage opened a second location, and I was contacted to see whether I wanted to keep my appointment at the original location with a different therapist, or change to the new location with my original therapist. Amaranta and Vanessa are both excellent massage therapists - they ensure to take the time to read the intake questionnaire, and ask about pressure preferences and specific areas that need extra attention. From beginning to end I felt comfortable and cared for, and the massage was truly excellent. Unlike some studios where the actual massage time is 50 minutes rather than a full hour, Space Massage massages last the entire 60 minutes. Pricing is reasonable, and with the Yelp deal it's even more affordable. I absolutely recommend Space Massage for what your body needs. read more

Everyone was friendly and professional and our therapists, Megan and Paige were excellent. They asked if we had any problem areas and I told Megan my shoulders. I was able to book a massage on short notice here (probably because it's a newer location) and was paired up with Megan. She spent a full hour (not 45 or 50 minutes) doing some very professional bodywork and stretching, finding my problem areas easily and adjusting her pressure accordingly. Really one of the best therapeutic massages I've ever had and I have already booked my follow-up. Don't be fooled by the small framed woman you'll meet - she has some powerful hands! The entry sequence is a little unusual (you walk through a small office building) but once you are in the suite it feels like a regular little day spa. Parking was easy and front desk staff was extremely easy to work with. All in all I could not have asked for a better experience. read more
