To preface this review, I get a massage about every 3 weeks. Pros: COST. I did the 45 minute body massage and 15 minute foot massage. Not only did she use every minute of that, she even gave me an additional 7 minutes. This included the use of hot stones for FREE. I'm not quite sure how to describe the actual massage because it was amazing, but it was just different than anyone I've ever had. Her pressure was spot on, but movements, muscles worked, etc were just a different technique. LOVED it, but again, it's just different. I'd come here after a round of golf, or hike, or if I have some major soreness that needs to be worked out. Also, they allowed me to just walk right in. Cons: This isn't your typical spa scene. They've done with it what they can to make it look comfortable and inviting, but is still a little sterile. The beds are not as plush as other salons I've been to. Also, they don't have privacy rooms per se. They are curtains that shield you from them passing by, but they will talk to each other while giving the massage. Not a lot, but it's distracting and you can hear others coming and going. They do charge a $2 fee for credit cards. Overall, I'll 100% be back when I'm not looking for a whole ambiance vibe. But also, their prices justify that regardless. read more

I came for a massage after coming out of the hospital. The owner was very concerned and said that most of the time, a person should not get deep tissue or TCM massage until after 3 months. He conceded that it was beneficial to just use light touch and suggested a slathering of CBD cream all over. They were spot on! read more

I have been here before and yesterday was the last day I will go. They keep changing prices and i didnt realize their prices went up $10. They didnt even finish the full massage and I paid $80. Then they insisted that I tip, and gave me a hard time about not having money for a 20% tip. I got money from my girlfriend just to shut the lady up and i left. Never again. I called at the last minute and managed to book a full-body massage for myself and a few friends celebrating a bachelorette party. I chose a deep tissue massage and liked the pressure. The only downside was that the massage therapist didn't work on my arms, and the other ladies had the same experience. We all felt a bit rushed, but aside from that, it was a good experience. read more

After a long and tough hike on Camelback Mountain today, a few of us spontaneously found and came in for some services here. Amazing! There was only enough time for a quick foot massage but wish I could have gotten a neck/shoulder massage too! Really enjoyed the heated bed and comfy blanket too, in addition to the hot stones they used. If I lived in the area I would totally get the membership and come often. Great reflexology foot massage, nice facility and therapists. If you're looking for a luxury spa day ambiance, this isn't for you. But if you want a good solid massage with a simple, clean calming environment that leaves your muscles feeling refreshed, this place is great. read more

I scheduled an appointment same day which was nice. I scheduled for a 1 hour massage. When I arrived a women poked her head through the blinds and told me to take a seat. A few minutes later a gentlemen asked me how long massage I want and I told him the 60 minutes foot massage. He looked at me confused and ran to the back without saying anything. He then brings the lady who greeted me to the front and she asked how long I wanted. So I repeated 60 minute foot massage and pointed to the window that had it in big letters that took up the whole front window. She then said that they don't do that any more. Then continue to up sell me which wasn't very relaxing. I understand if they need to raise prices with less customers but they need to update their marketing and should not wait until the customer is about to get a massage to tell them that it's a higher price. Since That day was one of the few days off, I ended up getting the massage since I waiting all day for it. It took a while for the bucket of water to place my feet in to arrive but over all it was decent. I probably won't be returning though. I'm from LA and they have foot massages everywhere so I may just have high expectations but i hope to find some good ones out here read more

Jason at Just Relax, Scottsdale Rd. & Thomas, Scottsdale, AZ, is hands down one of the best Masseuse I have ever had. As an avid traveler and lover of massages, I can say that I'm pretty much an expert at reviewing massages. I've been to some of the best Spas in Scottsdale, high-end resort spas, as well as masseuses in Europe where I've had incredible massages. So when I say that a strip-mall, Thai massage place has one of the best masseuses that I have ever been to that says a lot. In fact I've been using only Jason that without hesitation I purchased 12 months of a 90 min, deep tissue massage upfront. He has never altered the way he massages me, nor cut the time short leaving me laying on the table a wet, motionless noodle as if wrapped in a cocoon. I might pay extra just so they can let me take a long nap after! I know there is little reason to trust someone you don't know leaving a review, but when I say that Jason may very well be one of the greatest masseuses in the Valley, surpassing all the other masseuses I've had in my travels, it would be worth seeing for yourself. A friend of mine had been talking about how she gets foot reflexology done every few weeks. I decided to give it a try. I was planning on only an hour foot massage, but they had a deal too good to pass up. $42 for a 20 minute chair massage and 45 minute for massage. Only a few bucks more than what I had planned on paying. The establishment is clean and the ladies are friendly. I was so relaxed during the foot massage that I feel asleep. We made an appointment since it was a Saturday (highly recommend). We had planned on only doing the 45 minute reflexology but they recommended the daily special, double the time and only a few more dollars. Daily special is $50 for 90 minutes. Definitely a great price for all of the services you receive. Overall, it was very relaxing. You remove your shoes and pull up your pants to above the knees. They have you remove your jacket, hats, etc. Blankets are provided if you worry you'll get cold. They do cover your eyes with a clothe. They start (after asking permission) with doing some pressure points on your face. Move down to neck and then arms. After that they spend a good amount of time on your feet. My husband had a different experience (I think better), his foot massage involved more reflexology than mine. There is a short hot rock massage at the end of the foot massage portion. They ask you to roll over (they adjust the chair) and then do an over the clothes massage. This includes pressure point (like almost pushing)over your whole body, including your butt, lower legs, etc. I wasn't expecting it so just thought I'd mention it. The store is mostly quiet. They have open rooms of 2 chairs each. Depending on how far back you go you will see others getting their treatment. There is an odd smell that others have mentioned. Not sure what it is. We will go back, maybe just for the reflexology foot massage since I felt like I missed out on that with the daily special. read more

I've been a weekly customer for the last 3 years. The massages have always been fantastic. There's always a slight struggle with calmness as there is always some noise that makes it a struggle to really relax. I am able to overlook that because they do such a great job with the massage. But... today was horrible. About a quarter way through my massage I could feel that I was being rushed. As soon as my feet were over, I was told to change chairs and was taken way way in the back on a table to finish my massage. It was not pleasant. I've never once been moved. The table was suspicious and I wasn't sure if it would hold me up. It was frequently interrupted by someone talking to my masseuse or walking by into the break room. I usually tip 50-70% but today was something else. read more

I would give it a 2, but my husband received a good massage and service. We purchased the 65 minute for $42. I had an older gentleman that understood zero English. So when I asked him to stop massaging my feet or I needed more pressure he had no idea what I was asking for. I couldn't feel a thing, and if it weren't for my husband enjoying his next to me, I wanted to just leave. The owner offered a few dollars off then ended up charging us full price anyways. If you're seeking a super professional and relaxing massage experience, keep searching; this is not what you're looking for. However, if it's Sunday evening and you decide you want to take a group of four for foot massages, this place may be able to accommodate your group. At least they did for mine within an hour's notice last night! Beware... the building is wide open and any talking can be heard by anyone inside. Keep any chatter to a whisper if possible and make sure your phone is on silent or vibrate when you walk in. That being said, the Just Relax employees have no problem chit chatting amongst themselves while giving massages. We all went for the 30/30 option - 30 minutes of chair massage and 30 minutes of foot massage. The experience begins with a foot soak. I must have lucked out because my massage was actually decent, especially once I tuned out the chatter and tried not to focus on the random times when my therapist was distracted, walked away for a minute, etc... The others in my group? Not so pleased. Well, my husband said his was decent. My brother and sister said that their experiences were pretty awful all around. Keep your expectations low and you may be pleasantly surprised. Then again, if your odds are consistent with the way our's were last night, the chance of having a decent experience is around 50%. Just Relax = Just what I needed / wanted... I was totally jonesing for some reflexology, but didn't want to spend a small fortune either without driving to a familiar place down in the East Valley. Enter Yelp.... gosh, I love this website! So I just typed in reflexology... and found a place close by in Scottsdale - - Just Relax. I called on a late Sunday afternoon, and bonus #1 - they were open til 9pm. So I made an appointment for approx 45 minutes later. Nice.... First of all only $30 for an hour... that's awesome! Or $22 for 45 minutes - - that's pretty darn low as well. When I entered, I was greeted with a friendly welcome. I was a little bit early for my appt, but they were actually all ready and available for me. Cool... This location is very clean, and nice simple decor. (Definitely nicer than other reflexology places I've been to.) They even had a cold bottle of water waiting for me in the room. John was my masseuse. He was a "Foot Angel from China". Loved him... I was blissfully pampered for the next 60 min. My feet were soaking in a small wood tub, while he massage my scalp, arms, neck, and shoulders. Awesome.... Then after about 15min, on to the feet. The foot part was awesome... my feet/heels are pretty jacked right now from wearing flip flops all the time. So they were very happy to get some work done. Typical instrumental / relaxing music playing. Kinda a bit on the loud side - - but I actually liked it, helped me to "relax". Great experience! I'll be back for sure! When it came time for paying, i was totally stoked that my HSA card worked. Nice.... I had a great 45 min foot massage from Yo-Yo (that's what she wrote down as her name). The "just foot massage" included a head/neck/arm massage as well, for $25. I expected to actually get a back massage as well, as every other reflexology place I've been to (and there have been a ton) includes a full body massage, even when you indicate "feet only". It was really good and relaxing, the masseuse asked me about pressure, and I was never in any pain or discomfort ( a big deal, bc I think most of these reflexology/massage places can be pretty heavy handed, and I flinch at least a few times). I will say 45 min isn't enough! I was really relaxed (like boneless jelly relaxed) and almost asleep when she finished; a huge feat for a mama with two kiddos under two! Interestingly, I generally tip at least 20% for massage/spa services, and handed her $30.... And she didn't even offer me change; fine as I wasn't looking for it, just poor manners. read more

I struggle with constantly painful neck and shoulders due to herniated discs. I was in Scottsdale for a week and desperate for relief so I decided to pop in here. Thank God!! There was a gentleman named Kevin did my massage..OMGEEEE...!! I purchased a 90 minute full body. I will admit I had low expectations (most people can't help my pain). This guy rubbed the heck out of my shoulders, neck and back. He worked magic on my feet and legs too (O dosed off) but he reeeaaalllyyyy made my neck and shoulders feel better. I literally tipped him $20 on a $50 service!! The 1 star off is for the weird smell in there. Smelled like food or something. Maybe from the restaurant next door not sure. They need some kind of aromatherapy flowing through the spa. read more

Called for same day appointment. The woman who answered was very soft spoken and polite. I didn't hear any background noise. Arrived at my appointment time. The door has a sign that says customers and employees both have to wear a mask. I wish she had told me this on the phone. I went inside to checkin and then went back to my car to retrieve a mask. They were running 15 min late. I wasn't in a rush, but I thought it was weird given that I had an appointment. A guy comes out and says hello. I respond hello back. A bit of silence and then he tells me to follow him. I go almost all the way to the back and saw two chairs. I use the restroom first, which seemed well-kept with soap and paper towel. Went back to room and saw the bucket but thought there was no water cuz it wasn't filled all the way up. Dude came into the room and was like put your feet in lol. Oops. I like the bucket cuz it has those balls on the bottom to run your feet on:) He came up to my head section and I told him no head and face. He nods and then touches my head and face lol. I told him no so he stops. I thought he would work on my neck and shoulders and arms but he just went to the feet. Feet massage was good! Then he had me flip over and he worked on my neck shoulders and arms. I booked a 90 min massage for $50. Tipped $25. Well worth it. Would go back again and can recommend. Good value:) read more

*This review is based on their chair massages, not foot reflexology* I'm so bummed to give Just Relax 3 stars but i've been coming here for chair massages for years and they have honestly gone down hill...a lot. I've given them a few shots as of recently and both times have left unsatisfied and almost feeling worse than when I walked in. They never seem to get the positioning right on the chair and after multiple tries and a few wasted minutes, I end up just dealing with it but in reality, that can actually do more harm than good. The pressure has been lighter than I would like despite saying that I like it really strong. They also use their forearms which doesn't seem to get into my knots and break up the tension the way I need. This last time, he recommended 10 more minutes and I said yes because I honestly felt like no progress had been made, but 10 minutes later I was still feeling just so-so. Guess I will stick with my regular spot and forego coming here again in the future. It seems that their masseuse talent has really downgraded and overall experience is lacking. That said, I do understand that chair massages are NOT their speciality, foot reflexology is, so there is something to be said about that as well! read more

This place was ok. Nice people. But definitely not the best reflexology experience I have had. This is the type of place that starts you sitting in the chair, and then lowers the chair for the back massage. But they don't let you take your clothes off, and most of the massage is done through a towel. Which obviously doesn't do nearly the same as skin to skin. Additionally - if you want 60min of back and 30 min of foot massage (instead of the opposite, which is the special), its $92 instead of $55. Definitely not worth that. Go next door to massage envy if you want a real massage at that price. read more

I brought two of my friends with me to get a massage. We each got the $50 package. When we went to check out and pay, I added a five dollar tip. The owner (?) complained to me that five dollars wasn't enough and pointed to a sign that said because of Covid etc. they would like a 20% tip. I tried to explain to him that he just made $150 for me and my friends and he STILL wanted the extra five dollars. I thought that was so RUDE that I pushed my charge receipt back at him and got the dirtiest look. They also charge one dollar to use a credit card. I have gone here for a while as it is close to my home but I have to say it is very inconsistent. Some masseuses are great and some are terrible. I have had great experiences with the females and almost always terrible with the males that work there. Yesterday, I had the most painful hour of my life that i PAID FOR! I was with another person and didn't want to ruin there experience so I sat there wincing and moving my feet away to get point across. None taken. The guy was very hard on my feet which actually hurt badly and didn't massage my feet just sort of rubbed them back and forth. He stuck his knuckles so hard into my feet it actually caused me to tear up. So disappointing!! He was the young guy that works there so please aware when going. He needs proper training. read more

I see all the reviews and I don't get it. I was trying to communicate that my neck really hurt and asked if that was part of the package to rub my neck. I don't believe they speak a single work of English. The guy that did my massage was not worth it. Besides the foot water that was barely Luke warm, it was like someone putting lotion on, not a muscle massage. It was the lightest massage I've ever had. At one point he stuck his fingers all the way inside my ears, not my thing at all. Anyway, I immediately drove to my normal place, "Foot Spa" on 28th & Indian School to get ANOTHER massage. Smells nice in here, quiet atmosphere mixed with outdoor noises and car horns. Nice ambient music to relax you. Bring a sweater or you will be pretty cold since the AC is blasting in here. Half attempt at foot massages for both of us here. The lady who did mine seemed friendly, the guy who did Donnas feet harassed me for a tip while she went to the bathroom. "Where is my tip? You have her a tip, where is my money?" NOTE: Donna saw her fold the towel from my face and out it back on the chair for the next person! I thoroughly enjoyed my first foot massage while waiting for my car to be serviced in South Scottsdale. After a bagel at Einstein's I was walking around and noticed a foot and leg chart in the strip mall at Thomas and Scottsdale Rd. I had no idea how many body parts are allegedly connected by nerves to your feet from the big toe to the heel. Over the years I had thought about getting a foot massage, particularly after long hikes, but never did. Just taking off my boots after hiking was good enough for me... Since I was spending a lot on the car I thought I needed to feel good this time. Not knowing what to really expect from a foot massage I was pleasantly surprised with the price $28 for 45 minutes. I was the only one there when it opened at 10 AM. In asking the owner I found out "Just Plus" had opened at this location in December and was offering an additional 20% off until the end of April. With time to kill I decided to take the plunge and commit to my first ever foot massage. The owner sat me down on one of the four cushy chairs while I relaxed. In a few moments Cindy came with the bucket of just the right temp water/tea mixture. My feet were wrapped in plastic and chair inclined. I received a totally comfy head, shoulder and arm massage for ten minutes or so followed by the foot massage. Each foot was worked on one at a time and felt good even with ticklish feet. The only down side was a few moments of mild "pain" when the arch of each foot was massaged. Otherwise, I would now be more inclined to get another foot massage if and when the opportunity arises. read more

I had a somewhat relaxing experience here and I would come back possibly if they made a few changes. The therapist was great and the rooms are nicely decorated, but there were a few things that really put a damper on my experience I had to wait about 30min for an appointment which is fine since I did not call head so definitely call ahead before going in. First of all it is quite bright in there which makes it hard to fully relax even with a blind fold since its just a white towel. The walls are extremely paper thin and it is quite loud! You can hear people talking in normal voices outside the shop which is next to a water and ice and subway so there is a lot of traffic so its really hard to fall into a deep relaxation. Also they do NOT turn you over or work on your back. That was really the thing I did not like about most about my experience. They should really consider doing back work there. Every other thai massage or reflex place I have been to does back work so it was dissapointing when I did not receive that especially for an hour long service. Bottom line First Class Foot spa is the absolute best and most relaxing Reflexology place in the Phoenix Metro area, but if you are in Scottsdale you are better off going to Thai Royal Massage and this place as a last resort. read more

I was rather excited to get treated to a bit of pampering last weekend as I have been quite a stress bunny lately. Just Relax seemed promising enough and reasonably priced. We arrived a little early for our appointment, so we waited in the lobby area. The couches were rather firm, but I suppose they didn't want people to get too comfortable before things even began. I was a little annoyed by the disarray in the waiting area: scattered magazines and a humongous tray covered in assorted cheap hard candies were a little distracting (to me, at least). I like my massage waiting rooms to feel a little more zen, but I figured that this is generally a non-existent issue for most people. We were shown back to a shared room. I was delighted by the warmth of the foot bath, but that was pretty much where the joy ended for me on this trip. My masseuse might have still been training, I think. Although the primary focus of the massage was feet and calves, the masseuse did spend some time on my scalp as well as hands. The scalp massage was incredibly irritating. My hair is short, and I swear he was scratching my head like I was a dog. I snuck a peek over at my companion and he appeared to be getting luxurious strokes on his head. What the heck? It's a good thing they covered my eyes with a warm towel or I might have spent more time stealing envious glances at his massage. My masseuse continued to be brutal throughout the appointment. Granted, I can be a bit rough and tumble, but wow, I ended up with some serious bruising later on. In addition, I was rather perturbed by his continual whispering (I think he was getting a bit of on the spot coaching) throughout the appointment. I am all for on the job learning, but there should be some sort of warning to the client if the masseuse is still in training. I would have probably opted out. In addition, the tops of the rooms are open, so any noise is carried across from the lobby into the massage areas. One of the appointments after ours was a rather talkative fellow. It was incredibly jarring. I will admit that I felt much less tense a few hours later, so clearly the massage was effective. However, my overall experience could have been much better. read more

Was looking for a reflexology place after running a half marathon (my feet were crying to be pampered!). This was a great choice!! I went with the hour( only 35.00!). A very relaxing environment and quiet. For the hour I received a warm foot soak, full reflexology on both feet, calves, arms and head/neck massage. I even fell asleep! I have been to this place a million times. I am a member which gets you cheaper massages for $50 a year. You make it up pretty quickly. Today however, I was sorely disappointed. I went to pay and the guy who did my massage didn't like my tip. I didn't tip as well as I normally do because he had to stop my massage many times to wipe his nose. It was gross. He let me know that I save $6 with my membership and that's what I should tip. Not sure if I will go back now. read more

In a word, this place is...AMAZING! The prices are affordable and ambiance is really calming. I found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out after work. I purchased the 60 minute foot reflexology - and for 60 glorious minutes, I melted away into pure calm! The cost is only $35 for 60 minutes, but if you purchase their membership, you save $ each time on each service. I highly recommend it if you plan to come more than 5 times! Well worth it! The 60 minute reflexology session puts you into a lovely, recliner chair...they put towels over your body, and you put your feet into a warm tub of water. It's very sanitary, as they use a wooden tub and a "new" plastic bag with water for each new person. They start massaging your head/scalp massage, neck, shoulders and then spend majority of their time on your feet/legs. You are fully clothed, so it's very easy to just lay back and relax. They give you a bottle of water with each session, which is great to replenish after the reflexology process. Go there TODAY! read more
