I booked a 60 minute basic full-body massage and was so happy with how it went! Maria G was my massage therapist and she made my back pain disappear. She constantly checked in to make sure the pressure was okay. It was very relaxing and she made me feel comfortable. She used some warm towels, which were nice. My only complaint would be the booking system, my partner tried to book the massage for me but had some trouble. Eventually I called and they were happy to help and confirmed my booking. April, at the reception desk, was exceptionally classy and kind. I've tried several of the day spa locations in Phoenix, and this is my favorite. I've been here twice, once for a deep tissue massage with Susan and most recently for a 90 minute signature massage with the owner, John Hill. The Space staff definitely (and rightly) takes pride in their set-up. Each time, the massage was uniquely tailored to my needs; most recently, I mentioned that I'm on my feet all day and my therapist added on a foot focus at the end that was literally perfect. The physical set-up is also a lot more relaxing than most day spas, with calming music, gently lit rooms, and heated tables and pressure draping; the rooms rival the rooms of some of the hotel-based spas where I've received treatments. Prices are also very reasonable, and they run new client specials and Black Friday deals occasionally. Can't wait until my next visit! read more

The best massage spot ever. They have great massage therapists who are very attentive to your individual concerns. I have a unique birth injury in my shoulder which a lot of massage therapists are too nervous to work on, but every massage therapist I had here knew exactly what to do. My favorite here is Rebecca. Also I love the attention to detail - for example, they wipe your feet with a hotel towel before massaging your feet. Why doesn't every place do that!? As someone with very tight shoulders and neck issues I came to John with a lot of stress manifested in my body. He listened to my concerned and explained to me the cause of tension. Horrible experience. I haven't been able to sleep and I booked a last minute massage with gabby and I explained that I just had surgery and to not touch me on my sides/hips. Well she did so anyways and extremely rough. It just so bad I told her in the room and all she said was "Sorry I forgot." $115 Massage + $15 wasted. Everyone I met was very nice, but busy and rushed. I'm sure they have good therapists there but mine was not. I just booked whoever was available. I don't remember her name. She felt very inexperienced like she was putting lotion on each area. I asked for aromatherapy because I wanted something special for my birthday. The receptionist (girl on a laptop in the waiting area) gave me 4 empty bottles to choose a smell from after telling me to smell from the sealed closed bottles in the display cabinet. Then broke down and said she didn't know how it worked. There were noisy air filter machines in all the rooms to I think, ironically disguise the noise and the air intakes were full of grime. Nicely decorated, but unfortunately while being massaged, your eyes are usually closed. read more

We brought this to the attention of the spa management immediately, but their response was dismissive and lacked any semblance of accountability. This isn't a simple case of a lost item, it was taken from him under their care. We are left feeling utterly disrespected and victimized. I strongly urge others to avoid this spa if you value the safety of your personal belongings. You honestly wouldn't know it was there if you were just passing by. Inside, the studio is serene and inviting with calming sounds of ocean waves playing in the background. The massage room is one of the nicest I've seen with a beautiful mirror and other subtle touches. My massage therapist was Brianna, who discussed what To focus on in the massage beforehand. She also made sure to apply just the right amount of pressure. The massage and experience at this studio was very relaxing. I will start off by saying I will definitely be a regular client after my experience today! I scheduled a 90 min massage, because if you've ever had 90 mins, you seriously can't go back to 60 mins. Honestly, I didn't love the whole scheduling process, but I really feel like the universe knew exactly what I needed and truly came through for me!! Ashley texted me to see if I could adjust the time slightly and if I had any concerns or specifics that needed to be addressed. I wasn't super specific but she still responded by letting me know she thought John would be the best fit for me and asked if I could come a bit earlier to make that happen. I'm so glad I went with it! I love a good massage, and appreciate a good massage....I get them on a somewhat regular basis and have had some trouble here and there finding a great masseuse but have also had some really great ones... John gave me the absolute best massage I've ever had today! And I don't say that lightly!! You can tell he has his whole heart and all of his energy in his practice! He took the time at the beginning of the appointment to ask if I had any areas bothering me and what my goals were. I'm not the best with articulating what I need and wasn't really specific. He is very intuitive and really knows how to read your energy to connect and give you an individualized massage based on what he actually feels in your body's responses during the massage. After many calls and messages to several places, John called back to tell me they had openings for both of us at the same time! I can't speak to the massages but I'm sure they are good given all the reviews but I was disappointed with the scheduling process. My appointment that I tried to schedule online was not confirmed due to being a new client. They called me a few hours later and left a voicemail stating they needed to ask me a couple Qs before they could confirm. I'm usually busy with family/errands in the evenings so I could not answer or call them back that same evening. I decided to call back the next day in the morning when I had a quick break from work. Well, my appointment slot was no longer available. I have a pretty busy work schedule so I chose that time slot with a certain therapist for a reason. I was offered other times with other therapists but told them I would need to look at my schedule. The only things they needed to tell me which held up my appointment from being confirmed was that I needed to arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out paperwork which is pretty standard for most places and to tell me about their 4 hour cancellation policy which is stated very clearly on their website. That was it. That is what kept my appointment from being confirmed and made me lose my time slot that I wanted. I don't think those are good reasons to not confirm an appointment and make someone lose a time slot they wanted especially since they had my credit card on file and the cancellation policy is clearly stated on the website. They could also add a statement on their website about new clients arriving 5-10 minutes early which I was already going to do since most places make you do that. Booking the appointments was easy on the Mind Body app and the confirmation call was pleasant & welcoming. The studio itself is very calming, I felt very comfortable there. They are taking COVID precautions seriously; wearing masks, limited interaction with others; hand sanitizer available, and air purifiers in each room. Both massage therapists that I booked (Corey and Delilah) were professional, friendly and listened to me. I went with a deep tissue massage both times and they do not disappoint.
