An excellent experience! I thoroughly enjoyed my facial/massage combo given by Holly and Kiera on June 14, 2023. Deep tissue massage is offered by only a few but I found a powerhouse within Holly, a petite lady! She asked about my concerns, listened well and paid special attention to my inner shoulder issues. Holly didn't just ask once or twice but checked with me throughout the hour, if I needed more or less pressure throughout the treatment. Out of my last seven deep tissue massages at other spas, Holly provided the best one!! Kiera, one of the owners provided a glowing signature facial. She explained what steps she was planning to do and offered different products I could select from. A dimmed light room and tranquil music added to the enjoyment of my facial. Came to Sonoran Serenity Spa for a couples massage + mini facial with my wife. Sarah was my LMT/LE. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Before beginning she asked about level of pressure, any problem areas, and parts to avoid (my feet are TICKLISH). The massage was AMAZING! It was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep and started Sonoran :D The mini facial was GREAT! It started with steam and a hot towel, some liquids were massaged onto my face/neck, ended with a mask and scalp massage. When she finished I looked 18 again! Jk Asian don't raisin. This post is long overdue. My service was back in July for a couples massage and facial. I'll start with the good. The front desk girl was awesome. Super friendly and nice. Great experience with her. The masseuse? Completely different story. I'm shocked to see the amazing reviews and picked this place due to that. The service started with the massage and I specifically chose the more expensive option bc I really wanted the head massage. SHE SPOKE THE ENTIRETY OF THE MASSAGE. I have never in my life had a massage like this. Now I recognize I should've told her I wanted silence but is that something that needs to be said??? I need to advocate for myself better but good god. Also didn't get the head massage. She did a foot massage instead. Why? I have no clue. On to the facial. I asked her to do extractions if she saw fit but I would assume that as a specialist, you know which pimples should be touched or left alone. I also need to mention that I have a deeper complexion that scars VERY easily. Also something I would expect my experienced specialist to know if you've worked with different skin tones. I told her we had dinner plans and she hacked at my face in places I didn't even know I needed extractions to the point that I now have permanent hyperpigmentation scars. My service was in July and it's now October and the scars are still there. Never had any scars on my left cheek but I do now. She legit made my skin worse. I didn't know that was possible. I even told her my wedding was coming up and they never faded. I can't believe I paid a full tip for such an awful service. Our bill was a whopping $500 with a $100 tip. I will never come back. I can't remember my specialists name other than personal facts about herself that she mentioned. She had great reviews here but I'm flabbergasted as to how I had a completely different experience than others. read more

I had booked my girlfriend a massage for 90 minutes as a birthday gift as she's been wanting to visit your center for a while now and was extremely excited. Unfortunately, it was cut short due to the masseuse not feeling well and was not as enjoyable as her previous experiences. While I understand that we can't perform to the best of our abilities while being under the weather, I feel that it would've been more professional to politely ask to reschedule so the client gets the best and full experience. Came across this spa for my husband's birthday and glad it didn't disappoint. Called in to make an appointment for a couples massage and facial. Filled out some forms online-most of the questions asked about yourself, skin care, last massage, etc. Upon arrival, we checked in and were brought back to the room where we enjoyed some warmed massage tables-a first we've experienced, however I had to turn my side off because I get hot easily. The massage was great! She was able to focus on my targeted areas and overall body. I fell asleep during the head massage. After an hour, we were sent to different rooms to finish up our facials. I enjoyed that the most. Depending on your facial needs, I noticed they took into consideration because my husband and I got somewhat different spa treatments which was nice. I got a cold serum face gel with an addition of what felt like ice balls around my face. The cooling affect helped with my rosacea. After the massage and facial, I felt so relaxed. This is a boutique massage experience and they've thought of every detail. A few favorite parts - -I always see Davina. She is incredibly intuitive and always listens to my asks/wants. My call to the receptionist was great. She gave me a lot of options, asked good questions, and was able to quickly and confidently make suggestions I was ultimately set happy with. My masseuse was awesome. He made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything really well upfront and during the massage, so I would know what to expect and I was actually able to just fully relax. He was friendly but not unnecessarily chatty. I was having limited mobility in my neck but felt much better and had nearly full mobility when I left. He worked heavily on problem areas and inquired multiple times about pressure and comfortability level. Davina is one of the owners and was my therapist for both my massage and my facial. She was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about product and technique. I was so comfortable and impressed with her. I have to say, after my treatments, this was the best experience I've ever had! It wasn't pain. As mentioned, the massage was too rough even though the description said it was relaxing. I don't think she has to communicate that a "relaxing" massage shouldn't be rough. I think the therapists should know that. Also, she didn't feel the need to communicate that she was rushed because the therapist said "take your time" but I guess 5 minutes was too much time because the therapist walked back in. She felt intimidated to speak because nobody would even try to communicate with her (she understands English, she just doesn't speak it fluently). That sit down to talk about needs would have been helpful. I think if she felt welcomed and was treated with kindness, she would have been comfortable expressing. Kindness can be felt even with a language barrier. read more

I had the same experience as Tee a few months ago. Massage with Holly was one of the worst I've ever had. I responded to their internal review request and since it went ignored, I'm going public because i don't want anyone else wasting their money. I took the time to fill out their very lengthy questionnaire and release form and she thanked me for spelling out my needs but she didn't even touch my trouble spots! We agreed on all upper body. She didn't touch my back, did some neck and a little deltoid work but said deeper tissue would cost me. (Never had that before.) spent too much time on my arms. I was face down in the cradle for a full hour when I already said I have facial tightness (and TMJ), and wanted that worked on. She never touched it and my face was made more uncomfortable. It was a frustrating experience, especially when I paid for a full hour plus cranial sacral therapy, and felt achy afterward - not relaxed at all. So glad I had a $100 credit but still not worth $70. read more
